Default Red Lobster is making me nervous...

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend's family has requested that we all go out for supper tomorrow evening to Red Lobster. First of all, it's in my dining out companion book, but for some reason it's making me quite nervous trying to figure out what to eat when we go.

I'm not a big fish fan to begin with, on top of the fact that I am allergic to:
salmon, scallops, and oysters.

Any suggestions or favorites?

Maple-Glazed Chicken

Wood-grilled chicken breast with a sweet maple and cherry glaze, over wild rice pilaf.

I agree! Between (just one of!) their delicious little biscuits and the maple chicken, you'll love it. Nothing to worry about. If you are really concerned just quietly pull the waitress aside and ask that your food be handled with special care, prepared away from the items you're allergic to

They have a light house menu it has the calories , fat on it so you can check the points.

Then you can check their menu on http://www.dwlz.com/Restaurants/redlobster.html they have everything list whit the points.

Just becarefull their food has a lot of salt so drink a lot of water , so you won't see a fack gain.

And enjoy your meal i love red lobster.

Red Lobster has all their nutritional values on their website. You can go look and plug the numbers into your point counter. I went over Spring Break and was quite nervous but it turned out to be very reasonable. This is what I had:

wood grilled shrimp skewers (12 pieces of jumbo shrimp maybe?)- 3 points... only 140 calories!
rice pilaf- 3 points
baked potato (naked)- 3 points

9 points is reasonable for a whole meal out, I think! And I was quite satisfied! The cheesy biscuits they put out will get ya... 4 points each and, in my opinion, nothing to write home about. They're too salty to me. Just don't forget to add points for your butter/sour cream if you use it. Look at the Red Lobster site, though. It's very helpful. And don't forget that you can ask them to modify or substitute. When I've gone the wait staff has been very accomodating.

The Red Lobsters around here tend to DRENCH the salads in dressing - so much that they're almost inedible.

So if you order a garden salad or something, remember to ask for the dressing ON THE SIDE or leave it off altogether. On the rare occasions that we dine there, I get the fresh vegetables as a side instead of rice.

The wood-fired garlic shrimp is pretty reasonable in calories if you can eat shrimp. I'm not a big fish lover either; so I usually get shrimp or chicken.

I would get a bunch of boiled shrimp and a house salad with dressing to the side.
