I ran a lot when I was younger, but then the running went out the window along with my good eating habits and self esteem when I was about 21. I ran track in high school and ran for fun- I recall running everywhere, just because I could. I've been running off and on for the past few years again, nothing serious, well serious by my standard for myself....but I was running around 3/4 miles for cardio on the treadmill and now and again around my neighborhood, I recently took my running back outside to a trail and it's been going well- today I ran 8 miles on a local trail....I actually could have kept running longer- maybe for another mile or two, but it was getting dark and my nipples were starting to burn- haha...yeah the joys of running......I think the sports bra I was wearing today might be a tad to big- my boobies are shrinking so much, typical!
Anyway, those 8 miles felt great, physically and mentally and just knowing that I did it and I'm back running again and feeling strong and healthy and much slimmer.......it feels flippin' awesome! I'm doing a 10k this weekend and I plan on doing a half marathon next March.....I'm also taking some surfing lessons in the next couple of weeks when I go to the beach....I'm really stepping outside of my comfort zone with a lot of things, but it's time and I need the challenge.
