Diana - woot! on finally getting to the 180s! Man, that was tough for me, too :lol

Eclipse Thank you! There are certain "decades" that stand out for me. The 230's, getting from 200 into the 190's and going from 190 to the 180's. Just awful! The rest was a breeze. ;) :D

ETA: Well, now that I think about it going from 200 to 190's and 190 to 180's were both shrouded with this whole allergy thing.

Great job Kris and Diana! Great losses! :yay:

I am down .4 today to 239.8. I had a REALLY salty lunch yesterday so I was happy to see any loss at all. I was drinking water like a FIEND yesterday to try and offset all that salt!!!

Feeling great today. It's a beautiful, yet blustery fall day here today. I'll check back later on.

 Thanks Diana, that gave me a chuckle !! Wine is allowed for me in the evenings, just not in the bucketloads I had on my girls night :)
Down 0.7 to the round 224, was actually hoping for more, but was very lazy yesterday as I had a **** week at work, and I really needed to recharge. Did not go out last night becuase DH has a toothache - he's really miserable because he has an allergy to pain killers, so we all have to suffer (tee, hee).
Can't believe how fast this month is going, we'll need to start the November challenge soon :)
Have a happy sunday x

Holding steady at 239.Didn't exercise this morning.. While doing my intervals yesterday,I made a promise to the Lord that if he let me see 239 on the scale(when i got back home),I'd use today for what it really is,A day of rest/Worship.. cause I have a hard time finding/ taking a day off from exercising.I wrestled with the thought all day yesterday and last night to just go anyway but i didn't. I'll hit it hard tomorrow for sure.Who'd a thought I'd be anxious to go Jog. :)

Good Morning, All!

I had a slight gain from my drop of yesterday. That happens sometimes for me. I think I could have avoided this if: I didn't eat at 9 PM, went to bed at 1:30 AM, and woke up at 7:30 AM. I ate too late, went to bed too late, and woke up too early.

Calories for yesterday: 1490 + Morning Joe

17: 211.8 (whooooossssshhhhhh)

I lost track of how many times I stepped back on the scale after seeing this number. I even changed the batteries. Took a picture of it. It's real :). I was a little sick to my stomach yesterday and didn't have much for dinner (a slice of cheese and a slice of roast beef) so my calories were only at 1000 yesterday, so I'm sure this will bounce back some, but that's okay. I am claiming it. I also only had about 50 grams of carbohydrates yesterday. Gonna try to stay lower again today. I'll be tested tonight though - I'm cooking fried catfish and fried potatoes for my mom. She's been craving them and can't cook for herself. I cook for her frequently but usually it's something healthy because she's on a very restricted diet - every once-in-a-while she gets a treat (afterall she's 80, I think she deserves that sometimes)

And that's the truth. You guys really do make me smile. :) I want to report that I have had an amazing weekend and stuck to my plan! More importantly, I PLANNED all of my meals this weekend, even if it was on the fly. I consciously thought things out and didn't just react. Really proud of me! Self High Five!!! :high:

Pam: Hi  We're glad you're here. :)

Ona: :congrats: on the NSV!!!! That must've put some pep in your step going down those stairs!!! I am so with you on that water! My bottle is next to me right now because I am still choking down more. UGH!!!! I admit though, that is 1 of the few places that I have aspertame. I just cant give up my sugar free kool aid from walmart. So yum. Thanks for not forgetting me on the FAB 5!! We will get to those 220s girls!!! WE WILL DO IT!! I'd love a name....let's think about that.

Cutie: Glad you're able to come back. I'm still so pumped for you about C25K! Great job!

Jennie: Still holding in the 150s! Good for you! I feel a whoosh coming on for you once your muscles let go of some of that water. :crossed: :goodvibes:

Star: Great job!!

Ma: Welcome back

Eclipse: WTG on reaching the 100lb mark. I can only hope to imagine what that feels like. You've worked so hard. You deserve to reward yourself!! Very inspirational!

OnaMi What a wonderful NSV! That must have felt awesome! You're right though, we do NEED a name for the five of us battling the 230's right now. I have no idea what though. My husbands on the couch snoring like a drunken water buffalo and it's drowning out all my thoughts! Maybe the Flab-u-less Five?

Ona - thanks!! :D Can't wait for tomorrow's WI! Hope you enjoyed your day of rest, I am 100% jealous! Great NSV!

Diana - those are all bad things for a WI for me too, hopefully you get to bed earlier tonight!

Kris -WOWSERS lady!! That's quite the whoosh! You are definitely deserving!

eclipse - Congrats on 100 pounds down!! :congrat:

The crazy changes at work a pretty much done, I am SO relieved, and SO tired, I will enjoy my Tuesday and Wednesday off! I plan to sleep in :) The bf is talking about exercising and eating like me, he wants to lose some weight - he's so funny, he'll get into the idea for like a month, and then he's done. But maybe the exercise might stick, might be fun to go to the gym together! As for my WI? Not the best weekend for me. Hubby had a hockey game Friday night and ended up eating pizza there. I usually don't have such a problem with pizza, it's the love of my life (besides hubby of course) so I usually plan for it, but I hadn't on Friday. And then Saturday we went to a party at a banquet hall, food was heavy but I tried to stay portioned. Also happened to be my brother's bday on Friday and my dad's on Saturday, and oh look, mine tomorrow! So lots of cake. Overall, not a great eating weekend. But I've got my gym bag in the car and I don't have to play chaffeur tonight so off to the gym I will go.

The bf is talking about exercising and eating like me, he wants to lose some weight - he's so funny, he'll get into the idea for like a month, and then he's done. But maybe the exercise might stick, might be fun to go to the gym together!

Okay, I leave fro Vegas Friday night! I would like to be 235lbs by then! I hope I can make it because hopefully then the bloat from drinking won't take me back into the 240's.

My plan for that weekend is not to necessarily be ON PLAN, but to take a small note pad and still write down everything I consume, try and make healthy choices, drink my water, and stop eating when I am full. Hopefully, that will allow me to a little fun without doing too much damage.

Morning All! :grouphug:

I am down .6 to 238.8. I am proud of consistent losses despite it being the weekend. I have never had that happen, so yay me! :yay:

Star: That is a great plan for your eating! Enjoy your trip!!! I've always wanted to go to Vegas.

Kukkie: Don't sweat the weekend. You've got that bag in the car. You'll fight back at the gym today! :D

Kristi: Don't worry about that .8. It's just your body rebounding a little. It'll come right back off again.

:welcome2: Anna!!

Diana: Great loss today! Congrats on the low!

Aimee: Sounds like you've got a great bf there! I think that's great that he'd like to go to the gym with you. I would love to find a guy that would do that with me!

I'll check back later. Have a wonderful morning! :)

I was SOOO bad this weekend... It was my husband's birthday so I had horrible food on Saturday and Sunday and this morning I was almost back up to the weight I lost in the beginning of the month! ;_;

I know it will go down after a few days but ugh... It always sucks when a weekend of partying ruins 6 weeks of hard work. ><

Diana - 188! You are getting so close to your next goal!

fitkristi - you'll be back in the 230's in no time! The scale is funny, just like to throw a curve ball!

Kukkie - this is how I'm feeling about the gap I've in now! I keep hovering around 260/258, I am DONE with it! Gotta dig deep and keep going! The bf weighed himself today, he gained 3.7 pounds in the last 4 months. He wants to do south beach because it felt easy-ish for him, he hates the idea of counting calories, so this should be interesting!

Vixsin - He's a pretty awesome guy :) We work such different schedules so we'll have to figure out if the gym would work for us. Congrats on your .6!

Kris - a tiny bounce back, but still no where near THAT number! :carrot:

 to everyone!!

As for me? Down .9 this morning to 257.5, not quite the 256 I wanted to see, darn that elusive number, but I also ate a heavy dinner last night and was SO swollen this morning. Maybe tomorrow :)

Hey girls - I'd like your opinion on something.

I'm contemplating switching gyms. I'm currently a member of Goodlife and I tend to go to the location that is about 15 minutes from my office, except that lately I've been working from home a lot. Added to which, I tend to have to coordinate my schedule around hubby's work schedule and whether he needs a ride or not. I just looked into the gym at the community centre close to our house. It's basically a 5 minute walk to the house, which makes me think I'd be more likely to go because I wouldn't have to worry about needing the car to get there or battling traffic either. I haven't seen the actual gym in the community centre - I think I'm going to go look at it this evening - but the actual community centre is pretty nice, not dingy by any means, the pool is pretty big. Heck, it has an entire hall devoted to bocce, seriously?! And it opens pretty early too so I could go in the morning and still shower and get ready in the comfort of home. I think I'm rambling now... What do you ladies think?

13: 203 - Ran @ 4.2 for 20 minutes.
14: 203 - Weights upper body
15: 204 - 60 min @3.0 - I was "treadmill dancing" if there is such a thing?!
16: 203 - No exercise
17: 202 - 60 min @ 3.0 - More "treadmill dancing"! woot, woot!
18: 201 - 30 min Wii Just Dance 2 - OMG...SO FUN!

