I know I'm early, but if I don't post them tonight, I won't be able to until tomorrow night...
Good luck everyone!!!
Here is where you get to know your team mates! Just a reminder, chatting is not required to be part of the challenge, although it is strongly suggested!
Here is your Team:

uhg... wow.. So I started that time of the month and I decided I just couldn't go to the gym.. it was a sleep until 1pm kinda day and then chicken noodle soup for lunch...
then I made the wise decision to drive down to my parents house and make enchiladas.. I had one.. ONE and I'm stuffed. I really want to go to the gym but my body is so blah...
09-13-2010, 01:14 AM
I just need a hug. it's been a really long week, and on to the next really long week. I did not meet my exercise goals this week for the first time in MONTHS. I feel horrible about it. I am back on the wagon and moving on, but right now I feel so tired and lousy (and sick with some kind of virus) and I'm really worried I'm going to put back on the little weight I have lost (11lbs in total). I know I want to move on, but right now it seems like a dead end.
09-13-2010, 04:10 AM
Crazy to think that we are on week 3 already! OH MY.. it will get better just keep truckin along
is there going to be another challenge after this one? like back to back? how much time is usually between each one? I'm asking because I'm going to start school up again and when our challenge is over I'm afraid of falling off the wagon with school thrown in the mix...
09-13-2010, 07:58 AM
Jessica - time IS flying! not sure how that happens, but it does...
09-13-2010, 09:45 AM
I am in a great mood this morning! Ready to lose some weight! I'm about to do the morning bus stop drop and hopefully (fingers crossed) walk with the neighbors as we didn't walk at all last week, I still got some exercise in but it's nice to walk and talk.
Not much on tap today, 3 weeks until school starts but starting next week I'll have to start doing some stuff to prepare for classes, so this is my last week to get my own stuff done. I will finish the 30 day shred today (it will have taken me about 40 days but I wouldn't have made it past day 7 if I didn't take some breaks). I'm supposed to finish week 5 of c25k on thursday with a 20 min run so we'll have to see, tues is (2) eight minute runs with a 3 or 5 min walk break. so if I can't do 20 I will do 10 with a break and not stress. I'm trying to not let me perfectionism invaid my exercise in fear that if I can't do it perfectly I won't do it at all.
Have a great day!
09-13-2010, 03:07 PM
Hey everyone... Hope all is well.
Last week was super busy and this wont be much better until about Wednesday when things slow down. Had a good weekend food wise... I guess thats one thing about being busy. Am learning and doing a better job with if you splurge a little here (french toast) just cut back a little there... kinda stuff. Seems to be working down a bit more this morning.
Just had some curry rice noodles for lunch... yum!
Oh! and found out yesterday my fiance is buying me a treadmill for my birthday... SUPER pumped about that!!
09-14-2010, 10:45 AM
Okay so I am very jealous of ya'll with busy lives. I am so bored right now, I check these boards all day long! I know that will change in about 3 weeks when I'll be full force into school. You would think I would be busy with a 2 year old, but w/o his brother here he just lounges about all day watching movies (I'm not worried about his lazy lifestyle, he can be full force).
I didn't realize I was the biggest loser from our team this week! I must confess that I used my wed. weigh in weight though, I am trying not to weigh all the time due to flux. so Sundays are not a good weigh in day for me, the "weekend water weight" gets to me. So Wed. is my no excuse true blue in your face weight. Of course with TOM right around the corner, after finding out I was biggest loser, I promptly binged on animal crackers, I'll be easy on myself though (maybe I'm too easy on myself) it could have been a lot worse!
09-14-2010, 11:34 AM
Congrats on being the biggest loser Ellie! You did a good job. Animal crackers aren't a bad choice. I'm sure you'll be fine! What are you goign to school for? Or are you a teacher?
09-14-2010, 08:25 PM
All I have to say is that this week has been BAD for eating ... ugh. I need to knock it off! lol
09-15-2010, 12:06 AM
Congrats Ellie!!
This has been a hard week for me as well. I have disc problems with my back and I think my back is on the verge of going out again  I have been in bed all day long resting it. I have 4 more photo shoots this week so I am really worried that I will get stuck having to reschedule some of them if my back gives out.
Weight loss for me has stayed pretty steady lately. So, thats a good thing. This weekend, I hosted a baby shower for my best friend and it was the first time that I have seen most of those people since I have lost any weight. It was really nice to see that they saw a difference in my appearance. It really has taken a while for me to even see a difference. 55 lbs down and I can FINALLY see it! :)
Good luck to everyone this week!!:carrot:
09-15-2010, 08:31 AM
I’m going to join in what seems to be the common consensus of having a bad week. I haven’t been to work in a few days as my problem with Chronic Fatigue is really flaring up at the moment. Little activity and copious amounts of chocolate are bound to play havoc with the scale.
Southernbelle102 – I’m glad people started to see a difference. Hopefully that gives you added motivation.
