As a few of you know I'm signed up for a half Ironman triathlon in 2 months, and 2 months after that a full one. Been working hard but there aren't a heck of a lot of hills out here in Chicago, and Ironman Wisconsin is known to be hilly.
Well some kind folks encouraged me as a training ride to sign up for something called the "Horribly Hilly Hundreds".
I momentarily lost my marbles and decided to give it a try.
Almost 6,000 feet of cycling on hills in 67 miles. Sometimes this new life really seems a bit nuts.
Anyway I've had a bad month weight-loss wise and I'm up 5-10lbs from my lowest in my ticker. So not only will this be a good training ride... but good motivation to get super-serious about losing that + some...
Point of this post though is... think about getting a little out of your comfort zone this summer. I truly believe we are all capable of much much more then we realize...
I'll let you guys know how it goes. The ride isn't until mid-next-month... and of course I'll update you on the Ironman stuff to no matter the outcome.
