I'm in. Been awhile since I've done one of these and sadly I've never stuck it through. October is my month of accountability and I will weigh whether I want to face the music or not. I want to lose 10 lbs this month. Good luck all!
SW: 172.4
GW: 162.4
1: 172.4

14: 168.6!!! I won't get too excited. I saved calories for some imbibing last night and had TWO glasses of wine. Likely some of this is from dehydration. (p.s. When you count calories and drink hangovers can come from much less booze!)

I'm in. This is my first full month with my new scale. I really like have the decimal places because I can see downward movement even if it is only .2 of a pound!

Oct.
1 - 195.8
2 - 195.8
3 - 198.8
4 - 198.6
5 - 197.2
6 - 197.6 Maybe I claimed that 196 too soon.
11 - 198.8
12 - 199.2 Some of this is fluctation but some may be real fat. I have let too many sweets and calories slip in. Time to get strict with myself.
12 - 199.2

Welcome to everyone who's just joined us! We're going to rock October to its bones!

Lnoel - I figure you're more likely to check this thread now ;) Thanks, I definitely feel better than I did yesterday, but still not 100%. Really happy I went to French class, it was good, my prof is just so great and it felt good to get out of the house. I spent all of Sunday at home relaxing and then worked from home Mon-Wed so I guess I was feeling a little cooped up to say the least.

Shylah - Don't stress over it. It's a new month, new beginning, so take it as it comes and then you know what you have to do to get back on track! We'll do it together, cus I think my body needs a kick too!

Yeah - just edit your first post everyday and add the day's weight - and if you want, you can also post a new post to chat about your accomplishments and struggles and those of others :)

177 on the nose this morning, so obviously bringing my calories up has done some good.
Im still concerned I havent had a decent 'movement' so if nothing happens today I'll try some over night something to help it along. I'm hoping that a good session at the gym with cardio will help move things along too.

Aimee - Was wondering where you went to! Crossing fingers for a great wi today :)

Down .1 - but only after I took out the batteries on the scale and then had my husband weigh himself. I'm not sure I like this new scale! I don't like that it seems to 'remember' my weight - because I weighed myself on my old scale, and the number was several tenths lower than it was yesterday when I weighed.

ShylahEQ

fitkristi - what scale do you have? My scale was doing the same thing before my vacation. We'll see what it does from here on out.

Coon - awesome job getting that scale moving again. weird how upping calories seems to work eh?

Dianna - TTOM is such a mind game at times lol grats on getting back to your low. you rock!

So I'm starting October up, but luckily only 0.2 to 195 even. I'll take it though because hubby and I went out for dinner last night and I tried really really hard to eat well throughout the day keeping in mind that I was going out. Apparently, I didn't do too shabby. Still not feeling 100% I just can't seem to shake it. It's driving me nutso so I'm working from home again today. Thank goodness I have that option.

Saw a nice drop this morning. My legs are still really sore from walking around the fair. I'm going to the gym tonight for some light elliptical to get some blood flowing through them and hopefully help them loosen up a bit.

Welcome to all the new folks that are going to join us for a great challenge for October!!

Coon: Glad playing with the calories is working well for you. Sometimes we just need to confuse the heck out of our bodies like they do to us all the time. Good for you! :)

Diana: Great job getting back to that low! TOM is so dumb! LOL

Star: I just made it to 15 lbs too and got another bouncy guy! Congrats on your 15 lbs!!!! Good for you!!!:congrat:

Where my ladies at? :)
Good morning everybodeee! Thanks for the congrats! Well I am holding at 200. It seems the Fat Fairy wants me to work hard for Onederland!! Okay, fair enough.

I have been running/walking doing the C25K, but I am NOT a natural runner, so I have just been doing the first week for two weeks and gradually increasing my speed. The whole point of this is to just get in the habit of getting my body moving and it is working.

Now, my next goal this month is to really dedicate myself to some lifting.I don't want flabby arms and tummy. So, I am putting it out there so you all know what I am supposed to be doing! Hooray for my "Accountability Team"!

Hello to all the newest members! :welcome: I wish you all success in October. Here is to BIG moves in the right direction on all our scales!

Angie- Sorry to hear about missing your training session. I know how hard it is to pull yourself out of that mopey/crappy mode after a fight. I can reflect back and see that in those times I just wanted to curl up and sleep instead of do what I needed to. I am not going to do that anymore! Why? Because I am important - YOU are important! That is where this place comes in, we are here to support each other. We all could use a little caring and need cheers to keep us going!:hug:Right? Were you able to get a work out last night on the treadmill anyway? If not, try it again sometime today! 5 minutes is all you need to get started!

Swimgirl- You got it! FINGERS, LEGS, ARMS, and even my EYES ARE CROSSED for ya! :crossed:

Star- Decreasing sodium is an awesome goal to have! It is amazing how much more we consume than is recommended. I stopped putting salt on my foods in August....bleh....I am trying to get used to it! Some thing I handle better than others. With steamed veggies I really CRAVE that salt! Or with a Margarita (Leah loves her some Margaritas!)-but cant have those for awhile- phooey. :congrat: on the loss!

Vixsin- Sounds like you have a great plan for tonight!! Sending workout vibes your way! Congrats on your WI today!:ebike:

Diana- Yay, going down-town girly! My TOM drives me crazy too!:dizzy:

Jenteal- That is so awesome that you work out before and after work! I wish I had the time to do that too! I would have to wake up at like 3 AM to work out! Hmmm, but if I did, I could beat Diana to the boards! heheheeh...she is ALWAYS first to post! Sounds like you are really OP! WAY TO GO!:smug:

Kris- Hang in there girl! Gotta keep the faith! Go away 216! ;)

Kukkie - Shake, shake, shake...shake, shake, shake....shake those cooties!!! ***a disco reference- you'll have to forgive me, I couldn't help it!***Feel better soon hun! :getwell:

WHERE IS ONA???? Missing you, check in soon!

I know I missed a lot, but a girl's gotta work! Forgive me, you know I am rooting for you all! TTFN!

Make good choices and have a great OP day! Hurray, its FRIDAY!:dancer:

TGIF!! I have to work tomorrow, but I have Sunday and Monday off! Yay :) I am excited for a couple days off in a row, been a while!

Diana - Gotta love that you lose with TOM!! The beginning of the month is crazy around here, eh??

Coondocks - unfortunately when my life gets crazy, this is the first thing I stop doing! We had a guest from out of town, and were pulling some crazy hours, getting up at 3:30am to drive Josh and her to work, and then I was working late. Plus we had a few dinner's out! So glad you've made it back to 177 :D Upping calories always worked for me too!

fitkristi - that's got to be frustrating! It's amazing what all the scale have for technology these days!

Shylah - happy to see you posting again :) I missed you!

StarGetsFit - I love sodium too, So evilly good!!

Kukkie - Sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great still! Lots of vitamin c!

Vixsin - congrats on your loss! October will be FABULOUS! :D

I will bbl for my WI!

I have a question for those of you on Birth control pills. Everyone else seems to gain weight during TOM. Im just the opposite. I lose like 4 lbs during that time. Im thinking its water weight lost do to the fact that I stop taking the pills for that week. Then when I start the new pack for the month I gain a little back or stall out. Anyone else see this happening to them? Could it be water weight fluctuations?

Hi Creeech!! I can relate!! I am getting soaked in MA! Hope your workout was great!

 Shylah, Kukkie

Akelly: Welcome back! :welcome2: Sounds like you've got a little pep in your step! I like it! :high:

Noel: Rock on with the running!!:running: I miss running and can't wait to get back to it. Onederland here YOU come!!!! :goodvibes:

Aimee: You can do it. Only 1 more day and then 2 off!! :yay: :crossed: :crossed: for your WI

Lnoelparis - we posted at the same time! Thanks for crossing all your body parts for me :D Congrats on 200, I loved the picture! Great idea!

Vixsin - soooo excited, I am off today too, so it'll be a good couple of days! I'll also get paid for taking Monday off, so life is good!

Alright, I guess I wasn't crossing enough body parts because I had a 1.3 gain. Not super surprised, while I've been eating decent, I have been having TWO things that my body hates! So I'm starting October at 261.0. Which means I lost .9 in Sept,

Vixsin: Thanks! I'll actually be up your way next weekend :) Have a client in Middletown, NY that I'll be working at for 2 weeks, so on the weekend in between I'm driving over to Boston and staying in Quincy!

Aimee: .9 lost is still better than my 1.6 gain for September :(

My weigh in today is 237 (-.6), sticking with my plan and even though I'm on phase 2 which has some (limited) carbs I'm still losing. It's funny how a little carbs can really make you crave more though...it's a battle!

Everyone seems to be happy to see a new month, fresh starts are exciting!

Congratulations to everyone who was a loser today and to those who gained or maintained, (here comes the pep talk!) stick to your guns and do the right thing and you'll see the results soon!

Leah -- Thank you for the support! I did end up using the treadmill and I felt great about it afterward. By this morning I had a different perspective on the blowout with my ex and I'm feeling so much better. I know exercise has amazing powers and influence on mood, but sometimes it's hard to convince yourself of that in the moment. I'm really grateful for the encouragement. :)

Star -- Have you tried using half salt or no salt for cooking?

Sunshine congrats on the 9lbs GONE and on seeing the 240's :)

Angie great job on the .6

Ona love it ... keep those words coming

I am down .8 this morning, shocked and happy. Re-joined Curves today so I'm feeling good about that. Loss 11 inches the first month I joined before in 07. They have all of these new things so I'm hoping to tone up and shed inches this time also. Hope to do well since I am eating better unlike before. I can't wait to do my measurements tomorrow. I have always wanted to take them but why I would do it they would always be wrong (I knew this because my waist and hips would be the same as a long time ago) and I know I have lost inches. Well enough of my rambling, Have a wonderful night everyone. Hoping we all have great numbers on the scale tomorrow

Morning everyone! I weighed in at 236 today, so down 1 from yesterday. :yay:

Ona -- Thank you :) Can't wait to watch you knock the 240's out of the park in October.

