Binged. :( Was in a downer mood all day, plus the group home clients spent the day at home today instead of going to the day program where I work, so I was at their home working instead, and we got into some homemade peanut butter cookies... came home and pigged out some more again.... bad bad.

Hope everyone's tuesday is going ok! My day is going better than yesterday, but the dadgum fried pies from our family's trip to the apple orchard this weekend struck again. I'm estimating one of those to be around 480 calories like one of those fruit pies you'd buy near the little debbie counter in the grocery store. So I'm over calories again two days in a row. Went walking on my lunch break but started feeling tired (10 hour shift + too much refined sugary crap to eat) so I only completed 15 minutes at the gym before giving in. At least I gave it an honest try today though!

Matilda - how's it going??

This weekend had a great time up in North Carolina with the boyfriend. Got absolutely FRIED at a wedding... who has a wedding at noon that is an hour and a half long without shade or fans or water in 85 degree heat!?!? So the poor boyfriend and I are nursing some serious burns. But other than that we had a GREAT time at the Bed and Breakfast we stayed at near Asheville and in Raleigh visiting friends. Ate WAY too much, but with all the hiking and touring we did I managed to maintain, so I was pretty glad about that!

How's everyone's week going? Any great plans for this coming weekend or is everyone recovering from last weekend?

Brookesrm- Don't worry, as long as you realize that this is not the routine you have to follow, you will be fine. everyone has stressful days and i know they can be very hard, but as long as you know that you have to do back to your exercise and calorie counting, all will be fine!

Charleston424- hope you have a good time with your boyfriend!!!

Zanheltangia- hope you are feeling better!!

Matilda08- my fingers are crossed for you!!! 220's!!!!!!

i am in a major catastrophe these days. The organization that i am working for is pulling me from all directions. They are calling me to another department where i initially wanted to work as well but my old department is not letting me go. My boss is yelling and shouting at me, calling me unprofessional and that she is sorry but she can't cant let me go, even though i haven't signed a contract with them as yet nor have they decided on my pay package. i don't know what i'm doing. this is all very upsetting for me, also considering that this is my first job.ughhhhhhhhhh!!! bad day. and no labour day for me... blakh

Sameen :hug:, I traded one problem for another illness, but all's good. Haven't had a sore throat in years, but heck, that's nothin' ;). Sounds like you are in a bit of Chaos right now, I hope the ride evens out soon and things get figured out. Don't let the stress get the best of you, and talk it out, that issue sounds a bit off with your boss. Grats on your first job, though I think the boss is the unprofessional one if they are "yelling and shouting" at you. O.o;;;

Miss, I'd mail you some fresh aloe clippings if I could, I remember sticking quite a few in the fridge for some sticky but cool relief. Take care of those burns (OWIE!).

Brooks, just don't let it become a habit, you can get back on track. Being over your calories once in a long while won't hurt ya. :hug:

Brook- thats pretty normal but the important thing is getting back out there and working your plan. I know you can do and you have came so far. We are cheering you on.:)

misstraveller- that sounds awful! I would have been so upset lol I hate heat Im def not a summer lover. hope you guys feel better

Today I wi at 231.0 and during the week I tend to lose more than weekends so i really think ill be in the 220s this week.

Zan- It didn't happen :( We drove all the way out to the store and it was closed for labor day, ugh!! We are going this weekend though they looked like they had cute clothes from just window shopping though haha!

Today is going to be a long day for me! I need to go and get my eye brows threaded and then maybeee get my nails done. I am supposed to go on a date tomorrow with this guy but not sure if its going to happen, I'm kinda being chicken and we haven't talked about it since last week. I also have a personal training session tonight so i can learn how to tone up i guess and then I am planning on going to kickboxing after that, so I probably wont be able to move tomorrow haha.

EDIT: wow....as soon as I posted that I got a text asking if I still wanted to go to the zoo tomorrow haha :)

Jessica - The zoo sounds like a fun date! I'm so jealous, have fun! Also, have you gotten your eyebrows threaded before? How often do you do it? I only recently started hearing about it, I'm considering doing it sometime.

misstraveller - Sorry about your sunburn! That sounds terrible. If that's how it was for the audience, I can only imagine how it was for the bride/groom/wedding party!

brooksrm - 15 minutes at the gym is certainly better than no minutes at the gym! You'll be back on track in no time.

