Default calories in middle of night add them to yesterdays total or todays?

So I had a really low calorie day yesterday I only got to 900 honestly I felt pretty fine around around that I had gotten so busy I had skipped lunch and snacks and just had regular dinner.. around 9:00 pm I went to bed thought I felt satisfied but I woke up around 1 am and STARVING and did something really bad I had a midnight snack for the first time in ages ... rather not a snack but a mini binge.. I stuffed my face with a ton of wheat thin crackers and laughing cow cheese- I know it could have been worse it could have been cookies or doughnuts like my old midnight snacks were- but I started stuffing my face none the less. I should have just eaten something before I went to bed knowing I was so low on calories. I aim to eat 1300-1500 on days I'm not active and I was not active at all yesterday..

My question is do I add that food I ate in the middle of the night to yesterdays calories? Or add them to today's calories? If i add them to yesterdays It would have put me around 1800 cals for that day if I put them on first thing today that meens I have to start my day off already at almost 900 calories! YIKES! help!

I don't eat in the middle of the night, but if I did, I would draw the line at midnight, since that's the official change-over. Some people begin counting their calories/points/etc at dinnertime every day, so really, it's a personal thing. Just be consistant, and it will work out in the end.

Honestly, I don't think it matters when really. Your 2 day will average out. You'll know it is going to be skewed. Your one day will look really low, but the next will be high.

I'd personally put it on the next day and live with a high day.

if you're gonna under-eat again today, then add them to yesterday. Just don't make that same mistake. Otherwise I don't think it matters. 1500 is really really low. Are you sure you can keep that up long term? Figure out your calorie needs: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

Divide them between both days?

I usually count midnight as the divide.

But it doesn't matter what you pick so long as it is always the same so there's consistancy is your log.

Your body won't care. But if putting them on today tempts you into eating too low again, I'd "count" them yesterday.