Love -- Rejoining Curves is exciting, you're doing so well and I'm sure this is just going to push you along a little faster. When on earth will you go though??? You'll have to send your double. ;)

I have a busy day planned for DS and I, dropping off stuff to the humane society, then goodwill then off to visit a friend, then down to visit my aunt & grandmother and make them (healthy) dinner. Have a great day~

I'm down 1.6, which brings me to 242.7 - which means I'm down 60lbs and have hit my 20% WOOHOO! After the TERRIBLE day I had yesterday, I needed this! In the morning yesterday, my baby tripped and hit her head on the bottom corner of my computer desk. THEN I got a call from my daughter's school that during her school's Fun Walk to raise money, she had tripped and fallen outside and hit HER head and I needed to go get her. So when I got to the school, I ran into the nurses office and THIS is what I was met with:
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b264/mom2maggie/39295_450574606640_681616640_5660949_499126_n.jpg
Ack! My poor baby! So after talking to the nurse, who said that she had gotten drowsy and almost nodded off a couple of times, we both agreed that I needed to get her checked out to be safe. My doctor looked at her and said to be safe we should get a CT scan - so off we were to get the scan. Thankfully it all turned out okay, and it was just soft tissue swelling with no brain swelling or cracks of the skull. Turns out that they had the kindergartners skipping through a obstacle course in a group in the parking lot (so on asphalt!), and another kid cut in front of her and she got tripped up. Why in the WORLD they wouldn't send them skipping one at a time when they are FIVE! years old, I'll never know - it just seems like a recipe for DISASTER to me! We told her she could have whatever she wanted for dinner since we were out running from doctors to hospitals and she chose fast food...and I didn't flipping care! So to have still seen a loss this morning is #1 beyond me and #2 someone smiling down on me for not completely losing my cool yesterday. :carrot:

pamepinto28 - This is only my 2nd month joining in this weigh in, and I knew I had to do this month because of how GREAT everyone was last month! It was so motivating knowing that people were expecting me to weigh in, and responded to me when I did - and that I got to know some new friends (and really nice ones at that!)

Angie - woohoo on the -1!

starbrite - look at you out of the 230's! Woo!!!

Pamepinto, not to sound corny but the people here are my family. I have been picked up so many times by them it's amazing. Much more support from here than anyone else. No judging, no put downs, just constant pick me ups, you do get yelled at if you get too down on yourself (the best words you've read) but it's only to let you know that they are here and they care, the love and hugs are constant  we share just about everything so you are never alone

Angie congrats on the 1lb down :yay: ... LOL, I had to think that out also. I will go as soon as the bus leaves between 8:45-9:00 so I can get back in time to pick up our oldest, shower and take her to work. Then at 8:00 on Saturdays. My double can rest during that time :D Oh my goodness you need a double today. Have fun.

:welcome: Starbrite great job on the whoosh :)

Kristi congrats on the 60lbs GONE :high: and the 1.6 down, that's great :) Oh Kristi I am so glad they are OK ... whew Mommy both of them in one day. It's amazing you kept your cool. Hope the boo boo's go down soon and don't leave marks.

Diana congrats on the .4 down :) ... I love my coffee again too, I just forget to set the coffee maker up at night and if I don't I do it then I don't have time in the morning. :) Today was just my weigh in and measure. Even though I'd been there before they have to treat me like a newbie. I didn't mind it was kind of fun. They have this CurvesSmart thing that I can't do until the do a muscle training with me next week. I will definitely keep you all updated. Since DH is paying I will definitely go everyday except Sunday (they're closed).

Ona I stayed the same also, but it's OK it is so much better than a gain. I didn't see anything posted about it, but a few of the ladies from church go there so I'll ask in the morning :) Zumba was hard for me though. I'm not very coordinated so moving my arms, legs and body at the same time in different directions is rather hilarious  It was nippie out this morning I have to put my gloves back in the van ;) Ona almost 100lbs GONE, you go GIRL using your words FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, FIGHT ON.

Kris, you are amazing, you show that sad/mad face and then pow 1.2lbs gone, see  Keep smiling Lady :) And yes a loss is a loss. I only did 3.4 you're one up on me and still moving on down  ... :crossed: on meeting a great someone in a high rank. :)

OK here's my morning ... got on the scale this morning at first it said 166.2 I said oh well no change but of course my ritual is to get on the scale a million times, still the same. Thought about Kristi and her saying the scale must be stuck ;) ... used the bathroom got on the scale again 165.6, I thought naw, really???? so I moved it, still the same, a few more times still the same. I put my clothes on, since I'll have to weigh in them at Curves and it said 167. I thought really 1.4lbs for underclothes, capris, shirt and socks, no that's crazy. So I said I'll take the 166.2 and the clothes weigh .8 put me at the 167 dressed. Well got to Curves and I weighed in at 166.5, only .5 down from my scale ... I'll take this in CLOTHES. But I only record my nude wake up weight on here. Sorry this was so long. Any input you all have on the weight of clothing is appreciated. How do you weigh and what do you record/journal?

Oh I ate a Kellogg's Fiber Plus Antioxidants bar there it has 130 calories, 5g fat, 95mg sodium, 24 carbs, 5g protein and 9g of FIBER <--- the lady told me to be careful because it sent her to the bathroom not long after eating it. I told her that's what I need. Coondocks maybe you could try these. Haven't been to the bathroom yet but things are swishing around in there :D

The month has not started off well for me to say the least. I'm up 1.6 from yesterday to 196.6. TOM is gone, thank goodness, the cold is still lingering though I'm feeling slightly better minus the headache I woke up with this morning, finally had a  but that was after my WI this morning. Oh, my brother and I went out for dinner last night, figured he could use some familia since my parents are still out of town - maybe it's from that, although I didn't really eat much last night, went out more for the cocktail (which wasn't that great) and the company. In any case, I'm feeling slightly better but I have a ton of errands to run today, plus I need to study for French class I've thrown into my already hectic schedule. If all the running around doesn't drain my energy completely I'm going to try to get in a run today. PS - it's official - smoke-free for two weeks! Yippee :cheer:

We are such a happening thread already this month! I haven't had much time for personals lately, but here goes:

Lnoel I absolutely LOVED the disco reference. :dancer: I haven't heard it in so long that I added it to my download list for my iPod. That was awesome and totally put a smile on my face. Thank you!

ma26 Warmer climates are absolutely exciting! You're going to rock that goal and we're right here to help you with it.

Angie I'm a sucker for carbs, I really am! So I totally know what you mean by having a little stimulates the craving for more. Stay strong girl, you can do it. Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you! Do you have to drive far to get to your aunt's? And I totally agree with you about the half salt - I did this while I was on LA Weight Loss years ago, it's really good, more potassium in it than sodium!

Love2b I have been thinking in my head forever that I really need to take measurements but can you believe there is no measuring tape in this house of MIL's??? Anyway, you mentioning yesterday reminded me, so thank you! I've got it on my to-do list today to pick one up from the dollar store. I love seeing the inches go even when the scale is not moving. Congrats on getting back to Curves! Although, I agree with Angie you're going to have to send your double  Seriously though, good job on making it fit in your schedule, we absolutely have to find ways to make it work for us. As for the weighing of with clothes, I try not to although sometimes it just can't be helped. I usually WI in the morning when I get undressed for the shower. I know with the Wi Fit - it asks you if you're wearing no clothes, heavy clothes on light clothes  so I definitely think it makes a difference!

Pinto What a nice thing to say! We have in many ways become a family in this thread and it's a great thing to have. For me personally, my husband gets what I'm doing as do my parents, but everyone else doesn't really understand why I do what I do or how important it is to me, so it's an amazing thing to come on here and share with these girls because they not only understand, they're right there with you and it's such powerful motivation to have a support group like that. As for your BC question, I found I used to be like that on another brand years ago, but not so much on the BC I'm on now. It totally makes sense though!

Kristi Oh my goodness! Her bump is massive, what the heck were they thinking making the kids skip on asphalt?!?! So glad to hear she's okay though! Good for you on keeping your calm and congratulations on your 60 lbs down. What a fabulous achievement! :congrat: PS. I kinda wish my being sick had dissipated as quick as yours did.

Diana I utterly understand your two cups of coffee. I told my husband before we got married that he needed to understand that my day does not start and my brain does not function without a cup of coffee first. We have a delay timer on our coffee maker for the days when I get up before he does to go to work, but on the days that he wakes up first, he makes sure the first thing he does is put on the coffee! :coffee2: Great job on the 0.4 - you're going to be out of the 190s in no time!

Ona The way you've been going, I definitely think you're going to make your 100 lbs gone before your anniversary. Especially when you've got the sumo wrestling throwing it down with you. Have you done Zumba before? You're going to have sooo much fun with it, I love it, it's such a great workout!

Mama Great job on the 215! I can't believe it the ball is coming up so soon, you must be very excited - I'm excited for you! Do you know when you're going to be fitted for the dress again? I think it would be very romantic if you found your high-ranking man at the ball. I can't help but get the picture of JAG (did you ever watch that show) in my head when I think of your ball

I really hope I didn't miss anyone, I was trying to catch up on days of not posting personals

 to anyone and everyone I may have missed.

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Pamepinto, not to sound corny but the people here are my family.

Well said Love - I totally agree with you!

Sept 30th: 244.4

1: 243.2 Sodium 170%
2: 243.2 Sodium 370%

As you can see, I'm doing really great at lowering my sodium intake.:^: I will say this is because we ate out last night. My poor husband enjoys my cooking, but last month we went from eating out 3-4 nights a week and Sunday mornings to only eating out for our traditional Sunday morning ritual. So, he was kinda enough to tell me on Tuesday that he wanted to go out Friday so I could "have time to plan and whatever." Our original plan was scrapped because he had to work overtime and we ended up at a different restaurant than planned, but I did okay food-wise. I had a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with no bun or mayo. However, the sodium in the buffalo sauce just killed me. But it was sooooo good.

I'm happy I maintained and I didn't bloat up, especially since I had two micro brews as well.:o

Angie I don't really cook with salt in any extreme sense. My problem with sodium comes from eating too many pre-packaged foods. I've been working 60 hours a week at two jobs and gone from eating out A LOT to only once a week. I can cook. I can cook amazing things . . . that take 2-4 hours and possibly 2-3 days prep. People rave and dream about the things I can cook. However, a 30 minute week night healthy dinner . . .er. . .:?:? Being a sycophant of Cooks Illustrated and Julia Child (before it was hip) has not prepared me well for this journey, especially combined with my current workload.

