While I was posting in the "The Onederland Express" thread I brought up the idea of a Getting out of the 190's thread. So here it is. I am hoping that the 190's go as fast as the 200's did. Who will join me???

I decided to go a fruit and veggie week. So far this week it has been going good.

Im down for getting out of the 190's . . . . starting my fruit and veg tomorrow actually, weird. Monday is still technically my weekend, and since it's the 31st, figure I'll have my stew tonight and tomorrow I wont feel so tempted to eat it:)

I want to get out of the 190's, havent' been out of those in 19 yrs.
My goal for June is to lose 10 lbs which will take me there. Ya'll are great inspiration!!

Are ya'll only eating fruits and veggies?

Not for the whole month, not me anyways . . . I've noticed after a month that I'm not exactly impressed with myself with my food choices, if I start out for a week give or take, doing mainly fruits and veg I end up doing a lot better and feeling a lot better.
Just a personal prefference.

I to have not been eating too right here lately. So I started on Sunday and I am going to do it until Friday (with the fruits and veggies). I want to eat very healthy for a while to get me back into the grove.

Welcome everyone. Hope everyones Journey here in the 190's is a short one. I am really looking forward to every lb lost now that I am only 47lbs away from my final goal!!!

Good Morning all, After another now modified version of the fruit and veggie week I stepped on the scale and was 196.4. That means I have lost now 140.2 lbs. I am so excited. I am blowing out of the 190s..Cant wait to start the getting out of the 180s thread!!!

Uber on Sunday I decided that I am going to only eat fruits and veggies the entire week. I did it on Sunday and monday then on tuesday I realized how little calories I was eating so I add back a few things like peanut butter toast..My favorite..Plus some meat.

Weighed today and I am 196.2. It is only a .2 lost but it is better then a gain. I realized that last month I had lost 10 lbs. I have not lost 10 lbs in one month for quite a long time. Heres hoping June continues that trend!!!

I'm down to 194.4 this morning, trucking along to the 180's. I have circuit training with weights coming up so I'm not expecting much of a drop if any tomorrow.

Well I am up to 197.8 today. But I figure I have not slept to much here lately plus ate quite a bit yesterday. I know it will drop again soon. Oh..I almost forgot I measured my waist and it is finally below 40 inches..39 1/2!!!

190.8 this morning...but i was sick last night. I was hurting really bad so I took a hlaf of a oxycotin and man it about killed me. I couldnt even eat dinner and woke up today swollen :( I hope Monday I can be out of the 190's

Okay either the scale is playing a mean joke on me or my scale is broken. lol This morning I weighed in at 189.8! And that was the highest number that popped up, it kept jumping between 189.6-189.8. That is a HUGE loss...yesterday I weighed in at 191.4. Yesterday was also my p90x rest/stretch day. This will be my 2nd week of P90x, so maybe I AM losing. This is just too hard to believe and I don't want to leave this thread until I for-sure know I'm safely in the 180's. I have a feeling its gonna jump up a bit tomorrow though. O.O

I weighed in at WW yesterday at 193.4. I'm so glad. I was at 195 for-freaking-ever.

What's funny is I have this dress that only zipped up halfway like 10 days ago, and now it zips all the way, but it's tight. I have 2 weeks to fit it better :) Must be all the strength training I've been doing. Yayyy.

I weighed this morning at 196.2!! Which means I am back to what I weighed last Tuesday. I can't wait to see what I weigh on 6/10 as that will be my 1 year diet anniversary. I will be taking pictures and posting them for you all to see.

Over the last year and a half, I have lost slightly over 50 pounds. Over the last month, I lost slightly under 10 of that. I have recently added a personal trainer and more running to my routine, and that seems to be helping.

i weighed in today and it said 198 eeeek Yesterday it said 197 and the day before 196...I haven't been drinking a lot of water so I'm upping that to flush my system and I'm praying I haven't gained actual poundage. I decided I'm going work the hardest I have ever worked out to get out of the 190s it's always been my biggest block -- everytime I've reached the 190s (about twice before this try) I have regained all my weight back. But this time its different -- I'm not stopping and I'm going to just keep going. I've never been out of the 190s my entire adult life --- the last time I weighed below the 190s I was 13

I dont think there is yet. Last friday I was at 190.0 and just knew Monday I would start one...but nope I am up to 194.6 :( Hopefully you will start it, maybe that will get my body out of this gaining funk..lol ;)

I bounced in the right direction! 193.8 this morning...I think it was all the water I drank last night when I went out with friends. Nothing like going to happy hour and sticking to the H2O! I don't regret it at all...especially after stepping on the scale...it was well worth it!

