100 lb. Club - Anyone ready for a 10 day challenge?

I haven't got a ticker yet but if I post a bit today I'll make 20 posts then maybe (??? not sure of the rules) I'll be able to set one up.

I'm 233 pounds starting weight.
A 10 day comittment to 100% will start me on a solid path. I'll weigh again at the end of 10 days.

Anyone else in?

IM IN 214.6 as of today. June 13th is my DDs 18th B-day. Im going to but my but to be 210 by then. I know its a TALL TALL order but I have a crazy busy week next week. 3 baseball games (I help coach) field day at school. Oh yeah 210!!!! in ten!

Sure, sounds fun! Even though I was 244 a couple days ago, today the scale says 252 :-(. If it's sodium weight, I would like my goal to be 235. If not, 243. Either way, 9 pounds is my goal!

Why not? Another challenge added to my list can't hurt! Tomorrow is my last day of work for the school year and I am going to begin a bootcamp on myself on Monday, so this is good timing. My goal will be 162 - that is 5.5 pounds down from yesterday's weight (today I am up with sodium).

Ok.. so last Friday I was 253.2, I had a somewhat off plan weekend and beginning of this week. Today the scale say 257.4, I'm sure some is water weight, and some is a slight regain. I'm shooting for getting past that 253.2, so my goal is 4.6 pounds to make me at 253 even at the end of the 10 days!

Start: 257.4
Goal weight: 253
Loss to get goal: 4.6

Starting to day, I'm in.
Was 302.8 this morning. I've been 5 days on plan with food but haven't been exercising like I should. Busy schedule with 4 kids some days and my husband is away until the 15th. So this should help!!

Ok..so I unexpectedly seemed to have surpassed my goal already. I know it's just that water weight, intial start woosh (plus TOM) but I'm glad to see it go anyway. Since our challenge isn't up until the 13th, I'm going to re-set my goal to 259. It's high but if you're gonna go, go all the way right? :cheer:

but I'm in! Even joining the group for the remainder of the 10 days is better than nothing. I really have to re-dedicate myself on a regular basis to be successful. I got a bit cocky with how easy the first 25 came off...now I feel like I'm slogging through mud, this next 25 won't be so easy!

My next goal is to just get to first 10% lost (-4 lbs to get to that). I can make a good dent in that in the next 5 days.

I hurt my wrist and have been taking advil, so I know my weight is going to be up....kind of depressing, but at least I am still working out.

Not weighing until next week, so who knows.

Got on the scale this am...saw 249.2 after only 3 days of being strictly op, following 1980 calories, light activity, drinking H20, tracking every morsel I eat, resisting b/f's icecream and oreos.

Yay, me!! And Yay, us all for sticking to our plans!

I have had a CRAZY week! I have stayed completely on plan PLUS extra 2 mile walks every night. I stepped on the scale today and it said 210. I'm not claiming it yet. I jumped on and off the thing over and over just to see if it would change. LOL We leave for a getaway mini vac June 25 so I have been working my butt off.

I will let ya know what the scale says tom.

Does anyone here just step on and off the scale once? ;) LOL I do about 5-6 'on-offs' every time I weigh. I go with the lowest (or highest) weight that I see twice.

My house is like 100 yrs old so the floor slopes in different directions in different spot of the house. I weigh in the same spot each day but I step on it twice just to make sure I get the same number. If I get a different number then I step on it again until I get the same number twice, without moving the scale. It's rare I get a different number but it does happen.

I weight in once in the mornings, but I step on and off the scale about 5-6 times...lol just to make sure the number is correct. Sometimes it fluctuates between say .2 & .4 I usually accept the higher number unless the smaller one pops up the most.

Speaking of which, I finally got a solid 189.6 this morning. Weight has been stuck at 189.8 for a few days then yesterday kept jumping between 189.6 & 189.8. This morning no 189.8 whatsoever! I know I'm gonna have a big loss here any day now to get me out of this funk!

I jump off and on the scale quite a few times. I usually take the weight that pops up twice. I thought I was nutso doing that and the only one.lol

My 1st ten-day challenge was started on June 4 and officially June 14 would be 10 days, but since that is Monday and I have already weighed for the week (I weigh on Thursday's) I am reporting a SUCCESS on my 1st ten-day challenge.