But I am learning. My broiler is my friend. I also have this thing called a crock*pot I think could be useful. I used it once to roast meat, but I suspect it can do other things. Possibly healthy things.

BTW Angie, 1lb down is a great way to roll into October! Great Job!:yay:

Starbrite Nice whooosh, Lady!:high:

FitKristi Great job keeping your cool through all of that! Your poor baby! But from the picture she looks like she was very brave! Nice job on the loss, too!:yay:

Diana That's a new low for you, isn't it?:bravo:

Ona:wave: Look at us both holding steady and still fighting the good fight!:sumo:

MamaP You're leaving 218 far far away in the dust!:woohoo: Great job!:yay: And I'll send "Kris is going to meet and tall, dark, high-ranking stranger vibes" your way.;)

Love How do I weigh? I also weigh in the morning, nude, after doing the "buisness." I get on the scale three times. If I get three different weights, I take the highest. If I get two matching and one dissenting, I take the matching. I also took my measurements back on the 28th (found some great youtube videos about exactly where to take them) and plan to take them every month so I have more than one barometer on how I'm doing.

Kukkie Congratulations on being smoke-free for two weeks! That is so awesome!:bravo: My guess is that, more than anything, is what's messing with you weight. Your body is still probably freaking out and trying to figure out what's going on. Addiction can wreak havoc on our bodies. You deserve a lot kudos for making such a healthy, loving choice for yourself!

And a big :welcome: to all the new folks joining this month.

And a :thanks2: because it's so cute and I just can't wait until Thanksgiving!

Thanks Kukkie for the weigh input. You know I never even thought about the fact that the wii ask about your clothes. Sometimes I feel so clueless. :?: LOL ... on the measuring I can't wait to see what she gets next month because I think her measurements were off the only one I agree with is the breast at 38 and a half because my bras are too big, but when I tried on the 38 it felt too tight and my saggy boobs looked horrible, so I don't know what to do. I can't afford to buy a $40-50 bra only for it not to fit in a few months. So I guess I'll have to keep adjusting myself :D. I know TMI, but like someone said they do tend to come from the bottom which is quite embarrassing :(

Janel nice picture :)

Star where are you inputting your info to get the salt percentage? I know you said it but I forgot :sorry: I try to limit mine as much as possible but sometimes it is over the 2400mg for a 2000 calorie intake which I am not on. I'm on a 1600 calorie diet but don't seem to ever reach that either. :D I don't know how to find the right site to tell me exactly what I should be doing. On measuring ... when I tried taking my own measurements the tape would roll and the numbers seemed so high (I didn't like that) ;) Even today the lady had me hold the tape for her twice. I am weirdly shaped. So to see the end results is gonna definitely be interesting. Thank you for your weigh input also.

Jennie congrats on the .2 down :)

Love -- I normally weigh in a t shirt and underwear...if I'm wearing bottoms I take them off, they are too heavy!

Kukkie -- My aunt's place is not too far, we are in Brampton and she is in Mississauga. I did LA weight loss a few years ago too! lol. My COD (Centre of Doom) was in Brampton on Bovaird. Were you with the Woodbridge one? Gotta love the local talk :D

Star -- I love cooking too! Sometimes I spend a few hours on Sundays making things up for the week. Ie/ a huge package of extra lean ground beef becomes, meatballs, hamburgers, meatloaf and seasoned meat for taco salad. That's 4 dinners that just have to be assembled. The crockpot is your friend...put things in it, healthy things, come back later and they will be delicious. :p

I invited a good friend to join 3FC and this group. She's trying to lose some weight while on her maternity leave, so she can be super hot when she returns to work. I hope she comes!

I'm down .4 this morning. I'll take it, and give credit to the cardio I did yesterday morning. :) I'm all heady with my carbs. This mornings breakfast was a low carb tortilla topped with an oz of cheese, 2oz of extra lean ground beef that I'd made into hamburgers the other day, and a tablespoon of tomato sauce. For my DS I made waffles and bacon *drool*. He ate his breafast, then had a bite of mine and asked for one of what I had!

Starbrite -- Sounds like you have a plan! Why do whooshes always have to be followed by a gain? It's one of life's inequities.

Everyone is doing so great! :carrot:

Had a 2 lb gain over yesterday but think it's due to TOM. Since I've not weighed daily so far, I have no idea how TOM affects my weight, but it's not looking good  . I've been drinking a LOT of water the past couple days, so I'm wondering if that's part of it too :?: .

I'm just trying to stay positive and stick with the plan, even if it's easy to get frustrated when things don't move as fast as you want them to. Also, my new scale I bought for the start of my journey on here is clocking in me in at 18 lbs more (!!!) than my old scale, so I'm seeing all the numbers again I thought I had left behind already :(.

Oh well, my new mantra is: It's a marathon, not a sprint!

Angie Thank you.

cincimini Everyone gains differently during TTOM. I used to easily gain 5-10 pounds during TTOM. Now I gain a few pounds. Definitely stay positive! Sorry about the new scale weighing you heavier. That's frustrating. Just look at it like a new start.

I am actually. The new scale coincided with my joining here, so that really was the start of Mission Neg. 100 :-) . I probably have lost about 8-10 before coming here, so I'm just happy I had those off already. Otherwise the read would have been really crushing.

We'll see come tomorrow. I weigh earlier during the week than I do on weekends, so I'm expecting an upswing. I just don't know what to do to get this weight to come off a little faster. At this rate, I doubt I break into the 10s before the ball. I need to up my cardio and stick with it. :) Woke up this morning with an awful sore throat and some congestion, but I'll try the Zumba workout later anyway.

You're not alone ;). When I used to weigh myself with clothes (even just PJs or underwear), it was too much temptation to just "blame" the clothes and ignore the fact that nope, it was all ME. There's no cheating when you're in your birthday suit... :D.

Woah! I didn't have time to post yesterday and I am shocked at how much I missed.. I'll start with today!

Ona - It's interesting to watch the patterns in which people lose weight, big drop, and then a few days of maintaining, and then another big drop! It's probably much more frustrating that interesting when it's happening to you though, just know it'll drop soon :)

Angie - congrats on the .4! Your breakfast sounds yummy!

Diana - I'm having issues waking up today too, woke up early, but felt awake, and now all I want to do is nap! Congrats on your loss during TTOM!

cincimini - I had one of those scale changes too, it was a little frustrating, and I can't even lie - I totally cried! I was very upset! TOM makes me gain 2 - 6 pounds, once I see the little jump I weigh every second day until it's gone. Any downwards movement is extremely good when you weigh daily, those little losses sure add up quickly!

fitkristi - the bf and I are doing the same, except instead of no kids it's no work! Since we work together it's tough to get away from it all, plus it looks bad if we consistently have the same days off! Lots of water to flush it all out! And maybe a little "exercise" ;)

creech - nice loss :)

Kukkie - What a great loss today! :D

Kris - I hate the early morning WI's, but it might surprise you tomorrow! When I WI on workday's I always do it after I blow dry my hair, but before I put on my earrings - like somehow wet hair or little earrings will somehow impact my WI! Ah the little rituals we do

So I have to admit I'm completely self conscious weighing in front of the bf - not because of my weight but because he does NOT support the daily weighing thing. This is a lot of the reason's I miss WI's, including today. He thinks I'm a slave to the scale, but in reality it helps to remind me of what I'm doing. Anyways, thats what is on my mind today!

Aimee Ha Ha TTOM isn't over yet. There's still time for a rebound. Do you weigh on the Wii or a scale? Do you have a regular scale? I would put it in a different room and weigh every morning like you want to. I actually weigh before DH even gets up. He doesn't care one way or the other, anyways. His main concern about my weight loss is that doesn't affect him. He doesn't want to workout, he doesn't want to walk, he doesn't want to eat like me, etc. I can do whatever I want to do, as long as he doesn't have to do it, too.

Diana - I only use my wii to weigh, I used to have a scale but the numbers were so off depending on how I stood on it. I need to just get over it, just because he doesn't believe in weighing daily doesn't mean I have to hide it! The bf is actually doing the diet portion with me starting tomorrow, he won't join in with exercise.. but having someone eating the same food as me is quite helpful :)

I was super tired today, but I dragged myself to my grandma's and barely had energy to help with dinner. I gotta wonder what's going on with all my low energy! I am eating decent, sleeping good the past 5 days. Going to buy some multivitamins on Tuesday, hopefully that'll help!

Hey Ona

Diana good job on the .2 :) My hubby is the same way, he would walk sometimes if I ask but for the most part it's whatever makes me happy and doesn't bother him. :)

Cinci great way of thinking it's not a sprint we are in this for the long haul  and like Diana said just look at it as a new start and those repeated numbers will hopefully go away soon <--- I said the last part :D You are so right there is no cheating in your bday suit

Kristi how you feel about your date day meal is how I feel about my dinner today ... 1035 in calories just dinner and the doesn't include sugar and other stuff used to prepare the dinner but it was so good.

Creeesh good job on the .6 :)

:woohoo: Kukkie on the 1.5 :high: you're doing great :)

Thanks Kris on the weigh in response. Hope you feel better  I wear a sterling bracelet on each arm and they are so hard to put back on so I leave them, I do take my earrings and rings off though. I don't know why I just do :D

Hi Aimee  wet hair does make a difference. (my middle son noticed it before I did) My hair though short holds water, so I make sure it is fully dry before I weigh. :)

:woohoo: Star 2lbs you are doing great. :high: I like to take the higher also with hopes that I'll see a better number the following day. Like to sike myself out sometimes :D Sure gonna need some of that siking <-- new word ;) tomorrow. Horrible calories at dinner :)

Hi Ann :welcome:

Aimee sorry about the lack of energy hope the vitamins help  And glad you are getting your rest. :)

As for me I'm up 1.2 from yesterday. I honestly don't expect a loss tomorrow either. Made a mini Thanksgiving type meal today at our middle sons request. and my calories were extremely high. The only thing that may help is a good morning in the bathroom, and we know for me that doesn't happen. Oh well I'll just look forward to Tuesday. Ugh Monday indeed... On my second :coffee2: hoping to wake up soon!

