I couldn't think of a creative title!

Have fun, and don't throw your scale out the window!

My modest goal this month is to be at 216 by June 30th. That's only 4.8 lbs, so I should be able to do it. I have to navigate DD's bday, my bday, and father's Day in the space of less than a week - I need to make sure I'm making good choices!

I'll start a post just in case, but I'm not sure if I am doing daily WI this month - I'm toying with the idea of a scale vacation. Right now, I'm feeling pretty good size-wise and all of a sudden fitting into a bunch of clothing in my closet that wasn't fitting. But I know I'm going to have a bad WI tomorrow because I've been dealing with a sick child the past couple of days and I'm going to get very little sleep tonight and I'm also not eating well due to stress and exhaustion.

So I'm thinking that rather than being discouraged by the numbers on the scale, I may be better off just working on staying on plan for the month and feeling encouraged by the way my clothes are fitting. Plus staying in the 2-teens is becoming a barrier thing for me, so I'm thinking that a month's scale break might hopefully get me down low enough into the teens to finally feel confident that I'm staying there!

(but if I decide to take the scale break, I reserve the right to change my mind, of course! lolol!)

Officially my starting weight for the month is 196. I only lost a pound in May. :( However, my weight is up today but I know if is because I was traveling this weekend. It should level out in a day or two.

I am up .5 to 168 today. I am hoping it is just from not enough sleep last night since we didn't get to bed until after midnight. Hopefully it will go back away tomorrow and take some company with it.

Have a great day everyone!

I'd love to lose another 15 this month (I seem to be on a great weight loss roll right now!) but I'm officially aiming for only 10. I don't want to start making "gotta make goal"" choices instead of "keep eating healthy" ones.

I think this will help me stay on track. My goal for the end of June (set at the beginning of the year, and my first true mini goal) is to be 247.5, which will mean I've lost 40 pounds this year!

1. 252.3 - looks like a goal of 4.8 this month, I think I can do it!
2. 251.6
3. 250.3 - thinking this may be a fluke!
4. 252.5 - dinner out last night, hoping this is a sodium issue :)
5. 250.2 - obviously sodium
6. 251.2 just bouncing all around!
7. 251.5
8. 251.2
9. 250.2
10. 249.8
11. 247.6
12. 248.3 starting a high 240s bounce it seems!
13. 248.6 - would really like to go down again!!
14. 249.2
15. 248.4 Upped weights for strength training today, will see if that is reflected tomorrow with a water weight gain!
16. 249.2 with very sore muscles :)
17. 248.8
18. 247.5
19. 247.5
20. 249.2 - thinking this is sodium :)
21. 246.8 - don't believe this either. Sick and feeling kind of dehydrated!
22. 246.4 - still sick and throwing up yesterday, so expecting a gain tomorrow after actually eating today. Was nice to see, though!
23. 246.3
24. 247.0
25. 246.8
26. 245.6
27. 246.3
28. 246.9 after breakfast (out of town)
29. 247.6 - I am seriously hoping this is water weight in my sore muscles after strength training yesterday :(

Shylah - TOM weight is definitely a false read I think, because that'll all whoosh away in no time!

FitGirly - lack of sleep will do funny things to the body, I know mine retains water if I don't get a good nights sleep. Get a good nights sleep tonight and it'll be gone :)

penguin - it's nice to see that you are still firmly in those teen's, I don't think you'll see the 220's again!

eclipse - down is good!

As for me - down 2.4 this morning. I am enjoying this whoosh, hope it continues, and takes me into the 250's! :D

SwimGirl- Wooooooooooosh! Awesome! Send that woosh fairy over here! ;)

I'm stuck. I remember doing this at 263.x, too. Seemed like I'd never get past it, and then just sped through the next few lbs to 256.x- and here I am again. Last time I dropped my cals to 1300, this time... idk what to do? Bump back up? I'm so confused by my body right now. So- I'm just sitting here, in 256.4 land. Again.

I managed almost four pounds in May, which isn't bad when you break it down to basically 1 pound per week. That's considered a good weight loss, right? LOL! But four just sounds so pathetic.

BUT, my weight has been high this past week with no good reason, and I think a whoosh is coming. I dropped a pound over night into this morning. Then I went to the gym, worked out for three hours, went to the bathroom (LOL!) and dropped another two pounds after coming home from the gym! :carrot: Now, I'm not saying I count that...but considering I drank 66 ounces of water at the gym, I'm fairly confident I replaced at least most of the water I lost.

Ahh! Hey chickies! I actually looked for the old thread then I realized it's June 1st!!!

I was actually quite busy this weekend... Went back up into the 228s, got mad at my scale, but this morning I was down to 227.8 so only .2 above ticker. I better stay down. Even though I was stuck in 228s for what seemed like forever, I did lose about 7lbs. What a relief.

I don't usually post my daily weigh-ins...it's an interesting phenomenon. Also, I won't be able to post for a week or so while I'm on travel. It'll be the longest I've gone without weighing in 6 months. Goal for this month is 194.

My son has croup. I didn't realize kids even got that when they were older (he'll be 6 next month) but I thought that was what it was and they confirmed it today. Last night was tough, he had trouble breathing and didn't sleep much, so of course, neither did I. He got a steroid treatment this morning, and seems to be breathing a lot better and is still sleeping (from pretty much the minute we got home from the doctor!).

Thanks for asking, Diana!!

Not that I would have counted this morning for much so I never bothered to WI at all. Still thinking of just working on the 30 days on plan challenge and ignoring the scale for the month. Well, I will WI on 6/21 to see where I am for the Summer Onederland Challenge and hope that I'm well into the teens at that point. I will probably still check in here too though, to see how you all are doing, and I expect that if I can just get over this hurdle of getting into the teens, I'll be back to daily WIs. At least until I am approaching Onederland - I've been thinking for a long time that I might take a scale break at that point, for similar reasons as this. Getting too focused on a specific number seems to be counterproductive for me. I do ok for just general weight loss, but these milestone numbers are different.