Matilda - you've worked so hard for those 220's, I'm they'll be worth it!

Zan - I hope you're feeling better!

I've only had kettlebell once a week for the past couple weeks because of labor day, and the instructors' vacations. I miss it so much! I'll be back on my normal schedule tonight though. It should kick my butt. I'm also thinking of buying my own kettlebell and a book to start working it at home and making some new routines. I also might start swimming at the Y in the next few weeks, seems like fun.

I have one and a half weeks until school starts - eek! Excited and nervous all at the same time. I hope everyone is doing well!

Ok guys. I ate poorly for the third day in a row, and went out to the local zoo with my ex against my better judgment. Now, let me say this. I went against my better judgment knowing I would have today off work and I didn't want to sit at home and feel bad, so I made plans with him knowing I'd probably feel bad later but at least it would pass the time. Not only did it pass the time... But something kind of good came out of it. I felt completely nothing. I really miss the memories we made together, but unlike the past few times I've seen him since the just-friends talk, I didn't spend the whole outing wishing he still wanted me. I really, REALLY mourn the memories we made, though. But I would mourn that even if I didn't see him today.
Went to a movie with my mom though, and ate deadly popcorn.

On my way to the gym next, before I lose my motivation.

Working on getting back into my regular routine with both food and exercise after a week of sickness ended by the county fair and every fried food offered. Now really, did I need to try a deep fried twinkie, deep fried snickers and corndog all in one day? No ma'am I did not. I am amazed I still lost some weight since Sunday. My mom is coming into town at 5am on Friday morning. Its going to be hard to maintain healthy eating while she's here, I think. Anyway, these are my challenges!

misstraveler - Sooo jealous about the romantic B&B! Sounds like a great time, minus the awful sunburn of course :(

Zan - Congratulations on the 50lb mark!!!! Fabulous! Hope you get better soon too. Summer colds are the worst. It totally feels unfair and unjustified, in my opinion!

Brooksrm - Sorry to hear about all of the emotional turmoil with the ex. Someday soon, you won't even think about those memories you are mourning, and much later down the road, you will be able to revisit them fondly because you will have moved on. Doesn't help the feeling right now though. Hang in there!

Alyssa - Love the motivation and all the fun exercise you are into!

Jessica - I hope you're going on that date! Have a great time and report back to us!

Matilda - You are so close to your mini-goal, you're totally going to hit it by next week!

Sameen - I hope things sort out at work for you soon. That extra stress while trying to lose weight really stinks. Is there a "higher up" that is above both of the people fighting over you?

Hi everyone, just checking in. I've been in a not so great place in my head lately. I think I was overly restricting last week in order to get the number on the scale to go down and this led to several binges, which in turn led to more restricting, etc etc etc. So I've been trying to take a step back and re-evaluate where I am in this whole process and what it is that I aiming for exactly. While I try to sort that out I'm going to try to be less obsessive about my calorie counting and focus more on the big picture (eating healthy food I like, exercising, etc). So I have no idea what my weigh-in on Sunday will look like (I'm trying not to weigh myself so obsessively) so I apologize in advance if I have a gain!

Wow, Denice! ;) I'd like to try a fried snicker or oreo, but luckily I haven't come across them yet! :lol: You can still do healthy eating with her around, it might be difficult, but I believe you can do it! :D First cold in a long, long time, but it's just a mild annoyance, I guess my immune system could use the practice, haha. Jenb- its always good to stop and evaluate. i went through the same thing a couple of weeks back and just reevaluating everything really helped! hope all works out with your plan!!

denice81- don't worry, i'm sure you'll be able to manage with your mum in town. just keep on reminding yourself of all the hard work you ahve done so far. as for any person above those two... well he is away for a business trip and won't be back for a month, so i guess i'm stuck.

brookesrm- :) sounds like you had a wonderful time and thumbs up on not having any "i want you back" feelings anymore! good luck with the gym!

zalhentalgia- 50 pounds!!!! congratulationssss!!!!!!!!:hug: and i totally understand about the weekend... had a really crappy week myself!

