Red face Underwear dilemma

I'm in the very, very unfortunate position of being between sizes. What do you ladies do about underwear when you're between sizes? The bigger size is so loose and baggy that they either start slipping off or they umm rub my "area" and cause tenderness. With the next size down the material that lines the thigh and personal area feels tight and again they cause discomfort. I need help!

I prefer small over large. I tend to get wedgies when my underwear is too big. It's tough being between sizes, but just vow to get into the next size that much quicker. It didn't take me long and I am a slow loser!

I try different brands, and different materials, to get underwear that fit. Sometimes a smaller size in a different cut will work, or the bigger size in a smaller cut. I actually went to Juniors underwear for a while, since it was cut in a way that better matched the shape of my body.

Yeah, I can't do big underwear - when it starts getting baggy, I go down a size. I get too many wedgies working out in big underwear!

last time I lost a significant amount of weight I ended up in thongs till I was finished. I figured if my underwear was all going to be in the crack of my butt I should just go for less underwear lol

Uber comfy cotton boy shorts with no elastic around the legs. I buy them a little small but since they stretch I'm good in 30 min or less

I'd try a different brand while you're in between sizes. S, M, L and 7, 8, 9, etc. don't seem to have any bearing on what size the undies actually are depending on the brand!

Thanks for all of the suggestions! My friend actually recommended I "take in" the too big underwear. Really? I had to give her a weird look for that one. People actually sew their underwear? I guess I'll be doing some underwear shopping (again!).

I'm kind of the opposite. I tend to favor larger underwear that actually covers the cheeks. I also wear a lot of skirts and stuff that isn't very form fitting, so maybe that has something to do with it.
I've tried thongs but just can't get used to them, I'm always pickin' 'em out....i really really want to like boy shorts but they bunch at the top of the thighs.... like someone said, size 9 in underwear isn't the same as a size 9 jean....ugh.
I suggest just trying different brands/sizing/etc....it would be nice if you could try before you buy, but then again, that'd be rather nasty.

I'm so picky when it comes to underwear. I only like the hi cut ones from VS. They have to cover my pooch and my buttcheeks. I'm having the same problem too though. They are starting to get too baggy in my butt and now I have to pull them all the way up to my belly button. I feel like I'm wearing "granny panties". I'm afraid to go down to the next size because I hate when my underwear are tight on my legs

haha, god I hate undies! Such a pain!

I do prefer to buy ones that are a little snug, because I also find that they stretch a little bit.

I also switched the cut of mine. If I was you, I would find a place with a sale - like 5 for $15 or whatever - and buy a few different pairs?

I always get cotton, it seems like there's a little more gentle stretch in them. Hanes and whatever the other cotton brand is in the Target 5-packs. And another vote for checking out a different style, like boyshorts or hipsters. I have switched to totally different cuts because it seems like my butt and hips haven't just changed size but shape!
