I'm up and have been since 3 when Hershey asked for her preggy pee trip! Of course, Lucy had to go out too and then yipped and whined until I finally got up for good at 4! We had a really cold night so I stoked up the woodstove and warmed up the back room even before I had coffee. The "lad" bringing us more firewood has not shown yet so a phone call this morning is in order.

Yesterday I was saved by the bell from going waaaayyyy off program! I was at the shopping centre and heading for the Chinese buffet when alarms went off and the loudspeakers told us to evacuate now! So everyone went outside and stood around in the cold. I just got into my car and left and went to Swiss Chalet for chicken and salad! I figured standing around outside the building was not too swift if there was a bomb! False alarm, I found out later when I went back to spend my Fair Board gift certificate. I bought two suede-look shirts - a black and a red. How extravagant! Now I need to shorten the sleeves. :(

My mammogram was OK - I told the technician about the cartoon that was posted in here by ageoldie. She wants a print of it to post in the dressingroom. Giggling makes the squish a bit less painful.

Hey, DH is up, the dogs are happy and I am sleepy. I think I'll have my afternoon nap really early - like now! :D See you later.

Good Morning Ruth and L and all those to come!

Was sooo busy yesterday that I barely had a chance to sit! My father in law sent us a nice chuck of money to buy me some new winer boots and a coat (for Christmas). The kicker is he sent so much money that I was able to buy Miree 3 sets of jammies (much needed!), myself 2 pairs of jeans, some socks, undies, new jammies and other small stuff. Called him up last night and thanked him profusely. I bought a polar fleece lined coat and some Sorels--now if that doesn't keep me warm, I don't know what will!

Got home around noonish after the shopping extravaganza and had a mountain of work to do--board business, laundry, KP duty, you name it, it was there.

Today we're off to drop in and more on the agenda for this afternoon.

Ruthie, those shirts sound so nice! I was thinking that red one would be lovely with my new black jeans. Could I borrow it?

L, I have to get a brow wax too--think unibrow and you're getting the picture

Have a great day everyone!

Jennifer I didn't make the swiss steak yesterday, I must do it today or the meat will go bad on me. I'll check the receipe section in a little bit.

Ruthie, is that Hershey in your photo? If it is, she is beautiful!!

Peachie, how was the trip? Sorry I didn't meet you at the airport, and sorry I didn't call. How were the crowds at Disney?

Pooky what a nice gift from your FIL.

Jenny, "Drama King" new one, I have heard of drama queen, but never drama king.

Chrissy I remember when you got your puppy, I'm sorry to hear he is causing your alergies to kick in.

I did manage to get to Kohl's yesterday, they had some terrific deals. I found lots of Christmas gifts. My daughter, even tho she is 16 is on a Scooby Doo kick, I found a Scooby throw and HUGE Scooby shaped pillow for her, both 50% off!!! I always give my kids new Christmas ornaments at Thanksgiving, so they can use them during the holidays, found some really cute ones yesterday 50% off!!! I felt like I hit the jackpot. AND..................the most exciting thing! I was able to spend over TWO hours in the store walking from one end to the other, many, many times and I didn't get worn out, nor did my knee hurt!!! I feel I have been given my life back!!

Believe it or not, I'm going shopping again today, Sam's and a couple other places.

Have a great day
Debbie

Morning, all! Sleepy this a.m. and dd didn't want to get up. As per usual. Anyway, later to school than I would like, traffic was horrible, and the dumb car radio clonked out on me. Talk about boredom!!

Ya'll have a wonderful OP day. Repeat after me: Halloween candy is evil!

Halloween candy is evil! Halloween candy is evil!! Now if I can just remember that when Im infront of the bowl! Think I'll make a sign :)

Yesterday was a good OP day, feeling like today will be too.

Not much planned except work, and hopefully getting a few loads of laundry done tonight. Planning on putting a pork roast in the crock and having pulled pork (minus the sugar) for supper. Its our late night tonight.....and we dont get home til 7. Which reminds me I best pack a few snacks to hold me over.

Ooooooh I went to the library yesterday (exciting eh?) lol, anyway, I found a book by my favourite author, and I didnt know that she had a new book out. Diana Gabaldons new one, "The Fiery Cross" 979 pages.....I think Im set for fireside reading for a while. If you love books with romance/excitement/history and lots of action..read her stuff. But start at the beginning of the trilogy The Outlander I believe is the very first one. Excellent read!

Ok, I think Im done......you ladies have a great Thursday!

Morning ladies,

I think I should go home and go back to bed. First I was "bit" at the Y this morning by a weight machine that pinched my forarm and left a tiny painful and dark blue mark. Second I never encounter a train at 6:30 in the morning, but this morning I was stopped for 10 minutes by a train. Then I lost my employee badge and could not get into my office, had to drive to a guard house to get a badge. When I get to my office I have a message from a friend cancelling our movie date for tonight.

Well I guess it can only get better from here.

Ruth ~ I love your new avatar! It renews my desire for a PWD! I will have to start saving.

Linda ~ Hope you are able to participate in that clinical trial, it will be a great experience and may offer some additional motivation.

Pooky ~ How nice to have that gift of extra spending money, sounds like you spent it well.

Debkay ~ I never made it to Kohls, sounds like you had fun.

Hi there L and Goodforme have a nice day!

MamaJ ~ thanks for checking in, hope you are on the mend, hugs and prayers for you.

Peachie ~ Have you returned from the mouse house? Did the boys have a great time?

hugs, luv, and op wishes!