Hi everybody! Well, I am almost back to where I started at the beginning of the month! Gosh, how I wish Fall Break wouldn't have set me back so much! I would be in the 190's this week! :)

On the 20th I will be taking my measurements and hopefully, I will see some loss from the exercise! I am aiming for Onederland that day...I really hope it happens for me! I am being extra special good! :)

Yesterday I bought the Just Dance 2 game for Wii! Oh my gosh! Me and the kids had so much fun! We only have 3 controllers, but I just danced with them and I worked up a sweat! If you have Wii, it is a fun game to have! That might be my go-to work out on the weekends!

Tonight is cardio and weights. I haven't decided whether I should do my interval training or do the dancing thing on the treadmill again. I love to dance!! Can you tell??

You all have had some amazing results! I wish work could slow down a little so I could have time to comment on every post! I miss you guys!

Have a great rest of the day/evening! Stay OP and get some exercise in too! :)

Hi Everyone!

Aimee Great job on the .9! That's great!

Vixsin Great job on your .6!

SCraver Great job on your .2.

Kukkie Did you go by the community centre to take a look? I think I would join the gym that's most convenient and I am most likely to go to.

Eclipse Great job on the .2. Do you count calories? If you don't mind sharing, how many calories do you eat?

Lnoelparis You will be in Onederland soon.

Jennie Great job on being so consistent! That's the way to get it done.

IM BACK!!
Vancouver is beautiful, I was so close to not getting on that plane and just sending Jack there with his grandma.
I made it half way up the Grouse Grind, had to come back down and why . . . not because I was exhausted or my legs hurt . . my freaking ears wouldn't pop!! How lame is that? At least I went with Coast Gaurd Search and Rescue ans was able to come back down. I will conquer that maountain damn it! Lots of walking, a 15km hike to a waterfall, lots more walking, good food, LOTS of booze (Shaun and I tend to get into shananigans like that, its been 2 years since we've had more than 1 night to spend together)
All in all, the gain Im sure is water retention from not drinking nearly enough while traveling yesterday, not giving my legs a rest (They are still effin sore) so no gym today for me.

I still can't get over that city . . . . we'll be moving next spring :)

I'll try my best to catch up on personals, looks like things are going well for everyone, so great to see.

Missed you guys!!

I think my scale is broken... It kept hobbling between 197.7 and 198.8 today. But I was good with my calories yesterday and really good with my water, so I'm not sure what happened. But it's my birthday, so I'm going to ignore it, and I'm going to make sure I drink plenty of water, because tonight I'm going to enjoy the cake that I've been getting every year since I was 15! Triple Chocolate Fudge - it's sinful. Except this year, I'll have a small slice.

Diana I didn't get to the community centre last night, but I did check out the other one that's walking distance to the house, albeit a little further (maybe 12 minute walk) but I'm not sure how much I like it. Hubby doesn't get off work until 9 tonight, so I have some time to check it out before he gets home.

Coon Welcome back! Glad to hear you had such a great time. And don't you worry about that mountain, you will conquer it. Just think, the next time you go, you'll be in even better shape and then you'll show the mountain what's what!

Lnoelparis ~ I'm sure you'll see onderland soon. I didn't know they came out with the Just Dance 2. I started my weightloss journey back in February with the Just Dance game - love it.

Starbrite ~ 2teens will be here before you know it. :)

Jennie ~ hope you are feeling better today.

Cincimini ~ I'm sure your gain is probably water weight and will be gone in no time.

Aimee ~ I'm not disappointed with my .8 bounce back. Now I'm sure the 212 number will probably hang on for a while :(. Congrats on you .9. Come on 256! :)

Eclipse & Diana ~ you two are so consistent . . . you're both doing amazing!

Vixsin ~ Congrats on your 1.4. I hope your lower number shows up for you tomorrow.

Kukkie ~ Happy Birthday!!!! Enjoy it! The cake sounds amazing.

Kristi ~ Isn't cleaning out the closet fun? I did that a while back. Have fun shopping and congrats on your 1.3.

Star ~ So you're full of it huh? I think we've all had our share of issues with that. :)

Anna ~ Woo hoo! Keep up the good work.

Coon ~ Welcome back. I'm sure you 1.6 will be gone soon - probably just water retention.

Ona ~ Congrats on the 1 lb. Glad you are feeling better.

Madame ~ Awesome job!

Cutie ~ Congrats on completing week one of C25K - that's probably part of your gain (sore muscles like water).

I think I'm finally going to make it to the bra store tomorrow to buy myself my 100 lb reward bra. I got expensive, fancy bras about 65 lbs ago, and they aren't fitting so hot any more  (I wonder why?)

Kukkie - I'd definitely look at the gym! With it being that close how could you go wrong! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :D

eclipse - Yes! It IS time for your 100 pound reward! And yeah, I wonder why that bra isn't fitting so great ;) I have to admit I caved, I planned on saving my bra that I bought as a reward for hitting 249, but I got desperate when my old bra kind of died.

Lnoel - I'm sure at this pace you'll be under 200 by the end of the month! :D

Jennie - you are having a pretty darn good month! 6 pounds! So far!

SunshineTater - it may be TMI, but we've alllll been there! Not much worse than not being able to go!

Diana - next month is your one year anniversary with 3FC's! You've had amazing results in the last year - 104 pounds!

Ona - Congrats on your pound down :D You are rocking these days! Glad you are feeling better!

anna - welcome and congrats on that pound :)

fitkristi - Congrats on being back in the 230's! Have fun shopping :)

CutieCourt - Congrats on finishing week 1 on C25K! Are you sore? You could be retaining water which could explain the little gain.

MadameZombie - Nice whoosh!! :carrot:

Coondocks - welcome back!! I definitely missed you! Josh also came home and wanted to pack up and move back! Sorry to hear about your darn ear, there is apparently a beautiful view from the top of the grind, and the gondola ride down is supposed to be amazing! We still have 1.5 years left in Winnipeg on our contract, but I can't wait to go back. Mostly because I hate my job here :) I doubt the weight will stay, don't worry about it!

StarGetsFit - sending you  vibes!

Vixsin - congrats on your loss!

Shylah - welcome back! What were you in Chicago for?

Kris - 212 is better than 215! For what it's worth I think it's pretty amazing that you've stayed on plan and kept losing even when you are sick. When I'm sick the first thing to go is my diet plan. I'm very excited, hoping to see 256 this morning! Fingers crossed!

cincimini - Nice whoosh :)

I will be back in a bit with my weigh in!

Aimee - I go to Chicago once a month to visit family. My parents live there and need their grandson fix. We also had his 2nd birthday party this weekend. It's a ton of fun.

So swamped today. ugh!

Alright scale - I AM MAD AT YOU! It teased me with 256, and now it's being elusive! Down .2 this morning. 257.3. Come onnnn tomorrow!!

10: 203 -No work out - fall break
11: 206 -WTH??? Actually I shouldn't say that....I made poor choices and no exercise for a week!
12: 205- Ran @ 4.2 for 15 minutes straight! TWICE! woo hoo! I made a little over 2 miles yesterday! And lifted for upper body!
13: 203 - Ran @ 4.2 for 20 minutes.

18: 201 - 30 min Wii Just Dance 2 - OMG...SO FUN!
19: 200 - I jogged 67 minutes straight at a 3.2 pace! That is just mind boggling to me!

Good morning ladies! So last night I started out with the intention of dancing on the treadmill, but this song came on that was so rockin' that I started to jog. I sped up the treadmill from 3.0 to 3.2 and sang and jogged my little heart out.

Soon the song was over and another incredible song came on...well, 5 minutes turned into 10 and then into 20. Once I hit the 30 min mark (my last achievement) I didn't want to stop! I aimed for 45 and then started getting a little tired. But I kept telling myself - five more minutes and kept listening to some excellent songs...I ended up going 67 minutes! That was 3.59 miles without stopping! I am so proud to be able to do this, I felt like WONDER WOMAN afterwards. Thanks for letting me share this here!

Kukkie - :bday2you: I hope your birthday is FANTASTIC! Enjoy your cake! :) I hope you get a chance to check out the community center gym and choose the one that makes the most sense. I vote for the closer one, but it depends on how it looks!

Vixsin - Woo hoo! Pooping away the pounds! LOL! I wish I could poop out a pound and get to Onederland today! hahaaha!:o

Diana- Thanks for the encouragement and CONGRATS on your .2 loss!

Ona- Hey sweetie, glad you are feeling better today! AWESOME JOB on your 1 lb loss! :carrot: So do I have to now gain to join you guys' club? I feel so left out! :stress:

Anna- WAY TO GO on your drop!

Kristi- I need to throw away all my old fat clothes too! I am sure I could make a lot of room! Have fun shopping, sounds like so much fun! Be sure to fill us in on the deets of your shopping trip! Congrats on your 1.3 lb loss! :)

CutieCourt- Keep up the C25K! You will be amazed how much endurance you can build up! I couldn't EVER run for 5 minutes straight and last night I did 67 minutes!

Zombie- WHOA! 4 lbs??? COOL! I love surprise WHOOSHES!

Coondocks- Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time! I have always wanted to visit Vancouver. It looks so beautiful and I am a little jealous you will get to move there! :) I am sure you will get rid of that pesky pound in no time!