AllyBride2011 – Yay for the treadmill. Have you given your fiancé any hints as to which one you want?
09-15-2010, 11:41 AM
I got my treadmill!!
After my fiance let the cat out of the bag that I was getting one... he also told me that he was stuck choosing between two. We went out that night and looked but felt unsure... so we went out looking again on Monday to several stores and found the perfect one. It was on sale! and super sturdy plus it has all the bells and whistles I could want. I walked on it last night while I was watching my shows and it was great. Feels just as nice as the gym ones. Its a Livestrong 9.9 from Dicks. I <3 it!! Yay for not having to go out in the snow in the morning to work out. Hoooray I've done that for years... so excited!
Eating has been going pretty good for me this week... I've been super busy at work which helps. Went grocery shopping on Sunday which also helps. Am cooking a low point potato soup in my crockpot right now. And am having a hankering for chicken broccoli and rice tonight. Ever tried basmati rice? Its awesome!! Hope things start looking up for those of you having a bad week. Lets kick some butt!
09-15-2010, 12:12 PM
AllyBride2011~ Congrats on the new treadmill!!! Funny that you want chicken, rice and broccoli as I made a WW casserole last night that had chicken, rice, broccoli, rstd. red peppers, onions, and cheezy goodness. I was surprised at how good it was!!!
oOPeanutOo~ I'm sorry to hear you're not doin well this week  Hope things turn around!
southernbelle102~ Oh no! How is your back??? Lots of  CONGRATS on 55lbs., that's AWESOME!!!
BassAckwards~ How are you doing today?
ellie6388~ Congrats on being the BIGGEST LOSER this week!!! What are you going to school for?
JessicaRT~ There'll be a week off in-between and then the next challenge will start. I will put up a sign up thread for the next challenge at the end of the 5th week of this challenge. How is TOM treating you?
dcapulet~:hug::hug: How are you doing???
Sorry I've been MIA, I've been super busy with all of the results stuff and hiking with the 7th grade on Monday, then my mom's computer wouldn't work last night... it's been a bit of a crazy week! I saw a new number on the scale this morning which has me excited as the number I saw yesterday was also new and something I was happy with, now I'm REALLY happy. It's good to finally start seeing the numbers move as I have been kicking my own butt for weeks now, with only the one Olive Garden slip!!! I got my gym membership last night as the chilly weather is arriving, and as much as I like walking in 40-50 degree weather, I know the 0-30 degree weather is not far away, and I do NOT like walking in that. I'm hoping I can get myself going to the gym enough so that it's no big deal when I have to switch from outside to full time gym.
Our kids are learning about calories right now, so I'm going to listen in... Have a happy HUMP DAY!!! Closer to Friday!!!
09-16-2010, 10:35 AM
Had a super hungry day yesterday... what the heck causes those. I usually get one reallly hungry day about once every two weeks I'd say. Even when I eat a normal dinner that would usually make me stuffed I'm still starving. Unfortunately yesterday was my hungry day and also a day off from work so I didn't have my normal routine. I'm sure I ate more than normal but when I realized it was getting to be too much I removed myself from the house and went shopping at the mall. This morning I did gain like 1.5 lbs since yesterday but I don't believe it. Today I'm gonna focus on getting all my water in... maybe I was thirsty instead of hungry?
I made a new recipe that is on here for potato soup...YUM-O! it's super easy too you just do a bag of frozen hash browns, chicken stock, water, and country gravy powder, salt and pepper. I made it in the crock pot and it made tons!! I highly recommend it.
09-16-2010, 10:37 AM
Ally- that treadmill sounds fun, I had a cheap one that the track was really narrow so it was hard to run on without stepping on my own feet. When is your b-day?
Peanut- HUGS!! Do you take anything for the CFS?
Bass- we all do it, just make it the exception not the rule.
Southern- sorry about the back problems, does the weight loss seem to help? I know it did for me, I thought my back pain was from lugging around a baby in a baby carrier, my mom so kindly suggested that maybe it was my own weight... and she was right... grrr I hate when that happens.
Kim- I'm glad it seems to be going well for you!!! That casserole sounds great! Do you have the recipe?
Does have one have a good recipe they would like to share? I'm calorie counting so I'm always looking for actually meal recipes, instead of just sandwich, salad, or chicken breast.
Me- I'm in nursing school for those that asked. I've got 2 days left on 30 day shred (that will have taken me about 40), I'm just glad I did it, I definitly recomend it, it's tough but do able with the modifications. I've been doing that and c25k. So next week, I'll be trying out some new videos on exercise tv for my strength training for now. Went out to dinner last night, got the chicken lite plate- chargrilled chicken breast, broccoli and fruit, and a banana nut muffin (I only ate 1/2 of the muffin plus a few bites of other desserts at the table and 2 crackers with a tiny bit of tuna dip grrrr) it's the bites I can't resist that kill me! but I count (most) of them. I've got a meeting at my 5 y/o school, then I'm taking him lunch- Mcdonalds, run and 30ds, plus some other errands.
