Default Finally setting some goals

I have made other weightloss-related goals, and frankly it just seems impossible to me, so I have made some goals that don't have to do with weight! I'm thinking (hoping) this might be an easier start. So, here goes:
1. Get up and get moving! If it's for 5 minutes, or 60 minutes, Get up and MOVE your butt!
2. Stop snacking at night! (Going to bed earlier helps!)

I figured one exercise related goal, and one food related goal would be a good way to start off "simple". For whatever reason, I can't seem to "jump right in" with the whole diet and exercise thing. I like food, and I hate to exercise, lol. So hopefully I will follow through with this goals.

Sounds soooo familiar! My goals for November:

Exercise. Move. Get up.
Drink more water.
Sleep. Start going to bed early again.
Watch the snacking -- follow the timeline.

Baby steps, right!? Oh, and TV = snacking for me. So, I try to read or do computer instead. I suppose I could exercise then too, but....

Those are some GREAT goals! I put off losing weight for so long because "lose 50lbs" or "run a 5k" or "quit eating junk" all seemed so impossible. Also, I think people make the mistake of making goals like "lose 10lbs by next month" or something. Those goals are easy to fail at even if positive changes and progress has been made. They get discouraged and give it up altogether.

Best to start out with things that you can control and with baby steps. Hopefully you'll find your goals fairly easy to stick with and you'll see some progress on the scale. You might be inspired to challenge yourself with going a bit further and get addicted to progress and accomplishment.

Yeah I have a hard time "jumping right in" sorta. If I try to jump right in to too much, I am done. Cannot do it. So, I started with the diet portion (mostly because that was easier to do and because I knew that the exercise portion would be easier once I dropped some pounds). About six weeks into the diet portion I started the exercise portion. That was a more rocky start LOL. I finally got a work out video that I love love love.

Just go a step at a time, with things you know you can do. The rest comes

Those are great goals... and the most important thing on this journey is you have to set goals that you can live with.. and they sound very easy to live with

I have similar goals:
On treadmill if watching TV
No more food after 7PM
Early to bed - has been the lifesaver for me!