Starfit- Hehehe...Hope you poop soon lady! :) Do you take anything? Benefiber, etc? I think we talked about this before, but there are a few things I take that help get things moving along - Senna tea and magnesium citrate are two that were discussed here before. They will clean you out for sure and get you back on track!:D

eclipse- Congrats on your 100 lb goal! Whatcha gonna do with your old fancy bras? If my boobies shrink anymore, I will get new boobies - AND new bras! hahahahaah :D

Aimee- Hi sweetie! Thanks for the encouragement! I thought it would be today, but I am still holding out for tomorrow! C'mon Onederland! Either way, I still will take measurements. I should take pics too!

cincimini- 2.5 is SUPER! Keep up whatever you are doing! Congrats!:carrot:

MamaP- How did your Mom's dinner turn out? What you had planned sounded delish! :) I have never done the Just Dance 1, but I heard there are a few more things they added to the Just Dance 2. I wish they had more and more songs though! I love that game, you dont even know you are exercising! I beat my kiddos- they say I am the Disco Queen! hehehe!

Shyla- HIYA welcome back!

My mom's dinner was good. She was in heaven. I made catfish and fried potatoes cooked with onion and bell pepper and then I made roasted cauliflower. I didn't eat any of the potatoes, which was difficult. I love them cooked with onion and bell pepper (my son-in-law says I make the best fried potatoes ever). She's not supposed to have potatoes (too much potasium), so it was a nice rare treat for her. I made enough so she could have leftovers of the fish and the potatoes the next day.

You are right about not realizing you are exercising with the Just Dance . . . the Just Dance game is the reason my signature says "Dancing away the pounds"

Aimee - I don't blame Josh or you for wanting to move back, I was dumbfounded half the time I was there. We did end up taking the gondola up - it was breathtaking, I actually breathed in clouds. I feel like I had stepped into heaven and can't wait to move there. You'll see that 256 tomorrow for sure, keep on going!!

Noel - What a fantastic Jog, I'm jealous, i can't jog to save mylife . . . . I'll get there eventually though :) Keep it up :cp:

I think I am gonna cry...

I am a computer tech and normally I am at my own school all the time. However, we have a tech out on leave and I will be filling in every two weeks on Tuesdays at his school. I dont mind, I have been here before and everyone is really nice and they remember me. :)

Anyhoo..I needed to use the potty and they have a medical grade scale in there. So...what did I do? I took off all my clothes (private bathroom) and jumped on the scale! I couldn't resist! hehehehe....

I started out on 200 and moved the weight back and back and back to 0 and the scale still showed in the up position! So I moved the weight to the 150 position! YAY! And I had to take a pic to share with you all because you girls always are encouraging me in my exercise and keep me so accountable! I hope you all dont mind! :)

I keep staring at the picture...I am so happy! That is 198.4, isnt it? Should I claim it? :)

BUT, I'm feeling really good about it. I've been complaining about the scale not moving, but I know I haven't been doing all that I should or can. I've been staying within my calorie range...but always on the high end. So, quit the whining and get moving. Lnoel - I take pictures and do measurements, have been for like 10 years, it interesting to look back on them! I'd totally claim it, but only if you are going to weigh yourself on that scale in the future.

Coondocks - It's hard being in Winnipeg sometimes! I miss my friends SO much, and am hesitant to make friends because I know I'll be moving, it's tough. And when I have a mini breakdown - which I did on the weekend I honestly had no one, it was terrible! How was the weather in Vancouver? Did you go to Purdy's? What restaurants did you go to? Pubs? heh..

Ona - I am so impatient aren't I? it's hard not to be sometimes! I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to go shopping! I have SO much clothes, a couple boxes of clothes that are too small, but I get rid of the stuff thats too big right away!

 to everyone!

I had a super lazy day, got up at 9 am with a headache, went back to sleep until 11am, did a little cooking, tiny bit of cleaning and was back in bed by 3pm for a nap until 5:15! Josh and I went grocery shopping, which is good because I'm running out of veggies! Fingers crossed for that elusive 256!

Ona: Congrats on the 1 pound down!!

Aimee: THat small bounce is nothing, you are doing awesome in the 250's!!

As for me, down 2.1 from yesterday. Being home and not traveling has definitely rejuvenated me and I'm now able to get my 3-4 mile runs in every evening and stick to my eating plan. Amazing :)

I've been having a rough week, and am trying to get to grips with the length of the road I'm on. Thanks girls for all the birthday wishes. You're the best!

I'm up 197.1 today - I guess the scale wasn't wrong yesterday... I just don't get it, everytime I'm almost out of the 90s, I slowly bounce right back up. I'm not sabotaging myself in any way, so what's the deal? Anyway, I'm working from home today, so probably on my lunch break or something I will take a walk over to the community centre to check out their gym. I already got the pricing, it's cheaper than what I currently pay but it's more than the other gym that's walking distance. Hubby thinks they're both the same distance and that I should go for the cheaper one, but I told him to me it seems farther away (and it's not very bright in there) so I want the closer one. I just need to go actually see what they have to make sure it will be worthwhile to me.

aKelly you're right, but I'm not ready for maintenance yet! I need to get out of the bloody 90s, I've been stuck in here for 3 months. :(

10-20-2010, 08:46 AM
I'm with you Kukkie. We're definitely doing something we don't realize. I'm at 264.1 today.

7 lb swing from last week. I had some pizza this weekend and a hot dog. But not 25000 calories for this. I didn't go over 2k. Maybe I'm just not counting right. I hope some is from my TOM due on Friday. UGH.

Kukkie84
10-20-2010, 08:53 AM
Diana I'm loosely counting, if that makes sense. But I haven't had a decent set of workouts, and now that I think about it, I didn't really adjust my calories for that. All the more reason why I need to get this closer to home gym thing happening. I absolutely hate battling traffic to get a workout in and I've never been a work out at home type of person, I need the atmosphere. And yes, still smoke-free 1 month and 2 days, although last night I was so stressed out (on my birthday) that I wanted to do it out of spite, but then realized how stupid that sounded.

Diana3271
10-20-2010, 09:07 AM
Kukkie Great job with staying strong against the urge to smoke. That must be tough. Maybe the scale situation is exactly what you just mentioned. You haven't been to the gym and you haven't adjusted your calories accordingly. Until you figure out the gym situation, maybe go a little lower on your calories.

I am loving seeing my body rebound so nicely as the stress is coming back to managable levels.

No time for personals right now. Much work to do. I'll check in at lunch! :) Hope everyone is doing great!!!

In the old days a McDonald's Double Cheeseburger always cleaned me out , but I'm trying not to go that route. Looks like it's tea time tonight. I'm starting to get uncomfortable! I mean, my eyes are even turning brown . . .oh, wait, they already are brown.:dizzy:

Morning! Weighed a little more today but I worked out my legs on Monday (dealing with some DOMS today!! OUCH!) and back yesterday and I just drank so much tea! I'm exhausted and in paaaain.

still at 177 this morning, no change at all.
Drank plenty of water yesterday, rested my oh so sore legs so I thought i'd see at least some change, but sadly no.
My legs are still a bit sore though, I must have really done a number on them this weekend, one more day of rest I think is best and hopefully Ill see that number drop tomorrow.

BBL for personals :) :) :)

starbrite - you are doing great and you WILL get to the end of this

Diana - wow! Congrats on the insane workout. Cracking up at the "fanny lifter"

fitkristi - good job!

Kukkie - congrats on the 1 month 2 days of no smoking! And I'm sure once you figure out your gym situation, you will be back to losing those pounds.

Good job Vixsin on the 1.2!

Everyone else - congrats on the losses and staying OP! :carrot:

I'm at 265 this morning - down 1.5 from yesterday. I'm SO ready for the lower half of the 60s. Staying OP is fairly easy here. The fridge is full of fruit and veggies, there are no sweets or bread in the house and only caffeine free sodas - which I won't waste my time on . Just gotta stay away from the stores and restaurants and I'll be okay. I think I'll check out the Wii fit this afternoon!

01: 200 - Yay! Still holding! No work out last night.
02: 200 - Ran @4.0 for 30:43 minutes straight!
03: 201 - No exercise
04: 200 - Yardwork
05: 202 -Treadmill walk/run 31 minutes
06: 200 -Walked at the zoo about 3 miles slow pace. 30 minutes of pedal boats on the lagoon!

08: 200 -No work out - fall break
09: 200 -No work out - fall break
10: 203 -No work out - fall break
11: 206 -WTH??? Actually I shouldn't say that....I made poor choices and no exercise for a week!
12: 205- Ran @ 4.2 for 15 minutes straight! TWICE! woo hoo! I made a little over 2 miles yesterday! And lifted for upper body!
13: 203 - Ran @ 4.2 for 20 minutes.
19: 200 - I jogged 67 minutes straight at a 3.2 pace! That is just mind boggling to me!
20: 198.2 - 73 min jog/run intervals on treadmill with hand weights

Good morning everybody! I woke up happy, smiling and eager to see what my own scale said this morning! I was very happy to see 198.2! I need 8 more pounds to my half way mark of 100 lbs! I am even more committed and so focused on getting rid of this extra weight! I am tired of my Wii telling me "Uh-OH! That's OBESE!" when i weigh in on it to play my games. :)

My anniversary is in March, I wanna look SEXY! And my 40th birthday is in May, I want to start my 40's fit and healthy! I really hope to be very close to my goal weight by then!