Starting weight 6-4: 290
10 day loss goal : 2 lbs
Weight on 6-10: 288--2 lbs lost! :carrot:

So.....since that worked so well, let's do it again!

June 11 Starting Weight: 288
10 Day Goal challenge: 2 lbs lost
Goal weight: 286 (will report on June 17)

This 10 day challange was a success for me! I love doing the 10 day ones cuz I can say to myself "just one more day". 10 day ones really do help me. Final weight today 209.8

sarcruze - Aww thank you! I didn't notice how close I was to this goal until I checked up on the thread. These past few weeks have been super hard for me, I was stuck at 189-188 for the longest time! But I'm slowly starting to see movement again...TOM is coming so I'm a little nervous about what is going to happen >.< Congrats on your 3lbs loss!!!

Jennie Thanx! Don't u just hate it when the scale is teasing u like that? It was happening to me these last two weeks. U know what is amazing though is that I actually lost like 5 lbs while I was on my TOM and when I finished that was when I had the fluctuation in my weight loss. But I am now seeing a positive downward movement on the scale. Good Luck! Hopefully u will have a loss while on your TOM like I did.lol

This morning the scale read 185.6! A 1lb loss; thats a second big loss this week and now I'm even more nervous about TOM...I'm crossing my fingers I don't gain.

I am now 232. WooHoo!!! It was all that dancing I was doing last night at the bar for 3 straight hours.lol

Jennie:I used to never dance in front of people either but once I get a few drinks in me I don't care. Especially when u see how the other people dance. They don't care and they r out there looking like fools so I join them. I like to go out cos its nothing but 80's music wednesday nights and I can dance to 80's music. I can't dance to hip hop, so I don't even try.lol It is definitely a great calorie burner, I burned almost 1300 calories from 12am to 2am. BTW, How did u lose all the weight? Congrats on your success! What did u do? If u don't mind u can message me. Thanx!

sarcruze - Haha it sounds fun! xD I started out just calorie counting (1200-1500calories a day) and doing a beginners pilate DVD. Then I moved onto 30 Day Shred and I did that for 2 months and slowly started adding in walks. After I completed the 2 months of 30DS, I started the P90X program. I'm currently on week 4 day 4 of P90X and since starting have lost about 8 lbs. I have almost consistently lost 5-10lbs a month, I think there were only about 3 months total since I first started losing weight that I maintained (I had started a new relationship so I kinda put everything on hold lol). I still go on walks, my goal was to walk at least 3 miles a week but I found I walk around 5-6 a week. Other than that, I just try and eat healthier, I don't drink soda and I try to stay away from sweets unless its a special occasion.

Dang Girl!!! That is awesome. I officially started my journey the beginning of Feb 2010. I didn't start counting calories till the middle of feburary and that really helped me out alot. Even though I was eating healthy I was eating too many calories still. I switched over to frozen meals cos it was easier to count calories that way and controlled my portions. I started exercising at the gym and ever since then its been pretty steady. I believe that the GWF has been my lil personal trainer and has pushed me harder. I exercise 5-6 days a week and I am thinking about hiring a personal trainer cos I don't want to be too flabby. I know its gonna happen a lil bit but I want to try and prevent what I can. BTW... I've learned that men can kinda derail your progress. Its happened to me in the past.lol

Haha, well your doing a wonderful job! I had lost a little over 80lbs in high school. Then I met my ex and gained it all back plus more. I met my current boyfriend 50lbs ago? When I met him, weight loss slowed for a couple months then I maintained for about 3. I'm so happy I was able to at least control myself, but it helps that he's been super supportive too...nothing like my ex. lol My ex wanted me to gain weight and to this day has an attitude towards me when I say how much better I feel to get back on track with my weight.

