In the past month (since October 4th, dealing with the surgery and breast biopsy and all), I put on 14 pounds :o but I am happy to report that in the past week and a half of returning to exercising and calorie counting I have lost 11 of those pounds, wooo!! :D :D :D

That is great news that you have worked so hard at losing it again! One of my favorite weightloss bloggers has been maintaining a huge loss (110-ish pounds, if I recall) for four years now. She still has 20+ pound swings in her weight due to life events sometimes, but always gets in back under control. That, to me, is successful maintenance. Her biggest goals are health, and getting those swings to be smaller and smaller :)

That stress-monster can do a number on our health. I am so, so glad you could get yourself back to your plan and drop most of the gain. Carry on...you are doing great.

What a tough few weeks you had there. I can't even fathom it.

What is it they say? "You don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by staying there." Sounds like you picked yourself up there quite nicely.

You always have such good sayings. Never heard that one before. Simple but poignant.

I admire you for writing that down here, telling us exactly what happened to you.

And then even more for telling us what you're actively doing about it.

I think going through what you went through changes a person. That you've resumed healthy habits as part of your change says a lot about your resilience & inner strength.

You're awesome.

Way to reel it back in onderchic, life is hard to deal with sometimes & food is pretty automatic for most, offering great comfort during difficult times. way/weigh to focus on getting it off once you received the great news! You rock chicky:)
