It was for me. I went from a size 8 to a size 6 shoe. It's GREAT! Size 6's are easy to find in stores!

I went from an 11W to a 9.5 standard width. It can be done!

I have definitely gone down in size since I've lost the weight I have. I've gone from a 9 to an 8.5

Wow, really?? Now I'm trying to remember what shoe size I was in H.S. since that is my dream goal.

I was actually thrilled that weight gain had me in a near medium shoe! Now I'm back to one foot being a AAA and the other a AAAA.

These gunboats were meant for a much slimmer person!

I like my narrow feet, don't get me wrong. My feet and size 4.5 fingers have always been my favorite body parts. HOWEVER, have you ever tried to find a AAAA shoe?

I've gone from an 8.5 to an 8 in 30lbs but I don't think it'll go any further as I wore an 8 when I was super skinny. Good luck in your search for shrinking feet!

Omg! I'm a size 2-3, uk size. I hope mine don't shrink! They'll disappear! I'm shocked I could balance on them at my largest tbh!

Oh gosh I would love to lose a size or two in my feet! I wear a 10 now. Do you know how hard it is to find cute size 10 shoes on a clearance rack?!

I hadn't even thought about losing a shoe size or two!
It can be hard to find even non-cute non-clearance size 10/11 shoes that fit!!

I've been looking for a pair of nude pumps for FOREVER. I found the exact perfect pair at an AnnTaylor yesterday. When I asked if they came in larger sizes, the sales girl says "Oh for sure, they go ALL the way up to like a 9 and a half!!" boo!

Very, very narrow. AA is considered a typical "narrow". AAA and obviously AAAA go beyond narrow and generally have to be special ordered...if you want your shoes to stay put.

And clearance racks? Hah!

Like I said...I was actually liking my almost medium foot.

But I wouldn't change a thing!

I mentioned this to someone at work, because my other friend at work went down to a size 6 from a 8 when she lost a lot of weight, and he used to work at a shoe store and he knew why.

He said that because we have less weight on us pressing down on our feet, the natural arch of the foot comes back, thus shrinking the foot. The heavier we are, the more spread out it becomes.

I've lost almost 40 lbs and I haven't really bought shoes in a while but at my heighest weight I was inching up to a 9 and a half. Now I could wear an 8 I would think, some of the 8 and a half's I have are getting loose and floppy on my feet (I lost a shoe that was a 9 as I was running for the skytrain! Had to go back and get it haha)