09-16-2010, 12:42 PM
so in the middle of my TOM i weighed in at 194.. now at the end of TOM... im up to 197!! UHG.. I wasn't planning on going to the gym today since I work 11-8, but I have to go.. I'm gonna be sooo good these next 3-4 days for Sunday weigh in!
09-16-2010, 12:46 PM
ellie6388~ I have a gazillion recipes! Let me know what kind of main ingredients your looking to use (chicken, beef, pasta, etc.) and if you like spicy or not and I'll look some up on eTools and throw some together from my WW recipe books as well. What's your plan for food at McDonalds?
AllyBride2011~ Great job getting yourself out of the house when you realized you were eating a lil more then usual.
JessicaRT~ I always have a lil gain right after TOM ends and then it "whooshes" away, so don't get too worried about it
I'm super tired today after spending most of the night up with my little dog who got fixed yesterday. I knew he was a wimp before this, but geezome, he gives the word a whole new meaning. Whining, whining, whining! I'm hoping he feels a lot better tonight as I'm planning on going to a Zumba class early tomorrow morning... and if I don't sleep tonight... that plan will probably fall through. UGH. I'm looking forward to some quality time on the treadmill after school today!
09-17-2010, 08:13 AM
Ellie6388 – Thanks. I just take a few mineral/vitamin supplements at the moment but am due back at my specialist next week so I’ll see what he has to say. My main focus has been on my diet. It was the CFS diagnosis that gave me the kick in the butt to change my lifestyle.
KimL1214 – How’s the puppy going today? Hopefully he’s had a bit of an improvement. Did you make it to Zumba?
I didn’t end up making it to work at all this week so I’m hoping that it doesn’t have too much of an impact on the scale. Does anyone have anything exciting on for the weekend??
09-17-2010, 10:44 AM
Kim- thanks for the offer, I like everything, I'm not very picky. I can handle spicy, it makes it easier to eat less. I just took DS Mcdonalds, he eats at 10:45 so I barely had time to go to my meeting, run to the gym and get his lunch, I just got a a diet coke. But their fruit and yogurt parfait w/o granola is only 130 cals.
Took Mom and DS to school this morning (she teaches at his school), so it's just me and the baby at home. I've got to finish 30 day shred today, go to target, work on the football themed table and chairs I'm painting for DS.
Weekend we have a big seafood festival this weekend here, the boys Dad is coming over and we're taking them, probably tonight. (we've been separated for about 6 months and we're starting to kind of work on things lately- who knows if it will actually work out, but atleast we're trying one last time) I need to run tomorrow, and the boys got invited to a beach bday party Saturday afternoon. and at some point I need to clean the house.
09-17-2010, 12:49 PM
hi everyone, sorry i ent been around ive had a horried week.. my daughter has been very poorly and now ive got a stinking cold!.. plus im due TOM in the next 2days so feeling really grumpy. how are you all doing? im not looking forward to weigh in this week.. ive done hardly and exercise :( urgh
09-17-2010, 01:28 PM
bbg200~ I hope things are turning around!
ellie6388~ I've put a couple recipes on below, couple of my WW faves!
oOPeanutOo~ Rocky is doing much better! Unfortunately I didn't make it to Zumba this morning as I was still TOO tired when I got up this morn. Just heading to my sisters for the weekend...
Super frustrated with my sister right now as she "forgot" to mention that the fundraiser bake sale was postponed to next weekend... AFTER... I baked for 3 hours. So now I have 3 pans of lemon bars and 3 pans of raspberry bars... Since I'm still heading to my sisters for the weekend (since I took it off for the fundraiser anyways and it turns out my nephew has a football game tomorrow night), I'm taking 2 pans of each to them and leaving the other ones with my parents who are camping this weekend in the brandy new trailer camper (used, but new to them!). I may end up eating one or two, but at least this way I'm not eating one or two PANS.
I posted my weight today as I'm not sure if I will be coming back Sunday night or Monday morning, and I was psyched to see a new number this morning even after skipping my workout yesterday (to bake I might add... My sis and are definitely gonna have a chat about that tonight).
Everyone have an awesome weekend!!!

09-18-2010, 03:35 AM
Well.. I've been super proud of myself going to the gym on a workday!!! I NEVER DO THAT!!! Today I went to the gym from 8:30-10 and then worked 11-8 Needless to say im pooped.... I thought I wouldn't be able to make it through the day at work but surprisingly I felt great!! I WAS EVEN IN A GOOD MOOD!
but we came out with a new "salad" at work.. its apples, whipped cream and snickers!! it's supposed to tasted like a carmel apple.. it's really yummy! and I had a small bit with my lunch today...
09-18-2010, 12:12 PM
Jess- WTG on the gym! That "salad" sounds GOOD!!!
