I'm here. I thought I was moving along quite nicely and might get out of the 160s before September, but alas, I "gained" 2 pounds overnight. I'm at 167 this morning. Really need a whoosh now!

Oh yeah, a fellow 160-er. ;) I know you're anxious to move out already. That's exactly how I felt about the 170's. Funny how we're so excited to get into a new decade, but that excitement quickly turns to frustration.

I'm holding at 161 this past few days and desparate to see the 150's. It seems I always get stuck just around the decade mark. I have til Sunday before we go away on vacation again for a week and I'd be ecstatic if I could see the 150's before then, so I'm going to give it all I've got.

I'd love to join you in getting out of them ASAP! I was 164.5 on Friday but I'm always bad on the weekends...I'm just getting to bed here (past 3:30 AM) so I'll weigh in when I wake up. I would LOVE to be 159 on Aug 30th (first day of school).

Back down to 165.5 - where I was at the beginning of last week. Hopefully the 1.5 I "earned" last week will vacate and take some extra with them this week. I keep forgetting I'm in the 160s. I'm happy to be here, but ready to leave!

I had so many comments at work this morning. No one asked how much I'd lost, which surprised me. But several said things along the lines of "Now that you've lost all the weight...yada, yada, yada" and it took me back. I haven't lost "all" the weight. But I didn't say that. I just thanked everyone for the compliments.

Yeah! Hello! I'm still in the upper 160's where I think I will remain for a while. I'm trying, but the pounds just aren't coming off very fast anymore. On the plus side, when I do lose pounds, they tend to really stay away. I'm generally pretty confident that most of what I lose is FAT.

I had a whoosh last night of a pound and a half! Finally! And it's weird how you know it's coming. One, I have to go to the bathroom a lot without an increase in water and two, my skin gets loose all of the sudden. Lovely, right? :dizzy:

I am enjoying the mid-160's.

Joining in! Weighed in at 169.8 this morning. I was originally hoping to weigh 160 by the time school started again but that's definitely a stretch now. Still hoping to reach 130 by the end of the year though! TOM will be happening this week so hopefully I get a whoosh.

Yeah, my weight loss has slowed WAY down. I no longer have any time related goals because really, my body is going to get there in its own sweet time.

I'm up, 169.0 this morning. I ate a bit later than I would have liked last night, not bad food at all, but late (11pm). I'm back on track today and the kitchen closes at 9pm this time! lol

I'm in. I whooshed in to 167. I tend to lose slowly and stall every few weeks so I may be in for a while. I'm excited to be here. I truly cannot remember the last time I was at this weight. Its hatd to describe but i feel like a bit of normal with chubby thrown lots of places, but normal is starting to show through. You can feel ribs when you touch me and i have some muscle definition on my arms and legs. That said, I wouldn't mind saying goodbye and hello to 150s.

That's my pattern too...stall two, lose two.

I'm liking the 160's. :D It translates to a size 10 for me in most pants. I feel like I'm in that sweet spot of being happy with my body, but willing to lose more too. The only part of my body I really do not like is my belly. :( I have a small waist, but that belly. Goodness, what babies do to us. :rofl: And now the stretch marks are doing weird things, like wrinkling. That just makes them more pronounced!

I'm still here! This thread doesn't get as many posts because the taller chicks reach a healthy BMI earlier, so the shorties are still here, but the numbers trying to get out of the 160s start dropping off. I haven't been posting lately because I've been stuck for a month (even though I haven't gone off plan even once! - stinks). I finally dropped a little this morning, so I'm now 163.5 and officially overweight! :carrot:

Closing in on 50 lbs lost...

I'm at 161lbs this morning. Had got down to 160 but a holiday and totally off plan eating with no exercise put paid to that. So 1lbs left of the gain to lose, and then hopefully I'll be in the 150's!

I hadn't thought about the tall folks not so much seeing the lower numbers.