Good luck today everybody with staying on plan and making good choices for yourselves! Let's all try to get some movement in today, even if it's at our desks (leg lifts) or a quick power walk around the building! :)

Oh, yeah, I am going to take measurements today. I will be back for personals and post the differences in measurements later!

down .8 to 184.6.

Is there anyone else here who actually looses faster when they're on their period? It wasn't the case for me, but the last couple of months I've stalled a bit in the week or two before my period and then lost rapidly during it. I'm on something like day 12 of bleeding - it's really pissing me off, but my weight is still dropping, so I don't want to complain too much . I guess it makes it worth it.

Hello Everyone, LOL I'm on page 9.

I'm here for today that is. Family, work and life are fun for me right now. I have a ton of reading to do to catch up and I'm pooped so don't know how much I'll get done. In the mean time I hope everyone is doing well. My weight loss has kind of stopped I am still back and forth between 166 and 168, I'm gonna change my ticker to 168 and hopefully once I get alittle more adjusted to my new schedule I'll start losing again.

Kris Great job!

Madame Drink plenty of water and stretch. That seems to help me with DOMS.

Lnoelparis Look at you! Welcome to Onederland! :carrot:

Eclipse It's probabaly from the weightloss and excess estrogen. I have had really crazy periods since starting this weight loss journey. My gyno said that estrogen is stored in your fat. When you lose weight, you have excess estrogen floating around. It takes time for your hormones to regulate from this.

Love Hi  good to see you check in.

Help me analyze!!

Here is my October so far. I do Sunday - Saturday weeks, so starting with the 3rd. I don't eat a lot of bread, though my carbs look high. I do usually have bread with breakfast or lunch though each day, in the form of a bagel thin or sandwich thin. Rest comes from fruit. I don't do frozen meals like Lean Cuisines. I make my food 95% of the time. I do have to eat out, there is no getting around it, at least 1x a week. It tends to be a salad or soup.

I've actually called my doctor. I know my sodium is higher than it should be. I'm sure some has to do with my TOM due on Friday too. This is just defeating. I have a scale and measuring cups / spoons I keep at work. I drink 96-120 oz a day. Such a swing is crazy.

I'm totally going to go through and see what my problem is with sodium. Eating salads 3/5 days for lunch, but it may be the lunch meat I'm using.

I've actually took a break from working out 6 days a week this month to really focus on my food and make sure it's in check. I still walk / jog 3 times a week.

akelly - Glad to hear you are feeling more energized about weight loss! :D

starbrite - great loss! I hear you - and I have further to go, but if I think big picture for too long I freak out and quit everything completely. Day to day, week to week seems to work better for me.

Ona - You are hard to please ;) You pace has been amazing lately, sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great though. Give yourself some credit, you are staying 100% on plan while not feeling great, that is the first thing to go for me!

Diana - WOW! That is some crazy workout lady!

Kukkie - 80% of weight loss is diet, so that's where I keep the majority of my focus. Maybe it's time to count the calories with more structure? You know your body best :) And I'm confident you'll get over this little bump!

Shylah - Are you counting calories as well? Where do you log them? Measuring things? I measure every single thing, even if I feel like I can eyeball it, I still measure, and I think I will have to always do this until I go into maintenance. Bummer, but so worth it.

Vixsin - you are have a great week! Congrats! :D

StarGetsFit - hope you get the movement soon!

Kris - nice job!!

Coondocks - you'll need to give your body a little more of a rest before you see the results, in the next couple of days I'm sure!!

cincimini - I was thinking of breaking out the wii fit this afternoon too, definitely a workout for sure! Congrats on your 1.5!!

Lnoel - SO happy that you got to see that number on your own scale - and might I say what a FABULOUS whoosh!!

eclipse - I am not one of those people who losing during TOM, but glad you are now!!

Rennie - We've missed you around here! How's the job going??

I was UP this morning, but TOM is trying to start. It shouldn't be, but it's trying anyways, yuck. 257.7 +0.4, not the 256 I wanted.. but gotta keep going! I am going to do my personal trainer workout, time to lose some inches perhaps. The bf's little exercise kick is rubbing off on me, hopefully it works in a positive way on the scale!

Shylah I have issues with sodium too, but we can only do so much about that. Your calories seem about right. I used this as a guide: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/1821967-post2.html I don't even know how much protein/carbs I eat, but I wonder if this is where the problem is. Your daily average of carbs is around 200. Just for me to get an idea, I looked up a few things. That's equivalent to 6 cups of rice or 4 bagels or 10 apples. I think that would be too many carbs for me to lose weight. I read an article recently about this. Of course I forgot where it was. :o But basically it said if you take in excess carbs, your body releases insulin to try to process the carbs/sugar. What it can't process, it automatically converts to fat.

Does anyone remember a recent article about this?

For those in this thread that don't follow the daily accountability thread - I have a dress update. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement you all give - some days that's all that keeps me going.

===========================================

I leave for North Carolina for the Marine Corps Ball in 15 days (ball in 17 days). I went in last night to pick up the wrap I bought and to try on my dress to see how it fits now. When I ordered my dress on September 1, I had to order the size 18 cause the 16 was way to tight (took two people to zip it up) and two weeks later when the 18 came in it was too big. Even though the 16 was still too small, I exchanged the 18 for the 16 at that time. Well . . . I now have to have the size 16 taken in. It's still tight through my stomach (not too tight though), but the top was gapping. They have to take it in almost an inch - I was thrilled. It will be ready next week. Here's a picture of me in the dress on September 1 (first picture) and then from last night. In the September 1 picture you can see how tight it is around the top (my fat pushing up). Now, no overflow around the top, no more back cleavage and the gathers lay across my stomach like they are supposed to (and no big belly button circle). My daughter made an appointment for us to get spray tans the day before the ball and we are getting our hair done the day of the ball.

Hi Diana Thanks  ... also thanks for shining a light on the carbs for me. That maybe my problem here lately also. I need to get more greens/veggies in. :)

Aimee, I typed you a book  I still haven't gotten any better in the typing category, LOL. The job is going well. I figure by the beginning of next month I should be close to getting use to it all.

Kris I can see a difference, I told you, you are melting ... Looking good

I need to figure out a new eating plan. I am still losing inches but no new numbers on the scale and since I don't get to eat during the day I eat lunch at like 2:30am which isn't bad really because I can't go to bed until after 12:30pm even though I get off at 7am. I've got to do something to get the scale to move again, this stall is driving me bonkers. Does anyone know of a shake/smoothie I can do that won't be grainy/thick and clumpy/lumpy. I have a texture issue, so the smoother the better :)

anna - great job!

Shylah - What about a sample day? Calories tell one story, maybe if we see exactly what you are eating? I know numbers barely mean anything to me, I track calories, but it's the type of calories I'm more concerned with for myself.

Kris - wow! What a huge difference!! Congrats :D

Rennie - I'm not super surprised that you are seeing a stall, working over night can cause that because it messes up everything you have been used to. You really gotta get the food thing worked out, I think that'll make the biggest difference. What about making a smoothie?

Ona - anytime :D TOM kinda threw me off a little.. well a LOT! Wasn't expecting it, we'll see what tomorrow brings! I am also my own worst critic!

Thanks for the input ladies. So hard to post a typical day lol I have the spreadsheet but can't really post it :p I do weigh my food. I even carry around measuring spoons in my purse. I have an app on my droid with FatSecret that I love. (It even scans barcodes!)

My week looks like this:

B:bagel thin, egg, lc wedge, banana OR plain oatmeal w/1tbs peanut butter
L:romaine, onion, tomato, 25g tortilla strips, 2tbs vinaigrette, 3oz carrot, 50g broccoli, 45g raspberries OR half pita, 1 can tuna, 1tbs miracle whip and jalapenos (w/ my carrots and broccoli)
S:apple w/1tbs peanut butter OR lc wedge w/thin crisps (12) OR yogurt w/25g grape nuts
D: 1/2 cup brown rice, 4oz chicken breast, 1 cup green beans w/1tsp margarine OR bagel thin w/ hamburger 1/2 oz cheese, 80g sweet potato OR 3oz whole wheat pasta, 1/4 cup Ragu, 2 cups romaine w/tomato onion and 2tbs vinaigrette.
S: hot chocolate OR skinny cow ice cream OR yogurt w/fruit

My dinners are my biggest meal, which is probably the worst. Once a week we do have pizza. Which means I get 2 slices of thin crust (or 1 of thick)and a salad.

I never realized one cup of brown rice has 587mg sodium. is that right? I mean, rice has sodium in it without me adding it?! LC cheese has 220 mg of sodium?! My sun dried tomato has 350mg :( Boar's head honey ham has 570mg. this is eye opening!!

ShylahEQ

Thanks Ona I have no choice but to keep pressing on. I have come to far to mess up or give up. :)

Aimee, I think I want to make something that would give me everything just not sure what. A girl I use to work with would drink cilantro, celery and some other stuff, she got her veggies in and slimmed down but it made her poop until her body got use to it. I don't want to go through that everyday. ;)

Shylah I like fatsecret also. I need to figure out how to do the scan thing. My niece does it with her blackberry. Thanks to Diana a few months back I started looking at the sodium content in foods. It is totally outrageous, who knew :?:

Rennie - what device do you use? I use a droid. When I go to enter food, I just choose the barcode scanning option. I didn't have to download anything separate or special.

