I am a week late on the challenge, but I had a loss this morning of 2 pounds. I did well during the week, but ate too much Halloween candy this past weekend. I have sworn it off.

I am too embarassed to put my starting weight, so I am just going to list how much I'm up or down from the previous week.

Weigh in for week 2 on Nov. 4: down 2 pounds

I've been bad on this challenge. Sort of blew off last week. Not sure if I'll make my meeting Wednesday, but I will at least weigh in at home and post for better or for worse.

all I can say is that I can still fit into my pants and that I'm very very happy to say that I haven't gained any weight.

So, my week is pretty spotty. Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain this week while in London and Paris.

However, I'm excited for everyone's losses!

Susan / Seasaw yeah team !!! You go girl! and major thanks for getting this started this week.

I've been exercising more and so I'm hungrier... eating up my limit on points and then some.

How about suggesting easy quick snacks and recipies to stave off hunger but are really limited in points? \

I feel like I fell off the saddle again last week... probably why I didn't start Week 3. I'm singing the weekend / dining out blues... OK nuf whining. I guess I need to lean on y'all this week. I'm with LM... I also need inspiration (ie REWARDS to keep me on track - any ideas?

Points Summary for last week:
Mon - 18 pts (banked 5 pts and earned 3xtra activity pts)
Tues - 24 pts - no exercise
Wed - 30 pts - 3 + 2 activity pts = 25
Thur - 30 - 5 acty/banked pt = 25
BRAIN FREEZE OVER WEEKEND DID NOT WRITE DOWN
Fri - 30 est erned 1 acty pt
Sat - 30 est - major racewalk 7 miles (7 act pts earned)
Sun - 30 est

HAVE NOT WEIGHED IN YET THIS WEEK

M -- 27 - 2 activity = 25
T -- 27 - 2 act pts = 25

Way to go Susan & Laurel!!

Myra/Patch: I've been struggling as well this past week. My points were definitely up and it's been a challenge not to give in and eat everything in sight. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it getting dark earlier and the fact that the weather here has been dismal?

Lala: Congrats on being able to maintain!

Here's my week:

Wednesday: 30
Thursday: 21
Friday: 19 (1 AP)
Saturday: ??? (Went to high tea with my friend and then stopped for dinner (appetizers & beer)
Sunday: 24
Monday: 23 (2 AP)
Tuesday: 20.5 (1 AP)

I'll post my loss/gain after my meeting at noon today.
UPDATE: I don't know how and I'm not going to question it but I was down .6 today at weigh in!

Weigh Ins: My weigh in day is Wednesday so my first date was October 23.

Week 1: 137.2
Week 2: 137.6
Week 3: 137.0

I'll check through my journals/recipes for low point snack ideas...[

Melissa,

It sounds like you had a week like mine. I was amazed this morning when I didn't gain. I didn't lose either, but that is fine, and I am about 5 lbs. up from a few weeks ago. Hopefully things will start calming down and I can lose again.

Here is my week, or at least as much as I recorded of it. I must confess, I didn't do the best job journaling either. My range is 18-23.

Wednesday: Gave up journaling about lunchtime. Went way over.
Thursday: 22 points
Friday: 25
Saturday: 25
Sunday: 24
Monday: 27
Tuesday: Gave up journaling at noon again. It was a real disaster of a day.

On the good side, however, I did exercise five days.

Congrats to Laurel, katie and Melissa for the losses, to Myra and lala for maintaining and to Patch for all those activity points.

H-m-m, low-point snacks. You probably won't like my latest snack solution. We have tons of those tiny bags of hallowe'en potato chips left over, and I've been munching on them. 2 pts per bag, and I count them in the daily total (well, most of the time). It seems to take the edge off without going too far overboard on points. And I've rediscovered raw carrots with the occasional dunking of tzatziki (sp??). I kinda gave up carrots when the new program came in and I found out they had a point value. I've since decided that I lost weight before not counting them, so they can't make that much of a difference.

Outside of that, I stick pretty much to fruit.

What's everyone else munchin' on?

Hi all.

I had a 25 pt day yesterday and I consider it a victory even if it did consist of hershey's kisses and potato chips.

So, I'm munching on things that are not good. I have gone off vegetables. I don't know why.

More later,
lala

My low point snacks include: RF Triscuits (7/2pts), Laughing Cow Cheese (1); WW 2 Point bars; 1/2 bakers breakfast cookie; 1/2 english muffin with whipped cottage cheese (1.5 pts); Hershey's FF Hot Cocoa w/mini marshmallows (1 pt). Those are a few off of the top of my head, almost forgot the Cheesy Vegetable Soup (1 pt for 1 cup).

This soup is great and it freezes well. I just put it in those little ziploc round containers so I can grab and go. I've also used diced tomatoes and a small jar/can of chopped chilis rather than the Rotel tomatoes and have used fresh broccoli/cauliflower.

Cheesy Vegetable Soup

Makes 10 servings

2 lb of frozen veggies (California Medley is good)
3 cans Fat Free Chicken Broth
1 can Rotel tomatoes*
10 oz. light Velveeta

Dump the veggies, broth, and tomatoes in a pot and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes.

Cut Velveeta light in small pieces. Add cheese to broth. When it's melted in, you're ready to eat.

Serving size: 1 cup
POINTS: 1

*If you don't like spicy foods you could just use diced tomatoes.

Some people have used this over baked potatoes. This soup is so satisfying!

Enjoy!

Thanks Melissa. Sounds yummy, and easy too.

What size can of tomatoes do you use? I'm not familiar with Rotel and will probably use diced. Is it the 28-oz size?

Seems like I'm reading all your posts for the first time!

Congrats to Laurel Katie and Melissa for the losses. Major kudos to Myra and Lala for maintaining.

Melissa -- The Cheesy soup sounds wonderful.

OK Major Challenge coming up that I was not even thinking about... My 4th year anniversary on Nov. 15th. We're having a gathering at a favorite restaurant and we're ordering appetizers, etc. It's Italian, and while I've got antipasta and prociutto with melon in there on the list, the rest is just tasty fattening stuff.

Two challenges I see... one to not stress out too much over the next week and a half - and munch my way out of my already tight outfits. It may be that I need to wear something a bit looser and not any of the "hot" little dresses I got when I was at my ideal weight:(

Second challenge is eat under the limit for the rest of this week... and to bank points next week - saving them for that Friday night.

And then before ya know it - it's Thanksgiving and I'm cooking at my Mother-in-law's (Cape Cod). Help!

Susan: I think they're 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes. They're the soup can size.

Patch: You have a good plan and you know you can make it work. Just take it day by day. If you're going to order an entree could you just eat half and feel satisfied? Maybe be keep one of your "hot" little dresses out where you can see it for inspiration/motivation. You can do it!

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a mere 3 weeks from today.