As for me... i have a long weekend coming up!!! however, i think i will be working day in and day out on those days aswell... I think the only thing that is helping me go through this tough time is achieving my daily goals concerning calorie intake and diet. Its the best feeling, especially when you are lying in bed at night going over whatever had happened that day... I am in a much better mood. Thank you for your support guys.. it really means a lot:)
2 pound loss for the week till now. but to be honest i also binged yesterday. so lets see!

Matilda - Congrats!!

sameen - I've attached a picture of kettlebells. You can do all sorts of things with them, and they provide a really good cardio and weight workout. Most kettlebell moves utilize the larger muscles of the body, so it's a good workout for the entire body. Also, it's a lot of fun to swing a hunk of iron around :)

Is everyone getting excited for the weekend?? It's so close!

Yes, I did make it to the gym, goshdarnit!

Weird thing. A guy at work has upped his flirting with me bigtime this past week. He always flirted with me like an elementary school kid, pulls on my pony tail, picks on me, etc. Today he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and spun me "helicopter style" until I was so dizzy I couldn't even stand up when he put me down. He did it to be obnoxious but it totally felt like flirting and kind of made me feel good about myself. I'm worth being flirted with! AND!!!! I'm light enough for someone to pick me up and spin me into oblivion. Who knew.

Wow, where did everyone go? Just another update, got back on track with food, and nailed TWO CLASSES IN A ROW at the gym. An hour each of Zumba and Yoga. Was my first ever yoga class. Think I did ok for a newbie.

I'm here! Sorry everyone, been crazy busy at work with a VIP. He's gone now so a few days down before I head to Puerto Rico (for work, not play unfortunately!).

Brook - It's awesome you were able to go on a hike and not have those feelings. That is SO difficult to do, took me ages with my last love. :hug:

So, I just got back from my date a little while ago, it was perfect and I had soo much fun, he was definitely a gentleman and we basically spent 4 hours at the zoo and another 2 hours at dinner it was fun :) hopefully we will have a second date soon :) im really happy!

Denise- wow its so crazy how they just fry everything at the fair haha. Have fun with your mom!!

Matilda- congrats girl!! you are awesome keep up all the hard work!! and about the threaded i have gotten it done before i never get my eye brows waxed anymore it hurts too much! i get it done about twice a month. You should definitely try it out, i love it!

Jen- no worries :) Keep your head up, i know exactly how you feel :hugs:

Zan- i second the weekend coming!! i can't wait but its been a very productive week so thats good :) keep up all your hard work you are doing great!

I don't know the difference between the different types of yoga, I just know I'm not very stretchy and the instructor was really nice. :) Had a good weigh this morning, but feeling nervous about meeting these guys this weekend. Having second thoughts and trying to resist the urge for something to "come up". Ha. Meh.

hello ladies!

sorry for missing last weeks weigh in. My mom was rushed to the hospital after falling down the stairs at her apartment building. Thankfully she only has a broken leg, sprained wrist a concussion and just a few other bumps and bruises.
I've been staying with her the last few days, making sure everything is okay with her. It has been stressing me out a bit, but when i got home this morning thankfully I didn't gain any weight.

I didn't even try to eat healthy as I was too stressed about her to bother with making anything and just kinda ate on the go. But she's back home now and my brother and aunt are watching out for her.
I'm getting back to working out, hoping i can lose at least one pound this week.

We had a party at work for a bunch of clients who had september birthdays and I'm proud to say I had NO cake, NO ice cream, and was at 700 calories total for lunch and breakfast. Did my 30 mins, and am off to the hospital to visit a friend's kid. But sad to add, going to chinese with the fam afterward.

hi team! sorry I've been mia the past few days..our kickball team did horribly. 11-3! We're going to practice tuesday and hope for a better game on wednesday. :) I may or may not have had a few too many (sugar free) jello shots and then hit the bar up afterwards..needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper 7am friday morning.

misstrav- I see where the name comes from! Have fun in PR, I'm jealous.

brooks- I seriously need to know your secrets! We started out at the same weight and you're down in the 140s. I just can't beat the 150s. I've been here for about 5 months now I think. :(

matilda- GOOD JOB on the weigh in! I know exactly how it feels to hit that new number and hope I can do it soon too!

Hopefully everyone's dates and weekends are going fab. I'm alone again this weekend so have been just laying low..the boy will be home on friday for the weekend so I'm looking very forward to that. :)
