Default Green Tea

Now I know that green tea is apparently a very good thing to add to your diet and that it helps with weight loss. A friend of my brother lost a ton of weight on drinking it and eating healthier alone. I used to drink a lot of it but stopped because sometimes get bloated and read that avid tea drinking can cause bloating so to be safe I stopped and have stuck to water. But has anyone experienced success with a green tea regimen? I may start back up but would like to know people success or not with it.

I'm not on a green tea specific diet, but I use it as a "diet aid" I guess you could say. Green tea has tons of other benefits in addition to the weight loss help, so I would recommend drinking it regardless. Even though the bloating is uncomfortable, it could be better for you in the long run. I have noticed that when I drink my green tea daily, that those weeks are more successful than the weeks before I was drinking it =)

There is a tea by Celestial Seasonings called Candy Cane Lane. It's a green tea w/peppermint & vanilla. Unbelievably delish, hot or cold. I have about 3 dozen boxes of it in my house. Now is the time to stock up as it's only out during the holidays. Even the scent of it is heavenly. Enjoy!!

the trick is to drink it unsweetened though.
it's not the most bearable taste to start off but you get used to it and it doesnt end up being that bad

This sounds delicious. I'll look for it tomorrow. I'm a big fan of peppermint tea, but adding green tea and vanilla would make it even more tasty.

I really green tea with Jasmine. I drank it alot when I lived in Asia.

i find adding lemon to plain green tea helps ALOT. and don't boil the water, makes it too bitter. it's really great when you have congestion, opens up the sinuses and wakes me up! kinda like theraflu, but cheaper.

i love the different combos of teas too. i always thought green tea had the opposite effect of bloating, but i don't really pay attention.

Well I went through a week of bloating BAD which is or used to be very normal for me and I just looked up things that could cause it and tea was a factor so it could have or could not have been what it was. It may have been the milk. I am lactose in tolerate as of recently and it doesnt effect me in a way where id get sick or ehm other things lol but it bloats me. So I've since switched to almond milk and started taking lactaid pills