Rennie - I used to drink something called a green smoothie and it had: 1 banana, 1 cup strawberries, 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, 2 cups spinach, and 1/4 cup of juice and water. It made me poop, but not until the next morning. I was VERY regular, and it was VERY filling! You could try something like that?

Aimee - did you use fresh spinach? like in the salad section? or frozen? I've always wondered that. I may have to try that too!

Shylah I have a blackberry, I know there is a scan option but my niece couldn't find it and I haven't gone to crackberry to find out how to upload it :?: But I will :D

Aimee, that sounds good minus the strawberries, I don't like those little seed things. I'm gonna write the ingredients down and give it a shot. What kind of juice did you use.

Cinci Thank you! Great job on your 1.5 down, that's fabulous.

Lnoel ONEDERLAND! :carrot: I love, love, love your constant enthusiasm. Thanks for the tip on Just Dance! I just might have to go look that up now. Can't wait to hear how you're measurements go.

Diana Thanks for that link. I'd never had of the fanny lifter before.

Eclipse look at you go... you'll be out of the 80s in no time! Though 12 days really doesn't sound like fun!

Vixsin thanks! Hubby's didn't quit. He's still in the talking about it phase. Although when I implemented the no smoking in the car rule, he started smoking less, because his habit has always been to light one as soon as he starts driving. So there's good in there somewhere.

Love  sounds like you are one busy bee! I use a protein powder made by Optimum Nutrition for my shakes. I have a texture issue too, especially with the strawberries, but I found these weren't so bad and they have vanilla ice cream and chocolate flavours! I think there was someone else on this thread who was using the same ones, maybe you can get a second opinion. I'm not a big smoothie fan, but you can also mix frozen fruits and yogurt with the protein powder if you want a smoothie.

Shylah I agree in that your sodium doesn't look so good. Hubs brought home some brown rice the other day that had outrageous sodium in it, I made him go return it.

Aimee I've never been great about strict calorie counting, but you're right, I know that the battle starts in the kitchen. But what I think I do need to do is start measuring my foods again the way I used to. I've been doing A LOT of eyeballing lately. Interesting recipe you posted, I'm such a picky eater, I have to ask - how did that taste?

Kris I agree with everyone! I know you were feeling down for a while there when you were stuck on 215, but gosh lady, just look you! The dress looks fabulous! Especially in the tummy area.

Anna Yippeeee, that's an awesome whoosh!

Ona Hey girl

Jennie have you been to a doctor? I hope you feel better soon!

So I have an update on my gym situation! I went and checked out the community centre gym and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's pretty big, bigger than the Anytime Fitness (the further walk) and brighter too! It's got HUGE windows to let in plenty of daylight, but it's on the second level of the building so it's not like random people can gawk at me while I'm struggling through my third set of squats. I think one of the best parts about it is that all the stuff is spaced out, it's not all crammed together, especially the cardio machines, you could totally fit a treadmill in between each treadmill there, so the sweat from the person beside you is not flying into your face (kind of a gross description, but I've seen it happen) They even have an indoor track with a sign that shows how many laps for 1 mile/kilometre just in case you don't want to jump on a machine. There are plenty of machines and even more free weights (I really hate it when I have to wait for someone whose using the same weight as I want to-call me selfish ) Oh, and I timed my walk there using the stopwatch on my blackberry, from my door to the door of the comm.ctr took me literally 5 mins 37 seconds. How can I go wrong with that? So I've already got all the forms filled out, just waiting for payday on Friday and I'll be there to sign up for my new membership! Yippeeee!

Jennie Do you bite and grind at night? I have TMJ and I bite and grind (bruxism) at night. My jaw was literally out of place. There was no help for me except for surgery. I had surgery about 15 years ago to put it back in place. I still wear mouth guards at night. I have a professional one that I wear on the top and a store bought sports mouth guard that I wear on the bottom. If you have TMJ, maybe you can look into getting a store bought mouth guard.

Wow- this thread exploded today!

Um, I'm going to try to do some personalsm but I might not get through all four pages. Yup, just gonna sit here with my senna tea.

Jennie Do you live near a large city? Most large cities have free clinics. I notice you're in Washington, if you're near Vancouver I know a free clinic about 30 min away on the Oregon side of the river.

Starbrite I know how you feel when you say you're in "awe" of the rest of your journey. I, personally, try not to think about it too much. I try to think in mini-goals. My next mini-goal is 10% of my body weight, which is just six more pounds. So, I just keep thinking to myself, "It's just six more pounds. Right now I just need to worry about those six more pounds." Rather than thinking about the other 84lbs I need to lose. I actually try to spend a few minutes a day trying to visualize lower numbers on the scale. It hasn't worked yet but I'm sure if I concentrate hard enough it will!

OnaMi Now, don't you go letting that virus steal your thunder!:nono: Maybe you are losing a bit faster cause you're sick, but if you were still eating like you did when you were gaining weight you'd just be gaining weight slower with your virus. Losing a little more weight than usual when you're sick might just indeed be sign that you've been sticking to your plan despite feeling like crap.

After all, you could be sitting on your couch feeling like crap and eating bon bons cause you're sick. But you're not. You're still rocking it out the best you can!:hug:

Diana Where does one buy a "fanny lifter"? It looks interesting and like it might save my ***, literally. One thing about being overweight is I finally have a bit on an ***. But it's already going away. I need to turn that fat into muscle before stuck with a pancake booty again.

FitKristi Great Job on the 1.2lbs!

Kukkie The new community center sounds awesome! I wish my gym were a five minute walk away!

Vixsin Awesome job on the 1.2lbs!

Coondocks Good to have you back! Glad you had a great time in Vancouver:)

cincimini Fabulous job on the 1.5lbs! Wish it were me!;)

Lnoelparis :congrat: on making it to onederland! I know you're going to look totally hot by your anniversary!

eclipse Down .8 is great! I also lose weight faster when that ******* TOM is about. I've also been bleeding for longer as well. The good thing about it so far, is that for the almost two months I've been doing this I've had normal length cycles. 30 days in between TOMS while before it was more like 40-45 and I would also skip periods. So, it would be nice if the weight loss would return me regular fertility cause gosh I'd like a baby . . . but not until I've lost at least another . . . oh . . 80lbs or so.

Love It's good to see you again.

MamaP You look totally awesome in that dress! I can really see a difference for the first pic to the second. You should be hella proud of yourself!

Diana3271 - Yes I do grind my teeth at night. All my life I'd pop my jaw when I'd yawn or open my mouth wide, the dentist didn't understand why that was at so young an age. I WAS fitted with a night guard before I left California but I had forgot it when I moved. I'm actually going to be in California in a week and a half, so I'm going to grab it if I can and take it back with me.

StarGetsFit - I live in a really really small town, but I'll look into it!

Yeah, before I started losing weight, I went 3 months sometimes with no period, and then when it came it was like I was going to bleed to death or something - and man, the cramps just immobilized me. I have an IUD now, though, so I don't know how much is weight loss and how much is the IUD. I think we're done having babies - I have thee between 9 and 5 years old, so my hands are pretty full! I hope you get your baby, though :D.

Def don't want to make it worst though:( my weigh in was booty too!! Glad this day will be over in 30 min:D

I had a non-scale victory and finished week 1 of my couch potato to 5k program!! I am not really sure what my scale is doing these days, I'm almost convinced it's broken. have a great day ladies

Happy to have lost 10lbs so far this month - I set an October goal of ten pounds so I'm definitely winning !
Had a very stressful and traumatic day yesterday. My 13 year old son (who happens to be 6ft 2 and built like a rugby player!) Fainted at school, fell off his stool and banged his head really badly. Spent the day in the emergency room while they did every test imaginable to see if he had epilepsy, brain tumour etc. An extremely worrying time and one which I won't forget in a while :dizzy:
It made me think though about many of the things that are important in life, and about myself and my journey. I had been in a bit of a funk about my weightloss journey. I now feel that whilst it is very important to have goals and to reach them, I don't have to be superwoman and achieve them ahead of time, or punish myself for not losing fast enough. I am going to get there, I am determined to do this once and for all, and I am going to take each day as it comes. The good with the bad and so on.
Thanks chicklets - this is the only place I feel I can really explain how I feel and to air all my anxieties.
Have a good day everyone x

Shylah - For me your diet has too many carbs, I can do 1-2 meals with carbs at most, but ideally just one. But I also don't do well with rice, pasta, breads, or even potatoes. I used fresh spinach in the smoothies, from the salad section, and usually the baby stuff too.

Rennie - that was just an example of how I used to make it, the recipe is this : 2 fruits, 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, 2 cups greens (you can used salad mix, kale, spinach, anything, I just preferred spinach because it's sweet), and I always used juice, but you can just use water too. I used Blueberry juice because I was also kicking my coffee habit and blueberry juice is supposed to have a similar effect. I'm curious what you'll think of it!