On monday , which is my weight in day, I wa 217. But this morning, the holiday week end came back and bit me in the hind end. Scale jumped to 220. Although I think it may be water weight from the weight lifting I did yesterday. But we shall see how the rest of the week goes :)

I am so glad to hear from the mommies that the youngins are on their way to better.

I'm down .2 today to 167.8. That's a good thing, but it's still up by .3 from my low, grrrr. That's ok, my last day of work for this school year is Friday and I will start putting myself through a bootcamp on Monday. I expect that my weight might take a jump at first due to the serious increase in exercise that I have planned, but after adjusting it should start falling faster :woohoo: I'll be in those size 9s headed for Florida in no time!

Have an awesome day everyone!

Wednesdays are my weigh in days and this morning I weighed in at 241 - down 4 pounds this week!!! Wooot!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

My calories this week were lower on average and I think that combined with the labor of installing my new faux wood flooring this weekend is what did it. I wish it could be like this every week, but I realize that is probably not realistic or healthy to do weekly. I am super excited though! Hopefully next week I will be under 240!!

Congratulations, Mary! If you're eating healthy and not dropping below 1200 calories a day, 4 pound losses are perfectly healthy.

I was down a pound this morning. So far, I'm 100% on-plan with my food. I've stuck with last week's menu and I'm not feeling deprived. I'm not usually hungry, but I was feeling it a bit last evening. This morning, the scales dropped a pound. I'm watching to see if this is a trend. Today, I need to start really focusing on drinking more water and exercising. My goal is to drink 64 oz today and walk for an hour.

Yay! I was hoping there would be a daily thread for June, Thanks eclipse!
I would really like 8lbs. lost for the month. However, it would be more realistic for me to want 5. So I will take anywhere over 5 and be thrilled, since I was only losing a HALF pound per week before adding more protein!

Good Morning, my friends!

More of the same for me today. Dropped .2 to sit at 219.4. That's my first loss in four days, so I think I'll take it. :) I was getting pretty sick of seeing 219.6.

I'm trying something new and hopefully not distructive this week. I'm experimenting with not entering my foods into my tracker. Seems weird, but I've found myself using the tracker as a way to prevent bad choices because I was afraid of entering them, not because they weren't good for me. So this week I'm going to see how I do without that crutch.

Either way, I'll go back to tracking next week. I know I'm not ready to be off of it long-term (since I don't know alot of calorie counts by heart yet).

Welcome to all you new posters :)

rox - I am enjoying the whoosh, we'll see what today brings - will weigh in later. What about bumping up the type of calories, if that makes sense. I bumped my calories on protein and made sure I'm having my full 2-3 cups of veggies with lunch and dinner.. it's working so far! I'm still WAY above you in calories - pretty close to 1800.

Aydenzmom - you might have to adjust your July 4th goal, I think you are going to hit it early! Woohoo :)

Natalie - sometimes you just gotta be firm with your scale, let it know who is in control ;) 7 pounds is great for last month, I agree though, it felt like you were in the 228's forever.. funny how times works.

Peanuts - yikes, my old neighbour's kids had croup quite a few times, it wasn't pleasant. Glad your son is feeling better! Sometimes it's helpful to take a break from the scale, but we are always here if you change your mind :)

Coondocks - We arrives July 3rd last year, but it wasn't really a long summer here. It was hotter, more humid and way more sunny in BC before we left! I am SO glad for AC though, humid doesn't bug me.. unless it's like 10 days worth.. Congrats on your .8!

penguin - sometimes those fluctuations are annoying, eh. With you being careful I'm sure that'll nip that up fluctuation in the bud!

FitGirly - when are you going to Florida? And look at you, almost in single digit sizes! How long has it taken you to lose those 77 pounds - also.. so close to 80 pounds loss! Lots of milestones coming up :)

Rhonda - water is a big issue for me too, I just can't seem to get it all in. Sounds like you are doing good, congrats on the 1 pound!

Shylah - Love it when TOM ends, mine is a full 7 days, ugh. Glad that the gain is mostly gone, and I'm sure by tomorrow even more will go with..

As for me.. I'm up earlier than I want to be, for some reason they are jackhammering the new road they just put in last week, it's SO noisy, and directly in front of my apt. It's better than a couple of weeks ago where they worked from 6am - 11pm, I wanted to go outside and slap them.. I will be back in a bit with my WI!

This is going to be long...

First of all, welcome all new posters!!

PM - Croup at 6 huh? Wow. Those steroid treatments will really help him, but don't be surprised by any facial swelling. I hope he feels better soon. And we'll miss you in this thread!

Penguin - Best of luck staying in the 2teens again. Up the stubborness!

Coondocks - .8, woohoo! That's a good loss!

Tara - At least you can figure out where the jump may have been from. That's better than it coming up and biting you in the butt and you've done nothing different!

Fit - Only up .3 from your low? That's nothing!! You'll get there in no time.

Mary - 4lbs!? Nice job!!!

GirlyGirl - Drinking more water may help curb that random hunger. I've heard a theory that sometimes it's really that you're thirsty. Not sure if I believe it or not but more water is definitely not a bad idea.

Love - Very nice loss!!

Shy -You'll be back there soon, I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow for you! Except I won't know because I won't be around.

Lisa - Boo TOM!! You know it'll go away once the week is over.

