DNW, I don't like shrimp and am not a big fan of crab either so :p neener neener neener!!! Then again, that cheese spread sounds ..... OK, when do you want me there!!! :T
Actually girls, I'm kinda panicky here. I've been following the WW program to a T and have been GAINING weight. :yikes: I"m sure my body's reacting badly to these new pills but OMG! This is no good. I simply CANNOT go into my second WW meeting with a gain!!!
So now I find myself thinking about either dropping out of WW again or telling the doctor I'm not taking these pills any more and I'll just have to put up with Aunt Flo when she comes each month. What to do? What to do?
Huntress, I'm sorry to hear about the gum disease. Doesn't sound like fun. I'm going to the dentist on Dec. 12 for my 6 month checkup. Before my last one, it had been almost 5 years since I'd been there. I'm like you. I hate the dentist.
Hm, I think Dyan's probably still in Utah??? :?: Dyan, if you're out there, I hope you're doing OK. Hope to hear from you soon.
Well, I'm thinking Huntress has a good idea. We should start a new thread. Maybe that'll get our beloved :queen: Tiffany out of hiding??? Who wants to do it?
It's a gray, foggy, damp day here and I just happened to glance out the window and saw the boss's car pull into the lot. :( Gotta go. Later.

OMG, DNW sounds wonderful! I bet you enjoy cooking too. Not me, give me a menu any day. Think it all started when DH and I first married, he would curl up his nose and decide if he like a dish or not before he ever took a bit. (He is the baby of the family can you tell) Plus he dislikes most casseroles, so there you go, I just sort of gave up and cook the same 'ol same 'ol, for about 33 years now! Oh BTW, I was only 10 when we married....
Huntress: sorry about the dentist. We go every six months, probably because we have dental insurance. I grew up on a farm with well water so I've had my share of visits to the dentist. I still hate to go even for cleanings.
Jello, I would think that everything will level out if you can give it a little more time.
I'm heading to Mississsippi in the morning early for a funeral, my only Aunt passed away yesterday. I had a good visit with her in July at the reunion. She was quite elderly and suffering, guess she had had enough.
I started the last post so it's your turn. ;)
Well gotta run, oh I almost forgot.........TGIF

Hello Ladies.
Finally Friday. I'm ready for the weekend. Too many appointments and rat-race this week. Hope I don't have to leave the house all weekend!
I scale hop'd this morning. Up 2 pounds. So much for getting back in the saddle this week. But, no reason to eat the whole house this weekend. Will try to keep myself under some kind of control. Weekends are the hardest.

Semo: Hope your trip is not too sad...and my husband is sort of the same way at times...but since I cook if he's hungry he has no choice but to eat...also I think Dec. 1 would be a good time to start the next thread..perhaps start another water, food, and exercise challengeDECEMBER IS SUCH A DAMNED DANGER MONTH...we have to have our artillery ready :drill:
Jello: Don't give up on your pills, :nono: the weight gain from pills is negligible... that's been proven in study after study...try drinking lots more water...I bet you are retaining water because you are not drinking enough...I know it's bizarre...but you have to drink a lot of water not to retain it...go figure. Also try mixing up your food a bit...are you eating the same things over and over? Also if you are eating a lot of the WW frozen prepared meals you might be getting too much salt.
A teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in water helps as a natural diuretic or even fresh lemon juice in hot water (you can add a sweetner like splenda to make it like hot lemonade).
Also whenever I gain it's because of unrefined carbs like pasta or bread, even if I am in my calorie range. They hold water, especially pasta. Try some days with protein, veggies, and salad and see if that makes a difference.
What about counting your calories on Fitday.com just for a few days to see how many calories you are actually eating...you might be surprised...I was horrified I had been scamming myself so much.
Do not give up...Do not give up...Do not give up...Do not give up...Do not give up...:D
Huntress my teeth are aching in sympathy for you honey:yes:
Love to you all.

What's up? No posts since the 22nd? Is there a new thread and I've been left in the dust? :?:
I had an "off" weekend. I really need to pull it together or I'll gain back the weight I've lost by New Years. Can't let that happen.
Hope eveyone is doing good. Send out a flare or something, I feel lost.

Tig, not to worry. I heard a rumor that the 3FC server was having trouble last weekend. I don't think there's a new thread.
.... Then again..... ?????
Nah. Can't happen.
Annnnyhoooo, I was so good this weekend!!! And know what else? I refuse to step on the scale until tomorrow night's weigh-in. So there. I'm not sure if I feel any different or anything but I'm hoping this WW thing still works. And I've been exercising like a fiend. Not necessarily "formal" exercise :strong: but, for example, I spent almost 2 hours raking leaves yesterday afternoon. Yikes! We hardly even have any trees and some of them are evergreens. ... but the neighbors have plenty of trees and plenty of leaves falling on our property. Ah well. Good workout.
Nurse, thanks again for the info. I'm hoping you're right about the weight gain being just a small thing. I've been drinking water like a fiend but still feel like I'm retaining and my rings are tight, etc. Hopefully, something will happen to break the dam soon!
Semo, how did the funeral go? I'm sure it was sad but sometimes it's also a blessing when it ends someone's suffering. That's how it was with my uncle a few months ago. He just wasn't enjoying life any more.
Well, I have to get to work. After work today I have to drop Watson (my doggie) off at mom and dad's to be spoiled rotten while Rich and I are gone. Tomorrow after work I have my weigh-in and then a meeting at the VFW. Wednesday we head for the airport, spend the night at the airport hotel and our flight leaves for North Carolina at 6-ish Thanksgiving morning. I'm stressing just a little, mostly about the trip to the airport with all the other holiday travellers. But I will NOT resort to food for comfort! :^:
Oooh, wish me luck.....

