Low Carb Archive - What's Your Favourite Time of Day?

My favourite part of the day is that time between getting up and getting organized. I turn up the furnace, Hersh and I greet Lucy, the girls go out, I get their breakfasts and my coffee, they come in and eat and then I take my coffee into the woodstove-warmed back room and we have a pet and cuddle time. Doesn't take much to keep me happy, does it? I always liked and needed a quiet time in the morning and used to get up an hour before my kids for that reason.

What's your favourite space?

Ruth, morning for me too!

I love my "me" time in the morning before anyone gets up.

I have always been a morning person, but I think I'm the only one in the whole house, which suits me just fine.

Gosh, wish I had a wood stove. My Grandparents always had a wood stove. I know this isn't low-carb, but the cook stove made the best buttered toast. Oh, memories from my youth.

Ditto for me too!

The morning is my favorite time of day. I get up and glance at my angels as they sleep. I can sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee without distraction and just plan out my day. I do miss my morning walks with my dear Kudo, I used to love to walk in the dark and admire the stars in the heavens above. I do enjoy my morning workout as time to spend on me!

This is a hard one for me. I love early morning, time alone, I sit on my deck have my coffee, watch the squirrles monkey about and enjoy the quiet of the morn, the clouds that surround the mountains start to lift. BUT I also love supper time, with family around the table, everyone yakking away....to see their faces, hear their voices it always makes me feel things are alright, life can sometimes be hard but we make it together as a family, sunday dinners are the best in my house! Perhaps cause I put more effort into making the meal a special one.

Oh, thats an easy one for me: when my kids file in all giggling and smiles from school. I work from home so I am usually here and I just love hearing all their stories of friends/teachers. It is very special sharing time for us all. Anyone with teens (my kids are 16, almost 14 & 12) knows that 'sharing' time is precious - it is a fleeting moment and if you aren't in the right place at the right time, its gone!

On the weekends, it's definitely mornings, to sit with coffee and have the day spread out ahead of me.

During the work week, mornings are pretty unpleasant- early, dark, rushed. I have been enjoying the last 1/2 hour of the evening before bed, or getting into bed early to read before sleep. We are experimenting with really early bedtimes, and it's helping me feel better in the mornings. And I just love getting under the covers and letting myself just relax all over, and the bed warming up, and taking a few deep breaths...and then...POOF...

it's morning! :spin: :sp:

but a new day is pretty cool, too! :flow1:

I love me time, after dd is asleep and the chores are all done. Love to take my bubble bath, read a little, and snuggle into my flannel pj's. Also love to cuddle with dd right before bed, when she's too tired to be manic!

Gosh, the selfish side of me says anytime of the day that I can be ALONE which is usually never. Husband works from home, I am never alone... It isn't that I don't love him, but I so desperately need pure solitude.

But the warm side of me says giving hugs and bye kisses to Cody before he goes to school. I always try to be happy and cuddly then, cos I want him to go to school happy and knowing I love him. I always feel so good at that time. If I am at work at that time, then I love the hello kisses when he comes home. It is nice to know he is home safe and still smiles when he sees his mom!