But it is a good morning in WI land for me. Down 0.8 to 194.3 which is lower than my start of the month, so yay for that. And now that I'm FINALLY feeling so much better, I've got my gym bag packed and my iPod is charging here at work so I will be off for my first workout in over a month at 5pm when I walk out of this office. I'm actually really excited because it's also my first workout since I quit smoking, so it'll be good to be able to breathe "normally".

Kristi Great job on the .6!

Love It's all water weight. It will be gone in a couple of days.

Kris Great job! You are on the move!

Kukkie I'm proud of you for continuing to be smoke free! That's awesome! Great job on your .8!

Ona Thank you! Would you believe I'm still battling that allergy. I have eliminated some stuff, but still haven't found the culprit yet. I don't normally lose during TTOM. I'm skeered! Something weird is getting ready to happen. ;) Congrats on the pound! If you hold steady for another 3 days (I know you don't want that, but I'm just saying) that's a little over .3 per day. That's not bad, if you ask me. ;)

Sept 30th: 244.4

1: 243.2 Sodium 170%
2: 243.2 Sodium 370%
3. 241.2  Sodium 210%
4: 241.8 Sodium 387%

A little bounce back doesn't scare me.;)

I wounder if the sodium is correct though. A lot of it comes from this totally amazing Lamb Stew I had for brunch yesterday. I used the Fitday entry for "Lamb Stew: gravy type broth" because that is the only type of lamb stew in there. However, the lamb stew I had was in this wonderful, light, herbed broth. According Fitday 130% of my sodium intake is from that.

SwimGirl- Are you eating enough calories? Drinking enough water? Getting enough iron? Are your vitamins for women? Do they have iron and B-12? Hope you find a solution to your energy problem!

Love2b150- I have been looking for a “good time” in the bathroom for a couple of days! OH nobody will usually mention that but I need it! I even brewed a cleansing tea and I fell asleep with out drinking it. Thought about drinking it this morning after it steeped all night- but that may lead to regrets!

Fitkristi- Great downward movement!

MamaP- You are consistently going down! That is great!

Kukkie84- I love having my IPOD for working out, too. I reward myself with new songs. You deserve a couple… down in your weight, going back to exercise and stopping smoking. Treat yourself! And good luck!

OneMi- Three days at the same weight and then a loss can’t possibly be as frustrating as.. Lowest weight, up two pounds, down on pound up a pound, down 8 ounces. WHAT! I have cheated at all and it does that to me! Errrrr~!

OK- friends- I went up on Saturday. Although I stuck to my diet of 1200 calories I sat a lot because I was scrap booking with my girlfriends. I did spin Saturday morning but I guess that wasn’t enough to offset the rest of the sedentary day. Moved around a lot on Sunday- but I don’t exercise. I do too much every other day and have to get one day of rest. XOXO

I'm down .6 to 235 today...if I could only lose 2 more pounds by Friday I will have lost 40 pounds by my 40th birthday...wouldn't that be cool!?

Kukkie -- I love Mississauga too...we moved to Brampton because houses are so much more affordable. Good luck in convincing your DH that west is best! Congrats on your .8!

Star -- Awesome loss yesterday! I found fitday hard to adjust for custom recipes or variations...I'm using an app on my ipod called 'lose it' I'm not sure if there is an online equivalent.

Aimee -- I hope you got some rest last night and enjoyed your dinner with your Grandma.

Love -- Today I weighed in, realized I was wearing pj pants, took them off and weighed in again...they weighed .6! Sorry about your gain, but sounds like you had a great dinner!

Diana -- You are so steady lately! Congrats on another .2 :)

Kristi -- Congrats on your .6!

Stacy -- Don't worry about a small gain if you were sticking to your plan, it's likely just water and will come off quickly.

Kris -- Looks like you are still losing despite the earlier weigh in, great work!

Ona -- Down a pound, way to go!!

4: 237.2 +1.8 - The morning after the morning after! :tired: Not nearly enough calories or water yesterday. Just so very very tired...

Good Morning Girls!!

My date on Saturday went great!!! :val2: We had such a wonderful time! He is really sweet. And once I find a nice picture of him from his facebook, I'll post him on here. He's super cute!! :whoo: We stayed up all night talking. Literally, all night. I left his house at 7am. No sleep. My Sunday was ok but rough. I didn't eat nearly enough or have enough water.

I'm not worried about my scale this week. My body is reeling from the weekend. Once I get back to my normal routine, I'll be fine by the end of the week.

Hoping everyone had great weekends! BBL for personals!

Thanks Ona! Honestly, I'm not quite sure if it's that I've found a system, or that my body if finally recovering and TOM is gone. Either way, I'm enjoying it. You did awesome with 1 lb :cheer2:

Diana - thank you! It's been a lot easier to stay smoke-free this time around. Hubby's being really supportive too, he doesn't smoke in the car anymore and when he has his last one of the day he doesn't come right to bed because he knows I can't stand the smell anymore  It's amazing to think I used to smell like that too after a cigarette. And look at you, you're going to be out of the 90s in no time! :carrot:

Kristi great job on the 0.6 - how's the little one doing now? I hope the bump on her head has decreased by now.

Star I use Fitday as more of a guideline than a be all and end all... Did you make it yourself or have it out? If you made it, then you can create a customized food on Fitday, just a thought? Either way, you'll be back down in no time.

Stacy Thanks lady! I actually just downloaded a new podcast for my workout. It's a 30 min Latin fusion Interval mix and the beginning sounds pretty good so I'm excited to get my groove on :tread:

Angie Not likely to convince him anytime soon. He grew up in the Vaughan/Maple area *sighh* I have all faith in you that you will be able to reach that 40 gone!

Vixsin I'm sooo glad to hear that the date went well, cannot wait for you to post a picture! But you definitely need to catch up on some sleep girl.

Love You'll flush that out in no time. Sounds like you had a great dinner! Btw, I went to the dollar store yesterday and bought all sorts of things including the cutest glow in the dark casper-looking ghost to hang on the door, but can you believe I forgot to get the one thing I went for: THE MEASURING TAPE! Oh well, now I have a reason to go back and get more Halloween decorations

love2b - I don't notice that huge of a different with wet hair or dry hair, I wonder if hair type matters? My hair is long-ish, to the middle of my back.. for now, going to chop if off to above the shoulders at the end of the month! I always seem to be spreading myself thin - right now I'm working 2 jobs and helping out with a local charity.

Diana - The bf went to school to be a chef, so when he cooks for me it's amazing :) I am slowly learning though :D Congrats on that loss, still in awe you can lose during TTOM!

Kris - congrats on your .6!

Kukkie - congrats on your loss! How many days smoke-free? What's your favorite song these days? I find if I've got good music I actually look forward to exercise!

Ona - congrats on the pound :) Diana is right, that's over .3 pounds a day, which is pretty good!!

StarGetsFit - I used to love Fitday, but had so many issues finding foods, and was often entering them myself, which used to take forever! So I might doubt the sodium as well, even so.. that's a pretty impressive amount!

stacygee - I am not taking a multivitamin right now, they normally make me pretty sick. My pharmacist has recommended a kids multi, taking it twice a day. Thanks for the reminder on the vitamin B - I have a b-100 that is good, I will dig it out!

Angie - that would be very cool to hit 40 pounds lost by your 40th :) You can do it!!

Vixsin - the date sounds wonderful, and what a cutie! ;) I miss dating sometimes, talking all night, exploring and getting to know each other! Hope you recover soon!

MissKelly - I've missed you! Are you still swimming? Don't worry about the 208, knowing you - you'll bust through that in NO TIME!

I will BBL for my WI!

Vixsin -- I’m so glad you had a great time on your date! Hey, he’s cute!

Star -- Too funny about the cleanse supplement :rof3:

Ona -- Oh no, not tomatoes! I’d die…I love tomotoes. I’m crossing my fingers that maybe it’s a specific type of tomato. Thank you, I’m really proud of what I’ve done so far, even if I don’t make 40lbs by Friday I’ll celebrate what I’ve already accomplished without regret.

Cinm -- Wow an average of .5 pounds per day is pretty awesome! I’ll cross my fingers that you see Onederland any day now.

Janel -- If breakfast is tough for you could you buy some meal replacement shakes or prepare something the night before so that it’s easy to grab and run in the morning? Kukkie is right, your avatar is hot!

I just can't keep up with you girls!

I'm so bummed, I think I'm having an allergic reaction to raspberries. And it's a weird reaction at that. My finger tips get really hot, tingly and turn dark red. I'm not sure if it's from eating them, or handling them though. My first thought was handling them, but I never use both hands and ALL my finger. I just linked them this morning, so will be doing some experimenting.

I'm at 259.9, which is 4.9 lbs from my low. Sadness, but it's back to my Friday weight. 2 days of water stinks. Serves me right for not having more willpower to resist pizza Friday. ugh!

Kris good job on the .6 down :)

Kukkie good job on the .8 down :) Can't to wait to hear how your workout goes. I think you'll show those weights and machines who's boss now  Isn't it amazing what we smell after we quit. I thanked my husband for putting up with me and my smoking and drinking (loved red wine always had a glass), I don't know if I could have done the same. I have been free of everything since 2004. LOL, on the measuring tape, that's why I have to go to the Dollar Store with only a couple of dollars, it cracks me up to go in there for two things and come out with 30

Ona good job on the 1lb down, :crossed: that it doesn't stay for 3 days and when it changes the numbers keep moving down. Aw Ona V8 is my cheat for veggies, my Mom is allergic to tomatoes. I hate V8 but I love the benefits. I have to drink it ice cold and really fast. :) Let me come clean ... I initially said I was gonna eat a half of a cup of every thing which was perfectly fine. Well I started measuring with the yams (but a cup not half) then the kids started complaining ... are you measuring our food too? DH said measuring? I said only the yams :D so I put the cup in the sink which should have been a half cup and got that huge serving spoon and a spatula so you know the rest. ;)

Diana, I thank you for your support but I'm gonna have to kick myself on this one. I know this is all my eating, I have got another mouth in my mouth and extra teeth. I just finished eating about a 3rd or a 4th of a 8oz box of cheese nips = 29 crackers 150 calories. I don't know why I didn't just grab a handful which is just a little shy of a serving and leave that box in the kitchen ... no I had to bring it into the family room with me. ughhh And nothing weird is gonna happen you're doing great

Star are you able to add custom recipes into fitday. Then the next time you eat lamb stew the calories will be correct for your stew. :) Star that's funny nothing left inside you glad you are laughing  But are you hungrier? Just wondering :)

Stacy I think I would have drank that tea, but I understand you don't want to be in the bathroom all day. Oh we talk about it here we use  call it doing the poopy dance :). I think yours may just be water so it will be gone in no time  good for you on the spinning, I hear it's hard, good job. I brewed a cup of senna tea today too. Kukkie don't worry I am heeding your warning. Haven't had a cup since we last talked about it until now.