Cita - Take the loss and run with it! I hope that you don't you ever have to see 219.6 ever again!! (Except for when I get there! :p)

Aimee - Glad I wasn't the only one to notice! Cute new pic! Sorry that they're doing road construction agaaaiinn.

ETA: I totally forgot to add my weigh in... I'm down .8 to 227.0!! I won't be around for the rest of the week. I'm going 6 hours to northern Wisconsin to relax at my cabin, finallyyyy. I get to wear my new shorts up there :) Yay!! Haha.

Today I'm getting the Zumba DVD from a friend who doesn't use it anymore. I'm excited...I'm starting to get bored with my exercise routine & need to shake it up a bit. I'd like to go to one of the classes.... but since I'm in between clothes right now & having a hard time finding things to fit decent...unable to just yet.

Peanuts: Happy to hear your son feels so much better!

Gourmet Bean: Have a really nice time & enjoy those shorts!

Blairsey: Nice loss!!

Penguin: I hate being in those 9's on that brink...uhg! You can do it!!! Water! Water!

TXMary: Wow! Great week for you! I had a 4.5lb loss the week of May 10th and would certainly welcome another again. They're nice when they pop up from time to time! Makes you feel so good!

FitGirly: You will be in those 9's in no time! It's right around the corner. You've come so far! When you make it down to FL, let me know...maybe we could get together for lunch depending where you're going! It would just be so nice to find other women close to me to keep motivated in this with & exercise. It stinks when I'm the only one out of my friends losing weight.

Cita: Great to see you moved down off that 219, it's so frustrating not seeing it move for days. I was just on day 4 at 255 & was scared & fretting.

Love: Nice job!

Congrats on all losses & all stalls & TOM's will pass!!

Welcome to everyone! I hope everyone has a great day!

I am down .4 from yesterday. From 266.6 to 266.2. My scale originally said 265.6, but I found it odd that I would have lost nearly 3 pounds in 3 days. So I changed the batteries in the scale and came up with a more reasonable number. Although it was wishful thinking;) I did my gym time yesterday including weights. Today I am doing my cardio at home. Mostly due to conserving gas, lol. Hubby doesn't get paid until Thursday and we only have 1/4 tank left. Ahh, the joys of having one car! But I am back into my working out again, which is a good thing. So hopefully I will lose more.

I'll come back for personals soon! There are so many new people this month.

Just wanted to pop in and say that I am thrilled today! Can hardly contain myself! I swear that I can tell differences in my body from just last night. Never again will I doubt a stall! (Remind me of that next time, will you? lol) I feel thinner today. I feel so different, I feel like I look different. The fat bump on my upper arm where my wrist connects to my arm looks... smaller (yes I know- but I swear it!). Good day. I'm happy. :)

I need to start chugging more today....I did the basics on Zumba (oh my gosh my lack of coodination was too whacked out funny...should've Youtube'd it for snits n giggles for you all ) I did my first day of Jillian's level 1 of the shred...wow that is so much harder than it looks but I like it. Was so hard to not quit...but my out of shape butt had to take a 1 minute break in the middle of the shred. Have you tried those?

Roxmysox....great job! I just love days where you can feel it!! I actually noticed last night in the mirror before my shower that my stomach is finally thinning down a bit more....wish my boobs would shrink a bit faster........we're going to get all the way down together...we're almost at the same starting...current... and ending point!! Keep at it!!! :)

SwimGirl - We leave on April 13. My plan is calorie counting with the aid of a bodybugg. I’m also on SlimQuick. I started Feb. 17, 2009 and had lost about 25 by April 8 when I gave up. I restarted (with about 5 gained back) on July 3, 2009. The size 9 thing will be awesome, but I’m already smaller than before I started highschool, which has me totally excited and is helping me stick to it now….Crazy construction people!

GB - Yay, I hope you have fun.

MissKelly - Zumba is sooo fun. That’s one of the many things that has me excited about summer being here, being out of work means I can go to zumba class again. It’s also a great calorie burn, I can get about 600 in an hour. Unfortunately the Florida thing is only for a week, hubby is stationed in Arkansas, so we are stuck here for now. Florida’s home for me, so I’m going to visit my family, I’m from Panama City and my dad and most of my brothers live in that area. What part of Florida are you in? - Good loss!

Rox - congrats on the loss of wrist fat :)

In my world: one of the kids told me I was smaller. She then checked with me to make sure I meant to be getting smaller, which I thought was cute. When children notice enough to say something you really know it means something since they don’t generally say such things just to be nice. Also, today I have not worked out yet, but I am still ahead on my calorie burn. The only thing I can figure is that I was really angry for a good part of the day. Being really angry burns calories? LOL, I doubt it and it’s not an experiment I am interested in working on, but who knows…

MissKelly - I tried to open it, but my computer is being weird, but I'm going to go try on the bf's computer! Looks like it would be fun, from what I've read about it! I got the Turbo Jam DVD's a few years ago, they were really fun.. I should get them out!

FitGirly - like in a year April? I've heard of SlimQuick, just the commercial's. Do you find that it helps you? Kids are so cute sometimes, they say what they want, so you must be looking a lot smaller lately! I've heard once you get below 200 that every 10 pounds lost is pretty much down a size, sounds wonderful!

I still can't shake my headache, but I stayed PERFECTLY on plan :) And peeing like nothing else.. I'm predicting a loss in the AM! :D

Think I'm going to join in here. I don't usually like to weigh daily but I need to get in the habit since I keep forgetting my weekly weigh in and it keeps happening late.

Maybe seeing the weight everyday will help me keep it in mind. I would like to see 275 by the end of June. I am getting back on track with my raw food during the days and healthy cooked vegetarian meal in the evenings and I know I can expect a little more with the changes. I'm going to add daily exercise even if its only a walk at the zoo(annual membership) or swimming. But I will plan for dvd workouts as well.

