Default Let's Challenge Ourselves to a Labor Day Success Story!

July 4th was yesterday. The summer is in full swing. And this is the time of year I wish I was already rocking a bikini bod, but alas I am here, fully immersed in summer and still far from my bikini bod goals. Sans the swimsuit ready weightloss, summer is still an exciting time. Long evenings, backpacking trips, bike rides in the summer sun, and great morning jog/walk kinda weather. Summer is time to be active! Gardens are pumping out lovely whole healthy foods that taste ripe and fresh form the local farmers markets, and chances to be active are everywhere! Since that potentially gluttonous holiday where we celebrate the bday of good ol' USA is now behind us. As is it's tempations to over imbibe. I think TODAY is a GREAT day to start a new challenge. I don't have experience with this, so I won't be tracking the weight goals and losses and such (as I am not sure how this is done by you other ladies) but I think we could post to this forum. Set a your current weight and your goals. And let's touch base and see the kinda great weightloss summer we can have if we are all motivating eachother!

P.S. I guess I could do a spread sheet or something? Anyone who has experience in these things let me know and I woul dbe willing to try to keep some tracking mechanism going .

My goal is 16 lbs by labor day. That is a tinge over 8 weeks away, and I would like to see 2 pounds a week.

I'm excited for all the joiners!
Passionista- I agree. Looking at what that number your going for it is exciting. I was 180.6 yesterday so 16 pounds 164. I cant remember being 164. Well maybe freshmen year in college. This is motivating. 2 pounds a week is hard work, but not a crazy unattainable weightloss goal. We can do this. I think I may post some stick notes with me goal weight around the house. You just gave me that idea. I don't want to become number obsesses, but I think that's a number I'd like to dwell on .

On a not so exciting note. I must face my daily update. I had a great workout yesterday and am quite sore. Ate pretty well on plan all day. Then met a friend after work last night for a drink, karokee was involved and I ate a mini piizza at like 12:30 at night. This "mini" pizza wasn't a lean cuisine one either it was 570 calories of extra food I did not need to eat. So today the scale reads over a pound heavier and it a great reminder that every choice has a consequence. And such choices are EXACTLY why I haven't managed to lose weight in the past. Dust off. I AM completelying this challenge, so best be putting last night behind me and pushing on for a healthy whole foods, right amount of calories, get my exercise in kinda day!

Smile I'm in!

I think this is a great idea!

SW: 186.6
8/1 182.4
8/8 No weigh in

On labor day I'd want to be 176.4! That would be GREAT!