Angie good job on the .6 down :). What a great 40th birthday present to yourself, you can do it. :crossed: on 2lbs goooo awayyyyy  Oh my goodness that dinner was delicious, the only thing I was missing is roast w/gravy, potato salad/mashed potatoes, and greens. So we know I will have a gain after Thanksgiving. :) Angie didn't you and I talk about Thanksgiving? Well we know now that mine will be a disaster calorie wise if I don't measure

Vixsin, good for you on having the right attitude (I'm not worried about my scale this week. My body is reeling from the weekend. Once I get back to my normal routine, I'll be fine by the end of the week) but if this 2.4lbs stays around all week and keeps increasing I will :scream: I don't wanna wait until the end of the week or next week :tantrum: Glad your date went great :)

Hi Janel, I read this morning that a good breakfast gets our bodies going for the day ... though I sometimes miss it. I was surprised to see that a whole grain bagel and peanut butter will really fuel the body in the morning. You will burn the calories through out the day. It was on MSN's home page this morning now I can't find it. I took that to mean if I eat peanut butter early it will go away during the day :D I love peanut butter eventhough it sticks with you (I have some PB2 that I'll use). ... I'm with Kukkie really nice picture :)

Vixsin he is good looking ... eye candy :D

Kukkie ... I love endless conversation also, can't you tell  DH barely says anything, I must talk enough for both of us :D Kukkie eat the salad ... I should send you my number so you can text that to me at lunch time tomorrow (eat the salad). That would be great to get an alarm at my meal times that says ... Is that what you should be eating Rennie :D I know I'm silly, hehehe

MissKelly ... kicking 208 out of the way for ya

Aimee that's me too, I have got to stop volunteering for things. My daughter called me and said she won't get off until later tonight and this evening is a free evening for me so whoo feels so good to relax a little. :) I have been asked already to be VP of the PTO for next year since I am always doing something at the school, They said, well Rennie we're giving you a year to think about it. I just smiled. Good job on the .2 down :)

eclipse - maybe time to shake things up? You can do it!! I'm SO ready for you to hit 100 pounds lost!

Shylah - yup, it's basically a full time job to keep up with everyone! Sorry to hear about the raspberries, my body gets all swollen and sore when I do bread, not the same thing, but sooo uncomfortable!

Vixsin - I did just that! I went for a long walk hoping to get some things moving! And.. no sugar today :D I hope it "sticks" too, how long have you known him?

Kukkie - How was the salad?? And good call on ditching the chips, the salad is much better! Maybe not now, but in the morning you'll be glad you had it!

love2b - my secret to not losing my posts? I open two windows, type in one and read in the other! Works well :) What's PTO stand for? I don't doing extra things, just sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day! If we could work on expanding the day to 26-28 hours a day instead of 24, that would be swell!

Coondocks - thats so exciting about your trip! And glad TOM will be outta the way for your trip! Uhm, what's up with this weather? I got all dressed to go for a nice fall walk, and then I go outside and it's SUMMER? Fabulous!

I've been good today, the bf went thru the fridge and dumped out all the pop, threw out chips, so that really helped. And I'm peeing up a storm! I also got out for a walk today, wasn't sure what to do for exercise, but with the sun shining it seemed like a good decision to go outside.

Shylah I feel for you with the allergic reaction. I have been trying to figure out my culprit for probably 1 1/2 months now. Very frustrating! I hope you figure it out.

Matilda Stay focused! You can do it!

Starbrite I have noticed that too. Lose nicely then bounce back a little.

Essa Hi & Welcome!

Love Ha Ha about measuring the food in the measuring cups. I measure some of my foods too. Mostly the starch. This past weekend, I measured out my rice and put it on my plate. It was still in that same mold when I got to the table. My Mom looked at her plate then looked at my plate. She asked 'why is your rice like that?' It was so funny. I explained to her that I measured it. Then she started looking and comparing our plates. She was trying to see if I gave her more or what the difference was. It was so funny.

Lindsey You are doing a great job!

Coondocks I'm glad TTOM started and won't mess up your vacation. That happened to me when we had our last vacation.

Coondocks glad to see you  no that's not odd, I think we are one big family so when we don't check on one another it's a piece missing in our circle of the day, does that make sense. Glad TOM came before vacation. :)

Aimee, I am gonna have to try your way. The funny thing is if mozilla shuts down I can recover everything but if I hit the back but two many times to fast instead of it back spacing it back pages, screwy :?: Parent Teachers Organization. When we were young it was PTA don't know the reason for change. Trust me I know the feeling on not enough hours in the day  Wish the weather did that here the high today was 57. :) But I'd rather be chilly than hot :)

Diana is it funny how the rice will stay like that and it looks like a lot. I think I will cancel out the starches for Thanksgiving, I haven't been eating them too much anyway so this was a lesson learned. The thing is I thought I would feel over stuffed but I didn't. And I got my taste for what I hadn't had. My Mom is coming next weekend to do a full Thanksgiving spread because her grandchildren have requested it. I will surely not eat anything I am not supposed to ... PROMISING MYSELF I sure hope I can follow through :D

So I'm sitting here at my desk really struggling between eating the salad I brought with me or going upstairs to the vending machine and grabbing a bag of chips.... Bahhhhhhhh! Now that I've said it out loud, I'm going to eat my salad, because I know otherwise I'll just regret it and I have you ladies to keep me accountable.

Diana - oh trust me, it was terrible! We are talking chicken fettucini alfredo with garlic bread and coke, McDonald's for breakfast, omg... soo terrible. But I survived!

Rennie - Ah, I knew about the PTA, but I guess PTO also makes sense. I love the warm weather, we are about to hit a long cold winter, so it's a nice little gift :) I haven't used mozilla, safari is my normal, and if I hit back once, I lost every single thing!

Madame - and time consuming! :D

Alright ladies, time for bed! See you in the morning!

Hey all....

There are lots of new people, which is very exciting. Welcome everyone! I would love to do a lot of personals tonight, but just can't swing it.

Rennie -- Yes we talked about thanksgiving (and peanut butter!) and this weekend I'm making 'special' mashed potatoes for me (1/3 potato, 1/3 cauliflower, 1/3 celery root) and I'll eat a little stuffing, but I'll pass on bread and dessert. The bread will be tough, but desserts hold no charms for me, I'm more of a carb/salt nut. I'll check in here regularly for support!

Tonight I went out for an early bday dinner to a friend's place...had chicken & salad, 1 pita and a little piece of the homemade cake they made me (to be polite, lol) but I came home and weighed myself and I'm up 4lbs from this morning...4 POUNDS! Hopefully that's just normal daily fluctuations...I just polished off a bottle of water and now I'm drinking a senna tea to get things moving, ya know?

Okay, now I'm getting kind of scared, which sounds silly but I'm serious. I was down 1.6 today to 192.7 which in itself is fabulous and I was sooo happy to see it this morning. Now on to the scary part, back in September when I had a couple of great days of WI consecutively, I ended up with a 7 lb gain for reasons which I still cannot fathom. And I still haven't reached that low yet. So the question is, what does the future hold? I don't know, but I'm going to keep on doing what I've been doing and make sure my fingers are crossed for some continuing downward trends.

In other Kukkie news  - I ate the salad, yes I did. Thank you to everyone who was so supportive while I debated my choices. In my head, I knew what the healthier option was, I just didn't really feel like eating it, but I did anyway and it was fine. I also made it to the gym! Hooray for me! My first smoke-free workout was GREAT. I used that new podcast I got for interval walk/run which was intense in a good way and I made it through the entire thing without huffing and puffing, you know in an abnormal smoker way ;) What an amazing feeling.

Today I'll be trekking over to my parents place to ensure that my younger brother has not trashed the place  I'm sure he hasn't, but his standard of clean and my dad's standard of clean are really two different things and my dad gets back on Thursday. I'm going to pick up him up right after work since my brother will be at work and I can see the airport outside my office anyway.

I'll be back for personals later, I really should start working - from home, in my pjs :cheer: - but I just have to say, I didn't realize until now that we have a long weekend coming up! Yippee!

I guess my b!tching yesterday helped - 190.4, down .4 back to my all time low. I also weighed about 1.5 hours earlier than normal (up early to head out to a doctor appointment), so I probably would have been lower after one more pee . I was really up about 4 times over night peeing - so I guess I've been retaining water or something. Who knows?

Kukkie :highfive: - good job on making it to the gym. Sorry if I missed it, but did you just recently quit smoking? If so, congrats on another healthy choice!

Everyone else who's going down - :carrot::carrot::carrot:

I'm still at 269.2 :( . I am VERY ready for the numbers to start going down. Did 45 mins on the elliptic thingy today. Does anyone else sweat this much when you work out? It's quite disgusting actually. I'm not even that much out of breath, but there's sweat running down my face like a fountain's been turned on on my head  . Oh well...as long as that means weight coming off.

Also, was it on here where someone posted the video of the plank exercise? I am doing those several times a day, but: HOLY MOLY!! They are hellish!

MissKelly - we definitely have missed you around here! You'll be in Onederland before you know it.