Good morning, Friends! :coffee:

Scales stayed the same for me today. I'm still 100% on track with food, but I didn't drink my water yesterday or exercise yesterday. I know that my weight loss will stall if I don't do these things, so I must make them a priority today.

Aimee - I have a copy of the Shred on my bookshelf that I got for Christmas. It's still in the cellophane! Maybe I'll pop it out and give it a go today.
FitGirlyGirl - Kids are the most honest people on the earth. If one says something, well....it's true! :D Congratulations.
Aydenzmoma - I think I need a new scale, too. I have to weigh 3-4 times before I find the weight that comes up most often. That's the one I claim for the day. LOL
Roxmysox - Congratulations on losing your wrist bump! Hey, I have all kinds of strange bumps that I wouldn't mind losing. What's strange is that some of these bumps are wads of fat that are on only one side of my body!

Have a great on-plan day everyone!

I am up 2 pounds today to 169.8. We went out for dinner last night, so I know it is a sodium thing. I didn’t have time before bed to get in my cranberry juice. I will be hitting it hard this afternoon when I get home. Even if I know it is sodium, that was a little too close to 170.

I don't remember too much of last summer ( I was mostly indoors with a new born) but from what I do it was pretty mild . . and WAY too short.

Wow, we have alot of new people this month. Welcome to all of you, we're so glad you're joining us!!! :)

I'm at 218.6 today, down .8 from yesterday. I love new numbers, there is such hopefulness in them.

One thing I noticed yesterday is that my nighttime weight (which is heavier than my morning WI) is now what used to be a "can't-wait-to-see-it" weight of 220. Strange how much I wanted to see that number when my weight was higher...and yet soon it won't be within my range at all!

Hope that made sense...it did in my head.

Also, I broke down and entered my food into the tracker last night. What can I say, I'm weak!

I didn't do such a good job yesterday, though. I estimated foods too high and then only ended up with around 950 for the day. Ouch. Experiment, Day 2 is on the way! Hopefully I can get into the 1200-1500 range I'm shooting for, without going over.

Down 1.2 today to. . .219.6! First time out of the 220's! I'm expecting a bounce up tomorrow, since 1.2 lbs is a lot to lose in a day, but it's nice to see the teens!

FitGirly - I think you were just trying to confuse me! Darn sodium, hope you've got the water handy today too!

Diana - I haven't heard of Turbo Kick OR Turbo Fire! I really enjoyed Turbo Jam when I first got it. I actually love exercise videos that are HARD, and then I get tired of them after 6 months. I might break out the TJ, it's been a while! Congrats on the loss :)

Rhonda - The reason I like the 30DS is because it's a short workout, but packs a LOT of punch, the first time I did it I barely made it through, but I just kept plugging away and now I have no issues. Drink your water today :) I am terrible with drinking enough water - never know HOW much to actually drink. So I aim for 3-4L's a day.

Coondocks - Congrats on hitting PAST your halfway point! :carrot: When we got here in July it was just okay, nothing really THAT warm. I think I went to the beach 2 times, and I looooveeeeeeee the beach. Might drag the bf out to Grand Beach for a walk and picnic today :)

penguin - Yay!! :D

Cita - totally makes sense in my mind.. but that isn't saying much

eclipse - congrats, that is a VERY nice drop! There is a lot of you ladies in those 2-teen's - can't wait to catch up!

I went to see Sex and the City 2 last night, the clothes weren't that great, they didn't really drink enough cosmo's, and it wasn't really that great. I was a little disappointed, luckily it was FREE (got a gift card from someone at christmas). I will bbl with my weigh in!

Hello every one!!

1:266.6 (-0.8)
2:266.2 (-0.4)
3:266.0 (-0.2)

I am down .02 from yesterday. About 2-3lbs from last week. :carrot:

Fitgirly: Does cranberry juice really work better the water for sodium??
Girlygirl: I don't need a new one, a battery change was all I needed. Mine is very accurate and consistent. I get the same weight every time. I got it off of Amazon.com. If you want to know what kind, let me know.
Rox and FitGirly: Congrats on the shrinkage!! I was wondering when I was going to see a difference, but I guess I have a bit to go. I just even want to see a difference in my face. LOL.
MissKelly: I can't see me keeping up with zumba. They have a class at the ymca I go to. I am intrigued, but I am totally out of sync when I do an aerobics video, lol. I used to have rhythm. I was a cheerleader in high school, before I put on 100lbs. Now I am off balance and no rhythm, lol.

Aimee Turbo Kick is Chalene's own product. It started out as her teaching other instructors for Turbo Kick in the gyms. Turbo Fire is a BeachBody product like Turbo Jam. Turbo Jam is the easiest, then Turbo Kick, and supposingly Turbo Fire is going to be the hardest. Here are some clips of Turbo Kick, there are 2 workouts on each DVD:
I have this one Vol 3 http://www.turbokick.com/store/product.php?productid=543&cat=72&page=3

Diana - those are impressive! Lots of bouncing, looks hard! I'd likely enjoy it!

Alright, I'm disturbed this morning. I have a little routine I've had for a LONG time, I wake up, sit on the couch with my computer, read FB, check out 3FC's and then bathroom for my morning.. bowel movement (tmi!). Nothing this morning. Anyways, predictably the scale barely moved.. down .4 to 263.9.

Holy cow good losses today ladies! my body wasn't with you, it went from 255.5 to 258!! i drank 3 liters of water, 35 minutes on the treadmill jogging / walking alternating and my 30DS lvl 1. Ate on plan, nothing with salt in it as it was all home made. I got to bed early, got lots of sleep and feel great today. I guess we'll just see what the month brings. I vowed to keep on trucking no matter what until July to give myself enough time to see some changes.

