Congrats to the blue team, and to Bigmid for a great loss!!! WAY TO GO GUYS!

I can see I'll have to pull huge numbers to make that biggest loser list. LOL

Hope everyonei s having a great Monday. I'm a bit on the irritable side today and my kids are SOOo on my nerves. Days like today make me rethink my decision to homeschool. (not really but kinda). It makes me want to delve into some junk food... probably a good thing we don't keep it in the house! LOL

Wow, Congratulations to all of the losers last week big and small. It is very motivational! I hope to join you in this weeks weigh-in. I'm back on track with exercising and eating healthy. I've been losing and gaining the same 5lbs for the last two months and I'm tired of it. I'm ready to step it up and get out of the 250's. It's great to be on a winning team but I want to contribute too.

Thanks for the wishes everyone. I've been worried that I might do some emotional eating, but that's not been the case. So far I haven't had much of an appetite.

I'll be posting again later and will need to update my weight before Sunday, I'll have a loss and maybe Blue Team can three-peat victory!

Morning everyone!! Had a really bad weekend. TOM hit yesterday and I was sick all weekend. Didn't eat a whole lot but what I ate was full of fat and salt. Got back on track yesterday.

Was so pissed...made a dr.s appt for 3:50 yesterday afternoon and by 5:30 still hadn't seen the dr. They told me they forgot to check me in but the dr. preceeded to see all the people who came in after me first, so I got up and walked out. Now I need to make an appt to see a new dr. Will never go back to that dr.'s office again.

Congrats to all the losers this week!!! We are doing a phenomenal job.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Let's go for three!!!

Happy Tuesday blue team!!! Sorry I wasn't around much yesterday. I had a really bad (emotion-wise) day and couldn't seem to get myself off the couch. I'm determined not to let it continue another day tho!!! So I'm up, and already started exercising this morning.

HOpe everyone is having a really great day!!!

The good: I hit the 25# lost milestone this morning. :D

The bad: My body is trying to be sick. I've got some nasty bronchitis/respiratory thing attempting to take hold. And I couldn't go for a run this morning. My lungs feel so crappy and I knew the damp cold air would just be unbearable. Blerg. :(

Hope everyone is having a happy skinny Tuesday!

Congrats on the 25 lbs. That's awesome!

Ended up coming home a 1/2 day today. Just can't get warm or stop shaking.

Rochester-Congrats do you!!! You are doing great!!!

Jackie-they say exercise is the best thing for feeling depressed or blue. Hope today is a better day for you!

dayone-have you evaluated your plan. Maybe it's time to change it up a bit...sometimes what was working before stops working or isn't feasible anymore. Don't give up...losing 13 lbs is a big accomplishment. (((hugs)))

Quilt-Don't know never been in that situation but I was so sick yesterday I felt like I was going to pass out so I think maybe the doc should take me (being a paying customer) into consideration too. They could have easily fixed the mistake by seeing me according to my appt time and seeing the people with later appts after me. But they chose not to do that so I won't be patronizing that doctors office again

Hello again everyone!!! Hope your day is great. I worked out for 1hr 50 min today and feel great (if not a bit like a limp noodle). I am hoping to elliptical tonight during TBL show. I'm so glad the depression is gone. I hate feeling that way.

Mary... I would be upset too!! Doesn't seem like YOU should have to pay for their mistake. I definitely should have gotten up and exercised yesterday. I'm sure it would have helped. I've done so today and feeling MUCH better. :)

Rochester.. CONGRATS on a great milestone!!! That's awesome. I hope you get to feeling better really quickly.

MamaP.. I hate to hear you are sick also. :( Hoping your body perks up really quickly.

dayone.. <hugs> Just take each day as they come... don't look at the future or the past. Make each moment's decision, and focus only on that. You CAN do it!!! Don't get disheartened.

lolcat.. CONGRATS on not emotional eating. That can be such a slippery slope. I am looking forward to a three-peat victory myself!!

me4life.. Hope you are having a great day at work!

Spent an hour at the gym tonight with my son, the MMA fighter, getting put through a workout. He used to work as a personal trainer and can be pretty brutal. He said he took it easy on me cause I'm his mom. I'm hoping I can get out of bed tomorrow and hoping I'll be able to move my arms. According to my GWF I burned 400 calories in that hour. Pretty good.

Gonna drink my Theraflu and head to bed. I hope the other "sickies" feel better soon. :) Keep up the good work team!

Jennie.. Just invision yourself in a super nice outfit that you'd love to wear for your trip!! What can we do to help you?

Hey I've got another QOTW...

What is the one activity you look forward to the MOST when you hit goal? Do you have a special reward planned?

Mine is skydiving. I want to go so bad but refuse to have anyone strapped to my back until I'm more comfortable with my size. Once I hit 156 (I know that's not "ideal" but it's my goal weight for nwo), then I'm jumpin out of that plane!

Shopping! I have been putting off buying new clothes until I do.I have given away all of my bigger sizes to charity,so my closet is limited(that has also helped with gaining any weight back as I would have nothing to wear:D)

No special reward yet,but I should.I think I would finally reach my goal if I did.

