The only down side to losing all this weight...
My period is so regular now. It used to be that I got it maybe 3-4 times a year. Now it's never more than a few days late. I feel like I have it ALL the time!

See I see the regularity as a positive thing. Nothing worse than getting surprised by your period and not being prepared! Ok so maybe there are worse things but that still stinks when it happens. lol.

HA! I was wondering about that... I know what you mean, but in the long run, it is an upside. Just one that I am absolutely dreading!

Oh man, I can't wait until mine is regular again! Like wibblewobble said, it's better to be regular than to be caught of guard, I HATE getting my period at a really inopportune time!!! But when is it ever a good opportunity to get a period? haha

I actually am relieved that it's very regular and thankful it's so regular now. When I was at my highest, I would skip my period or it wouldn't come for months... it always freaked me out.
I also read that fertility could be an issue if my period was irregular so it made me realize I needed to do something about it.

It is a pain, but it's also a GREAT sign! I went from 100+ day cycles down to 55 day cycles. Still by no means "regular", but certainly an improvement.

Uh! AMEN TO THIS THREAD!!!!
Yes, I feel womanly again but dang it, feeling womanly is SO OVERRATED! After the first 18lbs my period came back and BOOO!!! I too feel as if I CONSTANTLY have it.
Going from a person who never works out to who now works out 5x a week HARDCORE...it is NOT fun. I found the playtex sports tampons work best.

I'm on the pill so I got monthly periods anyway. Without the pill I get it every other month or so which is great, but my hatred of children is greater than my enjoyment of irregular periods.
I have noticed that since I changed things (then again I'm not sure if it was better diet, regular exercise or quitting smoking that prompted this change) up, my periods are lighter and there are no cramps or symptoms at all.

Its strange, but I've always always always been regular. Even at my highest, every 29 days no matter what. The only time I missed was the month my Mom died, and I missed completely, and then it was back as normal the following month. Lol, I always say its because the chicks on my Dad's side of the family are very fertile, and it has to be because of that.
Of course, I only have 4 a year now, but that's because of Seasonique.

I've always been regular too, Katie. Even at my highest weight. But mine were SO much heavier and painful. The lighter I get, the shorter and lighter my periods get

Yeah, mine were always regular. They haven't gotten any lighter, either, although I'm strange. I'll have one heavy, painful month and the next month will be light and fairly manageable, aside from the bloating.
I do notice the water retention much more now that I'm smaller. I woke up last week and it was like my boobs had gone up a cup size.

Oh I could go on forever on the topic of periods. Having a regular period is a great sign!!! You may not be considering your own fertility now but being regular will be the greatest thing ever when you decide to start your family.
And on topic of making it a little easier: www.divacup.com
I found out about the Diva Cup from 3FC a year ago and my only complaint is that I didn't find out about it 10+ years ago! It is the best thing ever. It takes all the work and worry out of menstruating.

I agree with preppingbride. I LOVE my divacup! I will never ever ever ever go back to tampons. It's very comfortable, NO leaks, and I only have to empty it once before bed and once when I get up in the morning.

I was always regular...when I was on the pill it was heavy for only 4 days and now that I'm not it feels like (not feels like) I am on it heavy for 5 days and 3 days are light so in total of 8...soo lame or my period will come for one day, stop for 2 then start up again for 8 days...