Kukkie - I would rather do anything but count calories, but I've tried South Beach, WW, and there isn't really any other plans out there that give you the freedom that counting calories does, so I do it. Not because I want to, because I have to. But it might give you that boost you need! The smoothie tastes interesting at first, I used sweet fruits so it was quite sweet for me, but it does such good things to your body that it makes it all worth it! The gym sounds fabulous!! :D

Thats all the time I have this morning.. will catch up later :) Have a fabulous day - I am off to work.

so here it is, October almost over and I'm still at my starting weight.
Up to 177.8 this morning . . . . what's the deal with that?? Ok my calves are still sore when I go on stairs or stretch them but come on . . . . I'm just getting frustrated now.
I think it's time to tweak a few things. I don't think I've been eating enough this week. I've eaten the right things, just not enough so i'll start with that.
I'm toying with the idea of C25K now . . . I saw so many people jogging in Vancouver and part of me was wishing i was one of those people, so I'll have to start from the bottom and work my way up.

Doesn't help Im effing annoyed at work, some one got 'let go' and I'm having to cover her position so my whole schedule is out of whack. Shananigans I tell you.

235.4 today. Down .8 :cheer2: :cheer2:

(I apologize if some of you belong to the same threads that I do but I wanted to put this out everywhere)

I also need to put something out to you guys that I have on my mind. Halloween. I love that holiday so very much. With that, I realized that Halloween is the holiday that I allow to ruin my eating every time. I go off the wagon and have a bunch of candy. Then you're eating/nibbling/exposed to candy for the next 2 weeks. By that time, you feel so crappy about eating all of that candy but then you realize that Thanksgiving is right around the corner too. And it just gets progressively worse from there until there I am again on New Year's Eve wondering what in the sweet chocolatey heck just happened.

I don't want that to happen this year. I put it out on facebook last night that I am not going to have 1 piece of candy this year. I want to be stronger than my "old behavior". Make no mistake about it, I am terrified. :yikes: I have never had a Halloween without candy. Never. Not one. But I don't want it to derail me. I do not trust myself around fun size pieces of candy.

I have a very clear goal in mind as far as a time frame to reach goal and go to maintenance mode and I want to power through my first Halloween with flying colors so that I am not bothered by the rest of them to come. Does this make any sense to you guys? Thank you for letting me get this out. I just needed to put it out to you guys so that it's real for me.

BBL at lunchtime for personals. :)

Vixsin - grats on the .8. I'm not a big candy person, but those reese peanut butter cups. omg. I told my husband he has to keep them OUT of the house.

Ona - Wow. some people. Don't let them hate on you! How low do you go? If you don't mind me asking.

StarGetsFit - Grats on the poop! ;)

MamaP - I didn't mention this before, but you can totally tell a good difference in those dresses. You are going to look fab!

Kukkie - don't get down. keep on keeping on. easier said than believed, i know.

Coondocks - stinks about work. i hope a good schedule gets worked out and you aren't overloaded. As for the weight, still have a week left in October. You must have done a real number on those legs!

Fitkristi - yay another loss. keep it up!

Sonshine - grats on your loss and welcome to the thread!

Kukkie don't give up! I had a day like that and then soon afterward a whoosh!

Vixsin, do you like dark chocolate? If so, I find that kids are more than willing to give it up because it's not sweet at all so maybe you can have a nice piece of something that is actually not so bad for you!

Down .2 today.

Considering adding yoga to my routine but I'm so busy... However I did it last night and I felt soooo good. I actually meditated for a little bit afterward. (I imagine this is easier if you are childless like me though...)

263.2 today, down 0.9.

Talked to my doctor while I was in for a flu shot. We went through my spreadsheet and looked at sodium and carb levels. She's not concerned about my sodium. I had bloodwork done last month and it was a bit low, plus my bp history is always a bit low. 100/64 normally. She said a 3000 level should be fine and not to worry too much. As for carbs, she said it wouldn't hurt to stay below 200 and see how I do. If need be go down to 175.

She also said she thinks 3 or 4 times a day is an acceptable peeing schedule, but every hour is not. She said 120 oz of water is way too much, but it's okay as long my urine isn't clear. She said it should have a yellow color to it. Which my urine doesn't a lot of the time.

So we had a good chat and I'm back on the wagon trying to see where I can cut things out to make it work. So we'll see! Just have to keep trying. There have been good changes. My A1C is down a ton, sugars, cholesterol all down!

Thanks Shylah and Madame - I'm just so entirely frustrated. But I realize I could be doing better than just sitting here and moping about it. I'm working from home today and don't really have anywhere to go later, so I'm going to cook me some healthy things for today and tomorrow. And then tomorrow I'm signing up for the new gym, so it's all good. I will get out of this funk. I may not make it out of the 90s by the end of the month, but at the end of the day you can only do your best. So I will. Thanks!

That's interesting that she said that. I've always been told by doctors that there shouldn't be much yellow to your pee unless you're taking a supplement. I'm under orders to go pee at minimum every 1.5-2 hours during the day:lol:. I have a bladder issue, though, so that's why - if my bladder gets too full, it gets difficult to empty. My urologist says that the 120 oz or so you're drinking is fine and healthy for "normal" people, but prefers me to keep it down around the minimum 8 cups, so i don't spend aaaaalllllll day on the toilet :dizzy:.

Sorry, just jumping in to post the WI - will be back later for personals.

I'm at 264.5 today, down 0.5 from yesterday. I'm now back at my low from last week, so hoping to see some new lows in the next days.
I also realized that the scale here only shows lbs in 0.5 increments, so now I'm annoyed that I might actually be at 264.3 .

ShylahEQ
10-21-2010, 11:18 AM
Eclipse - Doctor's all have their opinions. She just meant it shouldn't be totally clear. She said if I look in the toilet and can't tell I went, I am probably drinking too much and my body is not using it so I can back off. I was peeing every 45 minutes, so I think that's a bit much. But it got me more steps in my day ;)

Ona - I don't think there is anything wrong with not eating white bread, rice or saltines.. even when sick. You can have whole wheat bread, brown rice or even wheat saltines too! ;) When I'm down right SICK, I want Mrs. Grass Noodle Soup. It comes in a box and it's horrible for you with the sodium and white flour noodles, but it reminds me of when I was little and my mom used to make it.

Cinci - lol @ the scale. I was frustrated with that too. When my old scale died I was so happy because I got to buy one with .1 increments.

Eclipse,it's funny how that works huh..just laying down a little longer and lose another couple of oz.Amazing!!;)

Vixsin, congrats on the .8 :cp: you have your mind made up and you can conquer that candy demon.Kepp that good mindset and you will over come.:)

Ona- hope you get to feeling better soon! Maybe your body wants you to maintain until you aren't sick anymore, that way you can celebrate your 100 pounds lost feeling your best! I remember you mentioned the other day you didn't want to lose those last 4 pounds from the sickness, so maybe the bosy listened! LOL

Diana: Nice job! I remember in August/Sept when you were in the 200 range and battling the creams and everything to figure out why you were stalling. Look at you go now!!

Kukkie: Don't let the number get to you. Just focus on how well you have been doing and staying on plan. The new gym membership comes tomorrow!! :)

StarGetsFit: Congrats!! I have taken a laxative last night to help me purge the system..hope it happens soon! I have a feeling I'll go down another pound once it does!! Great numbers too!

Aimee: I agree with you about carbs--my body takes them and holds them too!

Everyone else:

As for me, down .6 today to 192.6 again. Realllly working hard to get into the 180's again. I've ran 10.5 miles since Monday, so I'm hoping the small losses are due to the water my muscles are holding.

Good morning everybody! I am holding steady! I didn't have time to post again yesterday, but I did take my measurements. What a difference losing 23 lbs makes! I will compare them to August's since that is the closest to where I began this time. Measurements are in inches.

I didn't have time to take pics, I will need to do that tonight. But I don't want to post them until I am done! I want a good before and after comparison to show! ;) Or maybe I will give a sneak peak in March!

I posted this in the Exercise equipment forum, but I wanted to share here too. I just saw someone on this yesterday and I flipped out! Anyone have one of these? I want one SOOOO BADLY! But they are like $2,000.00! Arrrgh the agony!

Hi Everyone!

Jennie I think the mouth guard should help you. Are you able to take ibuprofen? That also helps, although it's temporary. Maybe it will give you some relief until you get the mouth guard.

Sunshine Great job on the .2!

Starbrite Congrats on the 1.7. How is your Son today?

Fitkristi Great job on the .2! Take it and run!

Sonshin69 Awesome progress!

Coondocks Sorry about the crazy stuff at work. It can be very stressful.

Kris Great job on the .2!

Stargetsfit That's a lot of stuff! ;)

Ona Feeling better is the most important thing right now. That way you can get back on track with what you need to do.

Vixsin Congrats on the .8! We don't have any children so we don't buy candy for Halloween. We don't hand out any either. You have a goal, make a plan, and stay focused. That's the way to do it.

Madame Congrats on the .2. (there's something about .2 today. :D)

Shylah Great job on your .9! Great news about your test results.

Cincimini Great job on your .5!

Akelly Great job on your .6! I thought it was the progesterone cream, but I think it was because of the allergic reaction I had with my multivitamin. I eliminated some foods, too. The scary thing is that I will have to try those foods again sometime. :dizzy:

Lnoelparis Nothing wrong with holding steady right now. You had a good drop.

Kukkie I printed out the recipe, but I haven't made it, yet. Was it good?

