300+ Club - Random - What do you see yourself wearing?

Hey hey,

so this is probably very random. :carrot:

I, for one, am not losing weight to 'fit' into certain clothing, but I'm wondering something:

When you picture yourself at or near your goal what do you see yourself in (bikinis, certain styles, athletic... doesnt matter)?

I'll be totally honest... LMBO... I am just super excited to fit into a tight leather dominatrix type catsuit!

:carrot:

and no I am not into that type of stuff, but to me those outfits are hot hot hot! And it's ONLY for hubby, not to wear out and about around town.

LOL.

Creative visualization is a huge part of my weight loss (there is a great book about it by Shakti Gawain) so I have a great mental image of myself in a cute khaki skirt and a crisp white blouse, great sandals with chunky sterling jewelry! Not too risque, but I sure would love to shop in Victoria's Secret instead of Granny Panties R Us!

I'm 20 years old, and I would personally like to wear a bikini one day, but I am fully aware there is a strong possibility that will not happen. Other wise I have a goal to fit into anything under a size 10! =D

Cute jeans that show off a booty that has been hitting the eliptical hard with a fitted (but not too tight) shirt and heels. I am ready to have cute jeans again!!

This thread got me thinking... I havent been picturing myself anymore at goal. So maybe that is part of the reason I got stuck. I can see myself in a cute workout outfit, and I also would love white dress pants and a flowly shirt. I want to be able to wear a cute mom of the bride dress also when my youngest gets married someday. I wore black to my older 2 childrens wedding. My sons wedding is what made me say NO MORE>>>I was miserable and fat.307lbs. By the time my daughter got married I was 225lbs and still stuck in that range.

Don't think like that! You are currently only a couple of pounds more than I was when I started and I wore bikinis in Spain last summer on holiday!!

Added to that you are young and (I presume) have had no children so you won't have so much of the loose skin/stretch mark issue that I have, so you will probably look MUCH better in a bikini than I do.

Believe in yourself!

I have yet to see myself wearing anything in particular. I just see more variety in my choices of clothing. No bikini's, haven't worn one since I was about 10 years old. No cute jeans or fancy tops, just more choices.

I want to wear a normal one piece bathing suit (no skirt) without feeling like everyone is staring at me!

I also just want to walk into Old Navy, or Penny's or Dillards and know that I will fit into all of the cute stuff there! I do not want to be regulated to Lane Bryant and the Avenue to shop.

really, really good answers lately!

Now, when we all reach our goal we can come back and read this thread again and see how far we've come.

I also, would love to wear more form-fitting (not super tight) really sexy (not sleazy) outfits, dresses (which is a no- no), and i definitely agree with the sleveless tops.

I'd also have to agree with the athetic outfits comment because yesterday when i went out for my walk, i realized that my workout pants don't fit anymore, and its because i've gotten bigger since i wore them last and they're already a bigger size! Sigh. :(

I would love to wear the cute, matchy, athletic workout outfits.

Ubercast, no worries hun!! You can do it, and you will be SOOOO proud of yourself when you do!

I see myself in cute athletic clothes going for a run. I see myself in pencil skirts for work and sundresses for fun. All with cute heels that I can't wear comfortably now...well no heels for running, lol.

I can envision myself wearing a one piece swim suit. Or any cute clothes in normal stores like JC Penny or Kohls without shopping in their plus size sections. I'd love to wear a pair of jeans or khakis that actually fit properly. I simply cannot find a pair of jeans that fit well and feel comfortable at my current weight. Pretty much all I wear now is stretchy capris and long tops.

I'm a skirt person (long flowey princess skirts), so I see myself in those, with tight wrap style shirts that are actually tight around the belly!

And also shirt corsets, for the same reason. Have you seen these? SO CUTE:

Hot shoes. I can't currently support my weight for very long on high heels and it hurts my knees to walk in them. Not all the time, but I'd love to be able to strap on something with a four inch heel for a night on the town.

Jeans! and poet blouses (hopefully they'll be fashionable then) and pants/shorts that button instead of elastic waist stuff. Tucked in shirts! This is the first time I've thought about specific clothing styles I'd like to wear :)

I have such a mental block about seeing myself at goal (or even close to goal)! I feel like in general I have a pretty good imagination, but apparently not good enough to see myself thinner. That could be a problem -- because I do believe that if you can see it, you can do it. So I really need to work on that! Okay, trying to get a mental image.............still nothing!

Whenever we're watching TV and they show someone with knee-high boots, DH always makes a comment about how much he likes them, and that I need to get a pair like that. Hahaha, the poor sweet fool apparently doesn't realize that I wouldn't be able to get a pair of boots like that zipped up past the ankle (If that!). :dizzy: I do appreciate that he apparently doesn't see all the pounds, but seriously? I can't really imagine miyself wearing something like that, especially since I'll be well over 40 by the time I hit goal, but I suppose I could buy a pair and just wear them for him as his reward for seeing me as a hot mama who could pull it off even at over 300lbs. hahahah We'll see.

I personally would be happy to not have to worry about if a shirt is long enough to cover my belly! Tucking in? Can't imagine!

Ooo, a pair of knee high boots would be HOT! I'd love to be able to wear a pair!

I mostly just want to be able to pull a shirt out of my closet (new or old, I don't care), throw it on, and go about my day! Not grab a shirt, stand in front of the mirror, examine all the lumps and bumps, suck it in, stick it out, put the shirt back in the closet, grab another one, think it looks okay -- from the front -- turn around and see my back rolls, take it off, put it back, grab another one..............