Stuck at 199 for a week even though I've been keeping my calories and carbs very low....but I think I'll be dropping soon!

I decided last week to give me a scale break as I was tired of weighing every day. Well it did not last a week but I diid not go on every day. I weighed in this morning at 194.8...Which means I am on the flip side of the 190s. I am super excited to be less then 195 even if it is only .2 lbs.

I am still 199. Which is ok... because for a day or two there the scale bounced back UP to 200-201 and I was mortified. I was scared I wouldn't be able to get back to 199 and stay there. Man, the numbers play a game in my head. But I worked hard and got back to 199 and am GOING TO be moving further down this week! I just know it!

Guess what chickies.. 193.6 today.

My scale and I have a love\hate relationship. I love it when I see it go down and depise it when I see it go up even though I know it is not the scales fault. I can't believe I am almost out of the 190s. I only remember one time being in the 180s and that was my sophmore year in college. (MANY moons ago - 13 to be exact) I am getting more and more excited as I see the scale go down as I am getting into uncharted terriorities!!!!

198! Yeah. I was pretty hungry yesterday which usually means I am losing. I even got up out of bed at 10:30pm and ate a handful of nuts because my stomach was growling. SO happy to see 80 pounds gone :)

I weighed in at 184 today, which would put me at 186 really because my scale weighs me light.

But I just got over a bout of 2 day stomach flu, so who knows how much of that I will gain back.... Hopefully I'm out of the 190's!

I am home from travel and will weigh tomorrow-- but I drove 14 straight hours today, so I'm SURE I'll be full of water weight tomorrow. Last known weight was last Sunday when I was still 199.

Darn! A week of travel and then came home to 201.... retaining water again... the result of a fifteen hour day in the car followed by two really long work days.... sigh... my life...

On the bright side, my Tanita no longer rates me ++ in the body fat %... when I started it was 51% and now, it's about 38% which, while not normal, only rates a single +.

Too much cream in my coffee, trying to pretend a regular burger is "lean meat"... yeah, ok, this week I will tighten up a little and try to get some exercise in. I have had a sick child and been stuck in the house for days.

Hmm.... too much cream in the coffee? I never gave up whole milk in my morning coffee and I usually drink 2-3 cups of coffee. I've given it to myself as a more-or-less freebie, but I may need to revisit.

I've been looser than usual with my eating lately-- not off plan, but just a little loose. I need to really hunker down to get to that 100 lb mark.

Me again. TOM, so that explains the water weight.... 201 this am....

Travelling or working for the past five days straight-- but I've been too loose about my eating-- clocking more like 1400-1500 cals. And skipped workouts four days in a row.

Back on track today. Am looking forward to a really good month as I have lots of time to workout and carefully plan my food and I'm going to bust that 100 pound mark by the end of July or bust.

Thanks luciddepths, I have learned patience on this journey but am excited to be so close to the 100 pounds milestone. Won't be in the next couple of days thought, bounced back up to 193 this morning. That is the way it goes when you weigh daily! :)

Cheryl, I'm trying to take a lesson in patience.... I'm away from my scale again for a couple of days, and still hovering right around the 200 mark. May and June have been glacial.

Uber, I feel your pain! I weigh almost everyday but if I can feel water weight, I may skip a day or two. How do you define "glacial"? The first 3 month of the year I just lost 7 pounds total. So I dropped my calorie level. In April I lost 4 pounds, May just 1 pound, and in June another 4 pounds. At this point, a pound a week gets a big WHOO WHO!

Today I am back down to 192 - I hope to get to the 100 pound mark within a week but will spend some major time in the car this weekend. That always results in water weight gain so I may have to exercise that patience muscle.

I am hovering there too, uber. Time for us to move on, perhaps. :)

I really, really want to blast some pounds off in July. I am planning more exercise and no more "extras" in my eating. We'll see where it gets me.

Just got home after a four hour drive, and had to skip my workout again. My schedule has been so topsy-turvy lately.... I HOPE I'm NOT retaining water because I am so due for a drop-- I've been keeping my cals at exactly 1200 and I'm post TOM, so if I don't see a bounce down soon I may SCREAM.

