Looking Good, Feeling Great - Hair styling tips/ideas

So I just got a short(er) haircut, for the first time in a loooong time. I'm excited about it. The problem is I have noooo idea how to style it. When I had longer hair I mostly just pulled it back in a ponytail (which I got really bored of, but I also didn't know how to style long hair! lol). Well, it's too short for a ponytail and I know I'm going to get bored with loose hair all the time.

Any tips or ideas are appreciated!

The only thing I could come up with is clipping some of it on top of my head. Like this:

Not the best picture of me...but it gives you an idea of what I have to work with. My hair is really poofy most of the time. :rolleyes:

I have the same issue - my hair isn't quite long enough to stay in a pony, but i don't like it down all the time either because it gets in my eyes. my solution has been headbands for those days when i don't want it falling in my face - there are some REALLY cute headbands out there lately.