Kim- thanks for the recipes!
Went to the festival last night- it was okay, we had chic fil a before, and I shouldn't have eaten the fries, as soon as we got there my tummy was hurting, I could have gotten a fruit cup (70 cals) or splurged on a yogurt with cookie topping (240) but I had the stupid fries! I also had some funnel cake, which I new I would, no alcohol though! I ended the day at 2,000 cals, which is over my 1400 limit but way better than I would have done a few months ago. We're headed to a Kid's Day that Boys and Girls Club puts on for the community, not really sure what they will have but it's free! and lunch is free! then we have a b-day party, I'm sure I will indulge in some cake (it's my favorite and it's one thing I actually miss!) so all in all it's going to be an off plan weekend again but I can handle it. I'm hoping to get a run in between kid's day and the party, when the kids are napping, so maybe that will offset some of my badness ;)
09-18-2010, 07:00 PM
applause, hugs, and :coffee2: to all!
I also am fighting some serious frustration - just everything. I'm going to just try and roll with the punches and keep on.
My son turns 12 tomorrow- when did i get so old?
09-19-2010, 06:28 AM
Just popping in. down another lb this week. Legs and feet hurt from all the walking I'm doing!
09-19-2010, 07:14 AM
wooo down a lb, more than i expected :) still not feeling to good tho booo.. hope everyone is doing well, should be around more when im feeling better
09-19-2010, 12:01 PM
I woke up this morning to another 3 lb loss! Yay! :carrot: That brings my week total up to 6 lbs! Normally I see the Whoosh on Monday but it must have wanted to come off a day early this week. I hope that means that next week wont be a total bust. Oh well if it is... I am just happy for the loss this week :D I hope this week has been awesome for you all as well!!
09-19-2010, 01:22 PM
i celebrated my friends 21st b day last night.. with alcohol and dancing.. i weighed in at 196 which makes for no loss or gain.. I just came off my TOM so I'm hoping that's part of it.. It's a new week.. and a fresh start.. my goal is to be down 2 pounds this week
09-20-2010, 02:01 AM

good goal, and good luck!
I climbed the statue of liberty today: all 354 stairs up. (and then down). It was hard, but not terrible. and now i feel great :)
09-21-2010, 02:35 AM
I can't believe we're already at Week 4. Seems like time is flying in this challenge! I'm back at work this week so am hoping that brings some normality back into my life. I'm heading out to a restaurant tonight where they have this amazing Brazilian Churrascaria. I haven't been there in a few months so I just have to make sure I don't go overboard as it's all you can eat. I hope everyone is having a good start to the week!
09-21-2010, 08:53 AM
I'm here, after my crappy sunday weigh in of +.5 or 162, I weighed yesterday and today 159!! I'm finally out of the 160's!!
09-21-2010, 08:20 PM
HEY!!! Give me some input please... click here (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/20-somethings-bl-corner/212979-individual-standings.html)...
ellie6388~ Congrats on seein an awesome number today!!!
oOPeanutOo~ How did you do at the restaurant tonight?
dcapulet~ Congrats on climbin the statue of liberty!!! Funny story... Last time I climbed the statue of liberty I had to follow a Japanese tour group and ALL of the women were wearing spike heels... it was slow climbing...
JessicaRT~ 2lbs. is totally do-able!!!
southernbelle102~ AWESOME loss!!! Check out your standings in the overall top 5... :D
bbg200~ How are you feeling?
JasonsLea~ Great job getting your walking in!!!
FUN weekend, but I managed to come out of it with a nasty head cold. No sniffles yet, but I can feel it in my throat and behind my nose as well as in my head. Basically I feel really crappy and would love to just sleep for three days straight. But ANYWAYS!!! My sister was good and worked with me as far as food goes on Saturday on Sunday, but unfortunately we had to wing it Friday night after my 10 year old nephews football practice (which didn't get out until 7:30). I can say that instead of eating a whole calzone, pizza, and tons of wings, I restrained to splitting a calzone, only having one piece of pizza and 3 wings. It may sounds like a face plant, but believe me, it's 100 times better then I would have done a few months ago. Changing the subjext... I didn't realize how crazy football is where my sister lives... my nephews age 9-10 football team has almost 50 players on it... 50!!! The 11-12 team played after... they have almost 70!!! Craziness... At least for Vermont it seems INSANE!
09-22-2010, 12:03 AM
Thanks, Kim! Great job this week, ladies!! Team Athena was the biggest losers for the week! :carrot::D
09-22-2010, 06:19 AM
im feeling alot better now kim thank you :) me and my daughter have finaly got rid of the illness an she is back to school. im back at my exercise (slowly) and walking the dogs :D
09-22-2010, 09:37 AM
So I'd like to think that I was successful at the restaurant. I'm fully expecting a slight gain from the extra sodium but overall I'm happy with my choices.