Thank you Scale God!!! Migraine yesterday-- took my migraine med and then woke up FOUR TIMES in the night to go pee. This morning: 196. A THREE POUND WHOOSH!!!

I knew I had to be due for a drop, but man, I'm getting sick of this pattern. I know I'm perimenopausal at 49, but these days, I seem to retain water for two whole weeks of my cycle, then, I get rid of all the water, drop three or four pounds quick, keep it off for two weeks, bounce for the next two weeks while I retain water... At least, with daily weighing, I know what to expect.

Anyway, I'll take it!! For the first time ever, my Tanita scale only gave me + for body fat and + for weight. Bye bye ++'s!!!!

I don't know when I started retaining H20 all the time-- I didn't when I was younger, I didn't even get swollen ankles with my pregnancies until the last one... but now, YIKES! At least I can see it on the Tanita so it freaks me out less-- but still.

I am close! I am shorter than you (5'6) so my BMI is 31.6. I will be overweight at 185 pounds. Those two inches make a big difference! I can't wait to get there. Thanks for inspiring us with your determination :)

Well 2 days in a row now I'm in the 180's so I think it's time to move on to a new thread . . . . I hate to admit that I think the reason why is stress related. I have not eaten well at all the last 4 or 5 days. Not junk, just not nearly enough

I am going the wrong direction. :( I weighed 196 this morning. Part of that is water weight after traveling and, well, shall I just say solid matter. However, I gave into sugar and ate 2 pieces of chocolate cake and 3 servings of blueberry cobbler. That may very well be a pound of real weight. I am back on track now and will just keep on keeping on.

Me, I'm having the best week EVER. I've dropped SIX pounds in the last FOUR days!!!!!!?????!!!!???? I knew I was holding onto water weight but this is unreal.... yesterday I was in the stores and I held up a pair of shorts to see if they would fit-- and I thought they looked about my size. They were EIGHTS.
I don't think they would have fit, but the idea that I got confused is UNREAL.

Hi, Lyn & Uber! Felt like way long time since I was able to hang with you exalted Onederland types.

Scale at 198.2 - down another pound yesterday. Today I have some household chores and a good workout planned. Loving seeing that scale move, so I'll see if I can get it to keep budging during this coming week!

TOM is coming due next week - we'll see if there is a whoosh in store, as usually happens when it arrives. In one of those perverse moves of the universe, the usual whoosh causes me to look forward to that time!

Hey ladies...and gents?...I can't believe I'm here but the scales aren't lying. I've reached a new all time high and finally kicked myself into gear. It's frustrating since this isn't my first time jumping onto this wagon, but it will be my last. Last year I got stuck just above 150 all summer and then started school again and completely lost control.

Hopefully some of you know how that feels...like watching a heavy boulder you've just rolled up a mountain roll down the other side, faster than you could ever catch up to it! This time my sister is on board too though, and I'm hoping we can all help each other too :)

That's AWESOME! That's when I normally GAIN!!!

Me, I'm away from my scale. Yesterday was frustrating as I missed lunch and ended up going unprepared to a party-- was starving when I got there, because I'd only had about 300 calories so far and it was 2 in the afternoon. It was an all snack party-- chips, dip, bread, cheese, sweetened beverages, alcohol... I had no idea WHAT to eat-- so I finally ate some cheese and some bread, but I was still hungry and had to sit there facing down the snacks all afternoon. It was frustrating because I didn't want to eat too much because cheese and bread adds up fast but I was so hungry that it didn't satisfy me-- and I've grown to HATE that feeling of being hungry and wanting to eat and starting at food and not eating. I try to never put myself in that position.

Anyway, I survived and am hoping for a loss tomorrow.

Well... I guess I was due for a bounce. I was dumb enough to eat pumpkin seeds yesterday-- that's like opening a salt shaker and pouring it into your mouth. Instead of eating normally, I had pumpkin seeds and sugar free gum for lunch (driving) and then had the worst stomachache on my run... Ended up under 1000 cals for the day, and what does the scale read this morning?

194.

Sigh. Today I drink lots of water and NO sodium!

I'm hanging on to weigh on Saturday but I could tell my ankles were a bit water-swollen when I got up this morning, compared to yesterday. I can't work out what I ate that might have bloated me. I did have a "rustic bread roll" yesterday but it was wheat free, gluten free, egg free, lactose free, dmn near taste free, so it shouldn't have made a difference!