Cita - ouch on the first day, i'd be dying with under 1k cals! but at least you didn't over do it either. hope the tweaking goes well today :)

Swim - That stinks that SATC2 wasn't great. I just read an article on it and got semi excited. I have been hearing to wait from a lot of people though. Oh well, I'll netflix it.

roxmysox

Swim- I want to see SATC2 so bad. I guess now I'll wait until it comes on pay-per-view or hits the red box. Not that I had too many options there... haha Something tells me my 3 year old wouldn't appreciate it as much as I would.

Congrats on all the losses, ladies! You guys are rockin' it!

I stayed the same. 255.4. Not complaining :) I'm a little sore from two long walks yesterday, and I didn't get in near enough water. I'll have to try harder today to make sure I drink it all.

Congrats on all losses!! Wow, awesome!!

Seems my woosh is coming finally from my TOM last week. No clue. Been starting to bust myself with a minimum of 1 hr of cardio a day since Monday instead of 30 min. Whoooo knows.... I don't.

June 2: 253.6
June 3: 252.4

Roxmysox: I had a grrr of a time breaking 255. I was on it for 4 days. You'll be off it soon! What I did to break it was weird that worked when I was on 267 and 266.5 for 8 days around Mothers Day, I decided to try again, I added more high cal, carb rich food in my day on the 1st ...something my body isn't used to at all. Somehow thats working for my body so far (twice). It's almost like my body starts to get used to the routine of what I'm eating & I have to throw it something its not expecting. :chin:

Penguin & Eclipse: Yay you both!! In the teens!! I'm so jealous! :flow1:

SwimGirl: In Tampa. I thought I had some rhythm until I tried & Im going to keep challenging myself to prove I do...lol!!

Congrats to all....hope everyone is having a happy day! :carrot:

MissKelly- I was at 256.x for 7 days straight (with a one day jump back up the 257?!) and I kept telling myself to try something different, up my cals for a few days- just shake things up a bit, but everytime I tried, I managed to talk myself out of it half-way in and kept everything the same. I don't know what's going on- it's really frustrating. I want to break my stalls, but my brain just won't let me right now. Maybe it's because I know if I tell myself "ok, I'll eat a few more cals today" I may go a little (or a lot?) overboard and then I will have a gain and it will take longer. I'm rambling, but I think I have some mental weight loss issues going on right now!

Aydenzmoma - I realized I didn't finish answering you. I was really tired. Cranberry juice is good for helping your kidneys to pull toxins and toxin-like substances (such as an over abundance of sodium) from your body. It is really awesome stuff, but not as a water replacement, just as a bonus.

Diana - that Lakewood stuff is awesome if you put about an ounce in a glass of Sprite Zero. I had to limit myself to one glass last night since potty trips all night would not be a good idea when I have to work today.

I am back down .8 to 169 today. I guess I still have too much sodium in me. The stress of the last week of school is probably also messing with my scale - grrr. Today is my last day and then I get to focus on my weight loss for a little while. Yay!!

I really like the Lakewood brand in general. I have tried quite a few of their juices. I have been adding 1 ounce of the cranberry to my regular juice and then a splash to my water at night.

These have alot of fruits and veggies in them. Check out the ingredients. I have tried them all. A couple of them have green peppers and I'm not a fan of the flavor of green peppers. I will alternate all the ones that do no contain green peppers.

Okay....really disgusting question for everyone. Feel free to ignore. :) Does anyone else see a correlation in weight and length of time spent peeing in the morning? Yup, I went there. I've definitely noticed a difference. If the quantity seems high, I'm almost guaranteed my number will be down.

Cita You know, I was kinda thinking this the other day, too. I have always had issues with retaining fluid, depending on how I eat. If I ate how I wanted to eat every day, I would be fine. But, DH likes to eat different than I do. Yesterday I had a piece of pizza and some oriental food. All high sodium foods. The first thing I do in the AM is go to the bathroom. This morning I didn't pee as much as I normally do. I was a full pound heavier this morning. I ate over my normal calorie range by about 500 calories. It's all fluid and it's in my belly area. I am going to make an effort to pay attention to this. One day last week when I weighed heavier, I noticed that I didn't pee much that morning. Maybe there is a correlation.

Diana: So glad I'm not crazy! I chug a glass of water every night right before bed hoping to wash out any extra sodium from my body overnight. Normally this results in a "flood" in the morning. This morning? Hardly pee at all and up 1.4 pounds. I think we're on to something!

Absolutely. It's really about fluid retention. The days I have really big drops, I've usually actually had to get up once or twice in the night to pee, plus had the big morning pee - that's how I know I was retaining a lot! :lol.

Diana - Oriental food always makes me retain water too. I'm sure with a good pee you'll lose it ;)

Coondocks - a loss is a loss, and those .2's and .4's add up pretty quickly!

FitGirly - I've heard stress can either make the scale move down or up.. I move up, I have a friend who moves down.. I'd like to trade with her! I'd be a size 2 by now! Last year was super stressful for me. Just a little bit more and you can focus on exercise and diet!

Rhonda - what are you going to do for exercise today?

penguin - I always wondered if there was a lag from eating certain things would come later.. let us know!

Cita - great NSV!! I talk about peeing and pooping all the time, My bf finds it gross. I am the queen of TMI!

eclipse - congrats on the whoosh AND hitting the 2 teen's! Been a great couple of days for yah! :D

As for me? I'm mad at the scale. I got up, got on the scale, was UP .2, went to the bathroom and went back to weigh myself "officially" and was UP .4!!! What the heck? I know it's not much, but after how good I've been for the past couple of days - a gain just isn't allowed..