My boss forced me to take a half day off day today. I never take sick days. A cup of tea and a nap sound marvelous though. I don't even want to think about what these days of illness are doing to my weight loss, though. I am freakin' starving but I can't breathe well enough to exercise. NOT a good combo!

@Jackie - Skydiving is an awesome goal! I have a friend who did it this summer and loved it.

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations blue team!

I hate to hear that so many people are sick. I took my first two sick days off two weeks ago with a cold. It was hard to do, but completely needed. I come from a family where you're not sick unless you're vomiting, have profuse diarrhea or are literally shaking with fever. However I work in a hospital and being sick at work doesn't do anyone any good. So I laid on our couch and slept and slept and slept, and then squeezed in some Sex and the City (thanks NancyO).:smug:

I'm glad I checked in and posted tonight. I was avoiding it last week because I was constantly tired after work and not exercising (guilt!!). Plus lately I've been overeating alot - to the point of being uncomfortable. I guess the plus side is that at least I'm noticing it, not accepting it as normal. Need to get back on track. I feel so much more motivated after reading through the thread this week. Yay for support!!

Thanks MamaP for the update on Zumba videos. Hope you're feeling less sore today.

1mooretime - love the will power dust - I haven't seen that before! Boy could I use some...

Jacky and NancyO - have fun at the conference this week!

Hi everyone, well were done 2 days of the conferences now and its 11:30 pm and I am still so full from dinner ( and dessert ) that it's not even funny. I ate so much tonight. You would think I would learn. I just hope I can remember how much pain I am in and not repeat this tomorrow.

I did go out at 6am this morning for a run and then went to the gym tonight but don't think either of those can make up for the eating

Will be doing the detomx for sure when I get home

Just want to say Thanks for all the congrats this week and to say get well to everyone who is sick and a big Hello to everyone on the Blue team.

Well heading to bed now another long full day for tomorrow.

Goodnight and have a great Op week everyone.

This! I mean, seriously, last year I went to work when I had swine flu! I think I learned my lesson, though. It usually takes me weeks to kick something when I get sick. But one day off - with lots of sleep and lots of "Grandma's Thera-Flu" (tea with honey, lemon and bourbon ;) ) and I feel soooo much better today. Not ready to go out for a run yet, but at least I don't feel like I'm going to fall over and die. :D

Morning Blue! Just had to come and share that I accomplished my first goal of this challenge. I survived my first spin class. It was intense, I was out of breath, legs and backend sore, and that was in the first 10 mins. I did push through and make it the whole hour. Think I'll try it again next week! I also have my body pump class scheduled for Saturday so I'll be able to check that off the list too. :carrot:

QOTD~ I plan on getting a tattoo, something that symbolizes the changes I've made in my life.

No time for personals this morning, got to run some errands before work today. Hope everyone who is sick gets to feeling better, those struggling are able to get back on track, and those that are rocking it keep up the hardwork!

Have a great day!

Well I had a week moment yesterday. I was about to dive into a bag of cookies when I decided to try and find some inspiration from weight loss blogs first. I found a great one that had a list of reasons to stay on plan. It really helped me refocus and not give into my temporary crazy cravings. Not sure if we are allowed to post a website address to a blog. Is it ok?

Jennie: I did the c25k "sort of" on the treadmill. I just did my 1st 30 minutes of straight jogging last night. I say "sort of" because I started the program and then skipped around because I could do more. I didn't run at all last week so I was only going to do 20 minutes but felt so good that I kept going to 30. I am super slow though. It took me 55min to get to a 5k even with the 30 min of jogging. It's weird because when I walk outside I can do a 5k in 1hr without any jogging. I'm going to keep working on my speed and then hopefully get brave enough to try it outside. I'm too chicken to sign up for any races (There are several this fall). Maybe in the spring. My daughter is a runner and will be doing a half marathon in Nov. She's my inspiration. She did a 7 mile run last night. Has anyone here entered a race? Please share your experience if you have.

Bigmid: I'm proud of you for exercising! If I overeat I tend to let the fitness go too. Way to go for not letting one bad day of eating get you down. Wishing you a better day today.

Hope everyone is feeling better.

Special Reward: I want to go on a trip too. This year was our 25 anniversary and I wanted to go somewhere like the Virgin Islands but I was too embarrassed to fly. Last trip I had to ask for a seat belt extender. I wanted to be in better shape too to really enjoy it. Money was tight this year anyway so I had a good excuse. We ended up driving up to the mountains to a nice cabin and it was great, but I am still planning that dream vacation with my sweetheart. Hopefully by next summer.

Another quick update about another terrible week. I have been sick and stressed out. Something is wrong with my daughter, besides the ear infection and broken foot. And now she has to see a specialist (urologist). It might not be that serious but the pediatricians were concerned which is making me nervous. I've been at the doctor's office just about once a day for different kids for the past two weeks.

So hopefully now that everything has been taken care of (until November) I can't get back to focusing on me. Sounds selfish but I'm pushed to my limit. No sleep, no exercise, no healthy food has taken it's toll on my body and mind. I keep forgetting things and getting things confused and I'm sick for the second time in two weeks. I need some time to take care of myself so I can take better care of everyone else.

