:df: I've been thinking about what I will be cooking for turkey day.

My MIL wants us to come to her house. I dont want to gofor several reasons!!!! I would much rather stay here in my home with Bob and the kids. So here is what I have planned so far. Of course this is subject to change because I dont know if I will be having company or not. I'm making some of the kids favs. that day too. I put a (*) beside the things I'll be eating.

Turkey and stuffing * just the turkey
Mashed potatos
Candied sweet pot. w/ walnuts
baked corn
broccoli with cheese *
fresh green beans *

corn bread with butter

desserts.....pumpkin pie

and I need to find something for myself thats LC. I would love to find something that's made from pumpkin. I dont even know how many carbs are in pumpkin. I need to check that out if it's low I bet you could make a custard out of it. YUMMY

Of course, I have to have a cup of GOOD coffee with my dessert. I'll probably add a little splenda and some homemade whipped topping. :dizzy:

DINNER AT PEACHIE'S!!!!!

yes, she's volunteered once again to cook thanksgiving dinner. i have to provide a pumpkin pie, which i'll order tomorrow. she doesn't want my famous apple pie with cheese crust. maybe she'll let me make some green beans.

or brussels sprouts. just the thing to feed 5 kids under 10!!!!!

Can I come to peachie's too??? Please, please!!!!!!

Since we will be home for our Thanksgiving meal I'll do the same old, same old.........if I try to change it I get moans and groans from the peanut gallery.

Turkey.......duh  You know I really don't like turkey

sausage dressing, which hubby and I will argue about making, hey it's a tradition, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving if we didn't exchange words at least once about the dressing

mashed potato's and gravey (not giblet, just turkey gravey)

fresh green beans..found a terrific new recipe to try, low-carb too, I'll post it.

white shoepeg corn (the only kind daughter will eat)

ambrosia

cranberry sauce

rolls or biscuits whatever they want

homemade pumpkin pie

frozen chocolate pie for hubby

and who knows what else

deb, no point in making something you don't like. after all, what's the point of going through the surgery to eat food you don't want????

how about tossing in a cornish hen for yourself? that ought to last you for the rest of the week!!!!!

AND you are ALWAYS welcome up here. peachie doesn't have extra bedrooms, but mom and i do, if you can stand that dog.

Jiff! You have an extra abedroom! Never tell me that! I'd even sleep with the dog - not with Mum though! I'm really into interspecies dating!
