I believe it's for eyelashes, not for the eye.

The commercials mention that a potential side effect is a permanent brown pigmentation of the iris.

I agree. To me that right there would be a deal breaker if I were considering this product. I love my green eyes just as they are.

Latisse is a spin-off from Lumigan--a drug that was used for glaucoma and a lash lengthening side effect was discovered. It definitely has a history of permanent eye color changes (with glaucoma it's put directly in the eye), but Latisse is meant to be applied to the lash line, thereby avoiding getting much of the product in your eyeball. Unfortunately, there is still the possibility of it getting in your eyes. Thankfully those of us who have brown eyes don't have to worry about that! LOL (I haven't used it but I plan on it soon)

There are lots of threads about it over at EDS (essential day spa forum) as well as posts about other lash products that don't have that particular side effect.

I've been using Lattise for a little over a month.

Today i curled my eyelashes and saw a HUGE difference from my puny eyelashes. I've been staying away from putting on mascara and curler because I wanted to see if I could notice a change.

I have brown eyes, but I haven't noticed any changes to skin or iris color. I've been using one drop and it's been enough to put on both eyelashes and I put the left over on my sparse eyebrows.

I paid $100 for one bottle and 1 bottle is supposed to last just one month. But, I have 1 month under the belt and A LOT left in the bottle. Almost 1/2 a bottle left.

I've been using the lattise since October. I finished my first bottle in December. I was using 1 drop for each eye with plenty of left over to put on my eyebrows. I now just apply the lattise about 2-3 times a week and my lashes are VERY long. You can see a HUGE difference when I curl and put mascara on.

AKim, thank you for the update! My son has considered it but we don't know anyone with personal experience. I'll pass yours along

I have glaucoma and used to use Lumigan before I had laser surgery.

I definitely noticed eyelash improvements, but never had any of the pigmentation issues (again it went right into the eye, not brushed on). I have light green/gold eyes depending on what I wear so I think I would have noticed brown pigmentation.

Man. I miss my thick eyelashes. I have tiny stubby, sparse ones now ;>
