This is my first post. I'm so fustrated right now. I'm trying to lose weight and keep it off. I currently weight 263 lbs, I started out at 273 lbs and it's taken me more than 2 months to lose 10 lbs. I consume between 1500 - 1800 calories a day and I work out every other day. I don't know if my weight loss is slow because of my age (44) or because I have more than 150g of carbs per day. Is this normal? Any suggestion on how to kick start my weightloss?
Agreed, 10 lbs in 2 months is a healthy level of weight loss. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear. Sorry! You're doing all the things you will need to do for a lifetime in order to maintain for a lifetime!
Oh, I feel your frustration!! I was a super-slow loser at the beginning also. Please, just keep doing what you are doing! even if you're not seeing big changes on the scale yet, you are setting great routines in place and already I'm sure your body is benefitting from regular exercise! Just...keep...on!
Thanks for the responses. I feel much better hearing from others that I'm on the track. Losing weight is so hard. When I read other people's post, it seems like they are losing a lost more than I am at a faster pace.
Caryesings your ticker tape is definitely a motivation!
