100 lb. Club - not fearing the camera!

I don't know if it is a NSV or not, but man, I love getting my picture taken now. I went back on my old photobucket account and out of the hundreds of pictures up there, only a few are of me and they were taken for a specific purpose (mostly for a joke, etc.). I would avoid the camera like the plague.
It was motivating to see how big I was and the changes I've made.
I think I'll post the few before pictures I have. Without further ado, here is morbidly obese Matt :)
EDIT: Per request, I just uploaded a more recent photo.

Congratulations - I'd say that is a HUGE NSV, it means you've made peace with your body and image. Go Matt!

That is a totally fantastic NSV!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait till I reach that point. I hide behind furniture, kids, ANYTHING when a camera is out!

wow, very inspiring .. great job!

That's definitely an NSV and a great one at that!
Isn't that a great feeling? I love looking at before photos of myself and even though I cringe at some of them, it's great to see physical proof of the changes I have made in my life.
And yes, I've turned into a total camera hog! :D

:carrot: Great job! Could you make the new and improved version pic too, next to your older ones, bigger? You do look handsome. The day where we don't have to run and hide from the camera in fear of frightening ourselves and everyone around us, is an awesome day. Bravo.

Oh how I can relate to this. I have 20+ years of photo albums of my children and their dad. I am in SO few of those pics, it practically looks like my husband is a single dad. I avoided that camera at all costs.
And now of course I am a camera HOG. :)
This is going to sound weird and I could be way off base, but this has been my experience - not only do you not look like the same person, if you are anything like me, I bet you're not the same person. Well of course you ARE the same person, but again, if you're like me, this has been not just a physical change, but an emotional change, a growing experience and for me, it really did change my inner core, and my *personality*.
Regardless, I see a man who has taken charge of his life. And I really, really, REALLY like what I see. ;).

Same thing happened to me, I used to avoid cameras like the plague... and it is amazing how at the size I was, was actually able to hide from it in numerous ocasions ! :) Today I love to take pictures, see how far Iīve come... and at least in my case rockinrobin couldnīt have said it better, I am not the same person!!
AWESOME job Matt, you look GREAT!!!

Amazing! That's a great NSV. I've always loved to model for the camera, but I can imagine that when I'm as close to goal as you are people will be asking me to stop taking pictures.

Wow, Matt! You've gone through such an amazing transformation! Congrats!

Awesome Matt! I feel the same way I hated pictures at my highest weight but like them now.

You look awesome and I think it is a great NSV. I'm still a little camera shy, but not as bad as I was. I can't wait to join you in this one.

You look great Matt, you're right, there's no reason to avoid the camera any more. Now you just need to smile in those pictures!