Aimee - our bodies are really strange. One day you'll make great choices and gain and the next you're making horrible ones and losing. Makes me wonder sometimes why we try so hard, but I know better than that

Shylah - you may not have had the willpower to resist the pizza on Friday (and in my opinion, nobody should resist pizza ) but you did GREAT this morning resisting the breakfast tornados. Good for you! :carrot:

Essa Welcome indeed! And I agree with Vixsin, your signature quote rocks!

Love No wine either?! That's some power you have lady. Although to be quite honest, I've got two bottles here that I haven't touched in a long-ish time.. I'll have to think about why that is. And seriously, with the dollar store, that's a good idea! Only take as much money as needed for what you're actually going for. So hubby surprised me while I was at work yesterday, and put up my glow in the dark Casper looking dude, but he stopped glowing! Can you believe that?! I'm actually really disappointed. Ha, I wish I had somebody to text me too! That really made me laugh  Not silly at all  I wonder why they changed it from PTA to PTO. At our company, PTO means you're on Paid Time Off  Are you contemplating being the VP?

Diana When I was on LA - I used to measure things meticulously! Now I've got a pretty good sense of how much a portion should be. But I remember then, my family used to look at me really strangely and say but it's so little and I'd be like but that's all I need and my mom always used to say now you're making me feel like I'm eating too much. You're going to be out of the 90s in just a few days! Wowzers! But what's up with TOM sticking around so long this time?

MadameZombie It really is addictive. So much love and support here though, you can't go wrong!

Stacy I ate the salad! Yay me :cheer2:

Janel great job getting into the 80s. Hooray :carrot:

Ona Don't you worry! Just stick to the plan, and you'll see another whoosh soon. Remember to keep it in perspective. And I agree, Diana's dinner sounds good even though I don't eat chicken

Kristi look at you go! You'll get rid of that 8 for the month in no time.

Star looks like you did really well with your sodium intake yesterday! Great job.

Eclipse the scale listened to you. You're going to be out of the 90s any day now. And I'm hoping to follow right behind you!

Mama I know that sick feeling, just finally got over it. But good on you for still going to the gym. Just make sure you stay hydrated.

Cinci Thanks girl. Quitting is definitely hard, but to me it just makes sense that if you're going to try and get healthy, you may as well do it as an all-around process. The numbers will move soon, don't worry. Your muscles could be retaining water from the workout. And I agree with you planks are bloody hard. I did them yesterday at the gym and I sure can feel it. I will say, it gets easier as the weight comes off. Just keep at it, seeing the time you can hold it increase is just another measure of how well you're doing.

Coon omg, 9 more days. Have you started packing yet or thinking about what you're going to take? How are the lunch hour workouts going? I love your TOM commentary! But I'm very glad you won't have to contend with that during your vacation. :)

Vixsin so glad to hear you caught up on your sleep! Makes such a difference, doesn't it? Wow, you and new guy have the same bday too??? Isn't it crazy how that happens. And thank you, I'm proud of me too! I went to the gym for the first time yesterday in a while and wow it made all the difference in the world. Such an incredible feeling. I go to Goodlife and the one by my work is in a major grocery store, but on the second level. I used to be out of breath just climbing the stairs to get up there, but yesterday was no problem!

I hope I didn't miss anyone, but I probably did - so  to everyone else!

Hey everyone!

I'm up 2 pounds today, which is really ticking me off. I ate some food I wouldn't normally, but I was still around 1300-1400 calories, which should be absolutely fine. I'll hope that it's water and will whoosh away again quickly. I was kind of counting on a gain this weekend, with Thanksgiving and my birthday and TOM all due in about 4-5 days but this is too early!

Vix - Throwing down with TOM i see :D Nice loss for ya . . . and OMG your guy is adorable!

Angie - No worries on the 2, I'm guessing its a little more sodium than your used and will flush away in no time :) How are the inlcine walks going for you?

Hey everyone!! Thanks for all the warm welcomes

Vixsin - I am so glad to be here! I found the quote on a website and had to adopt it!

Well today I weighted in 1.8 lbs lighter than yesterday which is great but I think its because I didn't eat much of anything last night. I just need to keep a constant downward going on and I will be happy!

I have a pin up photoshoot in three weeks with some girl friends and would love to get a few lbs off before then (No one wants to immorialize themselves in pictures at 250 lbs :o ) Of course either way there will be lots of Spanks involved, haha.

Coondocks - A tornado is tortilla filled yumminess that is deep fried. My favorites are the cheesy pepperjack and the spicy shredded beef. They also make breakfast ones with egg, cheese and sausage or bacon. About 180 calories a piece. They aren't bad, but I'd have 2 and they wouldn't fill me until lunch :( You can even find them in the freezer section at grocery stores. El Monterey makes them.

I have to stay far, far away from them.

Raspberry allergy experiment commencing, will let you all know how it goes.

I officially have 100 pounds to make long term goal, yesterday I weighed in at 253.5 at curves. I've been determiner many times before and really want to make my goals. Madame yes this thread is addictive :D Isn't is great :)

Aimee, I was using IE forever but the school programs that I need to get on won't load because of some security issues, then I used safari but it was something I couldn't do but I don't remember what so my neighbor told me about mozilla. It's not bad and pretty fast, and it doesn't freeze YAY. It was cold again today on 37 degrees this morning I thought wow, chilly.

Angie, Ona and I were talking about cauliflower in the place of potatoes. Ladies does it really taste like potato? I want to try it. Maybe I can get my Mom to try it with me this weekend :) I am gonna portion everything out this weekend and see if I do better. I will definitely not eat any stuffing or rolls ... I may have to light a ton of candles. My Mom makes the best yeast rolls the house smells like a bakery. Angie that has got to be water I ate a slice of a slice of pound cake almost everyday for a week make with 2.5 sticks of real butter and I didn't have any problems but I counted in my calories for breakfast. And with all of that heavy stuff I ate on Sunday I only went up 1.2, then I ate wrong the next day and another 1.2 gain. So that has got to be water. If you haven't drank the tea I would surely wait and save it for another time (not that cup but you know what I mean)

Janel when did you start? What plan are you on? Good job on the 7lbs. :)

Aimee I am about to scream I just did again deleted everything again, ughhh:mad:

Diana good job on the .8 down, you are going to say hello to the 180's very soon :woohoo:

Ona like you tell me stay positive you can do it, just stay positive

Kristi good job on the .6 down and getting closer to your goal :)

Shylah good job on the .9 down and passing on the tornados :)

Star good job on your new low :)

Kukkie good job on the 1.6 down, :crossed: that there are no crazy spikes. At the law firm I use to work at PTO was paid time off too. Good for you on choosing the salad, and the gym. Congrats on day 18, you go Girl :high: That's so romantic sharing the same birthday :) Kukkie when I decided to change my life I had to do all or none in the bad habits area for me. I wished I had thought my eating was a bad habit, but maybe not because I wouldn't have met you wonderful ladies  Take the ghost back to the dollar store if it's not too far from you. They'll exchange it and you can see him glow through halloween. A text to say NOOO DON'T EAT THAT would be great. I'll tell you ;) I don't know about taking on that position I do so much already and I have something to share with everyone after I finish personals :D

eclipse good job on the .4 and getting back to your low. :)

Kris sorry you aren't feeling well, maybe you need a day of rest. Hope you feel better soon

Cinci good job on the elliptical your hard work has to pay off just give it time. I sweat alot also, I hate it. Sometimes it's just embarrassing, but on the other hand I do feel good about the great workout.

Coondocks good for you on getting back down to 177. :) It's almost like you need to check in twice a day here to keep up :)

Vixsin good job on the pound down :) Glad you're thinking positive

Essa good job on the 1.8 down, and the photo shoot sounds exciting and fun :)

Hi Cutie :welcome:

Jennie you know that won't last

OK my good news first I am 1.4lbs down so 166.8 today, went to Curves got a great workout. Went on an interview and got the job, so all of my volunteering has to stop some what. So Kukkie don't think I can take on the VP position at least not in my mind right now. But I still have time to think about it. I will be working nights at WaWa. This is a blessing to me since I have not worked in 5 years. I'm so happy, excited, nervous and scared all at the same time. Is that crazy?

Angie: I'm sure it's water weight and you will flush that out quickly. Sometimes we can stay w/i our boundaries but the type of food itself will just do a number on our bodies.

Janel: Congrats on the 7 pounds!!

Diana: You are getting so close to the 180's!! Congrats..I'm still fighting to get in there. I hope when I get home and weigh myself on Oct 15th, that I will be WELL into them!

Ona: Just keep trucking!! You are always such a motivator and source of strength for us here, so just keep at it and stay focused. Results will happen!

Star: congrats on a new low!!

Kukkie: Awesome results!! I bet you are just beaming with pride at all the consistent changes and success you are having with your life!

eclipse: I bet it feels nice being at your lowest!

Cinci: Ellipticals are tough; I hear ya on the sweating. After a good run, I look like I got stuck in a thunderstorm--it's so great to feel the sweat and be able to feel accomplished in my workout!

Coondocks: Congrats on 177!! I cannot wait to be (back) in the 180's myself!

Vixsin: Love your positivity!

As for me, I was 191.4 when I left my house on Sunday morning. It's going to be tough but I won't get to weigh in again until October 15th! I'm on a 2 week trip for work and missing my scale! I thought 3 days w/ no weigh in was tought--sheesh!!

Ona Think about your Sumo guy. Stay focused and stay the course.

Kristi .6 two days in a row. That's great!

Shylah Great job on the .9! I hope it keeps that downward movement. How did the Raspberry experiment go?

Star Hi

Kukkie Great job on the 1.6 pounds! I've always had a bad TTOM. Losing weight has made it even crazier. According to the Gyno, estrogen is stored in fat. As you lose weight estrogen is released in the the body. It causes a hormonal imbalance and can cause problems with TTOM. Estrogen is balanced with progesterone. I am using a progesterone cream, but I'm probably not using enough. TTOM used to be 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, and very heavy. The whole thing has improved since using the progesterone.

Eclipse Ha Ha! Great job. It worked!

Kris  I hope you feel better soon.

Cincimini I sweat a lot!

Coondocks Great job! I can't imagine getting into the 180's. :D

Vixsin TTOM can be very interesting. ;)

Angie Did you do your treadmill workout?

