Default Calories consumed vs Calories burned

When you burn off 800-900 calories working out, what should be your intake for the day?

Yesterday and today I burned 300 calories in the morning on the treadmill and 549 and 600 on the eliptical machine at lunch. After I finished my workout both days at the very end of the workout (the last five minutes) I feel really hungry and by the time I get off the eliptical I have the hungry shakes. Yesterday I was going to try to stay under 1300 calories for the day but I was FAMISHED and ended up eating 1850. So today I packed my food for two snacks and lunch so that I would end up at 1500 but I included extra so that I wouldn't be tempted by the empty calories in the snack machine. I've eaten all my food. It's like I can't get enough to eat. I have lots of protein, veggies and fiber with me to fill me up but it's not lasting as long as I'm used to my food lasting me. I usually eat every 2-2.5 hours but the last two days I'm hungry about 1.5hrs after lunch so I eat my snack and by the time I get home I'm really hungry So far today I'm at 1440 calories and I'm planning to see if I get hungry again this evening for dinner. I don't think it's thirst because I have already drank 114 ounces of water today and plan to have another 32 ounces when I get home. What is going on with my body? Should I be this hungry? Has my metabolism increased that much? Should I be eating 1800 calories if I'm burning 850+ calories or should I be aiming for 1500?

HELP!!!

I always burn between 800-1000 calories a day through exercise and eat between 1600-1700 calories. I am still losing weight on a weekly basis with that amount.

In your case, on the days you burn more though exercise, definitely eat more

Maybe between 1600-1800 calories.

Oh, and I wouldn't trust the calorie counters on the machines. They are way off.