Jello: H-m-m-m, maybe you should call the doctor and ask for a mild diuretic like hydrocholathiazide...that's what I use daily to keep from getting bloated and it keeps my blood pressure in check...if you are drinking all that water you shouldn't still be retaining...although if you are drinking alot of diet soda (which usually has a bit of sodium in it), that may help you to retain water. Just don't let it go on too long, you don't want to have high blood pressure problems at your young age. Have a wonderful trip...my niece is in Carrboro going gradute to school at UNC Chapel Hill, she says although she loves the small town atmosphere the place is just too hot for her...what do you think?
Tiger: Gald to see you are back with us. Suzanne of 3FC sent messages that the server was being changed over the weekend so that if you posted it was not show up on the new server.
There's no new thread yet....I was thinking about starting one on Dec. 1 when everybody she be back from vacation....boy do I miss Cafe, Dyanm1, Tiffany, and Kayla...I still say it was my picture that scared 'em away
Huntress: how did the dentist trip turn out? Hope you're not in too much pain.
Also down another half pound and I will take it

Good Morning Ladies, and a happy Monday. This is a short week for me. I'm working today and tomorrow and off the rest of the week. Did I say...WooHoo!
I had this bright idea of getting all my craft stuff organized, and you know how bright ideas go. Anyway I bought this cube bookshelve and went to pier 1 and bought $85 dollars worth of storage baskets, (sale price with additional 10% for opening a charge card acct) Anyway back to the story, I have spent at least 10 hours trying to put the darn bookshelf together and probably said more dirty words than I have in years, ended up making a trip to town last night to pick up shelf brackets and some other stuff and I still don't have it together. Remind me NEVER to buy things that say "assembly required". DH isn't any better and gripes because he has to do it, so I am trying to do it myself, in fact he hasn't even seen it yet. Thought it better to have it done and set up before I show it to him.
Doing lousy on eating but promise as soon as Thanksgiving is over I'll do better. You would think that with this marathon house cleaning/bookshelve assembly and exercising I would be skinny by now. :fr:
You guys have a great day.

Good Morning. Is it Friday yet? Only Tuesday, and I'm beat. Not good. Especially since there is no rest in sight for the weekend. This is the weekend I go on business with DH. It's gonna be run, run, run.
On the plus side, not much time to attatch to the couch and even less time to overeat.:dizzy:
Jello, good luck at weigh-in. Sounds like you might be spending the Holiday in Motovationville.
DNW, down again! :strong: Good Girl!
SEMO, how'd the shelf come out? Did you win? It sounds like it will be nice when you are done...little baskets and all. I need some of that organization at my house.
Well, gotta wake up the demons for school. Let The Games Begin!

OK, tomorrow there should be about 6 inches of snow on the ground when all is said and done. Sometime during all that falling :censored: stuff, we've got to get to the airport and will be travelling the major highways along with half the population of planet earth. And remember, Jello's got this horrid, crippling fearful phobia about winter driving.
I'M SOOOOO NOT HAPPY!!!!! I'm so stressed out I can't see straight!!! The good news is that I'm too stressed to eat.
Dropped off doggie at mom and dad's last night. Didn't get home until almost 10, went to bed and tossed and turned all night. Needless to say, I'm really cranky. :tired: Everyone better stay outta my way today!!!!
Weigh-in tonight. I'm ever hopeful. Don't know if I'll be able to report in before we leave but will let you all know when I get back.
If I don't get another chance, let me say to all of you....
HAVE A HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!!
Don't eat too much. ;)

Jello: I am sure your trip will be fine but I hear you about driving in bad weather :fr: I would rather they pull my entrails out through my belly button, then drive in snow...
We are also going to have crap for weather tomorrow. But the good news is Thanskgiving Day will be beautiful...have a great time with the family.
Dyan, Tiffany, Cafe, Huntress, all the best and we really miss you all so much :grouphug: ...I'll take my picture down if that helps.

Hi everyone!
I'm not totally caught up on posts yet, but I wanted to drop by before everyone leaves for vacations.
Sorry about disappearing for a week - last week was my boss's last week in our division, and my other boss is on vacation this week so we had a lot to get done before he left. Plus, my sister was in town as you know. So I was a very busy girl. Not focused on my WL goals. But not entirely abandoning them. I'm not about to do that this time. I'm in it for life, now, ya know?
Still, I had a great weekend that made me very motivated. And I'm really looking forward to a 4-day weekend! Things are going well at work - I'm using the short work week to do a lot of organizing in my office.
So sister's on the train on her way back to the left coast. I wish I was going to the west coast!!! I love the pacific. Ah well, I've got some fish to fry right here in the frozen north.
I really can't say more until I finish reading. :grouphug:

Still stuck at 258 but that's OK. I am still going to enjoy myself tomorrow. Sore from working out at the gym yesterday but a good sore. Finally got rid of the cold that was lurking around and threatening all week long.
Lots of love to everyone near and far and also I hope to see everyback on the thread this weekend.
Also we reallly do have to start a new thread on Sunday 'cause this thread will barely move. I will private message everyone on Saturday with the news so they know when they all come back from wherever they are.
Love to All!