Essa Great job on the 1.8 pounds!

Cutie Welcome Back!

Stacygee Great job on getting to the 220's!

Janel I hope TTOM isn't too bad for you this month. I have enough problems, I couldn't imagine having endo. too.

Love Great job on the 1.4 pounds and the job! What will you be doing? What is WaWa?

Akelly I hope when you get home you are solidly in the 180's. That would be great for you!

Diana -- You are rocking TTOM! I'm so happy for you and the success you've had for the past week or so. You deserve it all and I hope it feels great. Yup, got my treadmill in today :)

Ona -- You are incredible, you do not go up and down, you go down or you hold strong where you are. You go :sumo: !!

Kristi -- Great job on the .6!

Shyla -- Down .9 is awesome. Way to go at breakfast, it probably wasn't easy, but what a great NSV and a great way to show yourself just how strong you can be when you set your mind to it.

Hi Star! :goodvibes

Kukkie -- Congrats on your big loss! Don't worry, your other gain was just a big fluke, you probably had some freaky sodium that you didn't even notice. Speaking of which, that could have been it for me today, but I don't know...I ate stuff I've eaten before without having a gain...who knows. Hey I work near the airport and close to a goodlife too...Etobicoke!

Jeri -- Congrats on getting back to your low!

Kris -- Hope you feel better soon. You are amazing too, I can't believe you did your workout when you felt like poop, great job! :getwell:

Cinci -- You're doing the right things, it will pay off soon on the scale.

Coondocks -- Woohoo for your 177.2! Take that TOM! :boxing: I just did an incline walk actually, slow pace but good incline. I really didn't feel like doing it, but I made myself feel guilty about watching the biggest loser and being too lazy to get on the darn treadmill. :dizzy:

Vixsin -- You are kicking butt and taking names too with TOM, way to go!

Essa -- Congrats on your 1.8!!! Whoosh! TGFS (Thank God for Spanx)

Cutie -- Welcome back to 3FC :welcome3:

Stacygee - Congratulations on getting to a new decade!!

Janel -- Yes, I try to weigh myself at the same time each day, first thing in the morning, after I pee. :) I find if I work out during TOM the cramps and bloating are so much milder.

Hi Jennie!

Rennie -- I tried the cauliflower mashed and while it didn't fool me, I liked it, and it DID fool my 5 year old :) Thank you, I hope it is water. I'm eating out again tomorrow night and then again on Friday, so I'm going to try to make the best decisions I can and not sweat the sodium. I'll try to up my water and do more cardio. I scheduled a birthday session with the trainer...I'm really rationing my last few sessions, but I think I'll need one by then. Congrats on your loss and on your new job!:hug:

Akelly -- No scale for weeks? My resolve would wear thin and I'd be at Walmart 'testing out' some scales. (Good advice -- buy the one with the lowest number :) )

Spent an hour at the gym tonight with my son, the MMA fighter, putting me through a workout. He said he took it easy on me because I'm his mom . . . ha ha. I hope I can get out of bed tomorrow and hope I'll be able to move my arms. According to my GWF I burned about 400 calories in that hour - 20 minutes on the treadmill, 6 minutes on the rowing machine, 5-6 minutes on the elliptical and the rest of it was working with weights. After my workout I had a good protein shake and a nice soak in the tub (which by the way is so much easier to do at 215 lbs and not 280 lbs). I expect my weight to be up tomorrow because my muscles are gonna be thirsty. We'll see. Gonna drink my Theraflu and head to bed soon. Plan to skip the gym in the morning because we have our annual fire drill tomorrow at work and I'll have to walk down 26 flights of stairs (unless I leave the building early).

Akelly good to see you

Jennie thank you I'm trying my best to get back to my 165, hoping by Friday :crossed:

Diana WaWa is a convenience store/gas station. I was told that I would be doing a little of everything, so cashiering, food prep, stocking etc. My Mom wasn't too thrilled because she thinks I should be home all of the time. I won't be gone every night and our children will be long asleep when I leave with the exception of our mouthy oldest :D

Thanks Angie  Let me know if upping the water with the sodium (eating out) helps. Enjoy your eating out, I don't get to that too often. And your time with your trainer.

Kris great job on your workout with your son. Hope you feel better soon and the theraflu helps  Honestly that walk down 26 flights of stairs sounds like a great challenge. You're doing great.

Thanks for the encouragement guys . I'm telling myself that even if the pounds are tumbling off just yet, it's still better to go to the gym and eat right than not to do it.

Today, much as I despise the thought . . . . I will be heading to the gym on my lunch hour. But, for now I hear a little man calling me so it's time for breakfast

Good Morning, All!

Tonight is my appointment to get my hair cut and colored. We also go to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. I will be eating a lighter lunch to compensate for my dinner. I also had a lower calorie day this week as a back up measure. ;) Hopefully the sodium won't stick around too long.

Calories for yesterday: 1405 + Morning Joe

Weigh In: 190.0 (TTOM is still going, but it is showing signs that it is giving up the fight. Last night I started back on the Progesterone.)

Down: .8

Good morning ladies! Long day yesterday 8am-7:30pm, and I was in bed by 9:15 and asleep by 9:30! No internet at work for me :( And yesterday I talked the ENTIRE time - I was teaching and man, it was a long one!

Kukkie - Happy to hear about your salad choice :) And I don't think your scale will jump up this time, a little 3FC magic ;) Congrats on your 19 days of being smoke free!

Coondocks - people tell me that last year was a mild winter! We don't want TOO mild or it'll end up like Vancouver where the streets are a mess, -10 is perfect! Congrats on 177 :D (Just noticed you posted this morning, with TOM starting and a salty dinner? 178 isn't too bad!)I am a pre-planner myself, the bf leaves for Whistler in 1 week today and I am going to pull out the suitcase later today! I leave for Saskatoon on the 16th, and I've already started shopping - I have to buy dressy clothes. AND I'm starting to worry since it's "last minute"

Rennie - I am not ready for summer to be over with - I never am, so 37 sounds very very cold right now! Oh no! It doesn't look like you lost everything? Hopefully not! I'm telling yah, my two window thing works best! Congrats on the new job!! We are hiring at my work right now, if you lived closer you could come work with me!

Diana - getting pretty close to breaking into those 180's!! Woohoo!!

No WI yesterday morning for me, I was late, couldn't go to the bathroom, and figured I'd try and get it in this morning! I am running a tiny bit late already, so I'm going to go get ready for work and hopefully have time to weigh and post!

Good Morning!

Great job on the Losses everyone!!

This morning I was 1 lb over from yesterday but still down .6 lbs from monday, as long as I dont ever go back into 250 territory ever again I will be happy. I was doing some experimental baking last night for a potluck today and indulged in testing a little bit :o I should know better and get one of my neightbors to do the testing.

Good morning all!

Well raspberry allergy experiment failed. No burning/ tingling hands. So just going to keep on the lookout for what it could be. AND I will still enjoy my raspberries :)

no change this morning. Had a low calorie day yesterday at 1400 cals and tons of water. No work today, so I know my water will be slacking a bit. :( I'm gearing up to go for my first run / walk outside. I have always used a treadmill to run, never in public. Eep!

FitKristi - you are on a run girl. you will see the 230's in no time.

Ona - grats on the 1.5 lbs!

Aimee - your days scare me! I couldn't last that long lol

Coon - Not too shabby for a TOM and salty dinner weigh in. How many days until your vacation again ? There wasn't a countdown in that post ;)

Dianna - YAY for the hair appt! Will it be something new or just a touch up? It seems like yesterday you hit 199 and now you are just about out of the 90's.

Stabrite - scales are tricksy. keep up the good fight.

Love - grats on the job and the loss

Angie - Cauliflower sub for anything doesn't fool me. It's the consistency and the slight off taste. YUCK.

I think I'm just still not a morning person, I really doubt I'll ever be one :p and HOLY fantastic weigh in for you today :carrot::carrot:

Aimee - I'm over the cold winters, I was spoiled living in Florida. Perhaps Vancouver is the right place for me ;) I think it's funny that your BF is leaving for whistler same time I'm leaving for Vancouver. I've tried so hard to be a plan ahead person for trips - it never works, ever. So i wing it - but the shopping for it . . . always fun :) I agree though, even with a Toddler your days seem draining, kudos for being able to keep up that pace lady :D

Angie - whatever works to motivate you is good I think, I've noticed I get that surge of get up and go watching biggest looser, I end up doing some weights durring the show - its something :) Keep at it!!

Kristi - You'll be out of the 240's before you know it you're having such a fantastic month already way to go !! :carrot::carrot:

Diana - 180's are right in your grasp! I'm so happy for you and so inspired! Look at you with your planning, so great Congrats to you and kick the 190's in the butt! :boxing:

8 days . . . it's still running threw my head . . . 8 DAYS!
Got a sweet-ish slightly intoxicated call from SHaun last night up in Nanimo for some training thing. He went on to tell me he was sitting at a pub, watching the sunset over the mountains and how we HAVE to take a ferry up there - of course I'm not gonna argue that. Mountains, water and beer . . Im all for it. Then comes the sweet-ish almost make me gag
"9 days and your here, can you believe it. I kinda hope you just stay and send for Jack. You're my favourite person in the world I love you so much and I wish you were here to share all this with me"
Im not at all the sappy kind of girl, but that really got to me :o

Oy vay! I would just like to say that I absolutely saw this coming... I'm up 4 lbs today to 196.7 :( How sad.

Although, I'm going to try to be positive here. This could be some water retention. Even though I got all of it in, I didn't have a single drop of water until 4pm. That's bad. I also just remembered went back and checked - I tend to gain two days after a workout instead of the day after. Hmm, I wonder if I just spazzed for no reason.

Aimee Just curious, you mentioned before that you were working two jobs and you mentioned that you were teaching yesterday - is that what your second job is? Sorry if this is me being slow, my coffee didn't come until later this morning

Ona look at that drop! ;)

Kristi you're almost there

Stacy - don't let it get you down, just beat that scale back down instead.

Ona - kudos to you for getting up that early. I don't get to sleep until midnight, i'd be dead at 5 am!

Kukkie - sorry for the jump, but between the working out correlation you had and the late water, see what the next 2 days bring.

