Good morning ! And Zan, what the heck does "woot" mean ?

zanheltangia
06-30-2010, 10:26 AM
Urban dictionary:

Woot originated as a hacker term for root (or administrative) access to a computer. However, with the term as coincides with the gamer term, "w00t". "w00t" was originally an trunicated expression common among players of Dungeons and Dragons tabletop role-playing game for "Wow, loot!" Thus the term passed into the net-culture where it thrived in video game communities and lost its original meaning and is used simply as a term of excitement.

My geeky-gamer roots are showing!!! *wince*

There probably won't be a sentance for a couple of months. I asked the Asst DA (After it was over) how I could find what his sentance will be. She gave me her business card and said to call her office, and I will as I am curious to see if he judge will use 3 strikes., it is all up to the judge. I felt sort of sorry for his mother weeping in the audience but wondered what kind of upbringing he had. My mother told me, as I was growing up that if I lie, cheat, steal and choose a life of crime there will be consequences to pay.

I got nuthin'

Well, I do, and it is not so good. This morning I am driving through an intersection on a green light when a car from the opposite direction turned left on a red light right in front of me. Of course I plowed right into her. Nobody hurt, but lots of damage to my car. In addition to running a red light, she has NO DRIVER's LICENSE !!! She does have insurance though.
Luckily for me I had a witness who told the police the same story that I did. I had the green light. The police officer told me his report will show that she is at fault. She also got a ticket for driving without a license. She will get a ticket for running a red light, too. That is several hundred dollars..and her insurance premium will soar. I don't understand how you get auto insurance when you have no license. My agent says he sees that all the time.

If you are having trouble at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, don't ever go to Costco !How right your are.

My first trip to Costco - first time ever in my life - was about noon on a Saturday. I ate about ten samples, mostly mediocre stuff, but the worst was a sample of Chef Boyardee canned ravioli. CANNED RAVIOLI. And even so, to get mine I had to jostle two little old ladies fighting to get ahead of me in line. In real life, we have ravioli about once a year which we get, that day, from a place that makes it in house - favorite being Pumpkin Gorgonzola available only in the late fall.

I can feel in my bones what the sight of the string of sample tables does to me when I walk in the door of that place. If I were an honest man, I'd attend Costco Anonymous.

Most of you know that I was recently in an auto accident, the bad news is my car is totaled, the good news is that the other drivers insurance will pay the claim. They were refusing to do so until I faxed them a copy of the police report that showed their driver to be at fault .Suddenly they changed their tune when they saw that their driver was not only unlicensed but ran a red light. I had an independenat, uninvolved witness. Bless that person who verified what I had said. The officer included his statement in his report which determined the other driver to be at fault.

That sure is good news, Bargoo. Kudos to your witness - too many people "don't want to get involved" these days.

This is Day 6 of my week with extra dogs and I am very pleased. I am still amazed at how well they all get along. I'll be bereft when two of them go home tomorrow evening and so will my two. Dogs naturally love being in a pack.

My dogs will "allow" any other dog to come in and play...inside or outside...until they are ready for bed...then you better just back away from their spots if you are a dog....

Ruthxxx

Yes, Disney was not pleased when Casey went to sleep on "her" chair but she was polite - just lots of her growly grumbles. She accepted a temporary place on my bed in exchange but that'll change Saturday night.

I have had enough drama for now. I am looking forward to boredom. My dog keeps me from getting too bored. He is not as well behaved as Gary or Ruth's dogs. This is his domain and he doesn't let just anybody in. 2 feet or 4 makes no differance to him. He is the king.

only my pride...wasn't sure about driving the car...crashed in front of the Dennys...1/2 mile from the concert...

called dad...he says...park car at the Dennys....go to concert with GF...see you at the car when the concert is over....

and THAT was not even my most exciting concert fiasco!

However the first time I crashed a car I was not quite 16...on a permit...rolled my Mustang with 2 adult men and my younger brother in it....about 1 mile from our house...(no one hurt) the first responding police officer was a California Highway patrolman that worked for my dad on the side...no ticket :)...when my dad showed up I was sitting on the bank with my head in my hands...he comes up from behind me and says...

"so, son....looks like you f'd up"....(he did use all the letters!)...
