Slimming Resolution
I thought some of you might enjoy this little poem I wrote many years ago.
Slimming Resolution
While standing at the mirror bare
I could but only in shock stare
The rotund figure what a sight,
I must be firm and end this plight
And eat correctly all the things
To end this flab and odd bulgings.
So with the aid of "Slimming Books"
With charts and special things to cook
I wrote with speed a shopping list
Of crispbreads, salads, I'll insist
That meat will be so very lean
And fish, cheese, eggs and mounds of green
And putting lots of things instore
Then I will have good foods galore.
And calories I'll count so that
I'll soon be losing all this fat.

Alas, my plans have gone to pot
Cos' in one day I ate the lot!!