I've been calorie counting this week and have been doing well with it the past three days now. But it is not showing. Right now I'm wondering if sudafed causes water retention. :rofl: I know it dehyrdrates, so it seems backwards.

Anyway, 167.6. I'm still thrilled to be here, which is good because I think I'm going to be here for a while.

Hello fellow shorties! Welcome Terre. I was 166.2 this morning. I am glad to be here. Would I like to be lower? Yes! But I'm trying to enjoy this moment too. I have not been this weight since.... at least 12 years ago. I'm enjoying my new energy level, clothes, and doing things I've not been able to do. That said, I don't want to get TOO comfortable here. I've got a long way to go to get to "normal" weight.

Eliana, I went up 1 lb when I had a cold last week. It went away the next day though. Hopefully the same happens for you.

Kuchick, congratulations on being overweight!

Grrrr! I saw 159.5lbs for a fraction of a second this morning, before it changed to 160lbs again....
I'm still happy though, that means all the holiday gain is now gone in less than a week, so hopefully it will all be new territory from here.

Kuchick I don't know whether to say "yeah" or "awe"! LOL! Probably a little of both. I'm sorry to hear you're sick! I'm sick with allergies myself. The worst of it is I have FIVE canker sores on my lips! That's not allergies. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I get a new one every day.

I'm up a touch today, but we had friends over for a BBQ last night, so I'm not surprised. I'm not up much and still trending down, so here's hoping. And I swear my pants are looser this morning, which I haven't felt in a while! :carrot:

So 167.2 today.

Thanks Kuchick :hug: You're doing great I can't wait to get into the low 160's :) You may want to up your calories for a day or so by 100 and it should start the scale moving again. That's what I was told to do. And even though I didn't want to I did and it worked. However it's very hard for me to get up to 1600 calories on most days. Hope you're feeling better.

Thanks Jennie, You're doing your thing .6 down WTG :) I told you I'm trying to catch up with you. hehehe :hug: But you know I always have my stalls every month. BIG sigh ... I am really hoping September will be smooth :D .

Sorry if that sounds ignorant but that is the first time I have ever heard of throwing up causing anything like that. I do hope it doesn't take long for things to get back to normal for you. :hug: I have definitely learned something new.

I stayed the same at 168.8 hope to see 167 at least in the morning :D I was thirty so I had a 16oz glass of water hope that doesn't mess me up because sometimes the extra water gives me a gain in the morning :(

love2b150 - Thank you and yes I'm feeling a lot better. Eyes seem to be healing up nicely too. LOL kinda sucked that it happened when it did, I was planing on getting my Wa drivers license that next day...not happening with two black eyes haha so gotta wait.

As for me, I'm still hanging in there at 167.4 today. I was on plan yesterday, but I'm sure my body is still in shock from what happened. I even managed to make 2 big batches of Oatmeal cookies for my boyfriend and I didn't have a single cookie! yay!

Well today is DAY 100 for me. I am up .8 though at 169.6 :( combination of baked beans with a hot dog and needing my eight hours :) I'll do better tomorrow.

I'm actually trying to up my calorie intake...It scares me a little. I mean I've always kept my max calories between 1200-1500 but I usually kept it in that lower end. I've been feeling super hungry this past week so I'm going to try and keep it at the higher end and crossing my fingers my body accepts it. lol I ate almost 1400 yesterday and I'm still at 167.4, we'll see what happens tomorrow on the scale >.< If I can manage 1lb a week I'd be happy! lol

I'm still at 162 and have been for 3 days. Still happy to be here though. Three days means it's a real weight and is still 50 pounds lost, so I don't have to update my signature! I think I'm going into a stall 3 weeks and do a crazy rain dance style weight loss dance to lose in the 4th week. I guess the 30 pound home stretch is going to be a struggle.

I finally saw a new low yesterday! :carrot: But I bounced back up again today. :rolleyes: Still, I think I'm on the downward track again. I've cut my calories significantly.

I got to change my chickie yesterday! :D Today she's not quite accurate, but I snatched the 165 (and 70 pounds lost) the moment I saw it and ran with it!!