Lyn and uber, you will be sliding out of the 190s soon! I am stuck again. It seems that this happens at the bottom of every decade. Funny thing is, I am getting more and more patient instead of feeling the impatience that I normally feel. I think it is because I never remember being this weight. I shot through my 190s on the way up. One time I weighed 170 something and did not weigh again until I hit the 220s. ZOOOOOOOOOM I have no idea exactly when it happened, but it was more than 30 years ago.

I am enjoying the 190s and they don't seem such a bad place to be. Don't take me wrong, I am looking forward to the 180s. ......................... Me, weighing less than 190. Imagine that! I will get there but I think that I will enjoy the trip. :D

You guys are so close to being out of the 190s!!! It'll be here before you know it. :) I'm down another pound today even though my huge meal at a Japanese restaurant last night. I had budgeted 1000 calories for the meal [lol, I know but it included alcohol] and just basically ate what I wanted. I had a sashimi/chicken teriyaki combo. I didn't eat my miso soup and I asked them for no rice, but they brought me rice anyway and I pretty much finished it. I knew I didn't have to, but I was still hungry so I didn't really seem the harm.

I can't wait to be down for as low as you guys are, it's coming though! I weighed in at 199 yesterday and 198 today. No more weighing until next Tuesday though, so we'll see.

196.4 today - very happy indeed to be almost halfway through the 190s.

I had a great experience yesterday - went dipnetting (this is fishing with a 10' pole and 4' wide net for red salmon) with some friends. We had a great haul - enough to feed my family red salmon for the next year.

It's very hard, dirty, cold work even on a beautiful day like yesterday was - and I was fit! Strongest, fittest person on the boat.

Today we get to clean all those fish! Going to be a long, dirty saturday... :)

Yesterday when I got on the scale it first read 190 and then flickered over to 191. I just gave an "oh well" and recorded 191. Well, today 190 came up and I waited for it to flicker to 191. And waited. And waited. I got off, tapped the reset button and got back on.... 190. So I repeated the process........190. I still think that 190 is premature but I hope to see it again a couple of times this week. Then I will claim it.

If I stay on the 190 the rest of this week, I will have lost 2 pounds in July. I lost 2 weeks because I ate too much on July 4th weekend. I have decided to be content with 2 pounds for the month but I really want 4 pounds in August. I am ready to be in the 180s!

Lucid-- it's the JOB! I work twelve hour shifts on weekends with a one hour commute each way. Too much driving and standing, and I NEVER drink enough water-- too busy. For the last year I have RELIABLY GAINED 2-4 lbs every single weekend and it takes me one to two days to lose it... it's water weight.... I have not yet found a good way to combat it. It's definitely not what I eat as I bring my food and stay on plan.... I find it does help a lot if I manage to drink a lot of water, and if I try to sit with my feet up if I take a break... don't let it discourage you.

I had a kind of off weekend. Had a couple nights eating out, enjoyed a red velvet cupcake and didn't really do any additional exercise. I'm trying to not get on the scale until the end of the week so I can see at least a half pound difference, but I doubt I'll make it. Going to stay with exercising all week, not going to miss a single day of boot camp, and stay on my eating. I never want to see a 2 in front of my weight again so I've gotta keep moving down and watch the weight melt away.

But the one thing I can control is what I put in my mouth. So I will hang onto that and honestly with so much junk going on I don't even care if the scale moves or not this week... I just need to stay on plan to give myself some sense of stability and control.

Good for you Lyn, that's a big hurdle to get over. But once you realize that how you eat is something you can control that affects how you will feel, rather than just eating to feel better about whatever is going wrong in your life, you're definitely on the right track.

The scale read 190.4 for me this morning and I almost fell off it. Last time I weighed in I was at 193, so that was a pretty big jump. And I haven't been on plan. But I did just end my TOM so I'm hoping it's for real and not a one day scale fluke. We'll see tomorrow!

192.4... and I woke up with a huge migraine so my breakfast consisted of 4 Advil and a migraine pill. Almost never take Advil as it makes me retain water big time, but at least the headache is gone now.... guess I'm going to plateau for a while again-- it was fun losing a pound a day last week-- just like the old days.

I'm stuck between 198 and 199. I am trying hard to not weigh myself but it doesn't usually work out that way. I'm staying on point with my calories and drinking a bit more water than usual.

I've had some weird TOM issues, it started last week but very lightly even though it wasn't the right, well TOM lol because I'm on birth control. I SHOULD be starting my actual TOM now as I am starting the placebo pills but I'm not sure what's going to happen.