Vixsin - holy cow girl! show that fat who's boss *dance*

Star - grats on the .4 drop.

Just got back in from my first neighborhood jog. I do all my jogging on my treadmill and let me tell you, it didn't prepare me at all for being outside. So much harder on the knees and feet. I ended up restarting C25K W1/D1 (i'm at 30 minutes straight jogging on my treadmill). Oy!

But yesterday, I have no idea what happened, I just... I don't know, forgot? I think I took my pills with my coffee because they were on my desk and my coffee was handy. Who knows?!

Back to my desk from the fire drill . . . my legs feel like jello. Feel like they did last night after my workout. Took me about 4 minutes to go down 27 flights of stairs (I'm on the 26th floor and came out on the parking garage level, so that means I walked 27 flights). This is the first year I wasn't dreading the fire drill. :)

Our group has really grown, I hope I don't leave anyone out.

Eclipse ~ congrats on the .4 down. Keep up the good work, you'll see a new decade soon.

Vixsin ~ Planks are awful. 5 seconds is not bad to start. I think I could hold it about 8 seconds at first, I'm up to 15 seconds, 15 long miserable seconds.

Kukkie ~ I bet your gain is from the workout. I expected my weight to be up today after last night's workout, I wonder if I'll see a gain tomorrow like you did. Either way, we know we are doing the right things and it will be gone soon.

Aimee ~ hope today is a little less hectic for you.

Star ~ my scale likes to play games with me too. Those kinds of games are not fun.

Love ~ congrats on the new job.

Janel ~ Keep up the good work.

Kristi ~ you'll be breaking into a new decade in no time. :)

Diana ~ have fun on your night out. I'm bet you see the 180s by the end of the week.

Ona ~ 1 lb down. woo hoo!

Cinci ~ I'm sure the scale will start moving soon. Just keep doing what you're doing and the reward will come.

AKelly ~ I hate going without a scale. When I visited my daughter in March-April I was 11 days without a scale and it was awful. I even weighed myself at a doctor appointment she had while I was there. When I went back in July I convinced her that she really needed a scale, so she bought one. :)

CutieCourt, Jennie, Angie ~

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks Mama - really curious to see what the next couple days has in store for me.

 boogie! Welcome to the group! Looks like you've had a good start to the month too!

And oh goodness, I can't believe I left you out this morning Love! Congratulations on the new job! I don't know if you already mentioned this, but how long has it been since you've been at home not working? That's got to be exciting and scary at the same time. But I think there's an independence to it, personally! I'm excited for you and now I totally understand why you may not want to take on the extra position with the PTO. Did I read correctly though, are you going to be working nights? When are you going to sleep?!

Ona Thank you! Great job on the 1.5 pounds. You are moving now!

Fitkristi You are very consistent.

Shylah I am working to grow it out for a new cut. She will probably be trimming here and there and touch up color.

Coondocks Thank you. He sounds like a sweetie.

Vixsin Great job on the 3 pounds!

Star How do you feel the next day after eating less sodium. Are you less bloated?

Kukkie Hi  Thanks!

Kris Great job on your .2!

Eclipse Woo Hoo! I hope you make it to the 180's tomorrow. I don't think I will make it because I will be eating a higher sodium meal tonight. You can test the waters for me and tell me how good it is being in the 180's!

k-Boogie Hi and Welcome! You are off to a great start!

Love Hi  I hope you enjoy the new job!

Ona - congrats on your 1.5! This is definitely a new pattern!

Shylah - my days scare ME sometimes! Today was a nice short one 8:30am-2:30pm :) How did the run outside go? I really am terrible with drinking water, I prefer to drink ANYTHING but water!

Coondocks - I wish I were going to Whistler! They send every single member of management BUT ME!! No fair! I don't know if I do keep up the pace, eventually your body takes over! Plus the bf took me out for dinner last night so I didn't have to cook! That's a nice phone call, very sweet :D

Kukkie - my first job is Cosmetics Assistant Manager, and the second is Central Trainer, so when employee's get hired I do all their training - which is 3 days. Sorry to hear about your gain :( Bad scale! Bad! :club:

Kris - today was less hectic :) Great job on the fire drill! Down is much better than going UP!

I can't keep up! So many people! Hi to everyone I've missed!

As for my WI? Down .2, at least it's consistent? Tomorrow should be lower because I missed lunch by accident. Hate that, because now I'm sooooooooooooo hungry!!

Bah! I'm up .4 again today, but ate on plan & did cardio yesterday. I think TOM planned a sneak attack on me...due on Friday so I hadn't expected to slow down yet.

Hi Essa :) Hi Stacy :) Hi Matilda :) Hi Janel :) Hi Jeri :)

Rennie -- I eat out often for work, meetings and entertaining out of town guests. This is a bad week for it though since it's my pre-TOM week and I don't normally make the best choices (see my note up top...lol)

Starbrite -- congrats on your .9 :)

Coon -- Yes, that's the phrase I wanted 'sneaky bugger'!! Damn TOM, hasn't even arrived yet and I'm sick of him.

Diana -- congrats on your .8!

Aimee -- I always lose my voice when I have to deliver training or host meetings all day...that's exhausting work too.

Ona -- :carrot: Whoosh! Congrats on your 1.5!! I lost it today, poor decisions, but tomorrow is a new day, I'll do better.

Kristi -- congrats on your .8 :)

Shyla -- I wonder if your reaction might have been to something on the raspberries, like a pesticide or something? They are not easy to wash.

Vixsin -- You go supergirl! Give TOM a kick for me too please!!

Star -- congrats on your .4!

Kukkie -- sorry about your gain! I know it's frustrating.

Kris -- sorry you are still feeling under the weather, congrats on your .4

Kboogie -- :welcome2:

Jennie -- congrats on your 1.4!!

Wow! This thread is blowing up! I'll need to quit one of my jobs to keep up!

I don't really have time for personals, but I'm reading, so Great Job on those losses! And those of you who are experiencing set backs: KEEP FIGHTING!!!

Diana The only difference I feel with lower sodium is I've had headaches the past two days.:dunno:

Mornings lovely people ! Think the scale is playing hide and seek with me ! Had a good weigh in yesterday - lost 0.9, now today back up 0.4 ! I do find it frustrating, but am resigned to it now. After 70lbs lost I guess I need to shake things up a bit and trick the old trickster into losing :)
Very awe inspired at those of you who have time to mention everyone's name. It really brightens my day - I'm so sorry not to be able to do the same, but my ,<3 is with you all.
Keep going - there are some awesome losses out there !

1:230.8 - seems like I will never leave the 230's
2:228.4- (-2.4) Oh yes !!
3:228.8 (+0.4) Normal after a whoosh
4:229.1 (+0.3) :(
5:229.5 (+0.4)
6:228.6 (-0.9) :)
7:229 (+0.4) WTH ????

First positive WI this month: -1.2 :woohoo: :carrot::carrot::carrot:

I really hope it sticks, now that TOM is gone and I've been getting to the gym every day.

starbrite - I hear you. I don't know how people do it, getting back to everyone personally  . You are doing great and despite the ups and downs your total is negative. THat's all that matters ;-)

MamaP - good job on the stairs! I remember being in New York a few years ago and there was a (false) fire alarm at the hotel - at 3:30am!! Had to walk down 25 flights of stairs...and then back UP b/c the elevators didn't work yet :yikes: . Let's just say it was NOT a pretty sight

Everyone else - keep up the good work!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Calories for yesterday: 1525 (high sodium meal)

Weigh In: 190.6 (still TTOM, but it's ending, hopefully today will be it's last day)

Up: .6

Angie - Have you ever heard that if you hang around a group of women long enough all your TOM's will be the same? Think that works online? ;) I managed to shrink 2 days of information down to 1 - it was exhausting. The bf doesn't really understand how exhausting it is to talk for 8 hours straight! By the end of my day on Tuesday I couldn't focus my eyes :dizzy: .4 could just be going to the bathroom before your WI, it'll be gone soon :)

StarGetsFit - I was thinking the same! I think if I got an internet connection at work, perhaps I could keep up!

starbrite - it's definitely a lot of work keeping up with everyone, but I think most of us have been posting together for a few months at least, so eventually it becomes easier :) .4 isn't too bad, I'm sure it'll be gone in a day or two :)

cincimini - woohoo congrats on your 1.2!!

Diana - I am curious what your pre-TOM weight was and if you managed to actually lose during it?

I will weigh in later, but won't likely have time to come back to update.. so I'll be back after work! Have a wonderful day!!

Sept 30: 244.4

1: 244.3 -.1
2: 242.7 -1.6
3: 243.9 +1.2
4: 243.3 -.6
5: 242.7 -.6
6: 241.9 -.8
7: 241.3 -.5

Because I "complained" that I only gained or lost bigger numbers instead of .5 or .6, my body decided to switch it up on me! Always keeping me guessing!

Oh, and I went to O'Charleys last night and was so sad that I couldn't have my favorite (pecan crusted chicken tender salad) because it is SUPER high calorie for a salad...until I realized I could just ask for it with grilled chicken and it would probably cut the calories BIG time. So I asked for grilled chicken and no bleu cheese and ate the heck out of it - I didn't even miss the greasy chicken (at all!).

Good Morning Everyone!!

Diana,I think you did good to watch your sodium intake and to only have a small gain from it.You're learning patterns off what you can eat to make you retain water and gain. That information will help you to keep the weight off for life :hug:simply fantastic :)

Aimee,have a wonderful day

Angie stay focused and try to make good choices during these trying times. You can do it.!!!

Kristi, great job on the decision making at the restaurant.

:woohoo:We are doing this thing people :woohoo:

Ona - Check you OUT lady! Fantastic weigh in Rock On!! :carrot:

Aimee - I was thinking the same thing about TOM yesterday, I wonder if that really dose apply to online female majority communities :p
Why all the managers but you?? That's just not kosher!

For me today I am in shock . . . . 176! TOM is being nice this month, then again i still have a few days left, but 176? I've never been 176 . . thats only 2 lbs away from overweight instead of obese. if that's not motivation to hit the gym at lunch I don't know what is :) :)

Off to work I go