I have to be honest, I planned 100% to cheat today, I was going to stuff my face with the worst foods I could find. I'm still struggling with the work situation, things get good and then they get really bad. BUT I stayed within my calories, I ended the day on the low end. My friend is going to fly out from Vancouver in a couple weeks to cheer me up, she's pretty worried. I actually thought about walking out on my job today, she talked me out of it :)

Jennie - my mom has this routine she does for migraines - 1 advil, and then 2 hours later a tylenol. That might help you too, the advil will take down swelling and the tylenol to kill the pain. Hope you feel better soon!

Coondocks - I'm here for at least another 20 months. It's really my work situation that's the problem, my boss flat out hates me. And she loves to make my life miserable, she actually plots this out!! I told the store manager some of my issues yesterday about it, not that it helps. The solution may be to ultimately quit, but in the mean time I gotta suck it up since I'm on a contract. Love the picture!! I really wanted to do the grind but no one would ever attempt it with me!

I'm going to WI this morning and just accept the number, it's TOM still, and I'm a little sore. BUT it's time to face the music!

258.8.. that's a 4.4 lb loss from yesterday. It will go back up tomorrow I'm sure. I peed a ton yesterday, so i figured at least i'd be down to 260. Boy was I bug eyed. ended up putting a towel on my head and my robe and reweighed, got 262.2. Got nakey again and back down to 258.8. Well, okay. lol

Aimee - having a bad work situation is THE worst. Life seems to be extra crappy when that is going on. I really hope it gets worked out better for you.

Diana - It seems like you have the under-100 numbers at your beck and call girl. lol keep rocking it down. I hope TTOM isn't showing it's face again so soon though.

176.6 YEAH BABY! Heading in the right direction now. Back to eating on my normal schedule for the most part, lots of fruits and veg - even attempting to eat hummus - never been much of a fan

Aimee - I know the feeling, I had a similar boss at the hotel I left, fortunately I had that option though. Kill her with kindness any chance you get - you're a strong person you know that :) When you're back in BC we're on for the grind ;)

Diana - Look at you go woman! Seriously, those 180's look good on you :carrot:

Ona - Holding steady is a great thing, so glad your feeling better :)

Shyla - Throw some of that my way, I want a 4 lb drop too!! Way to keep at it :D :D

Vix - Great goal for halloween! I've always been the weird kid for halloween - I don't actually like the candy :o

Kristi - Rock it out!!! You're doing so great! :cb:

Down into 177 today!!!! I might actually be able to loose 4lbs by the end of the month!

To everyone: I am leaving tonight for New York. My little brother is having his last football game and I need to be there. Our Dad died around this time last year so... It's going to be pretty emotional as he was a BIG football fan (his funeral flowers were in the shape of a football and my brother's ENTIRE team showed up to say goodbye). His death is what also spurred me into getting into shape... So this is a really hard month.

I am sort of emotional because this is the first time in my entire life that I stuck with a program for longer than two weeks and have actually seen the scale go down. A lot of it actually has to do with this thread and seeing everyone here be so supportive; I never want to let you guys down when I wake up in the morning and weigh myself!

I hope I don't gain too much over the weekend, I really want to see October through so I know I can do this...

So after 5pm today, I'll be signing off for the next two days and I'll be wishing I could post about getting closer to goal. Wish me luck and thank you guys for the support so far.

Oh TGIF indeed. It couldn't possibly have come soon enough!

I'm down 1.2 today to 196.9 but still up from my low AND from where I started the month. I made good choices yesterday though. And today was payday! Yippee! I'm working from home today too, which means I'm going to walk over to the community centre at lunch and get that membership. Although, I won't actually have time until tomorrow to make use of it. Hubby and I are going to pick up the new car we bought last week when I'm done work and then straight to his hockey game. But I'll be there in the morning! And I'm really excited :strong:

Diana Hubby said the recipe was just okay. "It has too much apple, and not enough crisp." But I mean what did you expect for a 90 calorie dessert. I don't know, I've never been an apple dessert fan so I didn't even try it.

Aimee Don't let work consume you. I know it sucks having a situation like that, but don't let it get you so down. I'm glad you're friend is coming out to visit.

Kristi congrats on making your mini goal! Sounds like you had an intense workout.

Anna good job!

Ona glad to hear you're feeling better.

Shylah hot damn! You made me laugh with the putting on the robe and the towel wrap

Coon glad to see you back in the right direction. Let me know how you do with the hummus. I make homemade hummus, my mom loves it and hubby uses it in his wraps, but I've never been a fan either.

Madame good for you for sticking to your goals, I'm sure your dad would be proud. And we're always here for you--that's the great thing about this group! :grouphug: have a safe trip and we'll look forward to having you back.

Zombie:  I'm sorry to hear about your dad. But he sure would be proud of you for how great you are doing! :) This group is pretty great. I don't think it's possible for you to disappoint us. We understand that this journey comes with it's share of bumps in all of the roads. :) Hope your trip is safe and you find time to smile while you're gone. See you when you're back. :)

Kris: :crossed: for that 210!!!! I know you're going to see it soon!!!

Coon - hooray for a loss. I can't stand plain hummus. I do love the spicy three pepper blend I find at the grocery store though.

Madame - *hugs* good luck this weekend. You are a good sister for being there for your brother! Great weigh in.

StarGetsFit - grats on the .6 down today.

Kukkie - I'm glad I made you laugh. TGIF for realz!

Ona - thanks, but i'm pretty sure it'll swing up a bit tomorrow. :)

Shylah spicy three pepper blend hummus????? Really?! I think you just inspired me to modify my recipe.

Vixsin I just bought a brand new Honda Accord, fully loaded (minus the Navi) in black with black leather seats! Hubby and I only got married last year and since we live in the basement of his parents house, this is technically our first major purchase together, so I'm pretty stoked.

Fitkristi Great job! Did you do the Turbo Kick at the gym or was it a video? I have a workout video that has 2 Turbo Kick workouts on 1 DVD. If you like Turbo Kick, you need to try Turbo Fire. I LOVE it! It's even more intense.

It was at the gym - I might like a video to get myself acclimated to the moves, because being in a room full of people kicking and punching and not knowing what to do kind of freaked me out! I was turning the wrong way and had a foot inches from my face!

My son is much better, thanks for all your good wishes. It was a very scary experience and makes you realis how lucky you are :)

BTW- They are EVERYWHERE! :D I am sorry your professional life is not where you want it to be. A boss that targets you is a NIGHTMARE! Soooo...hi! Did you notice I was gone? :) I had training for 3 days one week, then again this week, shortly following the free-for-all birthday/thanksgiving combo. It shows; I had to go weigh in officially today and I'm 9lbs higher than my last weigh in!

Time to reflect on what I can learn from this little foray into, well, whatever it was. One thing that's obvious, one little thing can so easily lead to another. I could have made better choices during training, I could have brought my own breakfast...and when going out for dinner I could have made better choices.

Hopefully I'll catch up with you all a bit over the weekend. I'm planning a weekend filled with outdoor exploring with my DS, and also so healthy cooking, lots of cleaning and laundry. That ought to set me back on track a bit.

Diana - I am experiencing a weird TOM too, must be something in the air!

fitkristi - congrats on hitting your goal!! :D

Ona - I am holding it together pretty darn good, sometimes at home I let myself get upset, but otherwise I hide it well, or I mask it with rage. And I do my best to hide everything from her except me being happy :) Thanks for the support, it's tough when I moved half way across the country for work and it's not a good experience. I am SO glad to hear you are feeling better!

Shylah - congrats on the whoosh! Let's stay in the 250's, no more 260's for us! And maybe soon we can get into the 240's! I think I need to accept that work isn't going to change, it hasn't for 16 months, and I doubt it will, she's been this way for 5 years why change because of me.

Coondocks - Thanks  I sometimes don't feel strong, and I know SO many people are rooting for me to win this little battle, so that helps. And I appreciate all the kind words! It's a date for the grind! There is another one called the Coquitlam Crunch, it's a decent one too, but not as far. Great WI!

Madame - Enjoy your time with your brother, I'm sure it'll mean the world to him that you are there!

Kukkie - it's hard not to let work consume me, my boyfriend also happens to be the store assistant manager, so I'm always coming home with it! Sometimes it helps MORE to have him around, he lets me know things I possibly shouldn't. YAY for a new car! What kind?? (oops! just saw what kind) VERY nice car, I am totally jealous!! I love my car, but man would I love to drive a different car every year,

Kris - I'm very happy you didn't get stuck at 212! :D

Vixsin - great job with planning! I'm taking a planning course next week with my work, so hopefully it'll steer me in the right direction! And yes, I will vent, I am good with that, Thanks for the support, it means the world to me right now!

starbrite - glad to hear your son is feeling better, sounds like a very stressful situation

Leah - your post made me laugh out loud, literally! The bf was a little surprised, and I read your post and he laughed too! Thanks for that!! It's funny too because the woman has the BIGGEST head of hair EVER, every single customer describes her as the girl with the hair  197!! Man you are moving quickly!!

MissKelly - thanks for the update - I was wondering about you!!

Angie - I noticed!! Glad to have you back, and don't worry about that weight toooo much, a couple days on plan and you'll get most of that off!

