Help ! Am really constipated. I have been drinking a huge amount of water, eating great, but seem to keep getting constipated. Any ideas?? I'd really appreciate a quick, natural fix, because it is making me rather miserable.

Are you using any fiber supplements? Those have helped me in the past-- Benefiber has been a lifesaver. Also, plenty of fresh and dried fruits like cherries, apricots, plums, etc.

How much water is a "huge amount"? Raw vegetables should help.

Try taking magnesium pills. I take 5 mag pills a day. No constipation anymore. :D

Ok, you all need to stop posting your constipation stories, because I think I'm starting to get sympathy constipation!
Fiber (veggies) and prunes. Chocolate is also a natural laxative, though not quite on plan.... Also, some aerobic activity can help losen things up and get it moving. And a hot bath can at least make you feel better.

Thanks for the ideas. I drink around 4 litres /100 ounces of water a day. Thats enough:dizzy: I think t could be the fibre, although I eat alot of veg. I'll just try some more !
For me this is a very negative thing, I like regularity :D