I was at 200 when I met my husband 8yrs ago. I had just lost 60lbs and was feeling good about myself. He was like 5'11 and 150 or 160 at the time. When we started dating, we would always go out to eat and I got comfortable and stopped going to the gym as much. BIG MISTAKE!!! I gained 45lbs back. We broke up after 3 1/2 yrs together and I lost those 45lbs. We got back together and I maintained my weight for almost a yr till I started having bad back problems and really couldn't do anything except lie down. So I gained almost 100lbs. It was depressing but I couldn't really exercise and I was eating like my skinny boyfriend. Pizza, fast food, ice cream, chips. He can eat like that but I definitely can't.lol. Being close to 300 is so depressing. I never felt confident about myself and I definitely didn't like having sex anymore. It sucked. We got married last year in March and I promised him that I would lose weight while he went to basic training for the Army cos I wanted to be healthy and feel good about myself. Plus I wanted enjoyable sex and a happy relationship. I didn't lose any weight and he came home 6 months later and I was really depressed and sad for him. He ended up getting stationed in South Korea In december and I was determined to lose the weight cos I was gonna move over there to be with him and I didn't want to be one of those fat americans. Plus I wanted to have fun n Korea and sight see and they definitely don't have plus size clothing. My major motivator for losing weight was that I didn't want to be stuck on a 16hr flight to Korea sooo uncomfortable and squished in my seat. I started losing weight at the end of jan, but kept losing and gaining it back. The beginning of feb was when I really started and was committed fully. What has helped me stay focused and determined is the seperation that my husband decided that he wanted from me. He told me he wanted a divorce and since then I have been so committed to weightloss cos it occupies my mind and exercising helps me with my anger and stress. I think I have dropped weight at a good pace but sometimes I wish it would drop off faster.lol. I want to know what I'm gonna look like when I am 180. Did u have those same feelings? Sorry for the long story.lol. How has losing all that weight help your self esteem and did it improve your relationship?

I hated how I looked when I was with my ex, and I couldn't believe I let myself gain like that. That moment I made a promise to myself I would get back to 140-150. I'm constantly thinking about how I'm going to look when I get to my goal, and not for some guy...but for me. This is all for me and I forgot that when I had lost weight the first time. Losing the weight I have has made me feel so much better about myself. There are times when I have bad days of course, but a majority of the time I feel like my old self. Even though this IS for me, that bonus IS looking good for my bf. Its normal to want to look good for your boyfriend/husband, but I'm not going to base my life off what HE wants. I straight up told my boyfriend before we even started dating, that I was working on my body and there is nothing he can do or say to change that. He is 5'10" 160-165lbs, so hes pretty thin himself and like I said he is very supportive. Weight loss in my relationship hasn't been a factor at all. Almost everyday since we met my bf has told me I'm beautiful and he doesn't just say it, but he shows it too. Absolutely nothing has changed because of losing weight and I think its because I'm just as happy now as I was 50lbs heavier with my bf.

I am also doing this weightloss for myself and at first it was to improve my sexual relationship cos I wasn't happy during the act cos of my weight. My health was deteriorating when I was at my biggest and i couldn't do anything. It sucked. my husband was worried that I was gonna end up in a wheelchair. I just can't wait to get passed the 200 mark. I haven't seen that since 2003. I dont even remember what I look like at that weight. I have 33 lbs to go. I've been trying to stay positive thru this journey cos its easy to give up when ur weight starts to stall, u know. What keeps me motivated is trying on some of my old pants that I've kept ahold of.lol. And going to torrid and trying on some of the smaller sizes.lol

sarcruze - As far as a sex life goes I can't really tell if there is a difference from my weight change physically. My ex was 6'3" 260lbs, not so much fat, but big...my current bf is 5'10" and 160-165lbs and pretty fit, so there is a complete difference right there. TMI lol but there is definitely more stuff in the bedroom you can do with a thin guy vs a big guy xD I guess being smaller on my part helps to, but I haven't noticed anything different with my bf since losing 50lbs, maybe the confidence thing boosted a little...But I'm still shy when it comes to him seeing my body (i have a little loose skin that bugs me prob more than it would him).

I also keep my old jeans, the ones I wore at my highest weight. When I'm having a bad day I put them on and it helps me remember how hard Ive worked to get where I am, and keeps me going for sure. I LOVE Torrid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 lol