Alright, I am owning my weigh in this morning. 258.8, UP 1.5, yuck. Partly TOM, partly soreness, and partly time of day. I am very much counting calories, giving myself NO excuses to get off plan. I was trying to figure out how I did SO well last week.. welllllll, work was hard, I sweated a LOT, and the bf was out of town. I ate salads, cooked everything myself. Might be time to forget about including him on meals, or expecting him to cook for me. On a brighter note, I book an appointment to cut 6-7 inches off my hair, and colour it for Monday! :D

Morning all :dancer: (feels strange as I'm in Europe morning for me is like the middle of the night for the rest of you ! I have to wait the whole day to see how your'e all doing !! :D)
Down 0.4, hoping to break to the 2 teens next week! Yay, downhill to onederland all the way.
Bought two new tops yesterday both a 44 (I began at a 52, so down 5 dress sizes :) )
I find clothes a big motivator ! My best friend sent me a photo she had taken of me and another friend. I hated it - I just looked fat. I got quite the lecture when I said that, but it is sometimes difficult to get the right mental view after losing nearly 80 lbs, some days I still see 300lb Sam, not 220lb Sam. I know that has alot to do with the 65lbs still to go but I wish I could see it more, and understand my own body image more!
Ho hum, I think I need a break from thinking about it all, but know if I take my mind of this even for a day, I will be lost.
Have a happy day, I'm going to try on my thin jeans and see if I can get my mind back on track :)

starbrite - what time do you post at? It shows you posting at 2:06am in my local time! How were the thin jeans? I have heard of people losing weight but still seeing the image of themselves as a bigger person - sometimes it just takes a while for our mind to catch up!

I guess I am playing bouncy ball! I am down the 1.5 I was up yesterday, back down to 257.3. It just proves to me even further it's the type of calories I eat that matters, I had lots of veggies yesterday - so today I've planning for lots more! I am training today which will be a nice break from my boss :) Although I do have to ask her for some time off in November, fingers crossed I get it!

Just a quick check-in. I'm with MissKelly in being close to Onederland. I've bounced down to 201 a couple times and this morning was 200.8! I'm pretty excited! My other exciting news is my bloodwork this year was great. My TC:HDL was usually around 4, last year it had crossed into the danger zone at 4.8 (you want less than 4.5) - well this year it's a great 2.8! So it's not just the scale heading in the right direction!!!

I wish I could pop in daily but these days it just ain't happening.

Aimee, how much weight do you think you'll lose when you get all that hair cut off?

Starbrite - I had to lose over 70 pounds before it really started to show. We started about the same place so I bet pretty soon you'll really start seeing a difference in how you look.

I'm up 0.2 to 197.1 but I also went to bed around 3am so therefore weighed in a lot later than usual.

I signed up for the new gym last night, super excited and it goes into effect today. But I just hate the possibility that I may not get to go today because I have to catch up on so many things around the house, errands and such. That's the only part that kind of bites about the new gym is that on Sat/Sun they close at 6:30. Okay, I'm going to get my butt in gear (this was just a mini-break) and try and get everything done by 4 so I can go get in my workout. I do NOT want to start off the new membership with excuses!

Aimee -- Thanks for noticing! Yes, I hope it will come off quickly too, I lost a bunch this morning, so that's probably a bunch of water/sodium. I think it's great that you did a 'what went right' analysis to figure out what works for you.

Diana -- Congrats on being so close to your new goal!

Starbrite -- I love buying clothes in new sizes. For Christmas this year I asked for a few things in the next size down -- my motivation will be to fit into them by the time they are gifted to me. Hope you see onederland tomorrow!

Vladadog -- Can't wait to see you make the leap into onederland!

Ona -- Thank you for thinking of me and missing me! I'm getting my focus back, it's amazing how easy it is to go astray and how tough to get back on the right track.

Morning (9am for me but around 2 or 3am for you Swimgirl)Tried the "Thin" jeans on and they fit well !! Will by some goal jeans when I'm back in the UK:D
Frantic day yesterday - spent the whole day being Mums taxi and doing the chores I don't do during the week because work takes all my time.
I thought about what you said Vladadog, about taking aroun 70lbs to see the difference. I'm nearly up to 80lbs gone, and whilst I do see the difference, it's sometimes easier to see whats left to go. I am usually a very positive person, but there's just something mental about the way I view myself at the moment. Call it a hump or a process I have to get over:dizzy:
Angie - gosh me too ! I love the new sizes - it's so inspiring. Unfortunately I was hoping for the 2 teens, not quite to onederland yet,but I am aiming for that as a christmas gift to myself, and as I've lost 10lbs so far this month, I am hopeful:cool:
Have had a horrendous TOM - seems to be getting worse with the more I lose - perhaps I should get the old hormone levels checked ?
Down 0.7 to 220.2, looking for the twoteens tomorrow as the scale didn't oblige :^:
Have a visitation today from my 14 year old daughters boyfriend! He lives in the UK and visits occasionally. Makes me feel very old indeed !
Hope everyone has a great Sunday:hug:

Starbrite - Oh, sorry! I must have misread or mixed you up with someone else. I'm hoping to be in the low two teens for Christmas. I was reading someone's blog yesterday, and they took pictures and measurements at every 10lbs lost. I remember she mentioned that the measurements helped were the irrefutable proof she needed when she just couldn't see the difference herself. It also told her if it had been upper or lower body where she lost. I'm thinking of doing the same, I still have a long way to go too.

Morning everyone!

Up slightly.. again. +0.3 to 197.4 but TOM is showing signs of arrival.

I'm so bloody tired. We were supposed to go out last night to have dinner and drinks with a bunch of family of friends to celebrate our birthday. I tried to make reservations in the morning and was told they didn't take res. after 8 pm so just come earlier (we were going for 9, because that's when hubby finished work) so I got there around 8:30 just in case it was going to take time to put the tables together, only to find out that the entire place was rammed, I got laughed at when I asked how long the wait would be for 15 people because apparently they were showing the UFC fight last night but the idiot on the phone didn't bother to tell me that! So we ended up making a mad dash to the liquor store and to grab some pizzas, and everyone came back to our place, but the stragglers didn't leave until about 3:30 in the AM! Can you believe? And that too because I finally got up to start cleaning things up hoping they would get the hint! Oy vay. I am tired today.

Ona -- I wish I could claim the glory for losing 7.2, but I'm pretty convinced it's been water and sodium whooshing away after a week long stint off the wagon. I'm happy we are so close in stats, seeing you keep doing it at the same weight as me is going to keep me motivated.

Kukkie -- Eeek, surprise guests that never leave! I've spent a lot of this weekend cleaning and tidying and I still need to do more. Up .3 is not too shabby following a birthday celebration!

Jeri -- Congrats on your .8 loss!

Down to 244.4 this morning...woohoo! TOM started, meh! I usually lose right before TOM, then gain a little during. I worked my butt off yesterday (I wish!). I'm sore today, but feel good about it. Let's see what tomorrow brings!

Hope everyone's October is going great!

Hey ladies, a quick check in from me tonight! Things are tough around here these days with the work stuff still.. anyways! I was DOWN .9 this morning! HellllllooooOooooo 256.4!! Yay!! I barely ate today again though, stress, it's not doing great things to my body right now - sore stomach, nausea, it's not pleasant. But if I see 255 tomorrow, it'll be worth it,

A weekend of bad eating and terrible water consumption, combined with too much stress (my 15 month old fell & broke her front teeth in the bath last night). Not too worried, just back in the saddle.

Down 0.6 today despite the full-on arrival of TOM.

I'm a little nervous today, I have a meeting with my manager to let her know where I stand on a number of projects and the last time I spoke with her, she didn't seem very impressed. The fact of the matter is, I have far too much on my plate right now, can't handle all of it and she just keeps piling on more. She's one of those very bloody intimidating people whose been so freaking successful in the corporate world and is just so no-nonsense, sometimes you feel like she's not a "person" if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm hoping it goes well enough, fingers crossed although I'm not holding my breath. Wish me luck.

Horrible weekend, no weigh ins at all. Im sicker than i have been in a very long time.
I don't know if this is vacation catching up with me, being go go go and not slowing down or just time of the year but I feel like CRAP.
I don't care what the scale says, im already an angry sick person because it slows me down - I don't need to be an irritated one too :p

BBL for personals . . . I really shouldn't even be at work today yet I am - new Temp at reception and guess who's training!! Boo.

236.8 today. I am up 1.6

Not worried at all about it though. I went back to the gym and had a really great workout on Saturday. I jogged for the first time in almost 5 months! :yay: :running: It felt SOO good! I went much slower and was able to jog for almost 8 mins straight. :yikes: (talk about surprising myself) I was on the treadmill doing intervals for 30 mins and then went to the elliptical for 15 mins on a high resistance (level 14). Definitely overdid it. I was sore yesterday and I think I'm more sore today! LOL It feels so good though!!!! I have missed running. I know that my gain is water from my sore muscles. I can't wait to jog again. I dont think it will be til Wednesday though. I am going to the gym tonite, but it will only be for a 35 min flat walk. I'm hoping the walk will loosen up my legs a little.

I will be back at lunch for personals, but wanted to say to you, Kukkie, good luck with that meeting. I have had some challenging bosses in my time too. Put on your best smile and kill her with kindness and tell her that you are only 1 person and do the very best that you can do! If she doesn't like that, tell her to talk to me!