I just want to wear a darn shirt, for crying out loud! It shouldn't have to be such a process!

I see myself in a cute corset top with black capris and heels... I already have one corset top hanging on the wall of my room as inspiration! Heels have hurt me ever since I got over 200 lbs., so I'm psyched to someday be able to wear them again!

I love these threads.

I see myself wearing pencil skirts, fitted jeans, dresses, shorts, and someday, a bathing suit with no t-shirt/shorts over it.

The one regret I have is not being able to get in on the riding boots thing, since I've always loved them. Hopefully I'll be able to rock other cute kinds of shoes when I get to goal.

I have a couple of things I want to wear.

I definitely want to be able to wear a short skirt and knee high boots. Right now, I won't wear skirts shorter than calf-length, and knee high boots don't fit around my legs. I want to wear shorts, too. I'm way too embarassed about my thunder thighs to wear shorts.

I'd also like to be able to wear an empire waist dress and not look huge. I sewed one for myself recently, and I look awful with such a high waistline. And of course, I want to go sleeveless!

Oh, and a black tight catsuit does sound like something fun to wear for my fiance :)

I heard that Marilyn Monroe was a size 16, did some research on it and was disappointed to find out that with the sizing we have in today's culture, she was actually a size 10. I'm currently a size 20/22/24 depending on the style. I don't remember ever wearing a size 16.

And since I found this place, 16 isn't even the goal anymore.
Yeah, I'm going for that size 10.

It'd be so nice to be able to look through the store without automatically ignoring the clothes that aren't marked PLUS.

And the ability to wear a teddy for my guy without being completely self conscious would be great too.

I may have just started my journey, but I know I can go as far as I want to, with you guys. ♥

I want to wear a bikini again, but I gained over 30 pounds in less than a year so I have a LOT of strech marks on my tummy and hips. So if time and TONNES of vitamine E don't do the job, then I'll settle for a sexy monokini. But most of all I want to fit into whatever I want to wear. I never again want to be disapointed when I see that the cute dress I like only goes up to a 10, because I'll be a size 10 and it will look great on me.

I'm only 22, so I hope to be able to wear shorts in the summer (nothing very short, just like bermuda-style) and short-sleeve shirts, though I don't know if that'll be possible because I expect to have flabby loose skin on my arms. I really would be happy wearing what I wear now (cardigans and blouses, jeans, cuffed pants) just in a size 12 or so.

I'm not into tight-fitting clothes, even when I was a "normal" size (size 11 junior, 135 pounds during high school). I never even wore shorts or swimsuits in public then.

I'd love to be able to wear jeans and not have that squishy stomach fat bulging under the waistband, but I recognize that I'll probably never get rid of that because of loose skin that I'm sure will be left after I lose more weight. Kind of depressing now that I think about it :(

This is my favorite past-time! And sorry to necro a thread for it, but I couldnt resist!

I see lots of "Thai" style clothing. Stuff like the harem/genie pants on Etsy, babydoll dresses, etc. I want the fat to just slough off so I can wear those freaking things! ARGH

I think this is a great thread to resurrect, I enjoyed reading the responses and thinking about it.

Realistically I think I'll probably wear mostly the same things I do now, but smaller, because I really do prioritize and comfort and cost over fashion. But I daydream about wearing skirts and heels once in a while without it killing me for days after between the sore feet, twisted ankles, and chaffed thighs. That will be a real reward! And although I started losing weight and changing my life before my best friend started planning his wedding, I do look forward to being a smaller size and finding a dress more easily when I'm his maid of honour this spring!

I am too old to think I could ever attain a sexy body, I will have a lot of loose droopy skin I am sure. But I do have one dream.

When my husband is finished with his career here in America, we are leaving for Denmark in 3 years. We are taking the Queen Mary as our final splurge before frugal retirement.

I want so badly to just one more time, feel pretty, all dressed up in an evening gown, in low heels, wearing my pearls. Not in black either, I want something shimmery and in a deep jewel tone, something very elegant, something so Holly Golightly. That dream has helped me stick strong to my diet, even though it is some years away yet.

Oh, boy!! This thread is great! I see myself in a pale blue, 50's-style sundress with a fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline with a full, knee-length skirt and cute wedge heels with lace-up-ankle ribbons. Then I see myself on the beach in a high-waisted retro bikini. I also like to picture myself in anything that Joan from Mad Men wears! Can you tell I like retro styles? :P Only problem is, NONE of them look good on fat girls!!

I think I picture myself in the same clothes, but from different stores, right now I live out of Additionelle and Penningtons the have a clothing line MXM that they both carry that is very youthful which despite my advanced age just happens to suit my tastes. Though I would love to be able to buy a nice structured summer dress, something that can be dressed up or dressed down and has a flirty flair out. I tried on a few this summer that i loved only they couldn't do up. If I could wear something like that, with a cute knit shrug or cropped cardi, I would probably spin in circles over and over like a little girl. I am 31 but still very three-years-old at heart when it comes to that sort of stuff! :)

A dress.

I haven't worn a dress in almost 10 years because all the super sized plus size options were so ugly for someone in their early to mid 20's and now that I'm smaller, there are slightly more options (Torrid, for example) but I just don't feel confident enough to pull it off just yet.

So I'd like to wear a sleeveless short dress and look good in it. Preferably with thigh high boots.
