Everyone is welcome to join in! Here is the place to put all your fitness/exercise related goals for June! Any goal no matter how big or small is welcome anything that getís you moving and closer to your weight loss goals! Be it just waking up a little early and doing just a little something for your body, to running around the block or taking a walk 3x a week, to x many minutes, to weight lifting. Heck even if you just want to make a habit of parking your car farther out in the parking lot, post it here! Everybody has to start somewhere, start here with us!

Exercise goals will be listed here, while weight loss goals, etc. will be listed in our sister thread, "June Weight Loss Challenge". (Stole that from Tummy Girl :))

My fitness goals for June are going to be workout 4 days a week, elliptical and yoga all 4 and the 30 day shred on 2 of those days. Minute goal of 1300. I also want to try and get the family out for a walk or something active on one of our days off if possible!

I've been saying I'm going to start jogging for months now, I went for my first jog earlier in the week and shocked myself by how little I could run without being out of breath. By the end of the month I want to be able to jog the whole 2 mile track without having to stop.

I'm going to join the gym sometime this week- I want to go at least 5 times a week, doing strength training on 3 of those days.

Lots of walking! There's no excuse not to when the weather is as gorgeous as it has been round here.

My exercise goals are:

1. Continue doing P90X (I am currently on a four day hiatus. I am going to have to force myself to do it tomorrow).
2. I am doing a walk/run program, so I would like to be able to run for 5 continuous minutes. (Right now, I'm lucky if I last for 30 seconds).
3. I have a tendancy to leave exercise down to the last minute, literally timing it so it ends a few minutes before midnight. I would like exercise in the morning for at least 20 days out of the month.

My goal is to finish the Wii Active 30 day challenge on schedule. So, that's 5 wii Active workouts a week. I'm already about a week in, so I'll finish before the end of June. I'll set more goals then.

Hello everyone Im new to this thread. Id like to join in and for this month my goals are to get cardio on four times per week for an hour each. Also strenght training and Id like to at least take one cycling class at my gym. Good luck everyone

I'd like to jump in on this thread since I'm part of the other one. :)

I'd like to complete at least 1000 minutes of exercise this month. Simple tasks such as walking don't count unless it's at a brisk pace and for the purpose of exercise.

I want to get back to exercising three times a week. May was a rough month for me and life just kicked my butt. So I want to get back into the habit of doing three exercises a month, regardless of what they may be.

6/1 - Mostly a day off from excercise, as I was feeling a twinge of back pain and reinjury is not in my plans. I did take a leisurely walk with my kids to the graocery store and bakery rather than driving, so I'm counting that!

Thanks Meow Mix for posting and tracking for us. I did great on May's exercise challenge, only missing two days of working out for the whole month, but the weight loss didn't reflect it, unfortunately. I'm going to up my challenge from last month's stated exercise challenge and say no more than one day off per week.

Hello all you exercising Chick-a-dees!!! For me exercise is key, and always has been how I lose weight, and feel better. So This thread is so important to me. THankyou for keeping it alive and well!
For my June goal, I will try tracking in minutes, because I will be doing a lot of gardening, and Jet skiing and can't track in miles easily. Soooooo
JUNE GOAL;
720 minutes of intentional exercise

That works out to 45 minutes 4 times a week to get me back on a serious track!

It's my triathlon weekend, so I'll get a nice "workout" Sunday during the event. Today and tomorrow are rest days before the race. It'll be nice to have real rest away from home, not doing housework and errands and running kids to stuff, etc....although we are tent camping and the weather looks questionable!

I've pulled or strained some muscle and am therefore avoiding the Circuit Training for a few days. I am so behind in preparing for this camping trip that I'm certain exercising in the morning is out of the question. I'm doing a zip line tour in the afternoon, and hopefully will get some walking or frisbee or other such activity in. Sunday canoe trip--that and swimming will give me a little exercise.

MsP: Good luck Sunday! And I'm praying for good camping weather too.

My goal is to exercise every day except Sunday on my cross trainer doing at least 1.5 miles, two times a day (so 3 miles a day)...

I've been doing quite well so far this month! I've only just joined this site today so will start logging from today!

June 5th - AM 1.5m / PM 2m (Bonus walked .5m)
June 6th - Rest Day but walked 2 miles anyway
June 7th - AM 1.5m walk / PM 2m on cross trainer
June 8th - AM 1m / PM 2m on cross trainer

My exercise goal: 45 minute workouts at least 5x/week

June 1: 1 mile walk, 20 min ellipticle, 10 min upper body free weights

June 2: 45 Body by Jake workout

June 3: 45 minute walking/sculpting video

June 4: 45 minute ellipticle

June 5: Rest Day

June 6: 1 hour Walk Away the Pounds video

June 7: 50 minute ellipticle

Well, one week down. I've managed to do the loads of walking bit which I think has helped with the jogging. I was meant to be going to the gym yesterday to join up but the person I was meant to be joining with has decided she's not interested anymore and due to some anxiety issues I have I'm not sure I'll be able to convince myself to go by myself. I have some weights at home though so I can do some strength training.

