Default Do you still suck in on pictures?

Hey all!

My question is, do you still suck in on your pictures? Do you do it in only pictures you are taking with friends or do you do it in your Before/After photos too?

I used to suck in ALL the time. I refuse to do it in before/after photos but I find myself still sucking in sometimes when with friends. Which is weird because I'm so much more confident in my body now. It's like I have to remind myself I'm not 200+ anymore and honestly, what was I trying to suck in then anyway? It was a hard round belly. lol

When I suck in, it's not just my actual gut that goes in, but that area between the top of my rib cage, so then it just looks like I have this huge dip between my ribs. I definitely make sure I have good posture in pictures so that I don't look worse than I actually am, but I don't suck in for pictures anymore, no. It never really made me look that much better before anyway, to be honest.

I do. I still have that small little pouch at the bottom of my tummy, and although I've gotten much smaller, I hate when it sticks out...although I'm not sure sucking in actually makes me look smaller

i always suck in, in my pictures. i even found myself sucking in, in my before and after pictures! this may sound weird, but i even suck in when im walking around. when i realized i was sucking in when i was taking my before and after pictures, i tried to release my stomach but it felt like i was pushing my stomach out. my point is, my stomach has been so use to me always sucking it, i dont know wether im 'releasing' or pushing my stomach out while im taking my before and after pictures!

Lol. Missmandie, I am a full time sucker-inner too. I do it without even realizing. I would say its more of a 'pulling my abdominal muscles in' because its not like a take a huge suck in and hold my breath. I just keep my abs taught all the time. I don't even realize I do it anymore, cause its natural. I have to consciously release it to see what my gut looks like...I can't wait until I don't have to admit to that anymore!!

I stand tall and tighten up. It really doesn't make any difference to my thick or thinness, but it does broaden my shoulders and makes me look more confident.

jaimie and missmandie, DON’T STOP DOING THAT!! i was in a habit of doing that in jr high, and one day i decided to stop. had to physically push my stomach muscles out bc they were so trained. now my core is all out of whack and i have back problems bc of relaxing the stomach muscles. if it’s second nature and not bothering you to do it, keep doing it. your back and posture will thank u.

I'm with Jaimie, I do the same thing all the time. I don't know that I've ever actually sucked in for pictures; when I was really heavy, I was too heavy for it to make a difference and now I'm trying to be proud of my body for what it is, so I don't want to "fake" anything. (Although, ask me to take pictures with a bunch of really skinny girls, my answer may change )

I like that your profile is with you and a guys sucking on your friend sucking on straws.

I do sometimes. It is actually good for your tummie muscles (just a little bit) because when you are sucking in your a contracting at least some of your ab muscles. Or at least that is what goes on in my crazy brain.

i don't usually do it, although i did do it last friday this guy at my friend's goodbye party (who was totally annoying) wanted to take a photo with me and there wasnt a lot of space to sit in the booth so i kinda had a half cheek in there, and then my friend tells me i should put my arm around him (urgh) so i was balancing in a super weird position that made my gut pop out. lol. i was like "must. hold. it. in!" lol...

I am constantly sucking in my stomach and have to force myself to stop on those rare occasions when I don't feel like I have to. I can't remember when I started doing it, but it doesn't bother me, and probably isn't bad for the stomach muscles...

I don't suck in my stomach, but I stiffen up and bend myself awkwardly almost reflexively.

If I am taking progress photos of myself, I suck in.
