Thought I would move my post over here, seems like a new thread is needed.
Whoo, I finally got here. I am (as usual) not doing well OP, I really don't know what my problem is, just eating out of control I guess.
PJ, Hey girl hand in there I am up to 172.5, from 155.5, believe me I know how you are feeling right now. Just remember that we can all do this together. It seems you and I always seem to be going in the same direction at the same time. Let's turn this baby around and start heading down. I know how depressing the weight gain is and how horrible it makes you feel. I am still down 48.5lbs from my highest weight but I feel incredibly horrible. My clothes are too tight and I am very uncomfortable in my own skin. I am going to have to go out and buy bigger suits for work if I don't turn things around. I am going out to a 40th birthday party this weekend and I definitely have to go buy a bigger pair of jeans, they don't give like slacks do . Anyway, I am right there with you and as always here for you. Hang in there.
Erica, you sound like you are doing just wonderful. Somehow I lost that feeling and need to work at getting it back.
Candice, congrats to you. Don't you just love it when someone calls you thin?
Freddie, I will not be in Va Beach at Thanksgiving time, Janessa and the baby are coming up here. I can't wait to see the little tyke!!
Have a happy day everyone.

Is it hard for any of you to adjust to a new point range? I'm gone from eating between 26-29 points to 22-27 and I'm struggling. Even though in the past when I was eating higher I've done below the low number. It's strange I know....but I've been chugging my water. Unfortunately, yesterday was the first day I was not able to complete my gallon of water. I was just so busy at work and then we had a "curriculum nite" with the parents so I really couldnt drink my water. I tried to finish it when I got home, but by the time I did get home it was already 9pm and I hate drinking water so late cause I'll be up the whole nite peeing. SO...I forced myself to drink my gallon today and was able to finish it by 3pm. I was pretty proud of myself!
AAARGH! I went the mall the other day and it was busy! I dont do well in large crowds like that...they just get in my way. That's the one thing I hate about xmas shopping! I got some done though.
Well, I'm gonna go....tomorrow is weigh in. I have to go count up my points and see how I did. I dont think I did too bad, but we'll see. And I'll let you all know how I did with weigh in!
bye for now

We are trying to make a love connection between my friend and his friend:) We'll see how it all works out. We are going to a Mexican Restaraunt. I love mexican! And they make great Margaritas.....i'm going to go way over tonite in points...but i'll make up for it throughout the rest of the week.
I better run and start getting ready...Take care everyone and have a great rest of the weekend!

How are you all doing?
Wow, November is really flying by. We had an ice-storm here and I lost my electricity along with my hard drive for a couple days. I hate losing my hard drive, I really should get into the habit of backing it up.
Does anyone have the ww desktop hamburger points calculator? I lost it and would love to have it back. My e-mail is Punnky@att.net if anyone has it, please send it. Thanks.
My grandson will be here tomorrow and I really am going nuts with excitement. I just can't wait. I will take some pics and scan them for you guys.
Candice, Yum! I love Subway, you get a nice sandwich for not too many points. I haven't been there for awhile, I think it is time. I usually get the ham, no cheese or dressing, tons of veggies. Okay this is making me hungry.
Erica, it sounds like you are really doing wonderful with your losses, keep up the good work. It must be all that water. Yes, I find it very hard to go down a level in points allowed. It doesn't seem like it should be such a big deal but it is and it usually makes me crazy. Hang in there.
Freddie, Have a wonderful thanksgiving yourself. I hope you have decent weather for it. How are you doing?
PJ, hey girl, how's it going? How's sunny Florida? When we had that Ice-storm all I could think about was jumping on a plane and coming down south.
See Ya

The Holidays only come once a year gals so don't just dream..but enjoy...only limit the amount! Easier said than done..I baked my first batch of cookies this season and ate way too many so today I have had no sweets..well some PB but that was only 2 pts. Still have 8 pts to my min. so I can be good when I have too..but I don't like to all the time!
Computer is acting up again.....oh we had chicken and dressing for supper on our annivesary..... I let DH pick up what he wanted and I got some nice flowers and some money......
HI Bren..I might have that pts calculator but here is a site you can go to for now. I Like it better.keep it bookmared to check pts on recipes when I am on the net. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kreider/Points.htm