I've just experienced this too. At my last WI, I was 4 lbs higher than I had been but I all of a sudden went down a size in clothing! I think it was probably water weight, so I'm hoping it will all be gone along with a little more when I weigh in on the 21st.

Cita- I've never thought about it, but I for sure will now! As for drinking a whole glass of water before bed, I'd be up at least twice through the night going to the bathroom! I have to stop drinking water at least 1.5 hrs before bed and make two planned trips before I can allow myself to fall asleep. I've been like that since I was pregnant. 4 years ago!

eclipse- 2-teens! That's an amazing place to be!! Congrats!!

Down 1lb to 251.4. I woke up at 2am and ate a cup of Morning Star crumbles with onion & water chestnuts & downed it with a 20oz bottle of water after having a very vivid dream of pigging out on a bunch of Snickers Bars. That was my first pig out dream. Made me real hungry. That stunk.

Penguin: Congrats!!! Rock those teens & in no time you'll be in onederland! Around the corner! :dancer:

Congrats!!! We'll both be in the 40's sooooon!!!!! If I get there first...I will toss you a rope & do my best to pull you down!!! Count on that!!!lolol ;)

I started working out again after taking a week off when family was visiting. Feels great. I weighed myself this morning as soon as I got up and was 249.4. I was sitting on the computer and had to pee at least 2 more times. After the 3rd pee (I drank so much water yesterday because it was hot) I decided to weigh myself again. I was down to 248. I think I am becoming addicted to weighing, but it's been good for me. If not, those pounds sneak up on me. I know its mostly water weight gains and losses (and some fat!) but when I saw the loss today, it made me want to work out more. Walked/ran for 45+ minutes. The Nike+iPod said I burned 600 calories. I feel like going for another shorter walk tonight to get that number up to 1000 burned.

I just figured it out since you made mention....

Pull up the front of ticker #2 to the end of the line on ticker #1. So where ticker 1's [url] ends, put ticker #2's directly next to it & not on the next line down. It lines up. :)

Those crumbles are usually a "life preserver" for me....low in cals & carbs.. & you feel like youre eating so much when youre really not. But the craving for it passed. Thank gosh eating dreams are not like peeing dreams like we had when we were little kids (you know the ones where kids dream of sitting on the toilet & wake up in bed with wet sheets lol)

I think I know why I have had a couple losses in a row. I am getting ready to start TTOM soon. I always lose beforehand and it seems like everyone else loses afterwards. I'm close to the teens, but I am probably going to stall out now. :( But I am going to think positive! I am hoping to get into the teens and maybe have a pound or two cushion for when TTOM starts. ;) How's that for positive thinking? :D

I made something different with my cranberry juice last night. I had made some tea for dinner. I added some cranberry juice to my glass of tea. That makes a Boston Iced Tea. It was really good.

Aimee Here's my understanding. Of course this may not be the reason for your back up. ;) Sometimes you don't have enough fluid in the bowel. You may drink plenty, but it gets excreeted through urine. If you consume fiber to help things along, it just gets more backed up because again, you don't have enough fluid there. You can take a Magnesium supplement. Magnesium will bring fluid to to colon and it will help move things. OD on magnesium can produce a laxative effect. Magnesium citrate is a preferable form of magnesium. I read on ConsumerLab.com that Solgar's Magnesium Citrate passed their heavy metal tests, ect. Here's a link to the Solgar Magnesium Citrate http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=SL-2169

SwimGirl: I don't know....I'm drinking plenty of water too but just exercising (doing weights) too much I think & my muscles are retaining water (or something). I hit my max loss for the week @ 3lbs according to the scale but who knows what is what in that weigh...almost sick of trying to figure it out & placing more value lately in the measuring tape. Next week & the following should be good "losses"...but then the week of the 20th things will get very goofy again with Pre-TOM. So I'm learning to be very stringent & bust my behind in the first 2 weeks of the month. You're doing everything right...bleh what the scale says....have you checked your measurements or feel a difference in inches??

This is the first time I've ever weighed every day and then recorded the amount. It's a little unnerving. I'm up a couple pounds sine the beginning of the month despite eating totally on plan. But I haven't been working out much or getting much sleep and there's been a pile of work related stress this week. Oh, and I've been weighing in late afternoon rather than morning the last few days. So a couple pounds doesn't surprise me.

It might also be TOM but I just can't tell. I've been very irregular for 40 years, I never know when it'll happen. And of course, being in my 50's, menopause could start at any time too. Right now I've got all the standard TOM signals happening but this would be earlier than i'd typically expect. But perhaps that's the reason I'm up a couple pounds.

Anyway, it's interesting watching the daily changes...

eclipse

Diana - I was running late for work so I didn't take anything, except MORE water and MORE coffee. I think from 9am-11am I had 2 cups of coffee, and 1 L of water. So much liquid..

MissKelly - I am going to try on some pants that were too small a month ago, see how they are fitting, maybe even take a picture. I checked my measurements, nothing changed, except since I was so bloated my belly was a bit bigger. The bf and I have given up sugar, wheat, and any processed foods, so he dropped 9.3 pounds in one week, and I ended up with 3.8. Guess I had just hoped for a little more, since I have been eating SO clean, and SO perfectly!

Mellington - I was just thinking about her, one of her songs anyways on my way to work.. funny!

That said, I predict a rough couple of days for me. Hubby is leaving on a business trip this afternoon and will be gone until Thursday. That leaves me with my two under two all on my own. I just got back from the Dr, GP, He knows I'm trying to lose weight, and I'm frusterated because its so slow. One thing he told me was that as I'm losing weight, since I'm exercising so much, my weight won't change much as the fat is changing into muscle, which may explain why my weight hasn't changed in the past year but I'm wearing smaller sizes and feel more firm than flabby. I had this happen once before when I was doing P90x. I did the program lost only a few inches but only lost maybe 8 lbs in the three months. I was much stronger however.

