Who is with me?!


My goal is 10lbs, I will weigh in once a week on Sundays, and again on the 31st for a final weigh in...

I will update losses at least weekly- so you can choose whichever weigh-in day you would like... but you should weigh in weekly and on the 1st and the 31st.

My goal for August is also to lose 10 lbs, so I would love to be a part of this. This is my first challenge here, so I will have to remember this!!! This will give me some added motivation and accountability, so thank you!

I'm reading with interest. Hmm....It's not like I have any control over how much I lost at all, but...

I had been averaging 4 pounds a month and lately I have been losing 8 pounds a month. I'd love to see a 10 pound loss! School/work is starting and that would give me a nice focus to continue the exercise as hard core as I've been doing all summer.

So ok! LOL!

Ok fisrt weekly weigh in was on friday, sorry a few days late!
Really frustrated because I've been right on calorie wise all week and still gained .02lbs. Ugh, weighed in at 182.2. Determined to get thru this stall! Will be starting 30 day shred tomorrow, hopefully that will get the scale moving this week!!

pamepinto-I am sure that the 30DS will get you through that stall. Jillian kicks butt(and you'll think she is the :devil:, I have it and should really get back into it.(now it is my turn to say UGH...lol) Just don't weigh(or don't get discouraged) the first few days after starting it because your muscles are sure to hold onto water...

Ive only lost ten lbs in a month once on this journey and to do it I did the fatsmash detox phase where I could only eat fruits and veggis along wtih a few other things. So im curious

Matilada- I, personally, am doing a "whole" lifestyle... I try to eat mainly 70 %veggies and fruits with a bit of grains here and there... mostly limited to one meal a day... I also try to stick by the south beach guidelines of dieting... 10 lbs is a big goal and not easy to accomplish but with a little over 4 weeks to do it I thought Why not try?! lol

Sorry I missed this question! I'm not doing a whole lot. :o I just like to see how close I can get. But here's what I do:

This month I'm back to cutting back on calories trying to break through a plateau.
I eat mostly whole foods.
Spin class three times a week, lifting three times a week and extra activities in between. I also walk on the treadmill while on the computer or watching TV.

Scale is moving at a snail's pace but at least it is moving :)

I'm doing calorie cycling and workout on average 5x a week (boot camp, jillian michaels, bob harper and Jackie warner videos) to get to 10lbs in a month.

Hoping for a big drop next week :)

rdw1, my pattern is to lose for two weeks and then stall for two weeks almost like clockwork. I'll lose four pounds in two weeks and then nothing which gives me a four pound per month average.

If I divide what I've lost since this attempt began, 28.2lbs in 13 weeks, and multiply it by the number of days left in this challenge, I "should" lose another 2.8lbs, taking me to 9.7 off - see, I said it would be near run!
If I divide what I've lost in this challenge, 6.9lbs in 3 weeks, and multiply it by the number of days left in this challenge, I "should" lose 2.9lbs, taking me to 9.8 off. Boy, nip and tuck, neck and neck!

I think I will do this again next month even though I really really did horribly and so far only gained this month :( Starting over fresh today and not going to beat myself up over it but we should have a challenge next month too!

248 today, but smack in the middle of TOM, so I'll try not to cry! I'm hoping tomorrow will be a good day and that somehow, magically, the scale will show 245 on the 31st. I'm really trying not to get down on myself for not making the 10 lb goal, because even the 7 that I have as of today is good. I just really wanted that 10, and I know I could have been there if I had just worked harder. I guess we'll see what the next two days bring!

Sorry so late, but no change AT ALL in over a week :( getting pissy about it, but whatever- won't make 10 lbs but I'm up for the challenge next month, def helped me keep a goal and accountable even if I didn't manage to lose all 10!

Today the scale bounced back a bit in the direction I wanted! I must be getting rid of some of this TOM water weight because I was at 246.2 today, so even if I don't go down by tomorrow, I've lost 9 lbs since the beginning of the month, and I'm not going to cry about that! Not to mention, my original goal for August (not in this thread) was to get to 248, so I already achieved that one. Yay for me!

Ok, so here is what happened:

Starting weight on August 1: 202.3 lbs.
End of August goal: 192.3 lbs.
Current weight: 194.9

I didn't reach goal, but 7 lbs. for this month ain't too shabby considering I had my kids sick for two weeks out of the month and then last week, I couldn't work out at all because I was home with my son (he just went back to school yesterday). So all in all, I'm pleased, even though I would have loved to lose a bit more. As long as it's headed in the right direction, that's a good thing. ;)

That is 6.4lbs down for the month. Could have been higher but there was some last minute weekend damage.

Congrats to everyone on the challenge, I myself gained this month but I learned from it... so we are all winners of something :)