It's nice knowing we're all struggling. :D Sorry! LOL! It's amazing that it gets this hard this soon. I wasn't expecting the big slow down for another 20 pounds. For me, it's been about calorie creep. I maintained really well, which is good to know, but cutting calories has definitely helped.

Still 166.0 today. I did see 165.8 pop up a couple times, but I'd rather take the higher number...I'll see 165 sooner or later. LOL I HOPE sooner! Ive been stuck here for most of this month now. >.< Seems like I've been losing most of my weight during TOM these past couple months so if thats sticks, I should start to lose again this week.

soooo lots of water today, and my roommate wants to join the gym with me! It's nice to have a buddy and support in real life, too.

Uh...low. :o I'm not the best calorie counter. I eat mini meals and keep them at or below 200 calories. Suffice it to say, in order to lose my calories need to be below 1200. :^: I know people don't like to hear that, but that's the way my body works. I'm healthy, I'm getting a vitamin supplement, they're all power calories and I'm short! LOL! I was maintaining the 160's at 1200-1300 calories.

Oh good! LOL! You know it's taboo to say such things here. ;) It's just different for those of us with fewer inches. We just have to trust that we're all responsible adults who are doing GOOD things for our bodies. If I were a developing teenager I'd worry. :rofl: That ship has sailed! (And it took all my snacks...)

Can I join this boat? I'm at 1200-1300 calories and have been maintaining. I have to drop my calories again. Being short and getting older for lack of a better word, sucks. Ten years ago, I maintained 180 for 5 years. With no change in diet habits, I gained 30+ pounds slowly over the following 5 years. I had no change in exercise habits either, so my metabolism has apparently gone to the dogs now. I'm shooting for 1100 calories for the next 2 weeks to see what happens. :)

LoveMyBoy, the excitement for the 160's has worn off for me also. I just want to see a number below 165 and I think I'll be satisfied for about two weeks of it :lol:

Eliana, I'm short also. 5 feet and 3.75 inches ... I haven't been doing great at counting my calories here lately either. I rarely get to 1600 and when I do it's because I ate something I know I had no business eating. I think I do better on lower calories also but I'm afraid that when the time comes and I ever need to lower them I won't be able to. When I actually get out and do my 3 mile walk, I really don't pay attention to high or low calories but here lately I have been slacking on the walks. :( Which vitamins do you take? I was taking Centrum because my husband bought them for himself and wasn't taking them but I couldn't tell if they were doing anything so I stopped.

See Eliana, Terre and Kuchick, this is what I'm afraid of having to drop my calories if I take them down to 1200 daily. I would have days where I know I'd be starving and would eat crackers all day. My hat is off to all of you for being able to do it. I love oyster crackers and will grab a hand full or two or more when I'm feeling hungry. But I do try to eat 5 small meals.

I just take a women's daily vitamin, store brand. It helps with fatigue.

I suffer hunger for the first three days I lower calories and after that I'm good to go. I find the lower calories to be sustainable as long as I watch for calorie creep. My portions tend to creep up if I'm not watching carefully. All I did to get the calories down this time was cut way down on nuts so that rather than eating them daily I eat them two times a week, three tops. I virtually cut out chocolate and I was eating a lot of that. And I took out treats. So now, I guess, I feel like I'm on a diet. :( But it's not so bad.

I had a woosh down this morning! I am down to 167.8, and am crossing my fingers that it doesn't go back up. I drank almost a gallon of water yesterday, so I know I'm not dehydrated.

My first day at the gym in about 5 years went fantastic... brisk 45 minutes on the elliptical, half an hour at 3.0 with a 6% incline on the treadmill with long strides (great for your behind!) and then core, shoulders, chest and back with weights. ahhhhh it felt sooo good to be back. can't wait to go again today.