Well I had a whole post, and it all got lost when my laptop decided it didn't want to connect to the internet... grrr laptop! So let's try this again!

Diana - Thats an impressive amount of veggies, I am not surprised that you are still a little full today! I LOVE spaghetti squash, well, to be honest I love any vegetable. Good loss :) Today is my Friday, so I'm very happy! :D

Coondocks - nice loss girl!

Cita - very good whoosh! I am the queen of weird eating.. I work weird shifts, drive the bf to work, and it really messes with my sleeping, and thus eating! The other day I got home from work at 11pm, and had to get up at 4:15 to drive the bf to work, and then worked until 5pm. And then I had to think about eating TOO! So what I've gotten in the habit of doing is steaming some veggies and leaving them in the fridge, add some feta and italian dressing, and voila it's a salad! I put some chicken breasts in the oven, and it's an easy healthy dinner. :)

Alright - me me meeee.. I am down 1.1 to 263.2! Yahoo! Just 4.2 from 250's, can't wait! Going to go for a long walk tomorrow and Wednesday, hoping to convince my body it wants to be in the 250's!

Tara, that is kind of funny! Maybe it's time to see a jeweler? :D

Today, I'm down .4 of a pound. Last evening, I got on the treadmill for the first time in forever. I'm hoping to see the inches start dropping soon.

Have a great on-plan day!

Congratulations Diana! I am sooo glad my scale holds the weight for about 20 seconds after I get off so I can bend over and peer at it for a while, waiting for my eyes to focus. Mornings are never my best time....

My scale said 238.8 again.

Morning everyone. I'm waiting for the bomb to drop!! Got up and was another pound down-147 today. Don't know how I seem to be eating a lot. Going for a long walk--don't want that pound back!!!! Everyone have a good day. Wish some of you were here to walk with me>

Diana - Congrats on the teens! WooHoo!

Mellington - I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well. Make sure to drink extra water and I hope you are better soon.

Terra - You better get one of those little rubber sizer things or something. That’s what I have on my rings - way more comfy than the metal version. I still take them off to sleep though. The jeweler told me I should wait until I’m all done before sizing.

GirlyGirl - Congrats on the treadmill. I have learned to love mine so much. I hope you and it continue to have a wonderful relationship.

Glad to see all the losses, both in weight and inches. Good job everyone!

As for me I had an awesome day yesterday with a 2053 calorie deficit - 1966 in, 4019 burned. I also drank so much I was afraid of sprouting gills. The scale for me today is up 1.2 to 170.6, I hate TOM.

5:266.2 (-1.0)
6:266.0 (-0.2)
7:266.8 (+0.8)
8:266.0 (-0.8)

I am down back to 266.0. So annoying! I drowned myself yesterday! But it seemed like I didn't pee as much as I should have. I drank just about 1 gallon, plus Crystal light iced tea. How much do you gals drink??
Warining...TM...LOL:;)
I have been getting PMS symptoms for the past 3 days. I just spotted for a week about 2 weeks ago, with no pms. But since I went off of the pill in May 2009, I haven't gotten a real TOM. I havenn't gotten pms either so I am hoping this is a good sign.
Maybe this weight fluctuation is a result of said issue??

Diana: Congrats on the teens!!!:D:D
Terra: It's awesome when things get looser! My ring is starting to get looser and I only lost 18lbs sofar.

I am still bouncing around, the 240s are so teasing me! I did flub up this weekend, but am back on track! Something I was eating was also giving me a sick belly, but I think that's taken care of now. I hope!

This is where I been:

1. 252.3
2. 251.6
3. 250.3
4. 252.5
5. 250.2
6. 251.2
7. 251.5
8. 251.2

Katy - I try to drink at least 120 ounces of water a day. The first few weeks I felt like I was swimming and sloshing, but my body adjusted :)

Roxy - where did you get the rubber ring sizer thing? My wedding band is becoming very loose! I need to find some of those :)

ORSewmama - Wal-mart. They come in a big pack with all different shapes of them to fit different types of rings. It was a dollar or two for the whole pack. It takes some getting used to, but I was fine after a couple days.

Mine today: 250.8, down 1.4. (went swimming last night at 1am til 3am...yep 2 hours...pushed myself after feeling guilty for blowing off exercise yesterday...popped 2 caffeine pills for energy, I did exactly 100 laps in those 2 hours! 100!! First time ever for that many! When I came in after, jumped on scale...I had sweated off 1-1/2 lbs. Hard work..but felt so good.)

Diana: Congrats on your teens!

FitGirly: You're going to have a very nice drop when TOM is gone. I look forward to seeing those numbers disappear.

Ayden: Those 60's are annoying to get out of. I feel your pain more than you know. However, it'll break very soon! Your question about water...on a good day I stay close to 1/2 my weight in ounces a day... on an average day, 100oz. I get kind of sick of water on some days, it's all I'll drink since I started in Feb. Aspartame I avoid like the plague... increases my appetite.

Mellington: Sorry to see you aren't feeling well. Feel better soon!

Eclipse: One more pound & you're 1/2 way there! You're doing such an awesome job!!

Congrats on all losses...stalls will pass...& hope everyone has a nice day! :)

Dear TOM . . . . YOU SUCK.

FitGirly - do you ever find that you gain weight from intense exercise? That sounds like an impressive amount of exercise, how much time are you putting in?

