I've been reading through all these great threads and getting great ideas, and motivation....but I'm starving today I know it's only day 2, and my coach told me that I should be feeling better by day 3 or 4. I hope he's right! Was it like this for all of you who have been on IP in the beginning? I'm staying strong, but this is sure testing my will power! Oh, and I am going to have to have an extra IP snack today to make it through; or it could get ugly at my house!LOL
Any suggestions or even letting me know how long the initial discomfort/hunger lasted for you would be great!
Just hang in there. The first 2-3 days are rough. You're hungry because your body has to adjust to the change in your diet. You're right to have the extra IP snack. I found that I was super hungry on day 2 and day 3, but by day 4 I was in ketosis and I felt really good. Hang in there.
Just eat your extra pack and try not to focus on the hunger. I remember on my day 2 I would go outside and walk for a few minutes to get my mind off of it.
Day 2 was my worst day too. I had one of the worst migraines I've ever had. I couldn't even get out of bed. I was so hungry that I was shaking, but at the same time the thought of having to choke down protein packs and veggies made me more sick! I stuck it out though and by day 4 was feeling fantastic. Give yourself the chance to succeed at this and be strong...the rewards are well worth it!!
Hi, IP newbie on Day 2 here, too! Yesterday was just weird but today was ROUGH! I'm a hypoglycemic and a few times today I would have bet money my blood sugar was crashing (headache, nausea, sweating, shaking) but it was fine when I checked my blood. Hang in there, I'm right there with ya!
I'm on Day 2 as well and for some reason it's a much better day than Day 1... yesterday I was literally sick and shaky but today much better. I think I was getting rid of lots of toxins in my body!! Hopefully tomorrow will be better and not like your Day 2! I hope on Day 4 we are both feeling great!! Hang in there and we'll get thru this!

I felt better by day 4. I am on my 14th day, but my weigh in isn't until Saturday. I really don't crave sugar or carbs right now. Its amazing. Those first few days were WAY hard!!!!! I'm glad I hung in.

Thanks so much for asking! I kept switching back and forth from the weak/weird feeling to suddenly hyper like I could run around the office but today was definitely better! I do not like the pineapple-banana drink, but that's the only one so far I really could not stand. (I drank it anyway...) I want to thank everyone for the recipe threads, those will be a huge help!
I'm on day 2 too! I don't find that I'm hungry, but I am a little burpy and have been getting bad headaches.
The pineapple banana drink is gross. It was my first IP meal and I said to my fiance "there is no way I'm going to last a week if this is what I have to eat!!" I exchanged some stuff from my "starter bag" because just thinking of some of the flavors made me gag. There was no way I was going to eat lemon pudding!!
Glad to hear you're feeling better Nicoleah! Tucker hopefully we'll all feel GREAT by tomorrow! I just had a the blueberry pomogrante shake and it was very refreshing if you haven't tried that one it's good. I'll steer clear from the one's I hear bad reviews from on here. I also really liked the vanilla pudding, and the chicken soup with some sauteed vegetables added to it. I'm really starting to think I might actually be able to do this

Glad you made it through the day successfully! I had my first weigh in yesterday and my coach told me that warm liquids help keep you feeling full. Was new to me but at those times when you could eat a horse, something to remember! :-)
I completely understand! I am now on day 8, and I think it is getting easier. Day 2 I thought I was going to die, but I am still here! I couldn't have gotten through the first week without 4 packs.