Short Ladies- I am about as short as they come at 5 feet and half an inch... I keep my calories between 900-1100. I also have hypothyroidism, (the reason I got fat in the first place!) so my metabolism is slow on top of the low regular BMR. I've realized that the only way to really lose the weight for me is to burn the calories off at the gym, which is why I joined. I also plan on lifting weights and building up some good muscle so my metabolism will get higher.

First day back? :yikes: That sounds pretty close to a normal day on for me and I've been back at the gym since January!! And I consider myself to be pretty gung-ho!

I'm impressed! The elliptical is something I always had to work up to! 45 minutes the first session is quite impressive, and then to do more?! :carrot:

Well, it was my first day back at the actual gym, but I have a treadmill at home I have been doing C25K on, and I take my dog for 5 mile walks on a hilly road every morning. So I've been working on my cardio since February.

Several years ago, when I was in my early 20's, fit, and skinny, I actually used to work at a Gold's Gym. I think maybe some of that muscle is still under there, under all the fluff :)

I have had a fantastic week weight-wise...life wise not so much. I've been SO busy! Dropping the calories has given me a THREE pound loss this week! That's HUGE considering I've been stalled for a few months.

My workout this morning was tough! We had a substitute for our body + abs class and whoa! She had us running between sets and/or doing jumping jacks which kept our heart rates up the entire time. And the ab stuff? Oh my! :yikes: I admit, my abs are weak. I have a tendency to put them off.

I had a great workout again this morning, because I am going to go have a couple beers and watch football with some friends at four... I told myself no beer unless you burn off those calories at the gym.

I can do planks and crunches like nobody's business, but leg lifts?? Oh my! Maybe it's because I carry a lot of my weight in my legs. Hmmm...hadn't thought about that. She had us doing leg lefts and pec flies at the same time. :yikes: It was crazy hard! And after she had exhausted my muscles with that workout, she had us do a ridiculous number of crunches and then the bicycle. By that point my muscles were saying nope, no more! LOL! And then it was back to crunches and more bicycle. :rofl: Yikes. I may try to repeat it tomorrow and really strengthen that area.

Up a half pound this morning and I'm so surprised it wasn't more! Every now and then I treat myself. Last night I went to Bravos and had the salmon salad. So good! But who knows how many calories it has? I ate half of it and took all the shoestring potatoe fry things off. Then, DH and I split creme brulee and a chocolate cake dessert. That's what should have packed on some water weight if nothing else! But nope, not really. Just half a pound. I'm curious to see what the scale will do tomorrow with a day of clean eating today.

The 150's just might actually be a reality!

I like the sound of your class! it sounds tough, but I like to be pushed at my workout. Leg lifts are the worst... I do 3 sets of 10 right now, and it's painful... but it's the best exercise for those pesky lower abs. I also have been using a medicine ball to enhance my regular crunches, I really feel it.

oh and creme brulee is my FAVORITE dessert... i am not a dessert person, but if there is creme brulee, I am all about it.

Today I was making my bed, when I heard a great crack-thump outside, so I looked up just in time to see a tree limb crash right through my glass french door that opens up to the deck outside my room. I was in shock and then just screamed an obscenity.

Glass shattered across 18 feet of my room, in my bed, my couch and my dog's food, bed, toys... under the closed door of my bathroom, in all the little cubbies and containers in my desk... it was EVERYWHERE.

So I am having a beer right now that it is all cleaned up. I might even have a second.

As for me I am up this morning the scale was 167.6 which is 2.6 up from my low of 165 on the 24th. I didn't do great today so I expect a gain tomorrow also. You all are doing great, keep up the great work :hug:

well today I am 159.4 Two days in a row in the 150's :) But I dont wanna start another group. I dont wanna leave yall... This decade will take me to goal. Kinda bitter sweet. I wanna get to goal, but I don't want to stop what I am doing. I am scared about upping my calories to maintain. I dont want to gain. Anywho I got 9.4 lbs to go so I guess I will worry more then..lol

I do have 4.4 lbs and I go and get my 100lb loss tattoo :) yea!!
