ok, so i have my works christmas do in 9 weeks time, iv never been one before as all the girls are lovely and slim and i dont want to look like the 'fat frump' next to them :(
iv decided this year to just go anyway so im trying to loose some weight before i go. so far iv just been cutting back and eating no carbs after 5, aswell as swapping all my old meals for healthier alternitives. so far i think iv done 4lbs in 3 weeks. im thinking of starting the slim fast shakes for 2 weeks before the christmas do as one last big effort to loose as much as i can, safely, do so.
is this a good idea for quick weight loss just for a fortnight and how much do you thinkmi could loose?
im not doing this long term as its impossible to stick to and i will probably just end up doing more harm than good :dizzy:
im currently 214lbs and 5"4 if that helps any lol

Are you getting any exercise? That will help more than the shakes. I am very sensitive to soy and did not know it...I was really sick on those things. I did not lose anything either. I do MUCH better on whole foods, and just moving more. Plus, exercise will tone your muscles and you will look MUCH better even if you don't lose anything! Why not just continue on your healthy eating and see what happens?

slim fast is just a meal replacement shake... I guess it can help if you are watching the rest of your calories. Going low carb is usually the fast way to lose weight...protein, vegetables, a couple of fruits.

iv been on a low carb diet with no carbs at all after 5 for 3 weeks now. only lost 4lbs, i think that is pretty crap lol, i have given myself 1 day a week where i can eat pretty much what i want, but still have been keeping sensible. one nice treat and one nice meal (ie, choccy bar and small plate of curry) i just want somthing to give my weight loss a kick up the rectum for this party :D