I'm talking to myself here!"lol: I guess you all are too busy right now..thats' ok but I miss ya too!:)
Totally op for 4 days now and have 10 and about to be 15 banked points....like to have them handy to fall back on cause you never know what eating out will do to your pts! I usally go with at least 20 and have never gained a thing..but Ido watch what I eat very carelfuly..too carefully some say! I keep 2pts of soy nuts, v-8. an apple and 1pt beef jerky on hand to eat when I am out and about..these things will be in the car with me too!
I have printed out eating places with pts too so I'm good to go with eating I think...we will worry about the Christmas baking when I get back:)

Ok, this week has not all been too great! And I don't have anyone to blame but myself. I'm just in the Thanksgiving mood and have the idea that since it's this week it's ok to eat anything I want the whole week and as much as I want. I have not been a good girl. I'm afraid to see what the scale is going to say to me, but I'll weigh myself anyways...jeff and I will be driving up to New Jersey early Thursday Morning. I have to pick him up from work. I'm sure traffic is going to be nuts. I've never driven a long distance on an actual holiday, so it'll be an adventure. Hopefully we'll beat some traffic anywhere it may be bad. Anyways..I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and good luck to everyone with points! Crossing Fingers!
Love ya

Erica:
Hope you had a nice drive to New Jersey. I went to Norfolk for Thanksgiving dinner at Tabb's. The food was horrible.I think they decided to take the day off and just use prepackaged stuff.
Hope all is well and Happy Thanksgiving one and all. I had to get a new password.

So the drive to NJ wasnt' so bad...we got there around 3 and we actually didnt eat until maybe around 430ish....later than expected, but worked out for us. I made green bean casserole and candied yams....it's was funny because my family had no idea what candied yams were. I had to explain. Jeff loved it though. He wanted me to make them and I did. He had a little southern style brought up north. we are leaving saturday...stopping in maryland to say hello to aunts and uncles. then he has to work saturday nite. so it'll be a long day for him on saturday. hopefully he'll sleep some of the way!
anyways...i'm gonna go to sleep! I"m tired! Have a great weekend everyone!

HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
We were supposed to go up to Melbourne to have Thanksgiving with my parents but I was much too "ill" to go anywhere so I sent them up and I stayed on the couch/ bed all day. Has to have been the most depressing and worst Thanksgiving I've ever had.
I'm feeling a bit better today and I think it was very stress related. I've been doing way too much physical work lately and my horse, Missy....was pretty much "stolen" last week and I've been in the court building and police station for days and hours at a time. All I have to say is "what goes around.....comes around" and my Missy is coming home. No further details needed to be said. <grin>
I also "rescued" a miniature horse......here's a picture of him and my 14 year old daughter Jackie. He's like a dog. He was a real mess when we first got him and now I'm looking for a home for him. It's unbelievable how much these little guys go for....especially since he's a stallion and will be two in Feb. 2003. I've been offered up to $5,000. for him and I paid $800. just to get him out of where he was. His feet were a mess and he really needed a good "hoof trim" and alot of TLC. His manners are much better because he's much happier and I'm sure I'll have no problem finding him a great home.
So much to say and so little time since I'm already falling asleep at thie computer. I miss you all and as soon as time allows.....will catch up with you.
My love to you all,
~Pamela Jo~
Just one more picture. He's soooo cute. I don't want to get rid of him but if I kept all the rescues......I'd have to live on a 200 acre ranch. (Hmmmmm, sounds like a good idea...I'll have to give that some more thought):D
Effenbee
11-30-2002, 09:52 AM
I think you should live on a 200 acre farm. He is so cute. Are you sure he is not a Shetland Pony (? spelling)? Freddie
Hi Freddie
Nope...he's not a shetland. He's only 32" high. To be a true registered "mini" .... they can't be any larger than 36". Don't quote me on that one....it might even be 34". Anyway, yes.....he is a sweet little thing. Can't wait until it's warm enough for me to clip him and then you'll really see his color. He's got brownish/black skin with some black fur on his butt and through his mane and tail. When I trim him properly...you'll see an entirely new horse. As for now, I'm just going to trim his chin and facial hairs, the hairy stuff on his legs and maybe pull his main just a little so it doesn't grow in the wrong way.
I hope you are all doing well......I am back to my ole self today. :smug: a little tired ....now that it's 3:35pm and I'm about to do a few more errands and then start dinner......I'll be sleeping like a baby tonight. :tired:
"See" you all later.
Hugs,
Effenbee

