Hi everyone, my name is Zeli.
I was going to wait until the New Year to start my "get well program" of eating healthier and exercising....but after reading all of your encouraging words on this site, I've decided , WHY WAIT...I feel sick when I don't eat healthy, so...
I'm now 158 lb and if I wait, I'll have gained more... and I'll have to struggle to loose those extra pounds...SO HERE I GO!
I even walked one mile this morning, yayyyyy!!! have a great day everyone!

Good Job, Zeli! I used to be one of those wait till after the holidays starters. But, really what is the point? So you can gain more???? No more!

So welcome and kudos to you for starting today!

Honestly I did the same thing. I started right before thanksgiving. I'm not going to lie, it's been really hard, I've had some slip-ups but I keep thinking to myself, "just imagine how much I would have otherwise gained during the holiday season!!!!" I'm so tired of going through holidays and summers overweight! So hopefully since I started early I can really feel comfortable during both next year. To me it's worth the sacrifice!

Thanks all,
I know how hard it is...temptations are all around us!
But really, to feel better and to sleep better...it's all worth it.
You're all smart to be doing all your best, keep up the good work!!!!
One day at a time, we'll change our lives and be healthier!
Thanks for all your support

thanks Judy and Michelle,
I'm still at it! I'm having very healthy breakfasts, as opposed to just coffee...
walking one mile per day and 10 min of weight lifting, opposed to nothing at all, and most importantly to me...stopped sweet treats, just fresh fruits instead, yayyyy!

WTG! zeli :bravo: :cp:
You know I started small on the walking. I would walk every day and I would do a mile, then 2. I did 2 everyday for a month or so, then I started doing 5 and now if the weather permits I walk 7 miles on Sat, Sun is a toss up amd 2 mies the rest of the week. You can also walk inside (TEMP controlled - yayyyyyyy!) at a local mall if you have one. I love walking because it's F~R~E~E

Hi Zeli and best wishes for luck in your new lifestyle!

Anyone else trying to find the work the puzzle when it comes to diet and Fibro, Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm guessing you are referring to fibromyalgia. If so, there is a thread with a "sticky" in the Dieting with Obstacles sub-section that may be of help.
