WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

So glad to hear this.

And you just made me schedule my annual mammogram in January, which I tend to put off doing, cause I hate getting my boobs squished between plate glass like microscope specimens.

I haven't posted in the other threads of yours but I have been reading them and sending positive vibes your way. I felt for you so much (I recently went through a cancer scare that turned out benign) so knew what you were feeling. I am so glad that everything has turned out for you! Many hugs.

Well, I went to the surgeon and he told me that the people where I got my breast biopsy done at should have never called me and told me that everything was okay and they would see me next year for my yearly mammogram. He said some of the tissue they removed was precancerous and I have to have another mammogram in 3 months. I realize this is not cancer and all but it is not the same as "Everything is ok, see you next year" either :| Plus today I am already super stressed :(

Did he give you any ideas to reduce your chances of pre-cancer becoming full blown cancer? (Are you on any hormones for birth control, for instance?) Waiting 3 months without being proactive would make me lose my grip on sanity. :hug: I'm so sorry you're going through this!

No, nothing :( But I also have an appointment with my primary doctor today as well and I plan on speaking to him about it. I am the kind of person who stresses over everything to the max so yes, 3 months with nothing will make me (more) bonkers :o. Thanks for your concern and support :hug:

First :hug::hug:

Now, take a deep breath. You still don't have cancer so that's good news. Great news actually. You had some precancerous cells and that sucks but they removed them and now they (and you) know to be extra vigilant in keeping an eye on things so that's actually a good thing. Not many people get to find things before they become something sinister so you've had fantastic luck here. Really. I promise.

Right now everything is okay but checking back in 3 months instead of waiting an entire year just makes more sense in your case since they did find those nasty little changer cells. They're being proactive and keeping a close eye on you - that's a good thing. It means that anything new that may (but probably won't) crop up will be caught early and taken care of so quickly that it won't have time to do anything!

Onederchic sounds like you could use a :hug:. At least they were not cancerous. They probably just like to have another image to compare it to in three months. Will pray everything goes well. Try to keep busy and eat healthy and hope the time goes fast.

Frustrating turnaround on the test results, but the good news is that you got a warning, instead of actual cancer. You know to follow-up, and so do they. That means that if anything does actually develop, it will be caught and treated early. Another plus on your side. Don't borrow trouble or worries. Try to focus on that support team (doctors and here!) and the warmth of that caring.

There are anti breast cancer meds on the market. My doctor has me on tamoxifen. You might want to ask about it?

Good luck and I am sending hugs your way.
