I prefer buying meat directly from the butcher and I always marinate it myself. That way I know exactly what's on it. Remember, the butchers pinch of salt may not be yours. I'm very meager when it comes to using that.
After seeing how some of the "chefs" on the food network throw in salt etc. I much prefer doing my own seasoning.