AydenzMom - sounds like some weird fluctuations, TOM could be an issue. Have you seen a doctor? 13 months is a long time for no real period, I'd be concerned a little. Hope this gets all sorted out and you get off your fluctuation-train!

MissKelly - omg, you are motivated beyond anything I've seen! Where do you swim? I'm kinda shocked anything is open at that time! Congrats on the loss :D

Coondocks - stupid TOM, it's only temporary though!

I decided to put on some size 16 pants that I have and take a picture of how much further I have to go to do them up... BUT! They zipped up!! Kinda crazy, was NOT expecting that today! They are not ready to be worn out of the house, not muffin top.. more like JUMBO muffin top!

Have to agree MissKelly . . . holy crap! That's fantastic!

My only reason for not swearing up a storm is knowing that by the weekend i should be back to normal . . . . TOM still sucks though :p

And Kudos to you on the pants . . . that's a great feeling to see how much farther till I can zip and go ohh wait a sec . . . . I just did them up. Way to go Aimee!!

The community pool here. It's open til midnight, but it's so isolated & away from residences next to the tennis courts...no one obeys the times...no one can hear a thing over there. My son & I will usually go out for a swim around 11pm for about 90 minutes when we go....but last night...just had to do it. I originally did my 25 laps. Then I saw my son cranking away on his laps...& I was like...HMMMMMMM. I did 60 then. Then, I decided to do laps to 90. At 90...it bugged me I stopped before 100 lolol....when I got out of that pool....I felt drunk. Woke up this morning feeling like I had a hangover minus the headache & woozie stomach. Giving my muscles a day off today....I really worked them...will be back at the pool tomorrow. Surprisingly...I am not really sore like I thought Id be. What did I learn mostly from this though? If ever I am on a boat that capsizes.....I have endurance to swim through shark infested waters to shore if not too far out!!!! lolol

Told a couple of my friends about it & they were like.....what the f......??!?!??!?!?!?!?

Have to agree MissKelly . . . holy crap! That's fantastic!

Coon...I surprised myself!! ADMITTEDLY.....I have friends coming into town at the end of Aug for my birthday....I am really trying to kick it up a few notches. I don't think I have really been pushing myself as much as I am capable of really doing. When I made it into a size 18 pants to match the 16/18 shirts I got into the week before last...it really has inspired me to put some pep in my step. I always say its going to take sweat & tears....well...I have the sweat down pat....its time for some tears for me now. It's been really bugging me about this...that I've been making myself "comfortable" with exercise lately...not testing my limits. As for your TOM...it only means your woosh is around the corner!!! Yayay!!!!

MissKelly- WOW! WTG on swimming 100 laps in 2 hours. That takes take dedication! Is there a high five smiley face?

SwimGirl- Congrats on the size 16! Isn't it nice to enter into a new size? Sometimes I find it can be more motivational than the scale since it's *solid* proof, ya know?

CoonDocks- I feel you on the TOM gain! I usually don't get a TOM, but I am having some issues with my birth control and it SUCKS to see the scale jump up so quickly! It'll come off soon :)

I was 248 yesterday and 246 this morning! I know it's mostly water weight(I gain like crazy during TOM), but it's still nice to see myself get further away from the 250s! It seems like such a scary number to me, 250, a weight "category" that I've never been in before and I'm glad to be getting away from that. I want to break weight categories in the other direction!

Shylah - Thanks! I can't wear them in public.. but zipping them feels good! I can't wait until I'm in a NORMAL size 16's, get away from plus sizes :D You will get there, you are doing really good!

MissKelly - Workout machine! I had planned to go for a nice long walk today but thunderstorms and HARD rain derailed me. Walking in lightening scares me! You've got some time, August is a good 10 weeks away.. not that I count down to August, which is my bday..

Coondocks - I thought we were going to sweat off the pounds with all this humidity??

peachykeen - I am a scale junkie, But fitting into a smaller size is wonderful :) That's a GREAT loss, and continue on with that kind of loss you'll be far far away from those 250's!

MissKelly- you are amazing! Keep up the good work!

I haven't been checking in, but I'm still here. I got bummed because I *thought* I was in my losing phase since I had just broke an 8 day stall, but now that I went down a whole pound, I'm stuck in another one. I've been eating (and strictly counting, might I add!) 1400 or less cals everyday and still doing my low-impact exercising, but it's just not budging. Thinking if it doesn't get moving soon, I may try some calorie cycling. Hubby will be home in 6 weeks, and I'd really like his jaw to drop!

Hi Everyone! Have a great day!

Calories for yesterday: 1555

Weigh In: 220.2

Up: .4 I have been having TTOM symptoms for a few days now, so this was expected. Everyone else loses after TTOM, but I lose before (why am I always different? :D) The only thing I lose after is the water weight that I gained.

Coondocks - I am so with you! TOM is such a schmuck!

SwimGirl - I figured that I might see a jump up on the scale when I started this, but since TOM started the same day - who knows? I figure it’s safe enough to blame TOM. Monday I did 215 minutes and yesterday I did 240. Congrats on the pants zipping. You’ll be struttin all over the place in them in no time!

On a side note, I love seeing you guys talk about how hot Winnipeg is. It reminds me of the relativity of things and also of how I won’t be stuck here in Arkansas forever. I don’t like the hot weather here, we’re planning to eventually settle in Washington state - Vancouver most likely.

Vladadog - Congrats on the new low!

FitGirlyGirl, Being born in the South, when I married Hubby we moved to Whidbey IS, WA, that was a BIG change for me. I was horrified to find that our apartment didn't even have A/C, but then found we didn't need it. That first year they were having a 'heat wave' but it only got up to 85* which down here is a nice spring day. Winters were a tad different, it snowed 15"+ which was the most snow I'd ever seen!
