Default Hi, I have another question,,

I am wondering what you all think... I am doing 1200 to 1500 cal. a day and just started walking on a treadmill for 60 min. a day. I was thinking of walking twice a day at 60 min each. Is this ok to do?

If you CAN walk 60 minutes twice a day all the power to you, I don't really think that walking for 120 minutes would be considered too much in terms of working out / training.

It's probably fine, but if you only just started doing the 60 minute walking sessions, it might be of benefit to only gradually work it up to the two 60 minute sessions.. for instance, start out with two separate 30 minute sessions to amount to the time you're doing now, then after a week two 45 minute sessions, and so on until you're doing the 120 minutes total.

The only reason I'm recommending this is that it might come as a bit too much all at once like that if you've only just recently added the original 60 minute walking session. Of course, as with everyone results may vary, so if you feel you could jump right into 120 minutes then awesome! I don't see why it could be a problem in regards to the amount of calories you're consuming. Good luck.

If you can do it then awesome. But as a beginner be careful not to take on too much then get burned out and stop because of being discouraged.

Go for it, but if you find yourself slipping, go back to once a day, don't quit altogether (this is a very common mistake: we burn out, and think our chances are just 1) keep up at the higher rate or 2) stop entirely. The third choice, 3) dial it back, never occurs to us).

Also, don't be afraid to up your calories for a while if you are starving. It's better to up them 100-200 a day than to spend all day craving cheeseburgers because you are so hungry. When your body adjusts, you may find you can cut your calories back down later.
