Chicks in Control - eating disorder vs. disordered eating?View Full Version : eating disorder vs. disordered eating? cherylmn 11-08-2010, 03:29 PM I found my answer. YoYono 11-08-2010, 03:37 PM Hmmmmmmm. I don't know, but I can guess: it would make sense to me if having an Eating Disorder meant having one of the clearly-defined disorders (ie Bulemia or COE). Disordered eating is an unhealthy relationship to food that either doesn't fall into one of the clearly defined catagories (like, say you will only eat foods that are green or purple... there's no name for that) or that is a combination of many different types of disorders (sometimes you starve yourself, other times you binge, other times you won't eat carbs - a generally unhealthy relationship to food). I think there is definitely a difference... that would be my guess as to what that difference is. cherylmn 11-08-2010, 03:38 PM That is exactly what I found online. Should have looked first! Thanks :). fat chick 123 11-15-2010, 06:35 AM disordered eating might not be the same as disorderd eating is described as. but it is in the same family vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