Good morning! Start of another good day, fingers crossed that it stays that way! Exciting day ahead (not) - I have to go get some primer for the cabinets and extra brushes...Rob says he will help me paint! Somebody scrape me off the floor...Then I get to go to Wal-Mart and get my oil changed and Leenie is invited! Then stopping off at K-Mart on the way home to hopefully pick up some more freshwater shrimp and cashews. If you all have a Super-K, they have the cheapest cashews of anybody and they taste good! They are MUCH cheaper than the other stores around here. They also have some jumbo freshwater shrimp that is great. No fishy taste, so big that 5-6 is an entree. Yum! Oh, and gotta take Rob to get his allergy shots, so my day is full. Oh yeah, need to plan something exotic for dinner! Or at least new...since I have time off from work I need to spend it trying new recipes like I have told myself I would do for months.

Ruth, that nap sounds great! This morning Cody crawled in bed with me between breakfsat-school, and it was great to lay there and doze off. He's such a sweet kid, took laying with me over cartoons! He does the same thing with my parents, so I wonder if he is looking at me as older!

Jenny, I hope your day ends better than it started! :( I'll go to the movies with you!

Oh yeah, Ruth again! I almost did the terrible chinese thing last night too! We were planning on going, and I knew it wouldn't be good, that I would have good intentions but still wind up with an egg roll and some sweet and sour chicken. I mentioned another restaurant that has salads and Cody and Rob went for it. Whew!

Speaking of restaurants, today I will probably be faced with lunch 'out' while we run errands, so keep your fingers crossed that I make it. Restaurants are my downfall. I do FINE at home.

:df: Hello everyone,

Today I am going to do my best to stay OP. It has not been an easy thing to do especailly since I got so use to eating what ever I wanted....not needed but wanted.

The boys are all done with their school work. It usually take 3-4 hours depending on what we have planned. It was a good day.

I have so much housework to do it's not even funny. Then sometimes this evening I have to go to my agency that I work for and watch OSHA videos. It's required for me to do this once a year. I hate the videos. They are the same thing all of the times. I think they sould just me a test to see if I know the stuff, which I do, and then let me come home!

The dog is now on his leach attached to one of my sofa legs. It's keeping him settled down, around us, and he doesnt have the ability to go into the extra bedroom and lift his leg on something.

I still have my benadryl hangover. I need to see what else the Dr. is willing to try with me. I hate feeling like I'm in a fog.

Bought more bacon last night. I didn't eat any of it yet....but I will.

Later, ChrissyB

I left off the most important part of my mantra this morning.

Mexican Restaurants are evil, Evil, EVIL!! Getting depressed and going out with your best friend are not conducive to dieting!! Off to drink some water and try not to feel myself expanding.

Ya'll have a good night!

Well, another busy day for me, but still OP. That's nearly two complete weeks on LC and nearly a week in ketosis. Yahooo.

This morning I had a meeting of my women't club and it went until 1:30. I then went for groceries to stock up on low carb veggies and meat...lots of meat. LOL

WHen I got home yesterday there was a message from my doctor's office that he wants me to come in. They have the results of my bloodwork and urine tests. I hate when they do that and don't tell you if there's something wrong or they just want the fee for the visit. So, tomorrow morning I go to the doctor. Might as well get my flu shot while I'm there. Then I have some major housework to do. This place has gone to h*ll in a handbasket lately. I still have lots of painting to do on the wooden step stool. Luckily nobody asked to see it today at the meeting. I was feeling quite defensive about feeling so burdened with chores for my club. Silly me. Why don't I just say no?

Robin I have read every book in that Outlander series. The Fiery Cross is a very long read though and, IMHO, not the best one. I think there will have to be another sequal because the story is definitely not over yet.

Oh, gosh, you guys make me feel so guilty for not getting ready for Christmas. I just have no enthusiasm for it at all. The other day I asked #2 grandson what he wanted and he said "MONEY". I told him it's no fun to watch someone open a money gift and he said it was fun for him. Sheesh! Kids! I'm sure the last thing he'd want is a crafty flower pot with candy flowers. LOL We totally spoiled both boys when they were preteens. They could hardly see the Christmas tree for all the gifts we bought but now they are in mid and late teens and only want gift certificates and money so they can get what they want and it's easier but no fun anymore.
Ruth you really are going to have to give those girls of yours some knock-out drops every night. I don't know how you survive on so little sleep.

Sherrie, you aren't the only one that falls apart in Mexican restaurants! I finally made it through one guilt free today. Has never happened before!

Had a very stressful day, a load of crap I didn't need, so it was hard to say no to food, but I did.

I made it back from Las Vegas with my 1000.00 win:cb: :dancer: :high: :lucky: :goodvibes Of course I'm not going to mentions how much I spent, but not 1000. It was fun to actually come home with money in my purse, I was playing away on the Wheel of Fortune machine winning just enought to keep playing. I was down to my last 27.00 before I was going to give up and go to bed. Then with 1 spin of the wheel I was a 1000.00 winner. I'll save it for our chick meet this year! Where did we decide on?

Anyway, I am now back home and feeling a little better. We were not even supposed to leave until today, but with Mark in the hospital, we decided to come back home early and we drove almost straight thrugh.
We stopped for the night last night, but barely.

We went directy to the hospital and he's doing pretty good., but he is still having some bleeding and a little bit pf pneumonia. I didn't think they kept you this long for gallbladder surgery these days, but he said he will probally be there until Sat or maybe even Sunday.

I was absolutely terrible with my eating the whole time I was gone. Alvin said I ate like I hadden't eatten for six months. I told him it had been that long since I'd had anything GOOD to eat. Well, tomorrow is induction all over again. Back to life in the real world.

I'll try to castch up on posts tomorrow. I did take my computer with me, but had to use a dial up connection, and didn't check my email very often. When I checked it tonight I had 323 messages!!