Sorry that my weigh in last week was up a bit, and to be honest, this week probably won't be that great either. But I'm not giving up. I'm so proud of yall and all yall have lost so far... and I hope I can make yall proud too. ;)

Good evening all. Zoo yesterday was fun. Got in 5 hours of walking around, and came home super sore. Got up this morning and did my strength workout again (it's a good solid 1hr 15 min), but didn't manage to get on the elliptical today. My weight is up a couple pounds this week already, for some reason. It's completley stressing me out. I know it will come off eventually, and I had a huge weight loss last week, so just sticking with it is all I can do.

I hate to hear we have so many struggling. I wish I could make a change for you, give you the motivation you need, or the push to get back on track. All I can do is be here, and encourage you to do right. Do what you KNOW is healthiest for your body. Think of each bite of fatty food congealing in your veins, each nibble of sugar multiplying on your thighs, each bad food doing bad to your body.

I hope the sickies hurry up and leave all those that are feeling under the weather too!!

<hugs> blue!!

Hey Blue team,

I know I haven't been involved with this group very much, not doing personals or posting very much, but I have been taking care of my mother for the past 2 weeks and I guess I was hoping that she would get better on her own but I finally took her to the hospital today.

I thought that she was having a hard time with her medications for gout(as did her Doctor) but after 3 days of being off of the meds and not being able to get out of bed,the concern went sky high.I took her for a blood test today that was done STAT, and her Dr. called @ 5pm to say that she needed to go to the ER. So after having a very good year for an 82yr 0ld my mother(not 1 illness)she has finally relasped. She has MDS a form of blood cancer and precursor to Leukemia, that she has had for 3 years.

The upside to this is that with blood transfusions and shots of procrit and b-12 she should be like new by Monday.

I love my mother:hug:

I am going to have to drop out of the challenge. :( I am so angry, frustrated, and sad. I am now only able to eat a small amount of turkey and plain potatoes. I am not losing the weight in a healthy manner. I can't even get out and walk because of the pain, nausea, and dizziness. I was supposed to have surgery sometime this past week and then I was hoping I could be 100% focused on healthy eating and exercise and really participate in the challenge. Well I just found out that the surgeon is TOTALLY unaware of how long his wait list is and my surgery has been scheduled for November 30th. So I am instructed to keep taking the gravol, percoset/oxycodone and just stick to turkey and potatoes.

I wish you all the best in the challenge, and hopefully I can participate in the next one.

First, let me say Congratulations to all of the blue team! We are rocking this Fall Challenge so far.

I have not been able to post in chats or do personals, but I am hopefully back to a somewhat normal schedule this week. I just returned from fall break with my kids and I feel refreshed. We went to the beach, which is my favorite stress reliever. I was able to fit in 4 of my training runs and the last one was my best one yet. I was able to actually run a full mile before taking a break to walk. This is a big deal for me. I have been training to do my first 5K run in November and I am getting nervous.

My weight loss over the past few months has all but come to a halt. I will usually have 1 week a month where I have a whoosh of weight loss but the rest of the month I fight to stay at that weight until I see the next whoosh. It is extremely discouraging, especially since I still have a ways to go. I did not have a scale with me on vacation so I am anxious to weigh tomorrow morning and see if taking a week off from my daily weigh-in made a difference.

Hope everyone else has been having a good week and is ready for weigh in. Here's to everyone being a LOSER!

Hi Blue Team! Sorry I haven`t been around much as of yet, but now that my work confernce is done and I have no more vacation plans, I`ll be able to focus more on weight loss. And sorry I posted a 2.6 gain :(, there was waaaaaay too much good food at the conference and my will power sucked! But I`m hoping for a good loss this week!

I don`t really have time for personals this morning, but, Babygrant, sorry you have to drop out and I hope you`re feeling better really soon!

Have a great week everyone!

Hi Team,

No weight loss for this week, but no significant gain either. Guess I need to pump up the motivation and start sticking to a plan. First time in my life I've had back pain (now I understand!) so I'm going to try some yoga for back care and see if I can get this kink out. If I work out today, that's one more workout than last week, so I can claim improvement. Now only if I could stick to an eating plan...night time is deadly for snacks.

Babygrant - just focus on getting well. Sorry that your surgery is later than you'd hoped

Lolcat - congratulations on meeting a milestone!

gypsychic - how is P90X going? I looked at starting it, but was really intimidated!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians. No turkey for me - I should make some lentil loaf - delicious!!

:happ3:

Good morning & happy Sunday Blue Team. Congrats to bigmid on biggest loser of the week... way to go!!

I've been having a tough time following my exercise plan this week, too much going on & by the time I remember to exercise it's already time for bed... I'll do better next week.

Sorry to hear that your not feeling well Baby Grant... take care and feel better soon!

Have a great weigh-in & see you all "lighter" next week

Hi all, make sure to WI you have 2hrs left.

Sorry but I'm posting a huge gain of 6lbs this week due to to much food and not enough water this week away at conference. I will have it off by next weeks WI.

I'm just heading back home.....I'm on the highway right now (don't worryim no driving).

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians
