Default Chili

Awesome and easy chili

1 1/2 lbs ground meat browned and rinsed
2 cans kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 medium jar salsa
1 can diced tomatos
ground cumin to taste
chili powder to taste

just dump it in and let is simmer for about 20 min.

I am from the south so I add cayenne pepper. I don't recommend this if you can't tolerate pepper.

I'm going to make it for supper tonight. I had thawed some hamburger and I have the beans and salsa. Just missing the cumin. Hope it won't make a big difference.

Definitely adding in the onions and garlic, and maybe even a small mild pepper.

Cha cha cha! Thanks!

And if you are gonna put fresh cilantro in it you need the juice of a lime, it makes the chili so good you'll want to cry, put a cup of plain hot cooked rice in the botton of your bowl and it is sooooo good! Yummy!

Smile Yummy

I made this the other day with ground turkey and I didn't have the cumin at the time - so I used a pack of sloppy joe mix - and it was SOOOOO good that I blew my diet for the day. Then I finished it the next day. Now my Dad wants the recipe - he loves the taste of salsa.

I came up with about 8 - 1 cup servings with 240 cal/cup, 10g of fiber and 4g of fat when made with a pound of ground turkey.

Thanks, Kempyd!