KimL1214 - Is the cold in full force yet? Hopefully you've had a bit of rest & feel a little better today.
09-22-2010, 12:55 PM
oOPeanutOo~ Great job doing well at the restaurant!!! The cold hasn't hit full force yet and I am trying to fight it off... although I don't feel any better, just not any worse either. I've gotten over 8 hours of sleep the last two nights, which is my goal for tonight as well.
bbg200~ How many dogs do you have? I have a little miniature poodle and my parents have a Siberian Husky. Rockie, the poodle, is super easy to walk as he only weighs 8lbs. and really can't pull me, where Keylee, my parents 60lb. husky, tries to pull me like a sleigh whenever I walk her.
southernbelle102~ How is this week going so far for you?
I coughed up some nasty stuff this morning, but other then that, feel the same as yesterday. I can feel pressure behind my nose, but it hasn't moved into my nose yet. I haven't been to the gym since this started, but I'm going to change that tonight and hit the gym after dinner. By the time I was ready to head last night, Glee was on... and I don't miss Glee if I can help it... so I bounced on my trampoline a little (which is much harder then it looks!) during commercials.
Kids are going a little crazy right now... so I'm gonna see if I can put out the fire...
09-22-2010, 04:06 PM
we'll I've had more stress this past week with work and now my dad is in the hospital for blood clots.. he's fine, he just has to be on blood thinners for like a year! I don't know the last time I was at the gym so I'm going today on my day off!
Luckily I weighed in at 194.4 which is almost my 2lb loss goal for the week!! maybe I should shoot for 3!
hope you all keep truckin along..
oh oh!! I just have to tell you all. but I went to Old Navy for new work pants and I fit into a 14! They were tight, but i still got them buttoned! a 16 fits better, but I could button the 14! I'm excited to keep losing weight and maybe those 14s will fit perfect next time
09-22-2010, 04:56 PM
WTG on everyone who had losses this week!!
I'm down another pound, and I so hope this keeps up! so I'll be down 4lbs when we weigh in!! My goal for is to be 155 by Oct. 1, it looks like it may happen or atleast be really close.
I've got orientation for school tomorrow, and I'm trying to decide what to wear, maybe I'll try on some of my too small clothes.
09-22-2010, 08:14 PM
Kim, I was 3 lbs down this morning. Hopefully that # sticks or continues to drop. I was really worried that after a 6 lb loss last week I would have no loss or a very insignificant loss this week. I will gladly take these 3 lbs :) This week I have been pretty tired so I am keeping my activity level to a minimum. I need to step that up a lot.
09-23-2010, 10:24 AM
so glad our team was number 1 this week!! Way to go every1! I'm hoping I'll lose a few this week, don't know because I lost so much this week. I get my official weight and measurements tomorrow at my gym, I'm super nervous cause it's been four weeks and I know I lost weight but still-I'm always dissapointed afterwards thinking-knowing I could have done better. So wish me luck tomorrow on my inches and bmi measurments!!
I hope every 1 is having a great week, I haven't been on having a lot of drama w/ my toddlers :) but wanted to get on and show I'm excited for our team!!
09-23-2010, 11:53 AM
Nessa411~ Drama with toddlers... is it bad that I find that kind of entertaining :p Good luck with your measurements!!!
southernbelle102~ What do you have planned to help step up your activity level?
ellie6388~ Congrats on being so close to your Oct. 1 goal!!! Did any of your "too small" clothes fit?
JessicaRT~ 14!!! That's awesome!!!
So I had a chocolate binge night last night which included a brownie and 4-5 small cookies. UGH. I was pretty annoyed/am pretty annoyed with myself, but I'm trying to look on the positive side that I didn't eat the whole box of cookies or eat the second brownie I bought...
My major goal for today is to get to the gym as I haven't dragged myself there since I first started getting sick. I'm rid of the pressure in my head, but now have one of those irritating coughs that hit every 10-15 minutes and don't stop... Hopefully I'm still feeling good by the end of school so I can get a good workout in!
09-23-2010, 04:25 PM
Nessa, good luck! And Congrats on being this weeks biggest loser for our team!!!
Kim, I don't have a plan on how I should step it up as of now. I definitely need to come up with one. That will be my weeks goal - to come up with an activity plan. :D have fun at the gym today!
I woke up this morning to another 4 lb loss... what?!?!:D I am not going to count it yet though because sometimes when I whoosh down like that, I yoyo back up a lb or a few for a couple of days. If I see it again this week or see a lower # on my scale I will count it. I always wait until I see a number at least twice to count it because of water weight and scale discrepancies.
If that is correct, it would bring my loss this week to 7 lbs. Since I had a 6 lb loss last week I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near that but I will definitely take it... haha! When I started my weight loss journey a few months ago, I was averaging 6 or 7 lbs every week. However, as time has passed, I have creeped down to a 5, 4 or 3 lb loss per week. I hope this keeps up for a little while :) I am loving these big #s!!