Either way I am AGAIN attempting to not weigh myself until the end of the week. I just want to see the weight disappear instead of being stuck, it's so frustrating to be stuck so close to 200lbs when I just broke that barrier - I never want to have to break it again.

Thank you! I'm going to try my hardest. I keep surprising everyone in my family by saying no to certain foods and exercising all the time. I just tell them I'm on a mission and I'm not stopping until I get to 135 lbs. So watch me go.

I need help to get out of the 190's.. I am stuck at 193 to 194 for almost 2 weeks...come on 189

what are you doing that is not working? I am not skinny but,I was in the 200 and down and got into eating healthy and limit cheese and junk crap and eating out basically and working out on weekends or 3 times a week with stepper and wii games.

I think you should get a thorid test and go to a dietian and see what your doing that makes you eat wrong and replace the bad with some good food.
for ex instead of chips you can eat popcorn or toast some tortillas into the oven etc..or instead of yogurt eat the greek kind of yogurt it has less suger and TONS OF VEGGIES AND SALADS even if is frozen and try to avoid the can stuff bc of salt..i was like you also,I noticed those changes and with new baby is hard trying to keep up so..you eat when you can and the best you can..DON'T GIVE UP and do cardio with balance diet and drink tons of green tea with honey or natural sweetner.It helps cleansing the bod.

Uber irritated. I bounced back to 192 and have been stuck there....

I was losing so fast for a moment there that it's irritating to be stuck again, but what can you do? I want to get to the 180s before the end of the month.

I'm still where I was - 196 - still on plan and plugging away. Hoping to see a bit go in the next few days.

Had a very good bike ride yesterday! About 12 1/2 miles. I like bike riding quite a lot, as it is a wonderful burner and I don't feel like I'm pounding my joints to get the workout.

This morning I weighed in at 197lbs. Which is good, I'm moving on down the 190s ... but I just don't feel excited about it. I want to be further away from 200lbs so bad, it seems like one or two slip ups and I'll be back to seeing a 2 in front of my weight which I never want to again.

But it's freaking hot here and I'm really staying low on my calories, so you never know-- I FEEL smaller, which is always a good sign.

I am totally stuck at 191. Aaaargh. True confession, I've stayed super low on my calories.... I FEEL smaller, but I'm not retaining water right now, so I guess the old bod just doesn't want to let go.

On the plus side I FINALLY saw some movement on my measurements....

Bust: 41, rib cage 34, waist 33, hips 43.... which oddly enough, makes me a pear, and I've never been a pear!

I had to pull the tape pretty tight to see 33 at my waist, but still and all...

I have less than a 35 inch waist-- meaning I'm out of the High risk category for waist size!!!!!!!!!! My waist would not budge below 36 or even 37 for the LONGEST TIME.

HOORAY!

195.4 this morning - mega hard work yesterday, some sore muscles today and I honestly didn't think I'd see any drop. The body continues to baffle me - I'll just shake my head and take it with gratitude! First ounce I lost for a week, and it was a pound.

Sooooo I did it! I got under 197! That was the last point I got to and gave up. I'm 195.1!! So proud! Now I know I can keep going and can do this. I WILL meet my goal! JOY!

Chickies-- get this.... I weighed in at 190.6 on Friday afternoon-- by Monday morning I was 196!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRR. The usual culprits for me-- a four hour drive on Friday night followed by two long work days.... plus, I'm entering my pre TOM week. Same thing happened to me last month. Have not been able to workout in several days, but spot on with my calories. Six freaking pounds of bloat??? I figure a couple of pounds of bounce goes with the territory, but SIX POUNDS is cruel and unusual punishment....

Ok. I've resigned myself to the fact that this is bounce week-- I had literally the exact same problem last month. Back down to 193 this am.

I KNOW this is not a real gain. I have NOT eaten any extra calories.

I just hope that when it goes away, it takes another five pounds with it like it did last month.

Still 195. I have been on plan and walked a mile last night but the scale is not budging YET. I think my body is saying "well are you going to stay on plan this time? Or not??"

As for me, I don't really know what to do! Yesterday I was 192 or 193. My scale kept going back and forth. My hubby and I bought a new scale last night, as ours was from the 30's... I knew my old scale was about 3 pounds higher than I actually was, so I weighed this morning on my new scale and it said 188.6. So am I officially in the 180's?? Even though the scale I've been using would have said 191 or 192?