I don't even know what a Shetland Pony is!!!! I have never been very near any horse. I always thought I should go see the wild horses in that part of Virginia when they are chased across the water. I can't even remember the name of the place but it is well-known - obviously not to me though.
Take care,
Freddie
Welllllll Freddie,
You said he looked like a shetland pony......so I said ..."no dhe doesn't". LOL And the "horses/ponies" you're thinking of are (sp?) The Chinchotique pony run. So......hope that cleared it up. ;)
Effenbee
12-01-2002, 07:45 AM
You are mad at me because I don't know my horses very well. I think yours are darling. Yes you are right about the pony run at Chinchotique. Have you ever gone there? I know I haven't.
Freddie.......no, no, no.....I am NOT mad at you silly. Sorry if it came across that way......I was being sarcastic with the weeeelllll Freddie part.....;) ......but it was all in jest, I assure you. How could I ever get mad at you??!!!!
Anyway, I remember when I was very young......my Mother bought a book for me about horses and we read the part about the Chincotique ponies AND the island....because my Father was offered a job there as an air traffic controller. It's supposed to be very, very beautiful and a wonderful place to grow up in. Oh well, we never did move there but I WOULD love to go and see the crossing of ponies one day.
So tell me, how is your Holiday shopping going? I feel at times that it is more of a chore than a pleasure but this year I'm pretty well prepared. Sooooooo, that's it for me tonight. I've got to get back to cooking dinner.
See ya later.

Since Chanukah is almost over, I have done most of my "presents" shopping. I still have to get something to give each of my TOPS club pals. Our Christmas party is Dec. 12th but since I am moving so slowly, I might not make the party but I will have something for each member of the TOPS VA #309, Hampton. I really have been very tired each and every day and don't do much besides fixing something to eat and making my bed. My kitchen floor needs scrubbing and I will get to it --- but when? Why don't you get on the Internet and try to find out the date for the pony crossing. Maybe I will be stronger by then.

Weighed in on sunday and to my astonishment, I only gained 1 pound back. So I have to make sure that I'm really good now until christmas because I dont want to mess anything up. I have all of my christmas shopping done;) except of course jeff's father's present. I have no idea what we should get him, so I'm leaving that up to jeff. I've done everything else. I've put up our christmas tree too! I love it! I did it the night we got home from NJ. then the next morning, I finished it by putting on the ornaments. I like it. Hopefully the cats wont destroy it. Had monday off. Felt pretty good. I went to the community college near by and registered for a class. I will be starting in January. Bought my books too. even though they were used, they were still very much expensive. Lord know why though. Anyways, I think i'm going to find something to eat for lunch. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Erica:
WELL YOU must be back in Virginia Beach now. We sure have some wintry weather here right now and it is supposed to get colder! I have turned on the water (in a sink) slightly in one of my back rooms where there is not much heat. I would rather have a large water bill then have pipes that burst. I hate cold weather. I should go to Florida for the winter.

Hi Freddie,
It's a bit chilly here, but not as cold as it is in NJ. Whatever the temp is here, minus 10 degrees and that's what it is up there! Jeff finally put the heat on:) I suffer for a month or so without the heat. I get cold very easily and he does not. I guess that's his warm bloodedness coming out in him. NOT ME! I'm cold blooded! flying south for the winter isnt bad. Be like the birds. I'm sure alot of people have homes down there that they live in for the winter season and another for the summer season. wouldnt be bad....you could rent it out in the summers and you live in it for the winters. NOt a bad thought huh?
Effenbee
12-02-2002, 04:04 PM
Hi Erica:
Who would want to rent it out in the summer only? I will have to figure that one out. I have a feeling that if you owned a house down there, you would have to shut it up for the summer - probably have to put iron bars on the windows.
Love,
Freddie

i guess your right...their summers are hurrican season isn't it? i'm not all there at times
Effenbee
12-02-2002, 05:58 PM
Hi Erica:
Well so is hurricane season here in Virginia in the summertime. I saw in the paper a few days ago that hurricane season was over, but I have had the worse high tides in the early spring or whenever we have had a northeast storm. I think I meant the iron bars to keep the thieves or street people out of an empty house. I wasn't even thinking of the hurricanes so I am not all there at times either.