Good luck everyone! Hope you are all having a great week!

09-23-2010, 09:51 PM
Good job at the victory guys. I can't take credit AT ALL because I missed the weigh in .. oops. I was baby sitting over night at my sisters and forgot all about it.
I haven't been very on track the last week or so either ... I need a kick in the rear!
09-24-2010, 11:05 AM
wow - so much to catch up on! I'm doing a quick run-by because I'm in class, but hi! and i will weigh in tomorrow.
09-25-2010, 01:25 AM
I'm down 2.2lbs for the week so am definitely happy about that. I went for a 30 minute walk in the park yesterday so am a bit tired today. I know that doesn't sound like much but for me it was huge. I usually don't get any exercise in just because I don't have the energy.
Today is a pretty big day in Melbourne, it's the Grand Final for the AFL so that means BBQ and nibbles with friends. I have a plan for the afternoon so I'm hoping I stick to it.
Good Luck for weigh in everyone!!
09-25-2010, 04:14 AM
Just doing my weekly pop-in. :p Down another lb, I know it'll pick up in October once I have to go back to classes on campus. :grouphug:
09-25-2010, 01:12 PM
Hey Ladies! Sounds like everyone is doing good!
My weight has finally started dropping, 156.5 this morning! I probably won't be on plan today, so I'm curious to see what number I'll have for tomorrows weigh in!
Kim- yes I wore a pair of pants that were pretty tight, and now they're loose!
09-27-2010, 09:31 PM
hiya!.. i know im not around much but im still trying hard!.. getting alittle p.o with my weight now. im not losing much if i do its really slow.. think im going through a bad patch.. hopefully will pick up soon!
09-28-2010, 09:20 AM
Trying to get back on track here. I'm down about .6 lbs since Sunday. I hope it goes down a little more for the next weigh in!
09-28-2010, 10:53 AM
Kim-I know, pretty sad having drama w/ toddlers, I'm just waiting for the teenage stage. lol. they keep me on my toes!!
southernbelle102- thank you!
So, I'm finally on this week, congrats again every1 for being bl for the week! My measurments were ok on friday at the gym and the weight and bmi were awesome. My bmi went down 2% for the past month and I lost a total of 9 lbs for the month on their scale.
On a down note, I haven't been to the gym this week-been sick w/ a wicked cold but going to try to work out today and get back to the gym tomorrow. So hopefully I'll have ok results by saturday! I hope every1 is having a great week so far.
09-29-2010, 11:40 AM
southernbelle102~ You're doing AMAZING!!! Congrats on your loss this week!
BassAckwards, ellie6388, dcapulet~ How are you?
oOPeanutOo~ How was the Grand Final?
bbg200~ I know losing weight slowly stinks, but it often means you'll be able to keep it off! How are things going?
Nessa411~ Teenage drama is gonna be rough! How are you feeling?
Sorry I haven't been on much. I've been busy, but the main reason is kind of a sucky one. I'm down. I mean really down. My anti-depressants aren't working right now and I'm struggling big time with just keeping myself going. When I say keeping myself going, I mean getting myself out of bed in the morning. Unfortunately I haven't been watching what I eat as closely as usual or getting to the gym. I'm hoping to turn things around over the next couple days. An improvement in the weather would be a big help.
ANYWAYS! On a lighter note, I did get the individual standings posted yesterday, check 'em out, we have some team members with some pretty awesome overall losses!
09-29-2010, 09:17 PM
Thanks for asking Kim ... I am going pretty well. Trying to get back on track with my eating ... I wasn't really horribly off track but I stopped logging everything on Sparkpeople and I kind of felt like I needed to start again.
Been walking after work the past few days so that's good!
I hope you are feeling better soon!
09-29-2010, 11:53 PM
KimL1214 - Sorry to hear you're not feeling great this week. Hopefully you'll be able to turn things around soon. The Grand Final was great but it ended in a draw. That hasn't happened in over 30 years in the AFL so they'll be having a re-match on Saturday which means another BBQ.
I've been having a bit of an off week in general. Last night I went into Hospital to get a Sleep Study done. I've never had so many wires hanging off me before. My doctor had given me some sleeping tablets to take and I unfortunately had a bad reaction to them. It's definitely put me off using any kind of sleeping tablets in the future. I'm just hoping that I don't have to go back for another one.
How is everyone going this week? Staying on plan??
09-30-2010, 03:09 AM
hey everyone.. I've been MIA for like a week.. bunch of life drama.. College, my dad was in the hospital (he's completely fine though already home), work drama.. etc..
