Default What are you glad you're not tempted by?

So there's all these threads around about substitutions, and what's so good you can't possibly do without it.

i'm wondering what things you don't care about that other people seem to crave?

For example i think soda drinks are disgusting, i prefer black coffee to white and i've never been bothered about icecream - it's COLD for goodness sake, urrrgh. (Cheese, peanut butter, chocolate and lots of other things are a different story but at least there are some things that i find easy to resist that other people find difficult....)

How about you?

Mayonnaise. I find it utterly loathsome, and always have. I'm also not terribly keen on most cheeses. I'm starting to find myself pretty indifferent to pasta, as well. I mean, it's tasty, but I have no trouble at all deciding it isn't worth the caloric hit.

Fast food. It's everywhere but fortunately is zero temptation for me. I think it's because I've become a food snob since I changed my life and won't settle for inferior quality food!

Fried foods. Blech... and greasy foods. I also am not a fan of peanut butter, and I get tired of chocolate easily, same with quite a few things that are mostly all sugar. And I hate potato chips... always have.

Now... those chocolate donette things from Hostess... I could eat a ton of those. As well as smarties. Smarties are like... my addiction.

I'm not keen on fried foods either!

Office eating. I read posts here about people that have to resist break room food and I'm glad I don't have to face this all the time.

I'm right there with you on the mayo! It's so gross! So that means I'm not tempted by chicken salad, potato salad, pasta salad, or anything else made with mayo.

The one I'm most thankful for is ice cream. My husband eats a HUGE bowl nightly (and has for all 20 years of our marriage), and I'm never tempted by it.

I also don't like mayo (but have at least 7 varieties of mustard in my fridge at any time).

Probably my biggest daily temptation is peanut butter. Every night when I'm making my son's sandwich for the next day, I contemplate eating a big spoonful of PNB out of the jar. I usually settle for licking the knife. ;-) love, Love, LOVE the stuff.

Fast Food. I've never really been a fan. When it sounds good, I've had too much to drink. (And I don't have too much to drink anymore, either. Too many calories I could use for real food. I'm the DD now.)

Most baked goods, especially if it comes wrapped in plastic. If mu vegan friend makes her special banana bread, I'm in trouble, but most commercially baked items I find really disappointing and not worth the calories.

Chocolate, ice cream and pasta. I can take or leave any of those three and so far I'm pretty much leaving them :O)

Mayo. I've thought it was gross since I was little
Doughnuts/pastries are always way disappointing
chips. I've never been a fan.
Ice cream. Never wanted huge portions
waffles and pancakes I'll eat them but they aren't something i've ever craved.

My biggest temptation is my own kitchen. I love to bake. I love to eat what I've baked too. My poor kitchenaide stand mixer hasn't been used in weeks. I use to use it just about daily for something. Meat loaf. Mashed potatoes. various baked goods. Who knew that it would ever sit there lonely.

Oh my goodness, if this were me I'd be THIN!! No problem!! LOL!

For me:

Candy. If it's not chocolate, I do not care.

Now that I've started eating cleanly the ONLY thing I still can not say "no" without ease is chocolate.

Pop is pretty much it for me. My mom wouldn't let me have much of it when I was a kid, so I never got used to having it. Lately, I have not really liked donuts. They taste greasy to me, as if I can taste the oil they're cooked in and not the flavour.

But everything else...chocolate, icecream, iced cake, heck, just the icing....eeeeekeeeek.

I like to eat EVERYTHING. I don't think there is anything that I don't like that the average person would like. I guess I don't really care about fast food, but I do LOVE a chick-fil-a chicken sandwhich (don't care about the fries). I just love food. I can't help it. Thank God there is a tiny bit of retraint in my brain somewhere or I'd be in a world of trouble!
