One of the most motivational things for me to get moving is music. Music really gets me moving and makes me extremely happy. My tastes are very diverse and I am open to most genres. I am looking for new music to add to the ipod to really get me motivated to exercise so tell me what your most motivational song is when you exercise. What really gets you going and pushes you to do more?

The most truly motivational ones I have are (some repeats!),

Fighter - Christina Aguilara
Lose Yourself - Eminem
Goin' the Distance - Rocky Soundtrack

This one might sound funny, but Now or Never off the High School Musical 3 soundtrack -- that one gets me going like crazy! hahaha Yes, I have a tween daughter :p

You think YOUR taste in music is weird!?

All I listen to is 70s and 80s country and 80s heavy metal!!!

Willie Nelson
Kenny Rogers
Garth Brooks
Waylon Jennings
Johnny Cash (you GOTTA have the Man in Black!!!)
Conway Twitty
Keith Whitley
Shania Twain
Terri Clark
Alan Jackson
Toby Keith
Clint Black
George Strait

Queensryche
Megadeth
Poison
Def Leppard
Motley Crue
Skid Row (with Sebastian Bach, of course!)
Guns n Roses (old school GnR, with Slash and Duff McKagan)
Type O Negative (RIP Peter Steele)
The Bangkok Five (punk metal from Hollywood)
Green Day
The Cult
AC/DC
Slaughter

And every now and then there's a little Backstreet Boys or Salt n' Pepa... And if I'm REALLY feeling old school, it's Run DMC, Tone Loc and Young MC!

MisfitRycher, when I'm in the mood, I love me some 80s big hair rock! :D I don't know how well it would work for running though. Hrm... :chin:

My cooldown song after working out is "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus.

It is a great song to make me realize that what I just did was not the most fun or the easiest thing I have done, but it is gettimg me to what I want most right now and that is health, strong, thin...and one hot mama! :)

I also love to workout to 80's - Wham "Wake Me UP before you Go Go" and Aqua "Babie Girl" and my ultimate secret song ...Hannah Montana "Who Said" LOL but if you listen to it, it is quite inspriational!

A really good one is "Black Betty" Ram Jam - VERY upbeat and keeps your steps up and booty moving!

Bigger Than My Body - John Mayer - for some reason this song pushes me through when i hit a wall.
Call Me - Blondie
Crawling - Linken Park
Flashing lights - kanye west

A bit diverse in styles, but they work for me!

I'm gonna have to be the weirdo here. I love Japanese Pop music. There is a show called Initial D about a bunch of illegal drift racers that has a TON of dance music to go with it (and in English!) The beat is just about perfect when I'm running 4-5 mph, my feet hit the track in time with it.

Lady Gaga remixes would be second on my list. I'm addicted to Poker Face and Bad Romance. ;)