I stopped going to the gym uhg, but I plan on going to the one on campus tomorrow! :D... my diet has been whatever i could get my hands one.. which isn't good.. Since everything has settled down and school is all sorted out Im getting back on track
09-30-2010, 05:13 AM
kim i hope you feel better soon!, if you ever need to chat about anything or need a friend im always a msg away xx
im not doing so good, just took my daughter to school and some lads thought it would be funny to point at me and call me fatty!.. great start to the day
hope everyone else is doing well. x
09-30-2010, 05:59 AM
Congrats to our team for finishing 1st again this week!! Yay!:carrot:
Thanks Kim! I can't believe I have the second highest overall weight loss percentage right now... thats crazy! I think this week will be okay but not that amazing. It is my TOM. We'll see. Hopefully I can at least pull off like 3 lbs or so. If not, c'est la vie. I saw a friend today who I haven't seen in a coupe of months and she was like " you look awesome! You are just melting away." It felt great to hear that because I was having a fat feeling day today. My TOM always makes me feel super bloated and ugly.
I hope you feel better soon. Depressions sucks!! :( Take good care of yourself right now! I hate that I don't have the time to get caught up with everyone here... I hope all of you are doing well!
Lets keep up this awesome weight loss! We are right on team nike's heals for overall winners. :)
09-30-2010, 12:46 PM
southernbelle102~ Thank you! I'm just getting rid of TOM, so I wonder if that might be part of my problem as well. That's awesome that your friend gave you such a nice compliment!
bbg200~ I'm sorry they said that to you
JessicaRT~ Great job getting back on track!
oOPeanutOo~ Yikes! How are you feeling today? What kind of reaction did you have to the meds?
BassAckwards~ I just discovered sparkpeople last week, seems like a really neat site!
I'm still in my little slump, trying to think of ways to help pull myself out of it. I have to babysit this afternoon, so the gym isn't a possibility today and the weather stinks so there is no way of getting in a quick walk during my lunch. I actually had a similar experience as bbg200 yesterday, but the kid thought he was being nice... Somehow the topic of calling people "fat" came up during PE and one kid said... "I never call anyone fat," then pointed at me and said, "I wouldn't even call you fat." I laughed at him, and some of his classmates pointed out that he had pretty much said that I was... OUCH. Not really what I needed to hear this week, or really any time, but especially not this week...
On a lighter note... I will be putting up a sign-up thread this week for the next challenge, and will make sure to post the link in this thread so everyone interested can make sure to sign up! Week 5 is more then half way over! CRAZY!!!
10-01-2010, 07:48 PM
Next Challenge Sign-Ups are here (Click me) (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/20-somethings-bl-corner/213835-20-somethings-tbl-fallin-into-winter-challenge-sign-up.html)...
10-01-2010, 09:31 PM
JessicaRT - I'm glad your Dad is okay. Hopefully he's still doing well.
bbg200 - Comments like that are always horrible. Hope you're okay.
southernbelle102 - That's a great compliment to get. With any luck you can lose that as extra motivation.
KimL1214 - How are you feeling now? Have you managed to get some time to yourself to try and work your way out of the slump?
I'm down another 1.1lbs this week and am pretty happy with that. I'm off to the BBQ shortly but made a massive fruit salad to take along this time. It should be a fun day so I'll try and stick to plan as best I can.
Good Luck for Weigh-In everyone!!
10-02-2010, 12:43 AM
I hope you all had a good week. I was cramping today so I think TOM is right around the corner. :cookie: Next week will be difficult and my next WI probably won't be pretty. :headache: Today's WI was the same as last week, no loss but no gain which I'll take.
I got my Pullo back today so there will be extra walking for me daily, taking him around the neighborhood. :running:
Tomorrow, it will be 12 weeks till Christmas! :gift2:
10-02-2010, 02:02 AM
im feeling alittle better about it now.. took me a few days to get over it and a few comfort foods then thought to myself why should i let it ruin the work ive already done!.. ent looking forward to the weigh in this week but it has to be done!
kim im sorry you had to go through the same as me, its just not nice no matter how it was said x hope ur feeling better!
peanut well done with you loss! :) hope you had a good time at the BBQ x
10-03-2010, 08:34 PM
Down to 182.4 this a.m. after a couple week lull of nothing. I hope it stays this way. I went out last night and had some drinks ... but also danced most of the night. Hopefully it equals out lol.
10-04-2010, 10:55 PM
Congrats to Ellie6388, our biggest loser this week!!! Congrats, also, to runners up BassAckwards and Nessa411!!
We are really rockin the overall individual standings right now ladies!! Keep it up :)
10-05-2010, 08:38 AM
Sorry I've been MIA, had a lot going on the past 2 weeks, which is key for my weight loss- staying busy!
I haven't had much time to work out though, I did get 2 outside runs in last week, I'd like to shoot for 3 a week but whatever.
School started for me yesterday, nursing. Seems pretty cool, starting Thursday we'll have a test almost everyday.
Kim- have you tried Wellbutrin? I totally get where you're coming from and it SUCKS!!!! I hope you can get out of it. It helps me to right down what I'm feeling.
