So I was thinking over this weekend about going forth with my Valentines Day Challenge....I don't give much woop to do about that day but I am going to use it as my "challenge"
Its actually not as far away as we think ;)
My goal by Valentines Day is to be in Onederland!!!!!!!!! Even if its stinking 199

I'll go for 285 by 15 Feb. I have no idea what my rate of weight loss is over time, so I'll adjust my goal if it's not challenging enough.

Great idea, I really appreciate having something to project through to, over Christmas and my January trip. It could be tempting otherwise to think O Christmas, I've made it - and lose momentum.
OK, I aimed for 25 by the 25th for Christmas, and hit that last week with 4 weeks to spare.
I'm going to aim for another 25 by the 14th, which will be a bit more of an ask, it's a shorter timescale; but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
25lbs off it would take me to 141.9..... wow, only 5.9lbs off normal!

I've been at the bf's house the last couple days so I dont have a scale so I'm gonna go with fridays weigh in and use friday as my weigh in day as well. (CHANGING GOAL: given the lack of progress 225 is not likely to happen unless I super restrict calories so I'm altering it to 235)

I'm going on vacation with skinny male friends who love to eat at the end of January, and definitely need incentive to stay on track over the time period... This challenge should help! Ky and AnnieOh --- you two are smoking this challenge! I hope you have some nice reward planned for Valentine's Day, because you are certainly earning it! Roses? Sexy new clothes? A night out dancing with your honey? A full week of someone else doing the cooking? (OK, I admit that last one is MY fantasy....)
So, jumping in late, but jumping in just the same. Five weeks, 10 pounds gone. That sounds like a reasonable goal -- and will put me in a new decade.

Well, my goodness! My goal wasn't ambitious enough. I guess the new goal will be: how low can I go before 14 Feb?!
SparrowSings: My reward is usually weighing less than I did before. :D My husband is a homemaker, so my meals and cleaning and whatnot are always done by someone else. Ha ha!

Last Week: 01/15/11: 237 (21lb to go.)
This Week: 01/22/11: 233! (17lb to go! To original goal.)
Not gonna make the 216lb goal by Feb14, but I realized that wasn't gonna happen back in December, when I had soooo many weeks right around 240!! My new VDay goal is 225lb. So I guess I have 8lb to go in the next 3 weeks.

Fitwayoflife: I eat on plan for South Beach (so good carb, good fat) and at about 1500 calories a day (a bit above or below of course depending on the day, but never ever hungry because that means instant failure with dieting for me). I'm also doing strength training (3 days a week P90X strength videos, http://hundredpushups.com program, and yesterday for the first time ran as I'm about to begin C25K).
It also helps that I'm still quite heavy. My understanding is that you often lose more weight each week when you're very heavy. It will no doubt slow down when I reach more a more moderate weight.

Ky and Annieoh, what are you both doing to lose weight?
I eat under 1500 calories a day, weigh or use measuring cups for my food, journal all my food, I always write everything Im gonnat eat for the day in the morning and follow it, I drink 96oz of water a day, excerise 5 times a week on my wii fit for an hour each time I try to burn at least 400 cals in that hour.

No forward progress this week. I've been running (four times) and keeping up my pushups and kettlebell swings, as well as eating on plan.
I just assume my insides are rearranging themselves this week and I'll see something on the scale another day. :)

So total I'm down exactly 22 pounds over the 11 weeks. I guess I can't really complain about that. Good luck to everyone else for your final weigh-in for this challenge, I hope it has been as motivating for you all as it has been for me. :)

Total loss 14lb. Missed my orignal goal of 216 for sure, had a rough Christmas season. Missed my revised goal of 225 by a little. Still, pretty dang happy to be down at all. Especially since 228 is my lowest post-college wieght!! :D

Yay for everyone who met or exceeded their goals! I got really sick in December (hello hospital) and ended up stalling bigtime. I only ended up losing 4lbs total but hey, better than nothing, lol.
