Unhappy Here we go again

I just found out yesterday that I'm going to need another ankle surgery. This time they are going to fuse the joint, clean up the tendon that already had surgery, and lengthen my heal cord. I'll be in a cast for 3 months - minimum.

Great time to start a new life plan huh?

That's quite a rehab you're going to have! That really sucks, just because it gets in the way of virtually everything.

I wish you a speedy recovery!

Speedy recovery to you!! Think of the positive, you're ankle will be healing, and you have 3 months to focus on nutrition Ok I know I sound like the annoying optomist but I can't help it

:hugs:

hope a speedy recovery for you! and this is a great time to start a new lifestyle! right now your feeling down in the dumps because the timing is bad, but you can still eat right, and while you are limited in the exercise situation, you can still pull out those dumbbells and work out those arms!!

eating healthy is very important in any diet, as you wont lose anything eating bad stuff, so while you can't work out you can still start a healthy lifestyle by eating chooses.

I remember reading a story somewhere about a man who was overweight but in a wheelchair- totally paralyzed but managed to lose 100 lbs through diet ALONE.

Do your best to stay on plan and keep yourself busy so you don't snack out of boredom. Take up a hobby- crochet uses both hands AND you do it sitting down

wishing you a speedy recovery as well. I agree with the others you can still focus on nutrition, and wanted to also throw in you can still workout your upper body with weights sitting and with punches, etc...