Sorry, I hope you don't mind me having a bit of a ramble when you're all doing such nice, organised exercise logs! Right, here's my attempt at an exercise log:
01.06: 4 mile walk (plus going to see and band and jumping up and down for 2 hours! Can't remember the last time I sweated that much!)
02.06: 3 mile walk.
03.06: Only did 1 mile but was carrying a 25 lb bag.
04.06: 6 mile walk.
05.06: 5 mile walk.
06.06: Nothing- lazy day!
07.06: 3 mile walk.

End of week one: I did an average of just over 3 miles a day which is pretty good, I'd like to make it 4 by next week. I need to really step things up in week 2; if I'm not going to join the gym I at least need to do some weights at home and do some cardio.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I've just kinda been doing my thing and it's amazing to me that I could be an inspiration to anyone!! That post really made my day, thank you!

I've been thinking about a goal story but I think the best goal story's are the one with pictures and I'm still working on the courage to post those :^:

You're doing great btw, we all have weeks where we just don't get it all in but as long as you just keep at it, it's no biggy! Before you know it you'll be posting a goal story, that is if you're braver than me :)

6/1 - Mostly a day off from excercise, as I was feeling a twinge of back pain and reinjury is not in my plans. I did take a leisurely walk with my kids to the grocery store and bakery rather than driving, so I'm counting that!
6/2 - 30 minutes of yard work - really worked up a sweat! 30 minutes on Wii EA Active.
6/3 - 26 minutes EA Active, 45 minutes WATP
6/4- rest day
6/5 - 30 minutes EA Active, 45 min WATP

Holy moly. I took a few days off excercise because I got a bad cold and just didn't feel up to it. I walked around Sea World for a few hours with my kids last night, and today I got back in my regular work out groove. I have to say, taking that many days off in a row sucks! It's amazing how quickly your body says, "Yeah, that? I don't do that anymore!" :lol: I'm exhausted - hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.

eclipse: I hear you on that one. I am always amazed at how quickly my body can adapt (and thrive) on no exercise, and how long it takes to get back into it. Major bummer. Good for you for hopping back in--soon enough your body will stop complaining!

June Exercise Challenge

eryn s - By the end of the month be able to jog the whole 2 mile track without having to stop, go to the gym at least 5 times a week, doing strength training on 3 of those days and Lots of walking!
Ms Perception - 1. Follow my marathon training 2. Swim on cross-training days
jakenamirgirl - 1. Continue doing P90X 2. I am doing a walk/run program, so I would like to be able to run for 5 continuous minutes.3. I would like exercise in the morning for at least 20 days out of the month.

gardenerjoy - My goal for June is 1600 minutes.
Mellabella01 - My goal for June is to work out 5 days a week.

eclipse - I know what you mean! Every time I've taken time off from being sick I had a harder time but before I know it I'm right back on track! You might still be recovering a little also, I found I do better if I take things slow getting back into exercise rather than just jumping back in full force after being sick. Glad to hear you're doing better though!

dangerouscurves, how in the world do you fit three hours of exercise into your day? And more importantly, how in the world do you do it? I just can't make myself keep going! I am impressed.

gardenerjoy: looks like that Wii Fit is getting a good workout! lol. Are you loving it?

MsP: good for you for getting in the swim. I saw that 75 min. run and it made my legs feel wobbly. Wow!

6/1 - Mostly a day off from excercise, as I was feeling a twinge of back pain and reinjury is not in my plans. I did take a leisurely walk with my kids to the grocery store and bakery rather than driving, so I'm counting that!

Hey Everyone, I know its already halfway through June but I figure better late than never I guess. I'm in school and working full time and just finished mid terms last week soooo This week starts the getting more active and working it in somehow.

New Goal is to fit in at least a 30 minute walk 3-4 times per week. I know it isn't much but thats goona be my starting point :)

Best of luck to everyone with their goals! Looks like everyone is doing great so far!

LouisaH: The Wii is fun! I'm astounded by my own consistency with it. In the next month or two, I'm going to need to add something a bit more challenging -- either some other games besides Wii Fit or start doing some of my videos again. But, for now, it's working great!

Hi everyone...I'm new to the forums and could really use a kick in the pants. I started out the year like gang-busters working out 6 days a week (turning 40 will do that to you! LOL) but recently I've been slacking BAD!! My June goal is at least a 55 minute work out for 6 days each week...starting tomorrow!

Ultimate weight loss goal is 30 lbs.

Hopeful8 - 1. 60 minutes of cardio 6x per week 2. Complete at least 1800 minutes of exercise 3. Strength training at least 3x per week.
eryn s - By the end of the month be able to jog the whole 2 mile track without having to stop, go to the gym at least 5 times a week, doing strength training on 3 of those days and Lots of walking!
Ms Perception - 1. Follow my marathon training 2. Swim on cross-training days
jakenamirgirl - 1. Continue doing P90X 2. I am doing a walk/run program, so I would like to be able to run for 5 continuous minutes.3. I would like exercise in the morning for at least 20 days out of the month.

6/1 - Mostly a day off from excercise, as I was feeling a twinge of back pain and reinjury is not in my plans. I did take a leisurely walk with my kids to the grocery store and bakery rather than driving, so I'm counting that!

6/1 - Mostly a day off from excercise, as I was feeling a twinge of back pain and reinjury is not in my plans. I did take a leisurely walk with my kids to the grocery store and bakery rather than driving, so I'm counting that!