10-05-2010, 09:24 PM
Seems like we're all having hectic starts to the week. I've had no time to get online the past few days as work is chaotic. I've been sticking to plan pretty much every day so I'm happy with that.
The weather has started to pick up over here so I'm enjoying the Sunshine as well. I hope to take advantage of that and get outside more.
ellie6388 - Awesome weigh-in this week!!
KimL1214 - Hope you're doing okay.
10-06-2010, 10:33 AM
oOPeanutOo~ Did you get a chance to get outside yesterday? Congrats on your loss this week!
ellie6388~ Tests everyday! Craziness!!! Congrats on being our BL AND the OVERALL BL this week!!!
southernbelle102~ You're doing AWESOME!!! 21lbs. in 5 weeks is INCREDIBLE!!!
BassAckwards~ Congrats on your loss!!!
bbg200~ Good to hear you're feeling better!
JasonsLea~ Scary to think Christmas is so close! Even scarier is the fact that I actually started my Christmas list yesterday and looking for gifts. No money right now, but I'm finding sites to get stuff from and budgeting so I can get more stuff for people this year!
I know I keep saying that I'm around, just not typing a lot, which I guess is confirmed by all the stats I've been posting, but I still feel bad. I've been thinking a lot about these challenges over the last couple days and have been trying to figure out how we can help other teams be as active as we are. You may have noticed from the team postings that we have, by far, the most active members on our team. We had almost as many people weigh in this week for our team as all three of the other teams combined. I'm going to put up a thread in a bit asking for ideas, but I wanted to come to you all first. I love being able to have more teams, but unfortunately it's asking a lot of the other team leaders, and creates a lot more work for me if they do not post their team stats. So I'm thinking about cutting to just 2, maybe 3 teams for the next challenge, and either doing all the stats myself, so I'm not having to start from scratch each week with each team. Or, see if the other team leaders want to try again. UGH.
As for me. Much better with food, horrible with exercise. I'm still down, but much better then last week. Thank you everyone for your concern!!!

10-06-2010, 10:53 PM
Today was a bad bad bad food day. I hit over my daily calories after I ate lunch.
Stupid drug reps bringing in lunch! 2 days this week too. Today I ate way too much though. So I went over my limit by about 750 calories! Yikes.
I did go for a walk after work though ... that might make it slightly better.
I am so sick of being in the 180's! It seems like it's taking forever.
I hope everyone else is having a not so bad food day
10-08-2010, 03:12 AM
BassAckwards - How's your food been for the rest of the week?? Have the drug reps stopped bringing in food?
KimL1214 - Glad to hear that your doing a bit better now. As far as improving challenges go I think having fewer teams would benefit everyone especially if the length of the challenge was increased. Hopefully more people per team would keep the conversation flowing. I'd be up for the 8 week challenge as there are bound to be many people who would drop off over that Christmas & New Years period when they go away for holidays or get busy with family stuff.
Luckily for me I was able to get out in the Sunshine. Just had a short stroll in the local park but I enjoyed it. I've seen a drop in the scale as the week ends so I'm hoping it stays like that for weigh in.
Does anyone have any interesting plans for the weekend?
10-08-2010, 09:18 AM
We usually have lunch brought in maybe once or twice a month. This week alone we've had 3! So this is not a normal occurrence thankfully lol.
My breakfast and dinner has been pretty normal ... and last night I actually didn't eat dinner because I got home pretty late ... but I wasn't really hungry anyway. Next week will be better!
10-09-2010, 08:31 AM

Tomorrow is my birthday!! Yay :) I am planning on spending the entire weekend doing fun things and celebrating with my amazing friends and family! Hope you are all doing well! I can't believe this will be our final weigh in... I have had a great time with this challenge! Can't wait for the next!

southernbelle102~ :hb::woo::bday2you::woo::hb: Congrats on your loss this week!!! 25 lbs. in 6 weeks is AMAZING!!!
JasonsLea~ Congrats on your loss this week!!!
BassAckwards~ Sounds like a crazy lunch week!!!
Thank you ladies for everything this challenge!!! I will post an in-between chat thread shortly and will put the link up here. It looks like the next challenge will be 8 weeks long to avoid having too much time off in-between challenges.
There's still time to weigh in, so make sure to do so!!!

So, I haven't been on, just been so busy but made sure I weighed in, read up on everyone's posts, glad I was a part of this team, we did great ever1! I signed up for the next challenge, hoping to reach my goal weight in that one, I'm so glad my nutrition plan and exercise are working out for me, now if I can stick to it I kno I'll be there sooner than later :) I hope every one has a great week, I'm super excited to see how our team did this last weigh in and everyone's overall stats :)
10-13-2010, 06:49 PM
Congrats, Jasonslea on being our biggest loser for the week!!:) It looks promising that we will take the overall BL title as a team this challenge. :carrot::hug: We shall see on friday :D I hope the next team I end up on is as dedicated as this one was!
